"We just stayed two nights at Les Hauts. The property and its surrounds really are great. The pictures everyone posts do it justice. It’s also centrally located for the Northeast Loire so you can easily see Chenonceau, Chambord, Chaumont sur Loire, etc. Also, the food at the bistro is great (we didn’t eat at the 2 Michelin star restaurant in the hotel). However, there are two things about this hotel that made us feel a little betrayed by the price and the Relais and Chateaux credential. First, our room was a tiny space in the attic. It was small, uncomfortable and had one tiny window from which you could barely look out on the property. Crazy the price we paid for that crawl space. Second, we had multiple unpleasant experiences with the staff (note - we live in France, so this is not a knock on French service). The worst of these was about lunch. We got back to the hotel from Chenonceau and were told that the bistro was completely booked for lunch. We asked at the front desk what we could do about lunch instead given our two year old needed to eat quickly before a nap. She said we could eat at the 2 Michelin star restaurant. We said that might not be best given our daughter. She said, “Well is she good? That’s our only other restaurant.” Yeah, the reason I didn’t want to have a 400 Euro, two hour meal of lobster and foie gras with my two year old was because I was worried she’d upset the other guests. We asked about room service, to which she said fine. We then asked if we could take the room service to the seats outside (note - there were more than 70 entirely empty seats outside of the Michelin restaurant, the bistro, and elsewhere). She laughed at me and said, “absolutely not. Room service is for your room. Those seats are for the gastronomique and the bistro. Now would you like to eat at the gastronomique or in your room?” Again, our room was tiny and dark with one chair. I somehow spent a bunch of money to eat overpriced room service in a dark crawl space after a haughty and unaccommodating concierge completely dismissed very reasonable requests. Relais and Chateaux indeed."
"My husband and I stayed 3 nights at this stunning hotel. We were upgraded to the suite (perks of staying off season) which was a great surprise! The room was massive and clean. Nespresso coffee, Clarins bath products, huge ergonomic tub amenities go on and on. The customer service was insanely amazing, from the front desk, concierge, restaurant waiters etc. We did not have hot water one morning (?!) and the front desk did everything they could: offered to have me shower next door in the unoccupied room or in the spa downstairs. Thankfully the hot water magically worked 45 mins later. The food at the Bistrot was superb, unfortunately the main Michelin starred restaurant in the main building was closed due to renovations. Breakfast was vast and heavenly (pasties, smoked lox, ham, fruits, yougurt etc). I would highly recommend this place for a soecial occasion while visiting the Loire Valley. It is located about 40 mins from both Chateau Chambord and Chateau Chenonceau. Love love love this hotel!"
"This amazing hotel is a little off the beaten track, which is just right: it has its own park with its own swans, a pool and tennis courts, an excellent high-end restaurant and and equally excellent bistro. The rooms are gigantic, the baths luxurious and up-to-date, the staff couldn't be nicer (even when someone's husband caused a short circut that deprived the whole annex of electricity or when someone's wife couldn't get her head around the concept of warm or cold milk with her morning coffee)."

D7 lieu dit les Landes,., Ouchamps, Centre-Val de Loire, France
"18 of us aged between 6 and 72 met up in this hotel for a 70th Birthday celebration and the team there couldn't have been more helpful. We ordered our meals for the party in advance selecting from one of the Summer menues but the chef made changes for a couple of the children and one person on a special diet. All the food was delicious and it was great to be able to relax in the dining room overlooking the courtyard while the children could safely go out there to play. The glass-covered swimming pool was a great attraction (covered because it was so hot not cold - but the cover could be removed. Us oldies went for walks round the grounds or played rummikub under the trees in the courtyard instead! The hotel is not officially equipped for disabled but they bought ramps so that my daughter, who is in a wheelchair, could access the dining and sitting areas and took the door off her en-suite so that she could get in there in her chair. The fact that they speak English made things much easier to organise and they were very helpful. We had ordered the standard rooms and Duplex appartments round the courtyard. The Duplexes had air conditioning but the standards did not. We went the week after France had hit its highest temperature for years! One of our party upgraded to an air-conditioned room which was available, but I stayed in a non-airconditioned room (Room 11). It was hot but there was a fan and we managed fine. Something to consider in the peak of Summer though if you are susceptible to heat. "
"We stayed here during last Xmas break with our at the time 3,5 years old daughter. The family room was very nice, with a private garden and had a baby security door upstairs with a nice room equipped with a TV. Our daughter really liked the room. The heating was not very sufficient though, it was really cold in the room no matter how much we turned on the heating. The hotel has convenient parking and is located in a very calm place. Has a nice restaurant too, we enjoyed our breakfasts and 1 dinner there. The staff was also very helpful. I would recommend this place."
"I really like this place, it’s very specific, calm and beautiful. Atmosphere is brilliant. Breakfast was amazing. The only thing is that rooms are very small and it’s not very comfortable with suitcases. Anyway it’s so beautiful there that you don’t really need to be in the room :) My recommendation to this hotel."

"There is a public car park at the door, free on Sundays, free from 19:00 on weekdays and 9:00 the next day. The city's attractions are within 20 minutes walking distance, mountain city, there are more steps and up and down slopes, there are roadside parking spaces in the center of the city, but it is not easy to find empty seats."
"Breakfast is average, hotel facilities are good, 15 minutes walk from the Royal Palace Castle. Very close to the Loire River, the scenery is very good, very suitable for photography, I feel very comfortable"
"The breakfast was very good. In front of the hotel is the Loire River and there is a public car park. But there are yellow urine stains in the toilet of the bathroom, which makes the bathroom have a big urinating smell."

23, rue des Combattants d'Afrique du Nord, Contres, Centre-Val de Loire, France
"Victor and Maria Orsenne look like the kind of people you'd expect to see reading a good novel or browsing through Le Monde at a cafè on the Left Bank in Paris. They have a comfortable, lived-in feel about them which is exactly what their splendid Manoir is like. He seems like a man happy in his kitchen and she fusses around her guests in their small restaurant with stylish efficiency. We stayed in their Pavillion, which is a small outbuilding in the garden. It was comfortable, quiet and led straight on to the garden which was perfect for our pooch. The food is good, cooked to order with fresh, local ingredients. The menu is limited but then there's just two of them and a very nice young man who waits at tables so that's to be expected. Lovely place, lovely couple."
"We felt very welcome in this hotel. We had a very spacious and comfortable room. We also enjoy the dinner a lot, a bit pricey but worth every penny. We would go back if we come back to this area un the future "

26 Avenue Du Marechal Maunoury, Blois, Centre-Val de Loire, France
"The hotel is located in the small town of Blois and is the most convenient city in Chambord. Although the hotel is a little far from the river, there is no scenery, but the breakfast is good, the facilities in the hotel are relatively modern and simple, it is the consistent level of Novotel. What is especially pleasant is that the French girl who served has actually stayed in Wuhan for 4 years and speaks good Chinese. My parents went on to eat breakfast myself. I asked her to arrange it directly. It was a very intimate service, great!"
"There is a parking lot free of charge, but it is often stopped at night. The parking lot next to the meter can be free until 9 am. After the time is fine, I have a lesson. The fine can be paid on the meter. Free one day. Hotel location is relatively biased, but the city is not big, just walk away. The performance opposite the Blois Castle must be seen!"
"A little distance from the sights, supermarkets and the center, although the straight line is more than one kilometer, but the slope or many stairs. There is limited parking space in the parking lot, so it is good to stop driving. It may also be the reason for catching up with public holidays."

34, grande rue, Chitenay, Centre-Val de Loire, France
"This is a lovely Auberge and one to which our travelling companions had been several times. Their selling point is their food - which is certainly fine dining. It was good although after 3 nights I thought a few more simple things on the menu would have been welcome. The wine was good. The selling point for me was location - it is also clearly a popular venue for cyclists and families (and a combination of both). The village was lovely and the church, which is always open it seems, is worth a look. Elianne in the Tabac opposite is also well worth a visit for a cold beer - although you can also get beer etc at the very pleasant hotel bar which no doubt comes into its own in the winter. The garden is large with many corners in which to sit, and there is a small pool which was bliss on such hot days. It is possible to cycle to local chateaux - including the lovely Beauregard. I would agree that the rooms, while pleasant, are quite small and in this weather they were a bit hot. However, you can get out of your room to the many pleasant parts of the hotel and garden and it is definitely child friendly, with lovely staff."
"We stayed here for 2 nights while biking the Chateaux of the Loire, and could not have been happier! The room was good size, the twin beds decent. I said a lot more good about the place but the damn computer erased it, so I will say that I liked the place and would stay here again."
"We were a group of nine biking in the Loire Valley and Auberge du Centre was one of our stops. Room was very comfortable and cozy. Service was outstanding always helpful and assisted us several times with extra activities. Pool was great. Highly recommended."

36 route des Montils, Cande-sur-Beuvron, Centre-Val de Loire, France
"We booked this hotel for a 1 night stay on our way home from the Dordogne and also booked dinner. I think it is important to book the restaurant as it was completely full. The lady who welcomed us at reception turned out to be the wife of the chef and co-owner with him. She later worked front of house in the restaurant and was the sommelier too! She was charming and very helpful. The hotel has some modern parts but our room was older. However it was newly renovated and the bathroom was excellent too. The garden is lovely and although it overlooks a busy road, one wasn’t aware of that at all and it was great to sit in and have a drink. We ate dinner on the terrace - such a lovely setting and the food was amazing. A real gastronomic experience - worth staying just for the food. Service too was excellent. We slept well (and the cockerel didn’t wake us as we thought it might!) and then enjoyed a very good breakfast - only trouble was I was still full from dinner so couldn’t try everything! Fresh coffee might have been nicer than a machine but still very good! Although we only stayed 1 night, the hotel is very close to Blois and would make a great centre for exploring the Loire and its chateaux."
"We stayed one night here en route to Cherbourg. Recommended by friends for the gastronomy which certainly didn’t disappoint. I think the best most creative and delicious meal we have ever had!! A true artist in the kitchen and deserves a Michelin star! Very friendly and helpful young couple running this outstanding establishment. They deserve to do well. Charming old building with extra rooms in a modern building attached. The rooms are comfortable and affordable. Interior design not to our taste but perfectly acceptable. A little gem here but you need to book ahead otherwise you won’t get a table for dinner. We also loved renting the bicycles for a few hours to cycle along the Loire. Highly recommend this charming small hotel."
"We were met by the owners wife on reception who was polite ,fun and welcoming, later she was the perfect front of house manager in the restaurant. The bedrooms were modern well designed with comfortable beds. The food was simply outstanding. When the nibbles that come with your drinks are so good you know with confidence that the meal will be very good. It just got better and better. It was out of our way but I will visit this hotel each time we are in France in the future, it was simply so good.Paul Avery may2019"
