3 Europa Road, Gibraltar, Gibraltar
"It’s not bad that after I cleaned it the next day, there was a smell of nail polish that was heavy and heavy. Breakfast had to be paid for by yourself. You can also choose a sea view room with breakfast. It is very nice and large and has a large sofa balcony. It is also great to see the price of the sea It’s reasonable to have a bus stop and traffic is convenient"
"The balcony of the room is the largest one on the floor. It has a good view towards the hotel. The hotel facilities are complete and the sanitation is OK. Even the facilities are slightly older, the environment and comfort are OK. Breakfast is not particularly rich."
"Very good hotel on the hillside with nice sea view and good service"

Ocean Village, Gibraltar, Gibraltar
"Eating out from the hotel is very convenient, but the room type booked may not be particularly good. The hotel comes with a casino. On a rainy day, you can use the spa to play a slot machine at the hotel. Taking pictures is really beautiful!"

21-23 Devil's Tower Road, Gibraltar, Gibraltar
"I have stayed at many hotels in the IHG group over the years, including a number of Holiday Inn Express locations. This is easily one of the better ones, although the whole modus operandi of HIE is actually good. The notion of a free breakfast is not common, by any means, and the HIE breakfast is generally good. The location in Gibraltar is one of the first I have come across where they actually offer bacon with the scrambled egg and sausage/beans. I don’t know why so many of them shun bacon – after all, a cooked breakfast is not a cooked breakfast without bacon. So all credit to the HIE in Gibraltar for this. Otherwise, there is little to distinguish this venue from others in the series. You know what you will get, a compact but well-appointed room with not-too-much clothes storage space, but a double bed, flat-screen TV, shower room and a small movable desk and chair. It all works and this one is not much more than two years old, so it is all still pretty pristine. What separate this one (apart from the bacon) is the staff. They were all very accommodating, professional and downright friendly! The hotel is across the runway, a walk of 10 minutes or so, on the first street you will come to. It is close up to the towering Rock, so on one side your room widow will have a view of the Rock face, which is interesting in itself, for you can spot the little apertures where the 50 kilometers of tunnels have gun emplacements dating back to the Great Siege. We had a couple of days on that side and then asked to be moved to get the other view, which the hotel was happy to accommodate. That side overlooked the huge graveyard, the airport runway and the border and hills of Andalucia beyond. Some critics have complained about the ‘depressing’ graveyard aspect. It is actually a very interesting place to visit and has significant numbers of Commonwealth War Graves sections. We can watch the aircraft manoeuvre to land on the comparatively short Gibraltar Airport landing strip and we can follow the streams of people and traffic crossing the runway (when it isn’t closed for aircraft movement). Most of the businesses in Gib are served by people living across the border in the town of La Linea. Criticisms of the HIE? Few. Perhaps the absence of somewhere to it out in the sun (there is a small terrace on the first floor but it is at the side of the building opposite a housing block and the gap acts as a wind tunnel!). It is not a full-service hotel so you cannot expect more, but a little thought might have installed a sundeck on the flat roof, perhaps? Overall, nothing but thumbs up for this location."
"We decided to get married in Gibraltar as it would be a lot easier than in Spain. Part of the requirements was that we had to stay 1 night in Gibraltar either the night before or the night of the wedding. We opted for the night before and chose the holiday inn express. We had to pop in during the day to have a confirmation email sent to the registrar. We were greeted by Milly on the reception who could not have been more helpful. She sent the email whilst chatting to us and when she found out we were getting married she was so nice and showed a real interest. We arrived at 18:30 that evening and although we were 30 mins late for check in it was not a problem and the staff were attentive and very friendly. We had a very comfortable night, the room was very clean and the bed comfortable. In the morning we went to breakfast and although complying with social distancing etc there was a great selection of cereals, toast. Croissants, jams etc. There was also a great hot choice and the portions were very generous. When it came time to check out Milly was on duty again and she greeted us remembering this was our big day and saying she was excited for us and said please pop in again even if we are not staying in the hotel even just to say hi. On the whole you know what to expect from Holiday Inn but Milly and the other staff we had interactions with have definitely made our stay memorable and we will definitely stay again!"
"We booked hiex Gibraltar for our wedding. Original booking for 17 people. We received a special discounted rate, and paid a deposit. Ultimately, due to COVID our guests were unable to attend and it was just two of us. The deposit was used to pay for our stay and the balance returned to us. They even honoured the discounted rate. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The staff are friendly and helpful. The hotel is conveniently situated for the town. Cleanliness standards are high at this time with sanitizers and other precautions in evidence. The breakfast included in the price is very good."

10 Cathedral Square, Gibraltar, Gibraltar
"The rooms are quite large and the location is pretty good, surrounded by commercial streets. The room facilities are average, with heating and air conditioning, but without a kettle. A bottle of water and a pound vending machine on the ground floor are more expensive than London. The charging plug is not sufficient. The service was fine. The overall hygiene seemed to be in order, there was a mosquito drain in the room."
"Staff were helpful and the location is interesting near Gibraltar's old town. Lots of picturesque streets, pubs and cool shops. The hotel is quite large and while comfortable, it is really quite and old building with an outdated look. Mind you, this didn't bother me because I was traveling solo, but I wouldn't use this place for a romantic getaway. Also, the breakfast was a cold continental and really just adequate at best. There is a little swimming pool here, which looked pleasant. "
"The room is clean and tidy. The service is very good. It is very difficult to find a cost-effective hotel. So I think the whole is great. The room card is a big key. It’s really big. The road won’t be lost. There is a self-service machine downstairs. It’s good to use snacks and chips."

Carretera Cádiz -Málaga, Km. 94, Tarifa, Andalusia, Spain
"The rooms were very spacious quiet and very clean with views looking down the valley and over the straights of Gibraltar to Morocco(premium twin). All staff were very helpful and courteous at all times.Nothing was too much trouble. The buffet breakfast was more than adequate with plenty of choice and very fresh. Not so much choice for the evening meal but we did use the set menu.We felt very much at home and extended our stay by a week.We intend to return in the spring.Ideally situated for exploring the local area but on a busy road.Petrol station next door which was very useful. The staff here were also very friendly and helpful."
"Beautiful setting which we could enjoy from our deck. Woke to the music of goat bells and wandered to the restaurant where there is a wood burning fireplace and cozy couches to sip delicious coffee or fresh squeezed orange juice in the mornings. The location gave us easy access to day trip to both Tangier and Gibraltar."
"Situated halfway between Tarifa and Algeciras this hotel is convenient for travellers to/from the Morroco ferry. Good sized rooms, friendly staff and restaurant/menu that suits most travellers. Swimming pool, good parking and views from most rooms. So good that we went back!"

Los Caireles, 2, La Linea de la Concepcion, Andalusia, Spain
"The hotel is nice and pretty good , some times the problem is that outside Spain the service in Asia or sud America from the AC is made with care and details , on Spain they make nothing even help a old lady to move the bag , that is not nice ! "
"In fact, the hotel is quite partial, the surrounding area is also very desolate, eating has to go far, and it feels a little unsafe to go back to the hotel at night. However, the interior is quite clean, breakfast and service are good, and the facilities are relatively simple."
"Ordinary small hotel, in this small city is good, the room key is the most original kind, there is no door card, the service is basically nothing, the parking lot is on the side, very convenient"

Paseo de la Conferencia, s/n, Algeciras, Andalusia, Spain
"The location of the hotel is relatively remote but close to the sea. It can be APM's container terminal. The hotel is very beautiful old-fashioned building. The hotel environment is absolutely good and has an open air and indoor swimming pool. It is very suitable for holiday, the room facilities are relatively old and the sanitation is good. However, the bathroom is filled with the smell of strong disinfectant water, such as the balcony to be smoked. Traveling is not convenient, but the front desk can call you a taxi. The city itself is not big. If you want to go to a nearby supermarket to buy some fruit or supplies, don't think about it - too far. The breakfast buffet is very good. After 19:30, the menu is very rich. The dining environment is excellent, the waiters are warm and thoughtful, and the wine needs extra order. In particular, the price of the hotel is affordable and certainly more expensive than domestic ones."
"I feel that it is quite good in the local area. It's a bit like a nursing home."
