Top 10 Backwater Hotels

We will not stay here again. Room 316 should be the ice machine room. The ice room has a great view of the ocean. The north 4th and 5th floors would give you a nice partial ocean view and the South side 2nd floor and above are good. We asked to be moved but it was a no. The board walk area with benches is a lovely place to sit and the beach is great but there are no chair rentals which is disappointing if you fly in. We bought chairs that we will have to throw away but it seems foolish that the hotel can’t provide them.

The balcony can see the sea, the scenery is good, there is a swimming pool downstairs, there are places to eat around and Wal-Mart, it is more convenient. The only regret is that there is no breakfast.

The hotel was great. I loved the oceanfront view, especially higher up. Mr. Joe at the front desk was very courteous and most helpful. The restaurant inside the hotel was great. Brian who rent out the umbrella and chairs (get there early to rent for the entire day $40) was also very respectful and laid back. The only problem I have is paying for parking at $9.95 per day. It is a hidden cost that if a person is on a tight could run into problems at the end of their stay. Oh, since COVID, you must request housekeeping ahead of time if you want your room cleaned. Overall love my stay and hopefully will return soon.

Stayed here a few nights at the start of a fortnight break as the airport isn’t too far & it offered a shuttle service for drop off & collection… Hotel was great, simple but absolutely met our needs, provided a good range for breakfast, had a nice pool & rooms were really well presented & comfortable with good facilities. Met a member of staff called TJ, an absolute gent, provided information on good places to eat, great beach locations & made a real fuss of our children, this man could not have done more to accommodate my family make us feel welcome…. Then we met Jayla….. ignorant, rude, disrespectful to my mother in law. It is my understanding that as a receptionist in a hotel your are a facilitator, you take care of a guests needs. They forget a toiletry you facilitate, they need to know how to get some where or need a cab, you facilitate… I don’t think I’ve ever had someone roll there eyes or tut at me before, both of which were done to my mother in law in my presence, this was particularly frustrating because at that moment, the request was to book the shuttle service to the airport later that day, the very reason we selected that particular hotel as our hire car was being returned that morning… Hotel & facilities were great, TJ absolutely made our stay but, in terms of other staff members, namely Jayla, some serious training is required for customer relations!!!

Great location, everything you need is walking distance. The hotel is very nice and the staff is very accommodating.

From check in to check out and everywhere in between just fantastic ! They have some of the most friendly & welcoming front desk folks. Spectacular Views from rooms. Very Clean Rooms. Several stores, and dining in walking distance

This is the best little beach front property ever, with amazing views of the ocean, right from your first floor room (if you so desire). The beach is deserted. The rooms are super-clean, and very large. Ours had a kitchenette, sleeping room, and a living room. The decorations where super-cute. (I don't normally go for super-cute but this was adorable.) The staff at this property are friendly, outgoing and want to make sure you enjoy everything about the area. The hotel is located in a residential area so it is really quiet. Not a lot going on (in a 1/2 mile radius) so if noise is your thing this is not your place. Many restaurants within a 5 minute drive though. What makes this place unique is that it immediately makes you feel like you are home. Most properties don't do that. Everyone we met (whether staff or fellow guests) were just the nicest people. The only downside to the property is that the pool does not have an ocean view. Great pool though. Included in your room are all your kitchen and dining supplies (everything you could possibly need), beach towels and beach chairs. You need nothing other than your bathing suit to come to this wonderful property.

After a long flight from the UK it was great to pull out of the airport in our rental vehicle and arrive at the hotel only a few minutes later. We had booked a junior suit with balcony and were not disappointed. The staff on the desk were really friendly and provided everything we asked for. We ate at the restaurant within the hotel and was really surprised at the food choice available, considering it was quite late in the evening. The young lady at the restaurant was really good. She was very polite, professional and had a great sense of humour. Check out the next morning was seamless before we set off to our final destination. All in all I would definitely recommend the hotel and the staff. Really pleasant one night stay. Have already booked for our next stay.
