We had not planned to stay at this hotel but after staying at another Heritage Hotel it was top on our list when we found that our return flight home was canceled. I booked online very early since the reservation center was not open at that hour in the morning. (5 am) I had remembered seeing the hotel previewed on the heritage channel during our stay at The Inn and Spa at Loretto earlier that week. Once we obtained our rental car and had some coffee we contacted the hotel and asked if we could drop off our luggage since there were a lot of alerts about car break ins at a lot of tourist locations. We were told that we could absolutely do that and to come right over. The valet attendant James took care of our luggage quickly and efficiently. We returned to the hotel around 2 pm to see if we would be able to check in early. Sarah at the desk was very kind and welcoming while briefly listening to our plight. She got us checked in early with swiftness and efficiency. The room was beautiful and extremely comfortable with every convenience we would need. Everyone was so kind, helpful, and welcoming even the hotel security Michelle who brushed the snow off our rental. Absolutely loved this hotel and can't wait to go back.

This is a lovely hotel - beautiful rooms and nice amenities, great rooftop bar/restaurant for viewing sunsets, and handy location to Old Town shops and restaurants. Staff is wonderful and very helpful. However...they are some communication disconnects if you're used to having food and libations available early morning or other less mainstream times like mid-afternoon on a Sunday. There is no paper guest guide in your room - you'll be directed to the hotel website that has some navigation issues. Like, where is the room service menu? Only if you know where to find the PDF (!) on one of the restaurants' pages, it's the only way you'll get breakfast (beyond coffee and a pre-wrapped pastry) in the hotel. Same with Sunday afternoons - get back to your hotel after 1 p.m. on Sunday - you're out of luck for anything to take to the pool until after 4. The company that owns the hotel also owns the Sawmill Market across the street and that is the default food service for the hotel. BUT they open at 8 a.m. (so if you're going on that e-bike tour at 8:30, you're rushing for food) and on a weekend afternoon you'll find yourself waiting in lines and scouting seats. So not really ideal.

Reviews From Real Travelers
I really enjoyed my stay at this property, and was pleasantly surprised by the comfortable accommodations and amenities. It was convenient to check in via the Hilton Honors app and use the digital key system to access the hotel and room. The King suite was surprisingly spacious, with the bedroom separated from the living room/kitchenette. Everything was clean and well-maintained. The kitchenette was stocked with coffee maker, microwave, fridge/freezer, a few place settings, some utensils, and two cooking pots. The living room sofa was comfortable. Bed and pillows were also comfy. HVAC system worked well. There were enough outlets and some USB charging plugs. My only room complaint was low water pressure in the shower (possibly a water-saving feature). The hotel was fairly quiet. My room was on the side of the property facing Cutler Ave, and there was no traffic noise. Just occasional noise from other guests. The lobby and breakfast area were inviting. Coffee was always available in the lobby, which was a nice touch. The complimentary breakfast had a wide array of items, and even some local favorites like green chile stew and tamales. The hotel is in a fairly quiet area that felt safer than other parts of town. There were warnings about not leaving valuables in cars, but no overt problems. The hotel is conveniently located near a large shopping center and many restaurants. There is a Trader Joe’s within close walking distance. There is even a cat café close by. Most Albuquerque attractions and the airport were a 10-15 minute drive. Sandia Park is about 30 minutes.

A work event recently brought me to Albuquerque where I stayed at the Homewood Suites Uptown. The hotel is situated in a very convenient spot with ample restaurants (chains and local menus) nearby. The rooms are very well equipped with kitchenettes, dining areas, a living room and separate bedroom. My room also had a great view of the Sandia Mountains, which was an added plus each morning/evening. In addition to the generous size of the rooms, they're also very comfortable - especially if you're like me and prefer to sleep cold - you won't have to worry about hacking the HVAC controls to turn the room down to your preferred temperature: you can make it as cold or as hot as you like. Lastly, you also don't have to worry about noise. The hotel appeared to be at or near full capacity (based on the parking lot) and the rooms were silent. Besides the rooms, the hotel staff and General Manager are very welcoming, the breakfast is great and the never ending coffee in the lobby was a great touch. I'm not sure what they brew, but it was really, really good. Would highly recommend this to business travelers that are looking for a cozy and welcoming extended stay hotel.

Reviews From Real Travelers
First the good: everyone was super helpful and accommodating, especially the ladies at breakfast. The made to order omelettes and pancakes were really good and the lady making them was so friendly and eager to please. The happy hour was also nice and the bar tender seemed to be a really good guy and was very efficient. The main desk staff were pleasant as well, no problems there. Here’s why I am giving 3 stars: The shower and shower curtain were not clean looking. The toilet bowl was the same way. I think it maybe just needs updated but it still left me with a gungy feel. Actually the whole Bathroom in general felt gross. Same with carpet. But here is the main reason why I would never come back: the water in the pool was so disgusting that I can’t even. There was no smell of chlorine or chemicals and the water was green and cloudy. Like real cloudy. So I thought it must be a saltwater pool so I swam but was still grossed out. The next day I asked the front desk if it was a saltwater pool which would explain the cloudiness and she said no it was chlorine. Girl, that pool hadn’t seen chlorine since like 1985. Ughhhhhhhh. So grossed out to be swimming in essentially dirty bath water. It was a busy pool. really hope the front desk clerk was wrong and if I find out it was a saltwater pool I will amend my review. But if this is correct, people clean up your pool!!!! So if you stay here, expect a great breakfast but stay out of the pool and don’t expect it to be a shiny and updated room because it is not. Or at least our room wasn’t. Yuck.

We have stayed at this hotel several times as it is very close to UNM hospital. It is always very clean, beautiful rooms, friendly staff, great food. The use of the Hilton app is wonderful, no check in required and your phone is the key. Will stay here again!

The hotel was great. The upscale was good. The second night I was there I tried to get them to make a to go order 45 minutes before the restaurant closed (embers). I was told that the kitchen was too busy for orders and they were not able to accommodate me. This was new for me, A kitchen 45 minutes from closing too busy to take an order. Oh well I suppose during covid times you can't take care of everyone.

It’s not the case that the hotel is managed by Marriott, which has the usual style of Marriott. The hotel only opened this year, everything is new and comfortable. Compared with the nightmare of last night, today is in the sky!
