"Beautiful hotel with impeccable style and incredible room/bathroom comfort. We did not want to leave this hotel and 2 nights was not enough. However we did have an issue with breakfast our second day, which ended up causing us to miss our speedy bus and as a result, we spent 8 hours on a slow bus which stopped thousands of times and had no AC and was mosquito infested. Moral of the story...when they say breakfast will be ready a delivered at 7 am...know it is really 7:30 and if you have a bus or plane to catch, take the option of breakfast to go. It was a very painful and flawed call on our part...but the hotel is so nice we never doubted them when they said breakfast would be delivered at 7 am. The breakfast was delicious and the restaurant had good food too. We really appreciated the water cooler in the gym to refill our reusable water bottles. The hotel staff was extra friendly and the location was convenient to both old town and new town. We were able to walk to shops and restaurants and felt super safe. Would definitely stay here again and highly recommend."
"The hotel has very spacious well decorated rooms and is made to look like an old factory. It is very well designed with tasteful interior that gives the impression of a colonial era in a charming industrial setting. We stayed for 3 weeks in the hotel and had a fantastic experience. The people were all very nice and welcoming and provided very good service throughout. There is a sizeable gym and there is a separate area where you can work or watch TV. The library is absolutely beautiful. They also serve a very nice breakfast which is included in the room rate. Having said that, this breakfast is the only small point of critique I have. Even though there are various small dishes served (sweet yoghurt, small pastries, fresh orange juice and an egg of your choosing) you don't really have a choice in what is being served. After a few days of having the same breakfast, it became a bit predictable so we decided to have breakfast at Cafe de Aca which is a 1 minute walk from the hotel. I highly recommend the hotel and would certainly stay there again."
"This was my first visit to both Asuncion and Paraguay. I have been very impressed. The hotel Factor铆a is amazing and almost indescribable. It a new building built to resemble an old 1890 factory building. Every aspect of everything is old looking. The best way to describe the hotel is to I agin what Restoration Hardware would build and you鈥檝e got it. Over the top.. the rooms are very large with every convenience. The pool area is stunning, the service is top notch. The restaurant was great and very good. This hotel is located in the best area in Asuncion with lots of restaurants, cafes, and shops close by. Very up market style. I highly recommend the Factor铆a hotel"

Aviadores Del Chaco 2066, Asuncion, Gran Asuncion, Paraguay
"I wasn't very happy with my stay at the Sheraton Asuncion. The location depends on what you are going. I came with several colleagues and we had meetings near-by, but it is about 15 - 20 minutes to the old center of Asuncion. This is a nice neighborhood of Asuncion with good restaurants and malls just near the hotel. When we arrived is was cold and rainy - and the rooms were all cold as well. Heating didn't work even after requests to fix the problem. The rooms were fairly dark with low wattage lamps. The internet was horrible and it was difficult for us to work. In my room I had to sit next to the door in order to receive the signal. The safe in my room was also a problem. Everytime I used it I had to lock it three times... the first time it didn't work, the second time it closed but then opened (!) and the third time it worked. Over and over... The key to my room would often stop working and I had to have it reprogrammed several times. There are obviously technical challenges that the hotel needs to overcome. I had booked a city view, which I think is better than the view I had which was of a large roof and a car park - with a park behind (see picture). I thought the restaurant was very pleasant and breakfast was good. The restaurant staff was excellent. I was particularly irritated when I arrived early in the morning and the room was ready. I had received an email several hours before arriving asking me to check in online to be assured of a room when I arrived. I arrived very early - about 0900 so I can understand that the room wasn't ready. My friends and I went to the restaurant. We were told the rooms would be ready soon. After about an hour one of my colleague's rooms was ready - and the person at the reception told him mine was also ready. He came to get me at the restaurant and when I went to get my key I was told that this wasn't the case (had they given my room to someone else?). However, they said the room had already been cleaned but had to be inspected... Long story short I got the room almost two hours after that. All in all I had waited almost four hours. The staff should not have been telling me "another 10 minutes, " "soon".... and from the beginning made it clear that I would have to wait hours to get the room. The whole thing was handled very poorly."
"My husband and I ended up in Paraguay 馃嚨馃嚲 by accident. Our travel agent forgot to give us our visa鈥檚 when we arrived in Rio, Brazil. Long story short, we had to leave the country immediately and the closest place that allows you to apply for a visa in 5 minutes was Paraguay. I Hadn鈥檛 really heard much about Paraguay before so I really didn鈥檛 know what to expect and I wasn鈥檛 that excited. We arrived at the hotel with perfect weather, a friendly staff and nice room. We actually ended up loving our short visit. The restaurant is wonderful and the pool bar was perfect. They recommend a restaurant for dinner on top of the World Trade Center, called Zulu. It was a perfect night! Great music, amazing food and wonderful atmosphere. I鈥檓 used to staying in five star hotels, I would consider this a four-star hotel. If you鈥檙e in Patagonia this is the nicest hotel and I think anybody stays there would really enjoy it!"
"We stayed for 5 nights. Rooms were clean and mattresses were nice and firm. Staff was friendly and hotel breakfast was suitable. We also had a meal in the restaurant and it was good , so overall I would give it 4 stars. "

Avenida Del Yacht # 11, Asuncion, Gran Asuncion, Paraguay
"To start the front desk people were somewhat rude on arrival, like they were not nice as they should be when you arrive, they are the first face of the hotel on arrival. The bellboy was very nice, so nice he made us forget the previous experience with the reception desk. The rooms are very nice we booked two. One of them the AC was not working to enough to battle the heat of Asuncion summer and leaking permanently and maintenance people came in once and fix it but it never cooled as to be comfortable. In the other room we found roaches at night, both nights. Both rooms were very nice with a good TV but the cable reception wasn鈥檛 that good. There were plenty of channels on the list but some of them didn鈥檛 work. The internet WIFI was not good either, I had to change an app password and I received a message that a password had been changed from a place in Chicago 馃拋?? There was a very comfortable and spacious desk but there was no place to plug-in the computer, the closest one was to far for the cable to reach. Overall it was mediocre for the price and the fame of the place in Asuncion, but the people that work there except for the ones at checkin deserve the best stars. Because with all the deficiencies of the Hotel always had a smile and were ready to help, like all people in Paraguay they were amazing hosts."
"This is a great place to relax in Asunci贸n. The grounds are beautiful and impeccable. The rooms are spacious and updated and WiFi throughout included. The tennis courts are clay (about 10 of them) and prepped after each set (use included in stay). The breakfast is huge and fresh and delicious with omelette made to taste daily if you like. The restaurants are good .... the stuffed chicken breast was amazing. All staff and servers were very helpful and friendly. I would stay here again. Our conference service was excellent as well (90 people for 2 full days). Golf was available but I don鈥檛 golf .... we did horseback ride."
"The resort is located on the river and is a great location. You would think you weren't in Asuncion. The room are huge, clean, comfortable with a great river view. While the hotel was is older and built in the 60's, the rooms are gorgeous. We spent one night there and basically had the hotel to ourselves. There is a beautiful golf course, tennis, a marina and lots of things for kids. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The free breakfast was excellent."

MacArthur 444 entre Dr. Hassler y Campos, Asuncion, Gran Asuncion, Paraguay
"I stayed a full week and was very satisfied. The hotel is small-scale, occupying a charming colonial house with a traditional open corridor, a patio with nice greenery and a small pool. There is no traffic noise at all, rather you can hear birds singing in the morning. Rooms (I tried two types) were spacious and comfortable with excellent beds and bathrooms. The a/c (convertible as a heater) was silent and efficient. Along the outdoor corridor there are several comfortable seating areas as well as in the patio (which also houses a barbecue at your disposal). Breakfast was good and service excellent, staff very friendly and forthcoming. Wi-fi was reliable and taxis swiftly available upon request. The hotel also boasts a meeting or TV-room which can be used by the guests. This kind of lodging is still rare in Asunci贸n and this small hotel is highly recommended! Room for improvement: (a) A more varied breakfast would certainly be appreciated; (b) the small gym needs repair and new equipment in order to function as such."
"We spent two separate long weekends at La Casona on our last visit to Paraguay. From the initial communications via the Internet; to the driver meeting us at the airport; to the welcome upon arrival...everything was wonderful! The well refurbished and maintained colonial house has all that we needed. It was comfortable, clean, convenient and felt like we were at home. The owners and staff are friendly, helpful and accomodating. Thank you! We have already recommend La Casona to friends who will visit Paraguay."
"This hotel has a lovely courtyard and fine rooms. We were pleased with the accommodations. No staff member that we met spoke any English. A misunderstanding with the desk clerk soured us on their service. We arrived fairly late at about 7:45. Our guide translated for us at check-in. We asked about dinner service and several choices were mentioned. We proceeded to settle into our comfortable room. Returning for supper about 8:15 the clerk said no. When we didn't comprehend, he used the computer to translate that the kitchen was closed. The material in the room specifically said the kitchen was open until 21:00. Breakfast in the morning was excellent with made to order eggs."

"A Paraguayan friend in France mentioned this boutique hotel to me and I booked in for 2 nights whilst passing through Asuncion. On arrival I received a warm welcome from the reception staff and was instantly impressed with the convent inspired architecture for a building that is only about 10 years old. The courtyard is simply charming and room 109 at least had about a 20m+ living area with kitchenette and a pretty shower room adjacent to the bedroom with plenty of wardrobe space. The kingsized bed was comportable with the fine cotton bedcover I suspect from the stunning local bedding shop called Pilar. On the far side of the courtyard is a Japanese garden leading to a Clubhouse overlookoing the sizeable pool in another delightful garden. It is possible to eat there or In the more formal French restaurant. I really enjoyed just spending quiet time in this tastefully designed hotel with its friendly French manager, local staff and French speaking long term hotel residents."

"Our family stayed here on a medical mission with a large group. The hotel is immaculate, clean, has excellent staff, BUT THE FOOD IS THE TIPPING POINT- SO GOOD!!!! Couldn鈥檛 wait to eat everyday even when exhausted after 12 hours of seeing patients!! I highly recommend!!! tip : check out gift shop for wine by bottle bc bar is pricier.. tip: the soccer museum next door is fun!! make reservations! worth 30 minute tour if you love soccer..!"
"This is an excellent hotel to stay at. The rooms are large and spacious. The staff at this beautiful hotel is always smiling, always accomadating, very professional and top class customer service. They truly pay attention to all the little details. I cannot speak highly enough of room service, the restaurant, concierge, hotel bellman, and the cleaning crew. Just the best and always willing to help you and guide you!"
"Was here for a conference at the convention center, which is right next door to the hotel. Very nice hotel, helpful and friendly staff, and very nice room. Only downside is that the location is not very convenient for anything else other than being close to the convention center. Long story short, I'd definitely stay here again for conferences but would look for a more centrally-located place if I wanted to explore the city."

"Villa Morra Suites was like an oasis after a week of forgettable hotels. The hotel is converted from an old grand mansion, but the rooms feel every bit like mini-apartments fully equipped with a small kitchenette and a separate sitting area. The decor and furniture have not been renovated in a while, but the bathroom definitely feels newer with a stone finish, glass shower stall, high-pressure shower as well a excellent air-conditioning and a proper bed you would find in a nicer hotel and plenty of lighting. I would say the highlight was breakfast in the conservatory - just a beautiful setting and the breads and pastries were fresh, creative and delicious for this picky eater, not to mention several fresh juices and fruit and choice of made-to-order hot dishes. Honestly, I was sorry I wasn't staying longer just for that breakfast! IT is a super quiet area in Villa Morra. There is a mall about 5-10 minutes walk from the hotel, but otherwise there is honestly nothing around for a traveler. If you need to buy drinks or snacks, there is the chicken place around the corner. As a traveler, the main points of interest in Asuncion are in the center, but with traffic expect it to usually take a LONG time to get there and back. No matter what, if I am back in Asuncion I'm pretty sure I'm staying here."
"TITLE: A wonderful surprise in a lovely city! This hotel is located in a quiet area of the city where I felt very safe. This hotel was not only less expensive than the big name chain hotels, but provided a service that was unquestionably the best I've ever had in Paraguay. This is a place that is almost hard to describe! The rooms are all very large suites, with ample seating area in the first room, an enormous and luxuriously comfortable king-size bed, and a nice-sized bathroom, all impeccably clean. As is always important for me when evaluating, the check-in service was excellent. Everyone from the receptionists to the wait staff to the housekeeping people were all genuinely friendly, and they went out of their way to please. This hotel has just a few rooms on each floor, and each floor is decorated in classic local decor. The food at the restaurant was beyond excellent, and the breakfast buffet was one of the best I've had in all of my many trips to South America. I can only say that when in Asuncion again, I will not even bother checking out the many options; Hotel Villa Morra Suites will be my choice. After three days I was disappointed to leave and promised to return.""
"Villa Morra Suites is in the Villa Morra area in central Asuncion. There is a bus stop right outside the hotel and bus 31 connects the hotel with the central bus terminal in 15-20 minutes (4,5 kilometres). The hotel is a lovely oasis in the city with a small pool area, a garden and plenty of trees. The room was big with a living room, a bedroom, and a kitchenette with a mini-bar, microwave and a coffee maker. The huge bed was comfortable and the double windows kept most of the street noise out. Breakfast was amazing. Served in a beautiful restaurant with big glass windows. A lot to choose from like yogurt, fresh fruit, plenty of bread, Belgian waffles, juices, different type of eggs, etc. Very tasty. Friendly and helpful staff. Free and reasonably fast Wi-Fi. I can highly recommend the hotel."

"I have stayed at the Las Lomas hotel for many years now and this is my preferred hotel when staying in Asuncion. I prefer the small boutique hotel offering a more personal service such as fresh breakfast, nice lounge area, polite staff etc. The pricing is great value and location is good based in a quiet area for a good night sleep. The room facilities are very good and a well stocked mini bar, good size bed and very comfortable. I would recommend two points: 1. The fitness equipment requires some modernizing and; 2. The hotel is not to far from the airport so could offer a pick up and drop off service, otherwise this is a very good, relaxing and enjoyable hotel with great staff and a friendly personal service."
"This lovely boutique hotel was our home for 4 nights. The front desk staff )Lourdes and Lina especially), the restaurant staff and the owner's family could not have been more helpful. They worked with us extensively to arrange tours and drivers. I needed a new camera battery charger and Lourdes even contacted her boyfriend to help me. Our room was spacious and comfortable and we enjoyed the courtyard with its swimming pool and nice seating areas. Sol shopping center is an easy walk as is the Gallerias mall with a number of good restaurants."
"I started here with 11 collegues and stayed a bit longer by myself. They were very helpfull. Opening the breakfast earlier for us for instance. I has a beautifull small garden with small pool. It is vegy peacefull. It is on walking distance to a big shopping mall with a lot of nice restaurants. But also close to very nice stand alone restaurants in the neighbourhood. A bit far from the historical center. Our room did not have a balcony. But was very spacious. I loved this place "
