Maude Street, Kendal, Cumbria, United Kingdom
"My abiding memory of my stay at the Kendal Premier Inn will be the two members of staff that I met; Samantha and Diane were the highlights of the stay, going that extra mile to ensure that my stay was as comfortable as possible despite having their hands tied in certain situations by higher management and contractors. The rooms were standard Premier Inn with some new additions including a good TV (when they get them installed properly). Covid 19 protections and protocols were excellent and the inn was very clean. Located in the centre of the town, close to all its amenities and public transport links, shops, restaurants, pubs and bars."
"From the warm, friendly welcome, comfortable room and great location just off the main high street this Premier Inn did not disappoint. A bit further off the motorway than we realised but well worth the extra 10 mins. With lockdown there were still plenty of opportunities to get a meal or use JustEat and the receptionist even offered to bring it to our room!!!!! Be aware that there is an on-site parking charge of £5 p/n but nearby parking is available."
"Friendly staff. Always in reception. Easy parking- paid £5 per day. Good location for work and for food delivery and collecting. Room was clean and a good size to work and relax. Beautiful walks very close by."

"Set in a quiet lane 15 minutes from Windermere . We stayed in a little cottage with 2 singles down stairs and Double up stairs . Really comfortable beds . Tea coffee facilities . Iron , ironing board . hairdryer , really comfortable rooms . Bath with shower over . Could do with curtain over window in there cos if blind is up people can see straight in no privacy . And blind on front door as car park lights shine straight in very bright . Lovely breakfast . Everything you could fill up on for £12 Per person. Cereal juice cooked full breakfast Vegan breakfast Toast pastries yogurt tea coffee But if you wanted just cereal that was ok to for less money . We ate in the Bar Restaurant of night to which was also excellent , chicken, lamb shank, Burger, Fish chips . Desert good to . Can not fault . Lovely and clean everywhere too . Good service and very friendly . Lovely little hotel . Only thing wish there was parking spaces in car park . As one night some people had taken up two spaces to themselves . So we had a problem parking . But think Hotel is looking into this . Reception nice , but settees look tired and wasn’t particularly keen to sit on them ! Really nice place . Definitely recommend. Thank you for a lovely stay "
"We picked this place on a whim as our travel plans were effected by Covid-19. We were in awe as we drove the country roads into this location, the trees, fields with sheep, mountains in the distance and rolling hills. The location is easy to find, parking was no problem. We were greeted with a warm fire burning in the entry lounge and some of the nicest people we have met while here in the UK. They were so accommodating with our rooms as we switched to be closer to our other family. The rooms were nice, could use an update and deep clean, but the felling on the property was so welcoming. There is a pond out back with benches to sit and watch the ducks and sheep. They offer a dinner in their restaurant, we went both nights and were so happy with the service and food. So good! The included English breakfast was amazing! We even took advantage of their sack lunch one day and that was so convenient, we just parked by a field with sheep as we were out driving and sat and enjoyed our sack lunch. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND this location for anyone wanting to experience the hills and beauty of England! "
"Stayed as a family of 5, my wife, 2 sons (26 & 23), one girlfriend and one well-behaved Airedale - 2 nights on return from Scotland holiday. First night late arrival (22:00 pm) which was accommodated following a quick call to advise. Open coal fire still burning which was a very welcome feature. Breakfast next morning was amazing value for money - £12.00 per person and the Full English was packed with high quality cooked ingredients as well as many other 'trimmings' such as cereals, pastries, juices, unlimited tea or coffee etc - very highly recommended. Room was spacious with beautiful views across fields. Gardens are extensive and beautiful. Spa facilities a nice addition - booked treatments also at very reasonable prices. This hotel is deliberately not modern and a tiny bit tired but this all adds to its charm. Being only a 10 minute drive from the centre of Bowness added to its great value for money. Definitely recommend"

"The hotel is situated on the shore of the lake and has a beautiful view. It is a pity that there are not enough facilities nearby. The nearby shopping malls only have McDonald's and petrol station stores."
"Breakfast is ok, there is free parking, this is too important, the parking fee in the UK is scary..."

Milnthorpe Road, Kendal, Cumbria, United Kingdom
"From the initial booking to check out this was a very enjoyable experience. The original intention of a week in Scotland meeting old friends to celebrate a milestone birthday were cancelled by COVID19 restrictions so a quick alternative was needed. Having seen an advert for a 3 for 2 nights break offer from Best Western we decided a short trip to the Lake District would suit as it was equidistant from me in Gloucestershire and my friends in Fife. We were made very welcome by all the staff. The rooms were very comfortable with good bathrooms and beds. We enjoyed delicious breakfasts each morning as well as a very good dinner on the first night. Sadly we didn't get the opportunity to use the leisure facilities as we did not find the time. Ample car parking and easy access to Windermere etc suited us very well. The COVID19 precautions were first class without being too obtrusive. Overall great value for money. Thanks for a great stay and we will certainly return next time we are in the area."
"I stayed here with my partner for two nights and we both had a relaxing break. We had dinner in the restaurant on the first night and breakfast both mornings and the food was lovely. There were Covid restrictions in place at the hotel, however we were still able to use the pool on a 'four people at a time' basis which worked well. The bar shut at 10pm in line with Government restrictions, but we had the option to order drinks to our room if wanted which was handy. I accidentally left a pair of my shoes in the room when we left and the hotel staff kindly posted them back to me so they really go above and beyond! I would recommend staying at the hotel which is a short walk to Kendal Centre and a short drive to Windermere. We would stay here again!"
"Didn’t want to have to drive all the way home from Scotland so checked booking.com for a overnight stay. This was £57 for the night and was the second cheapest (after travel lodge, but we didn’t want to stay there). Hotel was really nice, didn’t get chance to use the facilities as there is a spa there. Food was nice, although I only had a snack. Parking available. Really comfy bed, it was massive too! We stayed in the lounge area having some drinks and watching the TV. Great stopover. Would come back if we were in the area!"

"We recently visited Cumbria, and had left booking a hotel until the last minute. Everywhere we tried was fully booked. We managed to find one room in Travelodge (the last one) and at £66 it was very cheap. At first we were pleased. We got a room at a budget price, with free parking and got a space outside without issue. The man on reception was really friendly and welcoming, and our room was on the ground floor. The room was geared up for wheelchair users, with the sink lower down etc. This meant that we had to crouch down to wash our hands in the sink; we didn’t mind this at all though and felt glad that the hotel caters for all. However there was a wet room rather than a shower over bath and there was the most awful smell. It was a damp mould sort of smell. The bathroom was visibly clean so I can only imagine the smell was from the standing water where the wet room drain is. It was just such an intense potent smell it made me feel ill and I started wheezing a little. I cleaned the bathroom myself but it didn’t make a difference in terms of the smell. The room was basic and a bit tired but very clean. There was plenty of tea and coffee, four pillows provided not two (which was welcome as in other hotels we had to constantly ask for more pillows), and the staff were friendly. It’s just the bathroom smell that let it down. I didn’t try to exchange rooms as we already knew we’d booked the last room and the hotel was full. We were only staying one night so decided it was bearable but would never stay in that room again. There are people with limited mobility that may have to choose that room for access so I hope the smell can be sorted because no one should have to deal with it. "
"Stayed here for 4 nights and had a superb stay. Room was very clean and staff very friendly especially the girl on reception can't remember her name. Nice location for touring the lakes. Would highly recommend the Fish Express restaurant in Kendal town centre they do a special fish and chip meal for £7.70 sitting in with tea/coffee, bread and butter or mushy peas. It was delicious. "
"Great location, very near to Kendal, extremely friendly staff and great to be able to take our dog. Value for money when you book early. Found parking extremely easy. Loads to do in the area. If looking for some where to eat in the area, would recommend the Eagle & Child Staveley or the Water Mill at Ings , both Pubs have great food and local beers. "
