Via Vittorio Veneto, 138, Locorotondo, Apulia, Italy
"If you want an authentic Puglian experience in Locorotondo, you must stay in this hotel. I stayed there last year with friends and fell in love with the place so much that this year, traveling thru Puglia again with my bf, had to make a stop there and enjoy it again. The hotel is very unique as rooms/apartments are spread out across this small town and you have your own place with a kitchen, balcony and a terrace (most rooms but not all). First time around we had a very large 3 floor apartment with two separate bedrooms, kitchen, huge rooftop terrace overlooking a church and traditional rooftops. Second time, the apartment was smaller with open layout but had a balcony and a terrace. Kitchen had everything you need, include a half a bottle of wine and still and sparkling water. Everything was very clean with beautiful layout and design. Wifi was strong. If I'm every Puglia again, I'd definitely be back to this place again."
"Every time I visit Locorotondo I choose to stay here. The rooms are authentic but very comfortable, warm and clean. The apartments are very well equipped should you want to cook for yourself, and have wine and glasses waiting ready for your arrival. Some rooms have small balconies with tables and chairs and there are bigger apartments for families with more than one room and adjoining dinning areas and kitchen. The apartments are in the centre reached by foot without any cars. The streets are beautiful come summer or winter, so being a very small town it’s just lovely to wonder around looking up at the buildings and decor the locals put out in the streets There are also restaurants and pizzerias all within walking distance. "
"We recently had the pleasure of lodging in an interesting apartment in the old town of Locorotondo. We shared our two story - 2 bedroom, 2 bath with my sister and her husband. The apartment was absolutely beautiful. Being in the old town there are no views to speak of from the apartment, but just outside our door is the old town with restaurants, shops, cathedrals and a beautiful park area. Locorotondo is thought of as being one of the most beautiful towns in Italy. We would agree 100%. The streets are clean and pots with colorful flowers abound! Great food and wine on every corner. Breakfast was across the street and was fabulous. Don't hesitate to stay here."

Litoranea 379, Fasano, Apulia, Italy
"Of this wonderful hotel, where no animal is allowed (finally a place to rest!!) nor kids under 14. A historical site full of charme and atmosphere, so well taken care of, surrounded by olive trees, fig plants, you walk thru the tuff stones and the lovely flowers, a full immersion into perfumes, colours, light. The bedrooms are very big and comfortable, giant beds, so comfy!! You wake up with the birds’ singing. In the bathroom, very well organised, you find all you need and flowers on your arrival. Fresh fruit from the house trees, fantastic figs, grapes, peaches...a HUGE swimming pool (55 mt) with salted water will cool you down in the hot summer days, with natural rocks and little falls, it’s a pleasure for the eyes and all senses. You can rest under millennial olive trees’ shadow, with the breeze coming from the sea. There are 2 tennis fields, a spa with thalassic-therapy very professional, with a big hot water pool and many rooms for all sort of treatments. The breakfast is amazing, best breakfast ever: fresh local fruits, homemade cakes, fabulous homemade breads , juices, diet jam, and whatever you have the first day, tea or latte or coffee, they remember your choice and let you find it every morning on your table, with no need to ask further. The girls of breakfast are all very nice and kind, you feel like the Sleeping Beauty with her fairies, they really spoil you with all what you want and are so sweet! I’ll remember Angela for her spontaneous sympathy and kindness. At the restaurant San Domenico I had some bad nights, with confusion and not so good food, but usually is good, not fabulous, and the Sunday night with the Pugliese buffet is fantastic, not to be miss. In the end, a memorable vacation that will be repeated for sure. "
"We spent five nights here recently and had a wonderful time. We're not kids, travel a lot, and stay in a lot of very nice hotels. This is among the nicest we've ever stayed in. It's set among olive groves and the property is beautiful. The staff was friendly and excellent, the pools really nice, the spa (which we didn't use, was lovely), even the gym, which I did use, was great. We stayed in a really nicely appointed junior suite which had a marvelous view over the olive groves to the sea. The room itself was very spacious, very nicely furnished, and had two full bathrooms (how often to you see that). We didn't see other rooms but the building itself is very interesting and, considering how well this place is run, I'd assume they were up to the same standards. Breakfast was a wonderful buffet as well as cooking you anything you' like This is truly a luxury destination, not cheap, but worth the cost"
"My husband and I stayed here 3 days and the accommodations were comfortable and clean and quite large. The breakfast buffet was amazing with too many delicious choices and the on site restaurant had a creative selection of local dishes and everything we sampled was top notch. The property boasts thousands of olive trees as well a pomegranate trees and palms and beautiful gardens. There are 2 pools and a fully equipped spa. The staff was friendly and professional and we have many wonderful memories of our stay at Masseria San Domenico, Fasano Italy"

Contrada Losciale 63, Monopoli, Apulia, Italy
"We stayed here for a couple of days during the last weekend of September. The weather was great and we had a fabulous time. The hotel had only 13 rooms and therefore exclusivity is the primary selling point. The hotel is in a wonderful location right on top of the sea with its own private beach and even has created a private swimming area in the sea due to the rocky entry. The rooms are well appointed and spacious. They have a private patio area at both ends, one overlooking the sea and the other end looking at the pool area. There is also steps up to a roof terrace. There are several pools but the main one is massive for a hotel of this size. Why then you may ask have I only scored it average. The key areas of concern are around service. First issue, is the breakfast idea is completely flawed. The idea being the night before you tick the things you want and leave the list outside. In the morning at your stated time you open your doors and the breakfast is set up for you in your terrace overlooking the sea. Nice idea but in reality if anything needs changing, for example poached eggs like cricket balls, cold coffee or lack of butter etc, then you either have to find someone or wait for whenever one of the other rooms have their breakfast at some point. On top of this we had the misfortune to be next to a room with two very boisterous Australian ladies who puffed cigs and screeched throughout our breakfast. Not exactly the exclusive romantic breakfast I was expecting. In addition, the raw materials used were very average. We then went to the small private beach which is lovely. Very difficult to enter the beautiful sea though due to very sharp and slippy rocks. Quite relaxing for a while until not only did our Aussie friends turn up but half a dozen more Aussies also turned up from their sister hotel. Getting a drink on the beach also requires you getting your shirt and shoes on and walking to the bar to order it. No prospect of anyone coming to you. We took an 800m walk along the public beach where you will find a decent bar and a very sandy and easy access to a turquoise Adriatic Sea. Clean and clear. On our last evening we booked at a Michelin restaurant 3miles down the road. Due Camini-go there if you want to see top service. When we enquired about a taxi we were told it was €40 each way. Since you’ve got no choice unless you want to drive, we did it. That’s just taking advantage. I have reviewed separately the Saleblu restaurant but I must just mention we had Sunday lunch there also which was rubbish in every way. Won’t bore you with details. There’s a few other things but you get the drift. It may be that in peak season when all the Italians come its a different story but for us this is no way an exclusive venue. It’s a nice venue and worth the money just for location. "
"A lovely position on the edge of the sea with a boutique hotel feel and a great bar and restaurant to take in the stunning sea views. There is a large heated and unheated pool, with smaller pools dotted around the rooms so you can always find a pool to yourself! The room was bright, clean with two bathrooms and a picture window to take in the views. Lovely to hear the sound of the sea as you sleep. It would have been nice to have been offered drinks etc whilst sunbathing by the pool, but otherwise I cannot fault the place. Lovely friendly staff and an amazing choice of breakfast options."
"The hotel is beautifully located by the sea and all rooms are sea facing. The hotel is also conveniently located to explore Puglia by car. My wife and I visited a number of towns within an hour from the hotel, including Bari, Cisternino, Polignano a Mare, Ostuni, Monopoli, Alberobello and Locorotondo. There are two big outdoor pools at the hotel. One heated and one not. No children under the age of 12 welcome, which is good if one does not like having children around during vacation. The staff is very friendly but as there is no hotel manager present to orchestrate the running of the hotel one can get the feeling that things are run a bit ad hoc by instinct rather than by a certain common strategy or philosophy. Being experienced travellers the sense that stayed with us was that for the price we paid we expected much more. The rooms are not very well insolated so one hears everything the neighbors do in their room and on their terrace. Breakfast was served in the room or terrace. We always prefer a buffet but here one had to fill out a menu card the night before and we found it rather awkward not being able to choose from a buffet. The dinner was a disappointment. No new or creative dishes. Very traditional pasta and seafood/fish. We even had to complain about the meat the first time we ordered meat. Was impossible to eat and even the staff agreed that it should not have been served. Next day we told the staff that we wanted good meat for dinner and that evening the quality of the meat was very good, even though still very 70th -ish in preparation. If the dinner room/restaurant is busy service is slow. We have a feeling that the number of kitchen staff is the same whether 5 or 15 tables are occupied. Would we recommend this hotel? Definitely not for the price we paid. There are too many downsides and too few upsides. The hotel needs to really refurbish all rooms and make them better insolated. To hear the neighbour brush their teeth and flush the toilet is a little bit too much. We were lucky with the weather during our stay. We could sunbathe and also swim in the sea. If weather is bad there is nothing to do in the hotel. All facilities (SPA, sports etc) are located in a sister hotel some distance apart. Even if they arrange transport to the sister hotel, it is an inconvenience not having any facilities except swimming pools in the hotel. We stayed for 5 days. I am member of Small Luxury Hotels of the world and have the highest status level. But there was no recognition of this at all during our stay. Usually you are entitled to an upgrade, some perks etc. Unless the small fruit platter we received the first day was this recognition...... So, a beautifully located little `gem to be` with the above changes and a more involved management team with a clearer strategic purpose for the hotel and staff and a more modern menu, a beach side hotel 3.0 for the 21st century."

"It’s my second stay in Masseria San Francesco, the first was last year as I was in Puglia for a wedding in a Masseria nearby. As I had a lovely time I decided to return for another two night stay. The Masseria is beautiful, the rooms are simple, elegant and clean. The service is very attentive and the breakfast is perfect. This time I did not have lunch or dinner as I wanted to try restaurants in the towns nearby however I remember having some delicious orecchiette. I had a massage in my room as we had very windy afternoon and it was just perfect. This masseria is a great spot that can be enjoyed with family, friends or on a romantic weekend. Cherry on the top, they have a great Gin selection for those who enjoy a Gin&Tonic!"
"This year we spent our summer holiday in Puglia in really nice place - Masseria San Francesco. We were absolutely satisfied ! Masseria is very clean and very well maintain. Staff is professional and very friendly, all our requests was accomplished. Position of masseria is appropriate, close to the sea and close to lot of nice places (Alberobello, Ostuni, Locorotondo etc.) I cannot find any defaults of this amazing accommodation, I can only advise it. Thank you for a nice holiday !"

Contrada Tortorella Snc - Monopoli, Monopoli, Apulia, Italy
"We spent 4 nights at the masseria and it’s one of the most beautiful places we stayed in (and we are picky) . First the location is very convenient, 20/25mn from all the villages and sights. The Masseria is located in a very quiet and peaceful area, amongst olive trees and wheat fields. As soon as you arrive you feel the serenity of the place. It has its own veggie garden (guests are welcome to pick and eat ) and vineyard. The swimming pool is big with a wonderful view and from there you can watch the sunset while drinking a cocktail. One of the great advantages is that you can have dinner there. The food is delicious (4 course meal) and showcases their own fruits & vegetables. Most of the rooms are in trulli , décoration is elegant, feels luxurious and comfortable ; we stayed in one of the suites and loved it. Finally, service is excellent, everybody was so nice, we met the owner who was making the effort of talking to all his guests, which we really appreciated. Shame we did not stay longer."
"We stayed at Nina’s for two nights with our two year old son. Whilst it’s generally more a couples place, we felt at home and the staff were very helpful and attentive. Our son loved walking and exploring. The grounds are beautiful and relaxing. The pool area is fantastic and of course, the star of the show are the beautifully restored Trulli houses. Luxury feel yet so different. The food is also excellent and enjoyed all two dinners from locally grown produce including from their very own garden patch. Highly recommend this hotel... a real gem! "
"Beautiful surroundings and buildings/room. Wonderful staff. Stunning food and wine. Great location and secure on site parking. Nothing is too much of a hassle for the kind and chatty staff and we would highly highly recommend the cooking class and private dining experience. Stayed here for 3 nights for our honeymoon and were treated like royalty. Fresh produce grown in the gardens, excellent selection of local wines. Couldn't recommend highly enough, honestly one of the best holiday experiences I've ever had. "

Loc. Pezze Di Greco, Fasano, Apulia, Italy
"The Masseria Salamina is a 17th-century castle set among olive groves and farmland. It offers a pool, a traditional restaurant, and even homemade olive-oil soap in guests’ spacious, air-conditioned rooms. Accommodation at the Salamina is located in the manor house or the converted stables. Some rooms feature rustic tiled floors, antique furniture and marble-mosaic bathrooms. In addition to a continental breakfast buffet, the Salamina Masseria’s restaurant serves Puglia cuisine made with ingredients from its garden. Oil and wine-tasting sessions can also be organised. Fasano Station is 5 km from the Salamina Agriturismo. Torre Canne beach is a 5-minute drive from the property. The Salamina Agriturismo’s manor house offers a relaxing terrace with views of palm trees and the Adriatic Sea. Free Wi-Fi is also available at reception."

"We stayed at the Bianco Riccion Suite Hotel at the beginning of September. The Front Office Manager, Alessandro and all of his staff were absolutely delightful, so helpful and friendly, nothing was too much trouble. Alessandro recommended and booked beautiful restaurants for us and took the trouble to see if we had enjoyed our evening the next day. I cannot recommend this hotel enough. The rooms were absolutely beautiful; our room had a huge balcony that was overlooking the pool and had a sea view. The breakfast, served by Charles, had an extremely good selection of fruit, yogurts, pastries and made to order, omelettes, scrambled eggs etc, again, nothing was too much trouble. If you are looking to stay in a hotel and be be completely pampered, this is the place to stay.!"
"We were so happy that we chose this hotel as our hub for three nights to travel to different towns in Puglia. The hotel is brand new, clean, comfortable beds and the manager and owner were above and beyond accommodating and even upgraded us to a king size suite because it became available. The hotel has parking and you can go to the beaches during the day and then explore Ostuni, Alberobello, Matera, and Polignano a Mare. Amazing area to vacation in! Thank you Alessandro and staff for memories we won’t forget!"
"Stilish hotel, newly redecorated with a lot of taste. Clean, welcoming, comfortable. Excellent service and customer attention. Alessandro, the hotel director is kind, efficient and super professional and Donato, the owner, welcomes you as a member of his family. Kids and family friendly. The hotel is very close to the beach, to nice bars and restaurants. A great swimming pool to chill out and a stunning terrace where a great breakfast is served. A truly amazing experience. Highly recommended. "

Località Pezze di Greco, c.da Bicocca, Pezze di Greco, Apulia, Italy
"Booked this magnificent Masseria Montenapoleone after seeing it on Gino D'Acampo's tour down the Adriatic Coast. We brought our sat nav from the UK and this was essential to enable us to safely negotiate away from Bari or Brindisi Airports and find the Masseria. On arrival you are met by very imposing gates which swing open to reveal a long driveway through Olive Trees down to the Masseria reception. The welcome here far exceeds expectations especially when the lovely Mariangela smiles at you for the first time. After checking in we were given a complete tour of the Masseria by her before being taken to our room Rifugio in it's own private garden not far from the restaurant and salt water swimming pool. With temperatures approaching 30 c at the beginning of September it takes a while to adjust and the airconditionng of our room was very welcome. As the temperatures drop to around 20 c overnight you can leave your windows open at night since they have mosquito screens attached permanently. Local produce is used to decorate the Masseria with huge Prickly Pear Cactus leaves with fruit attached are hanging on the walls and in the restaurant large bunches of a special red tomato are hanging from the beams. Some of the produce is available to buy in reception especially the Olive Oil in carefully packaged tins suitable for your suitcase. There is plenty of shade around the restaurant where you can have a glass of Prosecco before indulging in a new dish every night from the fantastic menu. The Coppacollo with Mascarpone and a Fig Syrup Dressing is wonderful as is the Orrechietti with Prawns and a Beetroot Cream. There is a barbecue almost every night and the steaks are magnificent. A different menu is available for a light lunch. Wines are excellent otherwise they wouldn't be on the list and you must try Prima Pazzi a Primitivo Red made at the Masseria. The staff are all wonderful especially Ilaria, Laurenza and Vicenzo and nothing is too much trouble. I am so sorry that I cannot remember all of their names. Even Pina the beautiful restaurant cat will come and keep you company while you eat and surprise surprise she loves a bit of fillet steak. Breakfast is a real treat and I am surprised that I only put on 5 pounds in 14 days in Italy. Visiting the surrounding area of Alberobello (trulli houses), Cisternino (barbecueing butchers) and Ostuni the white city is easy from here by car and the Masseria is a great location for a wedding. We loved being at Masseria Montenapoleone and we are grateful to Giuliano for welcoming us into his home and lavishing such generous hospitality upon us."
"We recently enjoyed four nights at Masseria Montenapoleone. Everything is very spread out in this most beautiful and rural of settings, surrounded by wonderful olive and almond trees. This place is a great centre for exploring the wider area on the coast as well as the lovely villages further inland. None are particularly far away. Although our satnav struggled to find the place, but our troubles were soon forgotten on arrival at the imposing gates and the great welcome and tour of the facilities which followed. Our rooms were peacefully situated, with outside private space for relaxation and comfortably arranged inside. Breakfast was a stone's throw away and offered an excellent choice of continental and cooked eggs either inside or outside. The restaurant, located near the spectacular pool, offered good choices at reasonable prices and very friendly service. We were persuaded to take the barbecued steaks, which, although quite expensive, were a revelation in excellent quality meet and heartily recommended at least once. Although we had planned to small other restaurants in the area, so good was the food here that we dined every night at the hotel."
"Lovely hotel with spacious rooms, all rooms are different with unique with eclectic look, my room have a small inner courtyard with a Tree swing and shower. Hotel is in the heart of a working farm of olive groves, almond trees along with grapes, they product there own wine (very tasty). Food is good, service attentive and team very helpful. Relax by the pool, wonder around the estate, leisurely lunch in the restaurant or a short drive from the coast or scenic villages... "
