"On arriving at Malaga airport we took the train from the Airport which was very straight forward, you can walk to the station within a few minutes and purchase tickets from the ticket machine quite easily at a cost 2.50 euros each. Torremolinos is only a few stations stops away so it's only about a 10 minute journey, with the station being under the main square with stairs leading up onto the square then it’s about a 10 minute walk to Aguamarina which is all downhill. On arrival it was late evening the lobby was light and airy and the gentleman at reception was very friendly and checked us in quickly. Our allocated Room was 321, there are 2 lifts servicing all levels although these are quite small and only hold about 4 or 5 people so you could have a bit of a wait in the busy months. On entering our room we were immediately impressed by the modern styling and high standard of fittings, the room had a small balcony with 2 chair and a small table that overlooked the pool area and the beach, as the hotel is set back one street from the promenade. There was a large super king size bed that was comfortable, a sofa, coffee table, also a large TV but only a few English channels and mostly the news. A kettle was also supplied and a small fridge (would hold 2 x 2lts bottles or 10 cans. The air condition was very good and although we didn't need it does also provide heat to the suite if required. The bathroom was modern and had a shower over the bath with plenty hot water, large sink / vanity table with complimentary shower gel and shampoo there was also a hair drier (but only 1200w, which according to my wife is not powerful enough if you have long hair!) The room was serviced every day and new towels etc provided as required and kept very clean The main pool area was well kept with sun loungers and parasols and never had any issue getting one, probably due to it being very late in the season but might be in the high season. The pool bar open at about 11ish. The main pool was large with gradual steps into it and there was also a kids pool, but the water was freezing so never ventured in! We spent most of our time on the roof terrace which was great especially as it was late season, so with the sun being lower in the sky the main pool area lost all the sun at about 3pm, but the roof top had sun until about 5pm. There is a Jacuzzi pool on the roof terrace which is also cold but I did go in and it's not that bad after the initial shock and was refreshing to cool down as temperatures did reach mid 20's on some days, the only downfall being up high is that if it is breezy it can get cold as there is no shelter, but maybe ok in the Summer month when its really hot and be glad of a breeze. We were on bed and breakfast only but can say that the choice was good, Bacon, sausage, eggs etc., made to order omelettes, fresh crepes, bakery selection and continental meat, cheese, yogurt etc, so will more or less will cater for almost all tastes including Gluten fre"
"I returned for my second visit this year in October, this hotel is just ideal for a long weekend break. The fact it is 10 minutes from the airport and just a few minutes walk from the beach shops train station is just great. The hotel is perfectly clean, staff are pleasant they aren’t over the top they just let you get on with your holiday but are helpful and friendly when you are at the bar/restaurant/reception. The breakfast we had as part of our booking was lovely. Drinks were reasonably priced at the bar, I haven’t eaten anything from the lunch or evening menu but always looked lovely. The rooms are a lovely size with the most amazing showers. Can’t fault the hotel for the price you pay the location is perfect and it’s very clean . I will be returning next year and I can’t wait."
"I stayed here the last week of october 2019 and am really happy for choosing this hotel. It's a quite hotel, in walking distance to the beach, and offers a hot inside pool with sauna. Perfect to relax, have a good time and enjoy your stay. Food tastes great and on the buffet you find everything you would want. The staff helps you when ever you have a question"

"A hotel that annoys you from arrival. Lots of parking spaces in front of the hotel blocked off and not even somewhere to pull in whilst you unload cases without causing a blockage. When questioned about this on reception apparently all the spaces are for emergencies. With such a large emergency expectancy perhaps I should stay awake. They obviously expect the place to burn down. I hope reception are quick with all the little individual locks on the parking blocks when the building is on fire! There is a car park underneath but ‘we don’t own it’ and it’s 20 euros a day. The rooms have a safe but that’s 3 euros a day. Really! How many 3 euros do they get to justify this level of small minded attitude and annoyance. They sell half board but you can’t swap lunch for dinner like you can in most hotels because lunch is in a different restaurant and ‘we don’t own it’. I wonder if they own the rooms! Took a premium room with guaranteed sea view. The sea view is from the seat on the balcony only. From the room you look at another apartment block and the design is so clever that the structural pillar blocks out the sea. Now the shower. Nicely designed and poorly executed. Looks nice but the water is dangerous. You get the temperature set just right and then it’s freezing and then is boiling and it just keeps changing. I don’t think the cleaning is nearly adequate in these days of corona virus. In the dining room they seem to walk around multiple tables with the same cloth without any disinfectant spray being used and doing far from a good job only cleaning the visibly dirty parts of the table. We saw a waiter cough into his hands and then without going to wash he put napkins out on all the tables. In the room the plastic beaker in the bathroom had an internal ring from whatever was in the glass previously. In the rooms the balconies have a very bright light which you can’t switch off. The bathroom has the brightest light in the world and frosted glass windows so you can’t go to the toilet at night without coming back wide awake and having woken up any other occupant of the room. The food in the restaurant is ok. It’s not great or bad but there is much better quality in restaurants along the seafront which aren’t expensive so the half board option really only works if you want to stay in the hotel and not be bothered to go for a walk along the seafront to find somewhere. If you see a good deal then this hotel is on the seafront and the beach is nice and breakfast ok. It’s modern and for the most part it’s just ok but it’s not great and in the absence of a good deal not worth it. "
"Stayed here for four nights HB 26th to 30th July 2020 spotlessly clean hotel we came just after the uk,had banned non essential trips to Spain. We was a bit concerned but felt safer here then in the uk. as everyone ,everywhere wore mask, you had to sanitise your hand before and after entering the restaurant. and hand sanitisers were dotted around everywhere! The room was average size very modern with good and extremely quiet air conditioning which kept the room cool large bathroom with modern rain shower and regular shower the beds were the best comfortable bed I think I have ever slept on with lovely thick full pillows. The food was good with lots of variety both at breakfast and dinner. Lots of outdoor seating and sun beds the pool is quite large my only one negative thing I would say is the pool goes from 1.4 metres to 2.6 no in between and the deeper being 65% of the pool so a lot of people in the small area in the 1.4 metre bit congregate! No many people in the deeper ends ! Other then that it is in great location plenty of bars restaurants just outside and great beach opposite!"
"Would definitely be picking Occidental as first choice if I am going back to Fuengirola. Was really impressed with the place, the whole hotel is done out lovely rooms, bar/lounges, pool area all great. Staff are very helpful throughout and breakfast choice is terrific and kept very clean and tidy. Walk out the back of the hotel at the pool area and the beach is less than 100 yards away, turn left and there is a couple of miles of flat promenade with all the bars, restaurants and shops you would want. If you cut up one of the streets in to the town there area a couple of nice squares and again numerous bars and restaurants."

"The hotel is located on the Costa del Sol. It is in a pure white European style with excellent facilities and friendly staff. It is a great experience to have a walk or jogging in the morning on the shore. It should be a first class hotel in Malaga."
"The hotel is right on the beach, the service is very good, the room is not very big, and the hotel is very beautiful. Parking is 25 Euros a day. Someone will help you parking. The price of the hotel matches the hotel level."
"The hotel location is close to the sea, the best in Malaga, with Bulgari bathroom products, the rooms are not noisy, noisy corridors, overcrowded during the summer, seafood restaurants are recommended!"

"The English at the front desk is not particularly good. The buffet dinner is more cost-effective than the surrounding Italian restaurants. The daughter is 15 years old and counts as a child. In the hotel you can see the Mediterranean Sea. The hotel pool is very iced. It is recommended to put some towels next to the hotel. The night view around the hotel is beautiful, and there is a very meaningful museum."
"Probably the best hotel in the town of Mijas. The hotel has a large area with beautiful garden pool, tennis courts, indoor underground garage and other facilities. It was upgraded to a suite free of charge by the hotel, facing the Mediterranean Sea. The scenery is very good. The hotel is also a five or six minute walk from the town center. The location is very good."
"The facilities are generally the same, the relatively old hotel, the service staff is relatively small, but there is a large balcony, can look at the sea, not bad, the room is as small as most hotels in Europe, no surprises and no disappointment."

"The hotel is on a hill with a superb view, next to a viewing platform and a Moorish castle converted from an ancient Roman fortress. Free parking, breakfast is small but exquisite. Basically, the hotel can not go down the mountain to play, the fly in the ointment is that there is no free water, it is best to buy first in the mountains, of course, if you have plenty of time, you can take a walk to the mountain to buy. In short, I think the hotel is great. The mountain is the expensive hotel."
"Full five-star, very good stay experience, Malaga city is slightly unpopular for Chinese tourists"
"Definitely recommended to everyone's mystery hotel"

"Spent a Girls Weekend here on a package minibreak - great situation for the City Centre and shopping. Rooms were clean and bright and the service was excellent. The buffet breakfast was great, with tortilla every day and lots of little cakes and breads. Staff were friendly and helpful. The area round this hotel is improving rapidly - plenty to do within a 10 minute walk. We know the city well and thought this hotel was one of the best we've stayed in."
"My friend and I have just returned from this beautiful hotel. From our arrival to departure the staff were lovely. The hotel is modern, spotlessly clean and in a great location. Our room was lovely with beautiful decor. The bathroom was big with a huge walk in shower. Our bed was very large and comfy. There is a safe, mini bar and coffee making facilities which you pay for. The breakfast is continental. I would definitely recommend this hotel and will definitely be returning 😎"
"We stayed here in February and were very impressed with the staff at this hotel, all of them were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is in a great location, very easy to walk to all of the sights in Málaga. Good night's sleep, quiet, clean and comfortable. Great rooftop bar and a lovely breakfast."

"This small hotel was close to the sea, so very convenient to all of Torremolinos. The room was small but had all we needed, until 3 days into our holiday when the hot water went off. We managed with cold water, but really missed a hot shower. Carlos was very helpful and kept us up to date with the situation. Apart from this great inconvenience we managed to keep clean with cold water. The hotel is very clean and the staff and management were very friendly and helpful, especially Carlos who kept us informed about the lack of hot water, on a daily basis. The breakfast was very substantial, serving hot and cold food (eggs were cooked as and when required). The hotel was well situated for everything in Torremolinos. Despite the problem with the hot water we would return. The chef in the dining room was very obliging and cooked eggs (any style) to order."
"Very convenient to airport...only a 10 minute transfer..with no aircraft noise whatsoever. The hotel is spotless..room very spacious with modern feel. Breakfast was plentiful...and fresh produce each day...food cooked to order🙂. Had a couple of evening meals in the hotel.. also very good..staff attentive throughout. About 1km from the centre of Torremolinos.... but nice ‘flat’ stroll along the promenade and you’re there...you can even have free use of the hotel bicycles to reach the further a field Benalmadena. All in all a great place to stay."
"We had booked for 5 nights on a room only basis although other options are available. We were impressed with the facilities and cleanliness of the hotel. The outdoor pool was heated to around 23 degrees with plenty of loungers and towels provided, there was also a small gym with various machines."
