I stayed one day with my family on 21.02.2020 at this hotel, I booked this hotel through Agoda and paid as well, but when I arrived the hotel , they said they didn’t receive any update about my booking and request me to pay directly to the hotel as they have the room availability, Mr. Chirath from Front office was very supportive and explain that he is facing these kind of issues with Agoda regularly, finally he gave me good discounts and provide suite category room for the normal rate, I lodge the complain to agoda and they apologies for the inconvenience and assured the reimbursement within 30 days. Therefore, it’s better if you want to book room, contact he hotel via email directly The hotel was very pleasant and well maintained, the location with beach and large pool was the main attraction of the hotel, the food was Okay nothing much special, the room was very spacious and comfortable, staff were very kind and always ready to assist for the needs. The guitars played during the buffet time was very loud and not pleasing, over all the hotel will be a suitable place for you to get relaxed and enjoy your holidays. But the hotel should stop to provide their beach side premises to private parties, During my stay the same premises was given to one company for their employee get-together, they played the DJ music with very loud noise and it was really making annoyance and nuisance to all the guests, the hotel was fully packed with the people and guest were struggling to have their privacy. When I complain they said this was booked before, due to lack of businesses in the past, but the reason is not acceptable as it’s spoiling the purpose of choosing the hotel for the relaxation, So please make sure there are no private party when you book the rooms.

Wow- what an incredible resort. It was the last destination for our 2 week holiday around Sri Lanka & it was amazin!. Definitely a place that you could stay for a week or more to relax & unwind and do day tours from, if required. The staff were polite & so helpful. A personal staff member is assigned to you-we had the charming Chaminda-who tended to our every need. The house boys and other staff were also lovely. We met the General Manager-who was delightful & assured us that nothing was too difficult. The food was exceptional, with no buffets, but a-la-carte dining for all meals. The chef came out to meet us & was able to satisfy one of our gluten free friends with ease. The pool & other equipment is good. I would highly recommend this boutique resort if travelling to Sri Lanka-you don't need to go elsewhere-just relax & enjoy the serenity!!!

Just Wow! This property is just so amazing. It is a little piece of heaven just before Putnam town but transforms you to a little oasis away from it all. It is the perfect hide out for those who want to get away and just catch up with family or close friends. Play board games, watch movies and enjoy the garden and the solitude this place provides. For the more adventurous, it is also very close to Wilpattu National Park for wild life enthusiasts, close to Kalpitiya for those who want to kite surf or whale/dolphin watch and Anuradhapura and the cultural triangle for those culture buffs. Thus loads to do if you want to explore! However one of the best thing about Bethany is the food! :-) From the tin kiri tea, to the prawn curry and paratas and pretty much everything done at Bethany, is done very well. Both the eastern and western food are amazing. Not a surprise being owned by total foodies! All in all this is our go to place for family and friends get aways and will be back again soon on our next trip to SL. Thanks so much to Chaminda and all the staff who looked after us so well. Azam you continue to amaze with all the detail in the garden that continues to improve every time. It is just amazing! Last but not least ask to meet the killer Bethany pack of beagles! :-) They are just a delight and if at all it will be death by eating or I should clarify over eating! :-)

Stayed in the suit room for two nights. Beautiful location with sunset and sunrise visible form two balconies on either side of the room. Food was ok but limited choice of seafood for a hotel located in a lagoon. Many maintenance issues. Room safe was not working and a replacement had to be hand carried on the stairs by someone to our third floor.  TV was not functioning and that was fixed as well. Jacuzzi was not working, and the electronic panel was replaced to make it function but only to discover that there was lot of dirt and residue found on the bottom most probably due to lack of maintenance. Attitude:  Restaurant staff needs a training in attitude. No greetings of good mornings or good nights or not even a local Ayubowan. All looked uninterested and reserved. Restaurant was so warm and humid even at night as the temperature hit 36’C. On the first day I was served a bottled beer with a huge unmelted “ Glacier” in it. The lady in the restaurant pored a small portion and left the rest of it on the table without even noticing the huge lump of ice inside it. When complained It was replaced. The second day when we tried to sit down for dinner in the main restaurant near a fan, at the same place where we sat on the previous night, one Nipuni with very poor attitude told us we cant sit there as it was reserved. There were no reserved signs on any of the tables. When we complained, we are taken into a supposedly to a better corner but limited air conditioning made us uncomfortable and sweaty. This location is a beautiful place but people who are running it made our stay uncomfortable.

Having spent a month travelling around Sri Lanka with two young boys we were excited to spend the last bit of our trip relaxing at Dolphin Beach. Our stay here was an absolute highlight of our time in this magnificent country. From the minute we arrived until we left 5 days later, Pat the lovely manager and her team made us feel like we were at home and couldn’t do enough for us. The family tent was lovely and spacious and the communal areas were incredible. So peaceful, so many amazing spots to chill and some wonderful activities all laid on it seemed silly not to get involved. Whale and dolphin watching, yoga and massage, kite surfing....it was all brilliant and made our time there unforgettable. The staff were so friendly and helpful, the place was beautiful and we’re already so excited to go back there again one day! Those sunsets and memories will be with us forever. Thanks Pat- we miss you! Xx

For me as a beginner it was the best spot I could go especially to improve my skills. Therefore I have to thank my instructor Jan. I already had 3 training courses at 3 different other places. When somebody wants to learn kitesurfing, thät's the place to go.There is big flatwater lagoon with enough place for each kiter and if are experienced with waves you can kite on the open sea. It's devided only by 50m from the lagoon. The wind yield wasn't bad. In 20 days only 5 days without wind. The resort is a great place to stay. Rooms are very clean and nicely furnished. The whole crew is very friendly and always helpful. Food is delicious. For breakfast, lunch and dinner there is a buffet. In the office you can book different trips. For example a trip to a National Park or a trip to dolphin watching and others. If you are experienced to kite waves I highly recommend the trip for the 17km downwinder. That's a highlight for sure. All in all I can highly recommend that place and I'll be back for sure.

We stayed at Elements for 4 nights in a beach villa. Our first holiday to Sri Lanka with a 2 year old. All our communications with the hotel's manager before our arrival were prompt and very helpful. Samitha arranged a pick up from the airport and also booked a kite surfing course for me. I fell in love with the villa s giant hammock and the whole setting. This is real nature. One of the most beautiful sunsets I have ever seen. The villa is spacious ,arranged on three levels and there is a lovely outdoor jungle shower. This is an eco resort. There are no plastic bottles or any unnecessary junk. But you have everything you need inc a small fridge and a kettle. The night time at the villa was unique as it was really important to keep your mosquito net properly sealed so that insects do not come into your bed. The donkeys that roam the fields around the villas can sometimes be noisy but we got used to them, they were part of the experience. It was a wonderful detox from modern world's cognitive noise and distraction. There was food WiFi at the restaurant and lounge area. The fact that the price included dinner was very welcomed as there aren't many options for dining in the area. Every night the meal was delicious and we would like to thank Roy (chef) who proudly told me that he has 22years of experience in hotel catering. All the staff was smiley, polite and helpful. We soon got to meet most of the hotel residents and there was a lot of mingling in the chill out lounge. The babies and children were all happy playing on the sandy floor of the restaurant or running around at the chill out lounge. The sea was beautiful and the sand white and soft. The hotel has an advantageous spot for kite surfing and I really enjoyed all my lessons. The story of how the owners started this resort and their ethics behind it is very interesting. This is a must place to visit in Sri lanka and I am hoping to come back again for some more kite surfing! PS: Tip: go for the beach villa if you can best view and closest to the sea
