"We opted for this hotel as it is a 'beach' hotel. You can indeed see the beach from the hotel but there is no access from the hotel- you have to leave the hotel grounds and walk down the main road to get to the beach. The beach itself is run by a beach club combined with the municipality therefore standard charges apply- there are no beds reserved for this hotel. The hotel next door however, has beds there and direct access- this an actual beach hotel. Ok the other places. The rooms are nice and fairly spacious but with very limited in terms of storage. We had an inland view which was actually the alley between the two hotels. The title of this review refers to the major issue which we had at this hotel - it was a local place for local people. By all accounts we thought this was to do with the covid issues - however it seemed too engrained in the way the hotel operated to be a new trend. Locals, often with their whole family, frequented the hotel pool everyday of of stay, taking up the sunbeds and umbrellas ( which were in short supply due to covid regs) meaning that tourists, at times, could not get a bed by the pool. They were also waited on around the pool - seemingly as they were paying cash, which meant that the tourists who were AI were left queuing waiting to be served. As aforementioned the visitors seemed to be treated to a much higher standard than any other guests, even extending to Greek music being played throughout the day at the poolside - seemingly on repeat. I have stayed on many places here and even listen to the local radio and even that plays a variety of different music. The final straw for us was when we walked in from a night out to find that the barrier to the 'guest only' car park was lifted and the place was over run with double parked vehicles. The carpark itself was often full as normally the guests would not have cars, plus the day trippers filled any spare spots. We mentioned it to the staff inside and initially got a look of 'mind your own' followed by the excuse that - "it's the bank holiday we always open up plus they will all be gone in a few days.'?! Other hotels offered entertainment- here there was none. Other hotels did not open their car park as a free for all but here it seemed policy. As a resident but none Cypriot I felt like a second class citizen in this hotel. No rules were abided by in the pool area ( people smoking and eating in the actual pool and glass bottles in the pool - despite the fact that the AI guests only being given tiny plastic cups.) Finally the AI drinks were a joke, the local spirits they are using are the absolute cheapest and lowest % possible and the menu was highly restricted, simple cocktails which were priced the same as those on the menu were not included. I would not go back to this hotel even if it was free just because of how poorly it was managed. The upside is that the bar and wiring on staff were wonderful and very attentive."
"Great hotel perfectly located by the beach and a short walk from the marina. We arrived late at night and found dinner in our bedrooms - That was a nice touch! Clean modern rooms, friendly staff and good food. The poolside was also lovely, even the music that they played there. We did not have any problems finding sun beds (Maybe this was a problem in peak summer). Hotel entertainment was okay (nothing to write home about), but it was great excuse to wander into the city for a drink or two! We were fortunate enough to catch the medieval festival procession. Perfect weather of 31 degrees during our stay! I highly recommend, and if you can go for sea view room and all inclusive. We will definitely be back!"
"This hotel has a perfect quiet location near the beach and the marina. Plenty of bars near by. Night clubs are a short walk away. The hotel is spotlessly clean and the facilities are first class. Lovely reception area, pool area and indoor there is a pool, gym, hairdressers and massage. Dining room large and airy with plenty of choice of food. Bedrooms are clean and linen changed frequently. Bedrooms are good. Sea view over bay is great. All staff are friendly, cheerful and helpful. Would definitely recommend this hotel. Thanks once again Angelos and everyone for a great holiday."

"We cannot possibly give this hotel any less than 5 stars considering how well it is running during this crisis. It is under occupancy and the area is mostly closed down for the season but we feel they’re doing an incredible job. We paid a modest price for this week and we cannot fault the accommodation. It is well laid out, easy access to the beautiful pool area and superb beach - the water is crystal clear! The hotel is very clean and you get free beach towels, air con and safe in the room. I am shocked at reviews about poor food because we find the food superb. We spent a week at a 5* hotel in Turkey in August which had more choice of food than you could imagine yet we think the food quality is better here. Everything is cooked exceptionally well and there is a lot of choice. Each day there has been several meat choices as well as fish and vegetarian options. The desserts are beautiful too. It is also great to be able to get a fuller sized beer from the bar during the day rather than the mini cups you often get. We’ve been very lucky with the weather (28deg most days) and enjoyed a wander down to the square on a night where a few bars remain open - live music is good and it’s lovely to enjoy a normal lively atmosphere. The only gripe we have is the room size. I think our room is for 2 people and 2 temporary beds have been added for our children and it’s fairly cramped. But, again, I’m not complaining due to the situation and the excellent price we paid but if we were visiting during normal times, I’d not be happy with this. As mentioned in a previous review, the water features are off (not sure why) and the pool is freezing but the sea is like a bath and makes up for it. We also booked into the 2 restaurants and weren’t notified by reception that these are closed (you’re served the meal in the main buffet restaurant instead) and found out when noticing the places closed for the season and fellow holidaymakers mentioned their experience. We have cancelled these as the buffet restaurant is nice enough and we only booked for a change of scenery. Overall, we’re enjoying a very safe break away from the doom and gloom at home and would happily return in the future. Thank you Melissi Beach. "
"Overall a very positive experience. My partner and I stayed for 10 days (still here now) during Covid 19 pandemic Pros Excellent housekeeping - very clean and the housekeepers recognize individual needs and respond without need to tell them. Excellent Maintenance - nobody mentions the engineering department unless things go wrong! The hotel is in good condition, the services are working and effective, the pool water is crystal clean, slip, trips and fall hazards are clearly marked, the pool has anti-entrapment measures, as well as safety equipment and lifeguards. The pool is deeper than normal in areas but these are clearly identified by depth markings every 3meters. The pool deck is inherently non-slip. Glass is not allowed in pool area. Balcony balustrades are compliant to all safety standards Great F&B: only criticism would be that the buffet is not replenished right up to closing time (so if you dine late you might miss out on the best dishes), sometimes the hot dishes are not very hot, and the coffee/hot/water at breakfast is never hot. Cons 1. Step into the pool at bar side has no handrail - old people could easily slip at the point 2. A few stairs do not have compliant handrails and in slippery areas this could result in an accident. "
"Just returned early because of the quarantine list changing whilst out there but we didn't let this dampen out holiday. We were very impressed with this hotel. The staff were great and made a real effort. Remembering our names and what we wanted to drink etc. Sotos, Joseph, Nikos & Chritos deserve a special mention. The place was clean and the superior room was large and the shower was great. Food was different everyday and very good better than we expected. You have the choice of 2 restaurants normally and as they weren't open we were able to have a night of food from those restaurants in the main restaurant. The pool bar is good the menu is a little limited but good. The pool and beach are excellent and especially for families as the sea is calm and shallow. The pool is a good size and there's a smaller adult only pool. I can't really fault this place. I've even thought about what I would change and I can't. I would return here wish is the highest complement I can give as I don't normally want to go to places twice. Thanks to the whole team that made it such a good holiday for me and my family. "

"I picked this hotel based a lot of the reviews from others on the site. Just for context, I am an avid business and leisure traveller that has been on each continent / too many cities to count and been an experienced traveler for the last 35+ years of my life. I will say this hotel is okay. It is a bit from the city center which is not a bad thing. About a 10-15 min max. Close to Love Bridge and the sculpture park. There are buses out to Cavo Greco or you can get taxi to any spot. Realizing this is the off season for Cyprus this hotel worked out fine but, did not leave an impression on me or make me want to recommend it to friends/family. The receptionist who checked me in was very kind but when my passport was left with her during check out (first time in my life) and I didn’t realize it until 2 hours later - they never rang up to the room or when she saw me leave about an hour after checking in that they still had my passport! Talk about extreme panic! The hotel is okay cleanliness wise - it is run down a bit and could take a face lift in the lobby and many other areas. The keys are clunky old style with an actual key and this metal slot to turn on the lights, etc. The room itself is “fairly clean” but, could use improvement with replenishment of toiletries without asking. I do have to give points for the cleaning each day - like clock work. The buffet breakfast is nice and sufficient. I would recommend that the staff greet each customer - it was very hit and miss. Again, realize this is the off season - I can not imagine if it was full season - you may never get anyone’s attention. Overall a decent stay but, nothing specifically amazed me. Check out was okay - all that was asked of me, “you used nothing” and no offer to get a taxi or how my stay was...again early morning but, with Ayia Napa being the hot spot it is during regular season you would they would still step it up. The gym is good and the ladies at the spa are extremely nice. Cyprus itself is beautiful and I will return but, not to Napa Mermaid."
"I Spend two unforgetable days in this cosy, homely, Boutique hotel in Ayia Napa. The hotel has been very recently entirely refurbished from the Public areas, Spa , rooms, gardens , pools. The staff is really super friendly , professional , and can give you a lot of accurate information about the area. Rooms are really clean with crispy white linen that makes you have a wonderful sleep. All rooms are with balcony with amazing views to the cleanest beach on the island, 2 minutes walk from the hotel. Breakfast ahd dinner are really great and a good value for money, the variety and taste of the food is exceptional. The Service in the Restaurant is great. I was amazed by the variety of breads , butters, desserts ahd main dishes. The lamb kleftiko was exceptional. The spa with the indoor pool, sauna and steam bath are great. A tropical Paradise for relaxation with two jacuzzis . The view is the cactus Garden outdoors which is great . The Elemis spa products and massage treatments are great and affordable. For sure i will be there soon as i call it a home away from home "
"We visit the Napa Mermaid Hotel once a year for several years now. Over the years it has become like our second home. The staff is super friendly, the hotel is in very good shape and it has one of the cleanest pools we've ever seen. And this year it was good to see that everyone took the topic Covid-19 very seriously. It's a privilege to come back next year. Thank you to everyone at Napa Mermaid to make our stay unforgetable and make us feel very welcome."

"It was a nice solo getaway, even thou i did have my friend with me for a few days, but at the start and end i was alone... i also booked at tasia maris oasis but was directed to here, pretty much same establishment, very similar.. the rooms and hotel was quite plain n basic in style, but parts of the hotel looked nice n modern. Quite small.. but it was perfect for me.. the biggest postive for me was the hospitality.. the workers were very polite and, helped me with my enquiries.. the beach is very straight forward about 5-10minutes, a supermarket on d way n a few shops.. overall it was very quiet in the hotel not much quests but also the area, most likely due to covid.. but i enjoyed a break with not much people around as i was paranoid as it is. Breakfast was included in my package, the first morning after eating breakfast 5minutes after walking back to room belly was turning, as soon as i hot in room i was vomiting my guts up.. i was curious what.. i had egg, bacon, bread and a coffee.. i thought it must been d milk. The milk was in a jug out, thats the only thing i could think of.. i was abit reluctant to eat breakfast again, but the rest of the days i only had egg, bread and a yogurt.. no milk out.. and i was fine since then.. you mite be fine just b careful.. all the other food i had 2 pay for at lunch and dinner but i had no problems it was nice, spot on.. overall nice chilled holiday if ur looking for relaxation and a few nice scenerys n beaches not far with a cab."
"We stayed here in Oct 2020. Ayia Napa was very quiet as the season had finished and obviously because of Covid. However this meant that myself and my young family (myself, wife and children 10 and 11) were able to enjoy a nice relaxed holiday. The hotel was spotless throughout. We didn't originally purchase the all inclusive package however we upgrade while we were there. The all inclusive package was fantastic. Full menu of food throughout the day, set meal at night all waiter served. Lots of cocktails also included. The pool was great, and exceptionally clean. The staff were great. Very welcoming and attentive. We received a nice welcoming gift of a bottle of fizz in our room as it was our anniversary. The room was great, free air con and nice walk in shower. If I booked again I would request a pool view as the road is a little noisy. Location is great, very handy for everything and a short walk to the beach and also the strip. Would highly recommend Many thanks "
"Getting to Cyprus was easy once you understand the requirements, we did private CV test, paperwork was checked at airport before we were able to fly, then again on entry. We were booked into Tasia Maris oasis for a week all Inc, big surprise when we found it closed and dusty. Eventually saw sign saying reception at River Rock, big relief, so eventually was offered room there (literally same complex) to use all River Rock resources, I agreed to move to rooms here with sea and pool view, explored and content. So River Rock was very quiet, staff amazing, food all off menu and cooked fresh, booze was good too, pool area great, clean and comfy. I have to admit was really concerned but ended up really happy, a great break in a lovely hotel, was starting to get s little busier when we left, nearly half term. We love Cyprus and Napa, well worth the trip, about third open when we were there. A lovely chilled break, please take the opportunity and support the island. "

"We stayed for 4 nights in this beautiful hotel. The photos and the reviews were good prior to going but when we got there we were in love! The superior room was divine, the views from the room was incredible. The infinity pool and service from all staff was spot on. Andre the manager on front desk was super accommodating and looked after us so well. Me and the husband loved the hotel would definitely come back here."
"The hotel is very nice, very clean and the pool area is beautiful! The stuff is more than friendly and helps whenever they could. Also the breakfast is excellent. The rooms a very cozy. Only thing is the roundabout in front of the hotel - sometimes it’s a little bit loud bc of the cars. "
"I spent 2 weeks at Hotel Napa Suites. Clean as a button. Staff--in particular, Alex--was wonderful. I was there to spend the time writing and it worked perfectly. Might not have been so quiet if it hadn't been the off season. Get a tour of the occupied North Cyprus. Shocking. "

"This was my 4th visit to Ayia Napa and the first time I have stayed at Nestor.I can understand why so many people come back again and again. The staff are fantastic,so friendly, helpful and very hard working. The food is great so much choice and EXCELLENT quality. Stayed on an all inclusive basis and I could not fault anything which is praise indeed as I am very fussy!!!! The Hotel is spotlessly clean in every single area.In fact I was so impressed I am going to cancel the family holiday booking I have made for next year at another hotel in Ayia Napa and re book at Nestor.I am happy to lose my deposit so that we can return here instead.Happy staff certainly means excellent customer service.Thank you for making my birthday so special.I can't wait to return."
"The Nestor Hotel, we had the privilege to stay here last month, and had the best experience, since lock down. It felt so safer than the UK. The Nestor had the best hygiene rules in place. The staff instructed every guest to follow the rules, of masks and gloves, and of course hand sanitised all over the hotel, only two people in the lift. The Nestor staff at the same time, made sure that every guest was having a joyful time, being up best trying to make guests relax, and forgetting the hard times ahead. The bar staff Vista's and Lucas and the girls, made our holuday. Also Christina the pool hostess, was fantastic. Well done the staff of the Nestor Hotel. We will be back as soon as we can."
"Absolutely perfect . everything: hotel, stuff, food, accommodation..all recommendation! In the center..near to vary beautiful beach 🏖️ Sve preporuke za ovaj hotel, ljubazno osoblje , fantasticna hrana, u centru samog mesta..blizu na 10min hoda je predivna plaza"
