limni keri, Zakinthos Island, Ionian Islands, Greece

"First family holiday to Zankythos and Kookis Village; we were certainly not dissapointed. Zante as an island is pretty with plenty too see and do. The more developed resorts of Laganas and Kalamiki were not to our taste - more geared around the younger visitors with lots of bars, nightlife etc. Limni Keri on the other hand was a relatively quiet small, beach front town probably 20 minutes drive from the airport with a range of tavernas. Kookis Village is a small complex of private villas, we had a one bedroom villa with a private pool. The complex is run by Anthonis and his family; who were all very friendly, polite and cheerful; they made us feel very welcome from the moment we arrived and throughout our stay. The villa itself was large with one large double bedroom with ensuite on the first floor and the two twin beds being formed form the sofa in the ground floor lounge area. There was also a bathroom on the ground floor and kitchen dining area. It was well appointed and spacious for the the four of us. The villa was well maintained and was absolutely spotlessly clean throughout. There was daily maid service and the towels were changed every two days, (not something we expected on a self catering holiday). The private pool was superb and the kids thoroughly enjoyed it. Overall Kookis Village and Anthonis and his family were exceptional, it truly is a little gem. If you are visiting, we would highly recommend a hire car to get around the island. Highlights for us were the Blue Caves trip, the Shipwreck viewing point, dinner at Michaelis restaurant at sunset in Kambi, Denis Taverna, Windmill restaurant, (both on the main road between Keri and Laganas). Thank you again to Anthonis and his family."
"We had a lovely holiday staying at the Kookis Village. It was my partner, our 15 month old daughter and myself. The owners were great and onsite so you could have breakfast delivered to your patio or as we did just visit the local supermarket and bakery. We would like to say a big thank you to Niki and Antonis's mother who went out of their way to make our stay exceptional. We had a car so we traveled around the Island which was stunning, we visited the shipwreck beach and took the boat to the beach which was stunning. We also visited Zakyntos town and surrounding areas all of which were easy to get to. "
"Just arrived home from possibly the best 10 days we’ve had as a family on holiday. From the free transfer to breakfast served on the terrace, this place is magical. Clean, friendly, well located and super relaxing. What more could you want! I honestly felt like I was a celebrity in an exclusive villa. Well worth a visit, pool is spacious, comfy loungers, great air con, well equipped kitchen. Thanks for having us, you will see us again. Special thanks to Maria and Nikki for serving us fabulous home cooked breakfast every morning with a smile. "
