This is the best hotel you could ever get in Kiama. The provided basement carpark for the guest. The staffs were so friendly. The room was perfect, beautiful and clean. Well done. Would love to stay here again in the future. Walking distance to the beach and blowhole too.

I booked 2 nights here with a Luxury Escapes package. Staff were very kind and friendly both at check in and out, the restaurant and room cleaning staff . I had a lovely big clean room. I had a very large balcony overlooking the 2nd quieter pool and lovely view of the green hillside. It had a kitchenette and full fridge. Breakfast was nothing fancy but tasty and plentiful. It was included in my package as was 15% off meals in the restaurant. Dinner was incredible both entrée and Main. Happy hour drinks also great value. It was in a great location. 5 mins walk to the beach and the coastal track that goes all the way to Kiama. The main town is a good walk uphill but doable if reasonably fit. Otherwise 2 minutes in a car to restaurants, cafes and boutique shopping. Will definitely keep my eye out for another good deal but longer next time.

I was quite shocked at receiving this email to provide feedback after I had already rang to complain about this bad experience....for my son and daughter In laws recent stay at Kiama shores.... Absolutely not happy with all of it from start to finish Which was reported to the manager jack on the phone today. On reservation before booking : a phone call to the reception, who stated ” the rooms aren't real flash for a wedding guest stay ” Receptionist sounded young, so I guessed she may should not have said this . Checking in etc : yes ok Arrival : well I'm lost for words! Check in ok , my son and his new bride finished their reception and hoped for a beautiful stay in Kiama shores, and ”mum” who booked this for them as a ”gift” for their wedding was hopeful of a ” first night together as a married couple ” would be relaxing and unwinding To my discust, I phojed my son to ask him how his night was ... His reply, didn't get much sleep, people partying and yelling in the rooms near us Rang reception, but noise continued, rang reception again, then eventually stopped. Shower kept dripping and making noises , shower was loud in the morning, pipe noises. Shower door was narrow access before hitting toilet . Breakfast which was paid for by mum : on entry to Cafe below, we were told, we only had 15 mins to order and eat as there were bookings for breakfast then. Went to order the big breakfast, was told we weren't around to as it wasn't included , but we were able to order a bacon and egg breakfast with the extras equaling to a ” big breakfast ” The breakfast took 15 mins to arrive And we were looked at constantly to let us know they were expecting bookings As Jakes mum who booked this for the newly weds , I will not recommend this motel to anyone. Speaking with ” the manager Jack regarding this appalling experience, his reply to this couples sleepless night was ” well I had to get up twice after your son rang reception re noise, so I didn't sleep well either ” My reply was ” this is your job, your position as manager, to make sure guests are comfortable etc. His reply: what do you want me to do ? $335 for one night accommodation for my son and new daughter inlaw as my wedding gift to them, was an absolute nightmare My request was a partial or full refund for this , my reply from jack was no sorry we can't do that. I will take this matter further , as it is not right to be charged this much for a restful and disrespected way they wrte treated.

Late decision to stay in Gerringong, so no advance booking. Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was basic but clean and was great for an overnighter. In the heart of town so close to shops, cafes and restaurants. They didn't do breakfast onsite, but given all the surrounding cafes this was not a problem. We would happily stay there again.

We were visiting Kiama to watch a live outdoor concert and booked our apartment close to the supposed venue. We arrived conducted a walking tour of Kiama CBD in search of a restaurant and possibly a cold beer. The Grand Hotel was selected for the beer as it was only 100 metres from our accommodation. We had a drink discussed restaurant options and then thought we would have a look at the pubs menu. It looked good and not like ordinary pub grub so we booked a table. I ordered a fillet steak and my wife the prawn dish. Both were sublime. We ended up not going to our concert the next day due to the persistent rain and as such needed some where to eat that night. Once again the Grand Hotel was selected and we both had different meals and once again they were great. We got talking to one of the staff and he said if you ever come again try the Lamb Shoulder for 2. He has it when he brings his mother to the pub for a meal. After our meal we thought we would check out the live band that was playing. My wife said just one song but we ended up staying till closing as the band was so good. They are called The Water Runners and we will go and see them again if the opportunity arises. On our third night out we both agreed that we had to try the Lamb Shoulder for 2. Sensational!!!! On the Thursday night before we arrived in Kiama we had attended a fine dining restaurant at another Tourist town and whilst it was lovely the Meals at the Grand Hotel were just as good if not better. I must mention the manager and staff at the pub. They were all super friendly, welcoming and efficient. You expect this but they truly went above and beyond and complimented the venue and dining experience. You must include the Grand Hotel in your dining and cold drink plans next time you visit Kiama. We certainly will!!!

Better than expected. The front desk is very friendly, the latest check-in time is 6pm. If you can't arrive, you can email your ID photo to the front desk in advance. The rooms are very clean, especially the bathroom. The lake view room booked actually has a small window to see the lake, but it is not next to the lake. Looking out the window, you will see two rows of cabins. The front desk said that the cabins can only be booked by phone. So it is recommended to book a normal room, but the difference between upstairs and downstairs

I order a room with 2 beds but when I went there there was a queen suite room under my name. I was totally discomfort to share a bed but they mention they do not have any other option apart from paying another 190 dollars for another room.
