"So this was a quick 2 night stop to visit friends..This hotel was really lovely, small and intimate.The rooms was immaculate, the bathroom great to spread out for hair and makeup..Excellent breakfast in the mornings, in a very nice surrounding...very cute, small outdoor pool..its not a resort hotel but whatever you need us there, not far from the beach either.Walkable to a huge upscale stripmall..The staff was super friendly..The hotel was convenient to locate..It had a tropical feel, surround by palm trees..We would stop here again.."
"This is the hotel I selected for my Mayo visit. Other ones I have used are Hampton on Beach drive to the north, and Marriott on the Mayo campus. THIS hotel is the best in my view, especially on price. Just to the east are restaurants like Long Horn, Chik Fil A and so on. Also good chinese take out at WOK N ROLL. I have spent thousands of nights at hotels over the last 30 years, and this is a good one; I WOULD STAY AGAIN!"
"This hotel accepts block bookings from children’s soccer teams, then allows one irrational elderly guest to dictate the movement of said children within the hotel, nothing to do with Covid, kids were wearing masks and observing protocol, she was the one approaching them. I should have known what was coming, when I had to wait in line at check in behind said irrational person as she reeled off a litany of ridiculous complaints about anything she could think off. If you do not want large volumes of children in the hotel, then please remove yourself from the database of the companies that make block bookings on behalf of children’s soccer teams. In addition, there were several groups sitting in the foyer. Some were making a little noise. Rather than address the people who were making the noise, it was demanded at 8.50pm on a Saturday night that EVERYONE had to vacate the foyer and go to their rooms! The delightful old dear with the aversion to children ( and humans in general) was complaining about the noise. So in order to appease one irrational guest, everyone else had a curfew ? .Really.! I am certain, a more experienced staff member would have not been overwhelmed and intimidated by an angry, irrational elderly guest. I look forward to the follow up with the duty manager in the morning, there was no duty manager tonight as they were having tonight off. We only stayed at this hotel as it is recommended as being family friendly........why else would they take these back bookings? ."
