"Stopped here only one night on my way to the ferry from Sassnitz. The hotel is a tad outdated, but the rooms are large with a huge desk and plenty of plug sockets. I got charged an early check-in without me realising as I tipped up at 13:30 having got off the train at the station just round the corner. I was not told re this and only realised when I checked the bill later! The staff were a bit brusque but maybe English wasn’t their preferred language. They had an unusual system with the duvet, which was a single duvet on a double bed! Think about it how do you keep that on overnight? I was about to mention it on check out until a German customer took the receptionists attention, so I gave up, for one night, not worth the bother. That said I had a very nice salmon dinner, but I’ve never seen salmon a dirty grey colour before! Service was adequate considering they had a large party of cyclists in their function room. The waiting staff were very good and friendly. The breakfast was pretty good and the dining room was on the third floor affording views over the lakes."
"Good hotel for overnight in Stralsund with very helpful and sympathetic personnel. Spacious standard room, shower cabin and a good bed more than enough for curious travellers. As a pleasant surprise we had free regional tickets from the hotel with the booking. It takes about 15 min of pleasant walk to the city center. "
"We stopped here for one night and enjoyed it. Sebastian on reception/Bar was a real character, funny and knowledgable about the local area. Room was nice, clean and had a great shower. Perfect location to explore the Altstadt, easy walk/cycle to local bars and attractions. The harbour is stunning!"
