12 place Crillon, Avignon, Provence-Alpes-Cote d'Azur, France
"Awesome antique hotel, located in the old town gate, very close to the main attractions and business districts, valet parking, very warm and welcoming service. The hotel is very charming, and the afternoon tea in the courtyard is very comfortable. It can be said to be the first choice for visiting Avignon."
"Everything is perfect! As long as I return to Avignon, I will make a reservation again! The friendly staff, especially the waiter who helped to carry luggage, came out to meet us and always smiled. There are also staff at the counter who can communicate in Chinese, which is a very recommended restaurant."
"This hotel is definitely a good choice for those who want to experience European retro accommodation and visit the old city at the same time. The front desk has a fantastic service. Everything in the room is spotless, even no scale can be found in the kettle. It's full score in details."

"The hotel room is small but the style is warm and reasonable. The whole building style is elegant and gorgeous, but the restaurant is a bit weird. It seems that some are not in the state. It is about to change the rhythm of the boss."
"This price, this location, is a very good hotel, cost-effective, lobby environment, service attitude, and supporting facilities, are good."

16 Boulevard Victor Hugo, Saint-Remy-de-Provence, Provence-Alpes-Cote d'Azur, France
"This hotel was everything we dreamed about and more for staying in Provence for the first time. From the moment you park your car, it's service, service, service. They rushed our bags, parked out car, and you walk in to a stunning and lush greenery filled dual staircase the fills the air was a beautiful, floral smell. After a smooth check-in we were brought to our exceptional room - WOW. Spacious, modern and beautiful. Fantastic linens, big room, huge closet, nice view of town, and the bathroom - OMG. Dyson dryer, big modern tub, rain shower - just LUXURY at every inch of it. Fantastic offering for the value. The outdoor area looked stunning and pool - wish we'd come when it was warmer. I did sit outside at one point under a sycamore tree and enjoy the afternoon. It's just beautiful. Location - perfection! Walking distance to all the sites. Also, after seeing Avignon, Arles, Baux THIS is the place to stay. Each of those locations are fun to visit but St. Remy is the all star. It has cute shops, spectacular restaurants and is conveniently located to all the vineyards and sites. The bar has some of the best cocktails we had all trip - Get the French 75, phenomenal!"
"We just spent 3 nights at Le St Remy (and I wish we had stayed longer). You cannot beat the location on the main road with parking available in the courtyard. Our room (in the main building) overlooking the inner courtyard was very large and well designed with high quality finishes and linens/bedding. The heated pool was an extra bonus and a great way to finish a hot day after the walk to Glanum and the Van Gogh trail. Breakfast was just okay and if included in your room price then go for it, but not worth 23 Euros/person. I would pass and visit any one of the many places outside the front door for a coffee and croissant. The faucets in the shower and sink are very confusing and we never quite figured them out (hot? cold? on? off) even after three days. The inventor of those fixtures and the designer who recommended them should be punished ;-). Book it and enjoy!"
"For a hotel in town in a beautiful part of Provence, it doesn't get much better! Everything about this hotel was superb! The patio and outdoor dining areas were serene and beautifully landscaped. Rooms are in a new building, of good size, nicely decorated with a large, up to date and well designed bathrooms. Of exceptional note was the staff, friendly, helpful and professional. Good value for a hotel of this quality in such a lovely place."

Chemin Canto Cigalo, Saint-Remy-de-Provence, Provence-Alpes-Cote d'Azur, France
"This is the perfect inn and spa. They are happy to do anything for you. On our way in by car, we were routed (by Google Maps) over a street that was closed for repair. We tried rerouting, but wound up frustrated and finally called the inn. Not only were they helpful but actually stayed on the phone as they directed me to turn and look for signs. Perfect. They shuttled us the 1/2 mile to town when we did not want to walk in the dark. They brought extra pillows, dinner and constant service to the room. Beautiful grounds, pool, patios, terraces. Spring for a room with a terrace - so lovely. 5 star everything. "
"We had a most wonderful vacation at this hotel. All the staff were extremely helpful, friendly and professional. All meals were outstanding and beautifully presented and eating outside when the weather permitted added to the overall enjoyment of the experience. The outside pool area is very welcoming and well looked after. This hotel is ideally placed for exploring St Remy and is a wonderful and relaxing place to return to after exploring the town and surrounding area. We look forward to returning!"
"The hotel is nicely appointed with a very friendly and helpful staff. Rooms are very nice but not large. Parking is easy and it is a pleasant 10 minute walk to St Remy. Access to Avignon, Les Baux-de-Provence and other areas of interest is easy. The restaurant is excellent. All in all, a perfect headquarters to explore Provence."

Route De Tarascon, Saint-Remy-de-Provence, Provence-Alpes-Cote d'Azur, France
"Chateau de Roussan is basically the french dream one has always in mind. I will always remember when we drove through the beautiful trees of the entrance to find the magnificent house. The place is incredible, a gem. The mansion is inside really well preserved, and offers rooms beautifully decorated to the guests, special mention to the library and the beautiful shelves with antique fans and objects, is really like living in a museum. The staff, reception and breakfast, were lovely and helpful but leaving you alone to enjoy the place, which I really appreciated, you almost feel like you are really living there. Also a special mention to the room, specially made for people with walking difficulties, which was heavenly for me as I was using crutches at the moment. The bathroom was unbelievable and the toiletries offered, olive oil based made in Provence, were so good I considered to buy more. The gardens are also a dream including a orangerie, a river and flowers. As you can see, I can't recommend this place enough, was really hard to leave. Congratulations to the staff and the owners, I wouldn't improve a single thing."
"Gorgeous property. Very large rooms with old fashioned decor. Clean and renovated bathrooms. But why be in your room when the grounds are so beautiful? Very quiet, Seems like you are the only guests. Several areas to relax and explore outdoors including a greenhouse and koi pond. Huge maple (?) trees all over the property including a row of them on both side of the long driveway. Only ate in the restaurant once. Very limited menu and nothing special. Much better to just get some wine and cheese from the town and just sit outdoors and dine. The only suggestion I have would be to arrive in the daytime. Our rental car's navigation system spoke French - we do not. The chateau is hard to find in the dark. Staff is professional and pleasant. Very happy we chose to stay in St. Remy vs. Arles. It is much smaller, cleaner and less crowded."
"A beautiful family castle in Provence with amazing old rooms, perfect to travel with family or couple. There was not a swimming pool but a charming "bassin" wich was perfect for refreshing. The gardens are amazing and the greenhouse too. We went to the restaurant for 1 night with jazz music and it was perfect. Bad point : the breakfast can be very long and slow... as there is not enough staff but the taste was great."

44 Route de Noves, Saint-Remy-de-Provence, Provence-Alpes-Cote d'Azur, France
"We stayed at the hotel for 3 nights. It is located near a very wet swampy forested area. The hedges were very overgrown as were the trees in the parking lot - which looked unkept, and attracted bugs. While we were excited to be offered the villa upon arrival - it turned out to be our worst experience of our 2 week trip. The last room by the forested area meant a handful of crickets in the room hiding in the corners. Dust webs hung from the ceiling, and 2 spider webs in the bathroom. Salamanders covered our front door one evening upon our return after dinner. and the sound of bull frogs croaking kept us up at night. We were moved after complaining to an inside room, which also had dust webs hanging. and the sheets had not been changed from the previous night as I found my hair and boyfriends chest hair still on the sheets, after pulling the sheets down to get into bed.. Breakfast was served in a dark room with little light. Returning at night after dinner the parking area was very dark with no lighting until you hit the walkway. The villa was so hot since it was 72 during the time we were there,. The girl at the front desk said the heat had been turned on and could not be adjusted. The window could not be open due to the forested area of bugs and flies. She provided a plug in bug repellent for our room. Who wants a bug repellent filling the stifling air. After complaining of the standards of cleanliness on our departure the girl at the front insisted the linens were changed - even though she was absent for 2 days. How could she know if the room was cleaned.? Why not just apologize. Sadly there was no apology and yes I became upset. A male staffer from the kitchen asked me to leave and stated you are not welcome here. Mas Valentine pretty on the outside - our WORST and RUDEST experience in our 2 week travel. We are 2 professionals who give Mas Valentine 2 thumbs down."
"I fell in love with this hotel the minute I arrived. Beautiful XVIII house surrounded by gardens. Lovely decoration, very elegant yet rustic and traditional. Both common areas and bedrooms were so beautiful, very clean and comfortable. Quiet, surrounded by nature, a good sleep guaranteed. Big pool with nice lunge beds. Really nice breakfast with plenty of choice. And very close to the beautiful village of Saint-Remy. Special mention to the staff who were so polite, friendly, smiley and helpful! It was a pleasure to visit your hotel; we felt very welcome from the first minute."
"As was true last year, facilities are beautiful, as was our Deluxe Suite "Caterina." Well over 400 SF (40 SM), the room was clean and well maintained. Per management, room decor will be upgraded within next few months. Breakfast was superb. Most importantly, staff could not have been more friendly and helpful. "

"The good Really nice hotel. Great bedroom. Clean and tidy. Towels changed morning and evening. Staff wonderful and friendly. Great buffet breakfast with huge choice and really helpful staff. Pool area very nice but very cold pool. Great seating area loads of shade. Lovely gardens. You can use the spa at sister hotel. Great central location. Excellent shower. The bad Very noisy when they have big groups eating below our room 220 outside. Smell of food being cooked when you sit on balcony. Dreadful smell of cigarette smoke from below. Should have designated smoking area away from bedrooms. Restaurant Service terrible (not waiting staffs fault) Clearly the chef is a pre Madonna and “he” runs the show. Booked for 7.30. Arrived at 7.15 for a drink. At 7.30 asked for menus and can we go to table. Not yet. 7.50 can we go to table not yet and get menu. 8.05 got up and went to table as did another couple who had the same treatment. At about 8.15 after waiting another two couples (not together) came in. We then got the menus and able to order our wine. It was obvious the chef was trying to feed everyone at around the same time with the limited menu. That’s why waited for the post 8pm diners. The waitress we had whilst really nice spoke literally no English. Food very mediocre. Need to improve as people have lots of good alternative choices. Irritating Spa at sister hotel. Supposed to be available to all guests and with a shuttle to take you. Day before we left we asked to arrange the shuttle to be told we could not use the spa today as they were too busy. Well it does not say that in the brochure, the hotel book or in the advertising. Disappointing. Bar shut for season !!! Pity about the negatives but overall we enjoyed our stay. "
"We were amazed by the incredible gardens and open view of the Alpilles tucked away behind this hotel just moments from the hustle and bustle of St Remy. The hotel itself is nice, rooms are sparsely decorated in a modernish style. I personally am not a massive fan of the decor in the hotel which feels a bit passé but rooms are are comfortable and clean. Floors are tiled - stone or wood would have been more inviting and aesthetically pleasing. Beds have metal feet so feel a bit cheap but have good comfy mattresses and lovely white linen. Bathrooms are fully equipped and decorated in a similar “modernish” style. Good breakfast either in dining room or bedroom/balcony . Room had lovely balcony but wooden shutters in need of a bit of tlc. What is fabulous and makes this worthwhile is the incredible 2 hectare private park, terraces and swimming pool with the most amazing uninterrupted views of the Alpilles right in the heart of St Remy. The perfect place to relax and unwind. The restaurant offers high quality French food and wine on the terrace behind the hotel. We had a very enjoyable meal - amuses- bouches followed by delicious fresh prawns accompanied by somewhat bland roast avocado (needed some citrus or a dressing to give contrast) and the most mouth meltingly tender piece of beef- unforgettable! Pudding unmemorable. Weird cocktail accompanied the tasting menu, wine that accompanied the tasting menu was very good but a bit stingy and there was a lack of choice for digestifs but staff were friendly and accommodating and we enjoyed the meal."
"We visited Saint Remy and stayed in Hotel de l'Image for the first time in July. Oh my what a find, we had the benefit of the beautiful gardens and pool on one side of the hotel to enjoy the lovely sunshine and then stepped in the other direction straight into the village centre. A perfect hotel location with everything, including parking! The village also had plenty of restaurants & bars full of atmosphere and an array of shops. The staff at the hotel were so attentive and welcoming. Our room was immaculate and clean equipped with everything we needed - it is always good to see white sheets and towels that look as good as new. The hotel staff also managed to make us feel safe and secure with the Covid situation whilst not impacting on our holiday - clearly a lot of effort has gone on in the background. I knew from the moment we left that we would be coming back and are already planning dates for 2021. This is a real gem of a hotel!"

"We, as many, follow Rick Steve’s recommendations when traveling Europe and this was no exception. All the reviews you will read, in my opinion, are accurate. But take this advice: not all rooms are created equal. If you are one of the unfortunate, as were we, and not placed in the main building, you might be disappointed. Our room was basically attic space turned into sleeping quarters for the unsuspecting tourist. I am 5 feet 4 inches tall and could not stand erect in our room. To make matters worse, the ceiling had a beam which my husband and I both hit our heads on even with our mental forewarnings. The a/c unit produced a sound similar to living through a hurricane and both the TV and hand-held shower stopped working. Despite our room being a bitter disappointment, we did not complain as the staff, grounds, meals, and location are wonderful. So much more positive than negative. However, If you are given the key to the room named, Eygaliers (all rooms have names and not numbers) do not accept it...just trust me. If I had any of the rooms shown on their website or trip advisor I know my experience would have been much more pleasant. It’s truly is a hidden gem. It’s simply unfortunate that someone convinced the owners to turn every possible square foot into money making space."
"We had a wonderful stay at this lovely hotel nestled just outside Saint Rémy - a mere 8 minute walk to city center along Van Gogh boulevard. The rooms are beautifully appointed and we were welcomed with open arms. Every morning we enjoyed a delicious buffet breakfast that skimped on nothing and in such a pretty outdoor setting. The gardens were beautifully maintained. One day we needed a cab and didn’t realize we had to reserve the day before. The house manager tried to secure a cab for us anyway. When she couldn’t she had someone on her staff drive us to our destination. What can I say? When you’re traveling, this special attention saves your life. "
"Absolutely lovely hotel setting with gardens and pool located just a few minutes from the city center. Our family and I enjoyed the most romantic dinner in the gardens and relaxed poolside the next morning before continuing with our bike trip through Provence. The dinner was fabulous and the owners courteous and friendly."

"The room is very large and very comfortable... also very clean service. Parking is free. Absolutely enough to use the terrace. Very comfortable. The hotel is only 10 minutes away from Avignon. It is convenient for the first time because it is not a self-driving Avignon hotel. The price is more than twice that of this house. The room is not so big."
"From the black shop of the Foden Gorge Hotel, come to this garden-style hotel, the price is immediately improved. The rooms are spacious, clean and tidy, beautiful courtyard, nice pool, courteous waiter, worth staying."
"Hotel is good, the environment is good, this hot spring is different from the domestic one."
