"We absolutely loved our stay at HARBR. The boutique hotel was just the right amount of trendy for us. Great decor and service. We rented one of the "apartments" that had a large living space with kitchenette and w/c on one floor with stairs heading up to a "loft" area where the bed and main bathroom was located. We had great views out toward the park near the lake. The hotel was a bit further out from the old city center than we expected, but that wasn't the hotel's fault, just ours as it was our first visit to Konstanz. It was a 15 minute walk, and a lovely walk at that. There was also a bus line right outside the hotel we could have used for going further distances. Happy that the hotel offered parking (NOT included in the lodging price) with in and out privilages as we had driven our own car to the hotel, and used it to get to some of the sights a bit further away (Mainau Island, Rhinefalls). The morning breakfast buffet was extensive, and to assure proper distancing you had to sign up for set time. For us that was perfect as we could change the time each day of our stay dependent on our other activities. We would happily stay at this hotel again."
"I recently stayed at HARBR for four nights in pretty Konstanz. The staff were wonderful, the property location convenient, and best of all, I had obtained a really reasonable price for the lovely two level suite. The size of the space was appealing, as well as the style and decor, in particular the look and customizable features of the lighting. The bed was very comfortable, and the linens were of good quality. I stay at anywhere from three to five star properties, and, having stayed at 45 total last year alone, I know what to reasonably and realistically expect of various properties according to the star system. One thing that impressed me about this suite was the automatic blinds (probably of necessity, as the windows are floor to ceiling), but this is a fancy feature that I’d previously only seen at a 400 a night five star in Switzerland (I was impressed then, too). I would highly recommend this cute hotel. They also give a discount on longer stays, such as two weeks."
"The location was great right next to the old town but on the north bank so quieter and easier driving and parking. The staff were helpful and polite and the design was modern and fun with a nautical theme. There was a great breakfast and parking underground at the hotel was easy. The rooms were quite small for the money and had some glaring issues. There were no blinds or net curtains, only blackouts, so you had no privacy or total blackout. Didn’t feel comfortable leaving the bathroom naked for all the street to see. The “wardrobe” was a sheet of canvas and a pipe with tiny shelves. No storage space and only 4 coat hangers! There was no fridge to keep anything cool and there was no phone in the room to call reception, so you literally had to go down and see them. We needed an iron and ironing board and were told there was only 1 in the hotel. This had been highlighted a few times by other TA reviewers and management responded months ago that more had been ordered, well as of this week, there still none. It is a nice hotel but these basic issues were annoying when you’re paying €175 per night."
