Reviews From Real Travelers
Very good hotel, the environment is very good, looking at the ancient Greek temple on the top of the mountain. The service is also very good. The hotel is located far from the city center, so you can stay in the hotel at night, have dinner at the hotel, and the dinner experience is very good. The breakfast was very rich and the quality was very good. It is recommended not to miss breakfast. The basic room booked is small in size and can hardly be released from the travel box, which is a bit disappointing. Since a hotel is built in such an empty place, even the basic room type is too small, and the proportion of the basic room type is very high, the accommodation experience is discounted, affecting the overall image of the hotel. In short, the room is 7 points, the environment is 9 points, dinner is 9 points, breakfast is 10 points!

The Doric was absolutely an outstanding resort. Every room had a swimming pool (not just a dunk pool) with lounge chairs and a huge glass door opening up to the valley. The staff, especially Katia, could not do enough for us. Their service was second to none! The food was outstanding, the wine was delicious and the cocktails were superb! The grounds were impeccably manicured with a beautiful view of one of the temples on the other side of the valley. Looking forward to going back and spending a few more days in such a relaxing atmosphere.

Reviews From Real Travelers
This is my review from a well-ish traveled person. This place to look at is stunning, the hotel is very Italian, the furniture and feel of the place is lovely. The pool and outside area is just beautiful. However, it’s more of a, come for a couple of days to chill out kind of place, or if you are coming for more than that expect nothing more. You will be greeted with rolling eyes by some staff if you expect breakfast to be topped up when it runs out, look of disbelief if you want the bar to be open before 3 pm to even get a glass of water, yes the receptionist looked at me as if I was crazy when I asked if I could get a drink, because they do not allow any food or drink brought into the hotel, yet she wouldn’t ask a member of staff to open the bar, I asked what time it can be opened, the reply was maybe 2 maybe 3? So even in the midday heat I couldn’t get a cold drink. In the end you have no choice but to bring drinks in just incase they don’t open the bar. At first I thought it was because we were British but after speaking to other nationalities, it doesn’t seem to be the case. The food isn’t great, but if you walk down the hill to the restaurant on the corner you will find a welcome that is warm and friendly and they serve some delicious food! There is a couple of staff members that greet you with a smile, sadly I don’t know there names, a young guy who speaks good English and works behind the bar stands out. The beach is lovely! But be warned, it’s a steep walk back up! If your not steady on your feet you will definitely struggle. Like I said, if you are looking for a place to completely switch off with not a great deal to do, this is your hotel! We came for a friends wedding that was being held at the hotel, which was stunning, otherwise I don’t think we would chosen it to stay for a week, if I’m being completely honest.

I travelled with a group. We were treated well, with consideration and thought - good staff. Although an older type hotel the bathroom worked, aircon likewise, and cleaning fine. The large pool is delightful, clean and in great condition, likewise the chairs/umbrellas etc. Food - like most Italian hotels breakfast is on the over-sugared side (sugary orange juice for example), but bacon good, eggs seem real, and coffee OK. Dinner - group dinners not the greatest but quite decent and plenty of nice vegetables with mains, wines reasonably priced (all local, which is great). It's a bit of a trek to the beach and outdoor restaurants down steps & slopes but I saw the staff push a chap in wheelchair up the hill after dinner - 100% service. I would return if only to visit the pool.

Reviews From Real Travelers
We stayed 1 night at the hotel to visit The Valley of the Temples. What we liked: - it was a very modern hotel, recently renovated, designed very tastefully and uniquely. - the service personnel was very attentive and friendly. We were offered an upgrade to a Junior Suite. - the hotel’s restaurant served us high-end food and beverages! - it has a cool wine cellar where you could do a wine tasting with previous reservation What you need to consider before booking a room here: - the hotel is located in a little town named Favara which has nothing really interesting to offer other apart from the hotel and it’s restaurant. The surroundings were full of waste and abandoned buildings. We did not feel really save nor comfortable walking around there. - except from the hotel’s restaurant, it lacks communal areas to relax. Regarding the poor surroundings, this would have been very appreciated. We thought that the jacuzzi and roof top shown in the fotos were communal but in principle they only are accessible for the Penthouse Apartment. However, since at our stay the penthouse was not booked we were offered to use the jacuzzi, which was very nice of the hotel team. - the breakfast was compared to the nice and sophisticated dining too simple. Overall, we enjoyed our stay very much and would recommend it to all who are planning to stop by Agrigento and visit the archeological park.

Amazing place to stay for base to visit Valley of the Temples which is 20 minutes drive. We stayed in the presidential suite which was modern room on top level with modern amenities including kitchen, washer, dryer, Jacuzzi and sauna! The hot tub/Jacuzzi is outside with beautiful view of the city/cathedral. We ate at the on-site restaurant Le Traveggole which served amazing food. Overall we have no complaints. The breakfast was standard fare with good options for every taste. Valet parking was provided and appeared to be included with room rate as I wasnt charged extra. This is critical as parking is hard to come by in city. In addition check in by Mauricio was friendly and attentive. Directions are also provided by the hotel prior to arrival as GPS can be misleading. Their directions are spot on so pay attention to their emails. Overall great stay and highly recommend! Favara is small town that is a great base for visiting Valley of the Temples. There isnt much else to do but we enjoyed having late night drink at nearby bar/restaurant and having drink at rooftop/jacuzzi. Staff at this hotel are very attentive and helpful

The only advantage of this hotel is that there is a garden behind to see the largest cactus aloe tree and other plants around a few hundred meters. There is a supermarket to buy a few bottles of water. The next day, I saw the Valley of the Temple. How about the monuments two thousand years ago? It’s an hour of stone construction. If you look at the Valley of the Temple, you don’t have to use it in Sicily.
- HUI
It feels like a private hotel, the restaurant is great, the back garden is great and overlooks the Valley of the Temples. The service is very warm and the staff is very friendly. Going out to have a place to eat, you can also walk to the Valley of the Temples, along the road are big cactus 🌵

For me this hotel give me one of the best vacation experience! The front desk staff two women and a young men when out of their way to help me whit every need I had even if it was out of there responsibility and or scope of work. I needed to travel to Palermo airport but the train authority was working on the rails we spend a lot of time figuring out what was the best plan of action to make this 3 hours trip a great experience w/o me spending 12 hours waiting for my flight at the airport. So I took the bus and spend only 2 hours at the airport to come back home Bravo!! Noeme the pool attendant and Alfonsa the room service ladie were particularly helpful in making my day go by smoothly and enjoyable wile sleeping well. The breakfast staff remember how you like your coffee after the fist morning, do I need to say more?

No cartridge indicating the path to be travelled to reach the indoor parking on the back. To enjoy it (the navigator brings to the entrance where the stop is prohibited) you need to pass through a long track, parallel to the long sea to make an inversion to U (prohibited). Bar (or better corner bar) with call staff never seen to be attended in three days of stay. At the entrance, behind the bank, the recepcionist welcomes us by masking a brioches and asks for an advance payment despite the advance already paid with a bonus!!! No baggage service. The room has the shaved walls in several points, the shower is not unloaded and the cover has the broken ring where you can easily hurt, The walls lack the sacket and the metal on the surface of the sticks is critical for the inconsistence. After the intervention, which took place the day after, to drive the shower discharge, the problem remains. The private cover is replaced but the dust ventilation of the blind bath remains defect and inoperative with the easily imaginable and unpleasant consequences of the presents after some use. The third bed was needed because the electrical screens and the courtesy light were not close to the head but to the feet of the network (??) The towels for internal use are provided but not those for use if you go to the beach in The use is payable (2€ each) and charged (but not paid) without we asked for the supply. A friendly and friendly staff, abundant breakfast, clean pool but you can't say the same for the bedrooms. It may be a bad thing that Mr. Hotel is presenting for, but it doesn't deserve the fourth star. I personally give you three.

The location is perfect but if you are a single traverler do not get room 107 its a single room with tiny bed way too small if you are 5'9 tall its clena but better get a room with a double bed, the pool was cleaned most days but it took all morning so coukdnt use the pool untill about 11.30 am , the breakfas was ok, big problem is no pool bar service in July so you need to go to receiption and get a drink up some stairs , sun beds were good , i had guests during the day they paid ten euros each and that was fair compaired to local pools , overall good hotel and would stay again but get a double room
