"I just wanted to take a minute to let you know about my experience staying at your hotel the weekend of February 5. When I came in to inquire about rooms for my birthday two weeks before, Akiesha was super nice personable and professional. She let me know she would be working the weekend of the 5th and when I checked I she and Shantel were so welcoming!! They were as excited for my birthday weekend as I was. They both have great personalities and are great at their job. Crowne Plaza is so lucky to have them as their employees. I will definitely be back because of them. -Stacy Clayton"
"When I tell you the staff at the Crowne Plaza in North Augusta go over and above, I mean Every. Single. Word. They are always there to accommodate any and every need. From their attentiveness in Salt & Morrow (Paeton), to the attention to detail and A++++customer service from the front desk (Shantel), to the chivalry of our driver (Vernon) to and from our event downtown Augusta. We are so grateful to have such a beautiful space in our community that we can frequent and utilize for special occasions as well as dinner on Wednesday nights."
"This hotel has a great sense of arrival. The hotel is everything you would expect (and more) from a new property. The public space on the lobby level is huge, and gives you the feeling that you are in a much larger hotel. Clean/new parking deck. Parking was free!! The restaurant and bar at the hotel looked great. Other restaurants and nightlife close to the hotel. Overall, just a great atmosphere. My wife and I stayed just one night, but we liked this hotel so much we want to come back in the future and explore more of the area."

"My wife and I were staying at the hotel for a convention happening that weekend at the convention center. The 2 girls who checked us in were Jennifer & Briana. They were AWESOME!! Sadly, that's where the awesomeness stopped. When we got up to the room, there were 2 empty water bottles in the garbage. I contacted the desk and the girl asked if I wanted housekeeping to come back in. I told her no, it wasn't a big deal I just wanted them to be aware. Still getting settled into the room, the tv was one of the biggest I've seen in a hotel. Hanging on the wall, there is a ledge under the tv. There were obvious dust balls and some other crap on the ledge. I again called the front desk. The girl was sweet and asked if I wanted to be moved to another room. Again I told her no, it wasn't a big deal but someone else staying in the room might not be so nice. She apologized again and that was it. The MAIN PROBLEM occurred the next morning..... When morning came, my wife needed some cream for her coffee. She went to the restaurant without me as I had a business call I had to take. She started at Starbucks but they were closed. My wife is disabled but she got to the restaurant ok. The so called "manager" wanted to charge her $3 for some cream??? We were guests of the hotel and we have to pay for cream?? My wife said he was rude and talked down to her. My wife left and went to the front desk to see about getting cream. The person behind the desk contacted a bellman and got her the cream immediately stating she doesn't have to pay for cream. When my wife joined me in the convention center, she told me what happened. The manager was very lucky I wasn't able to leave at that moment. We worked the day and then headed up for dinner. It was easer to eat at the restaurant so we didn't have to leave the property. My wife went in to get our seats (we were meeting friends) and I hung out the front desk to talk to a manager. 2 security officers met me and inquired about my concern. The head security's name was Michael. I did not get the other ones name. I explained the problems started with the unclean room and then led up to my wife's experience in the morning. They were both floored!! The unclean room is one thing but don't disrespect my wife for ANY REASON. The security officer whose name I didn't get took my info. Asked when I was going to be eating in the restaurant. I told him my wife is there now with friends. He followed me into the restaurant and apologized to my wife. Gave us some $10 off coupons. Later, he ended up buying our meals. That's great and we were very appreciative but the point is they should not have a manager who doesn't have any people skills. I strongly suggest the hotel itself but stay clear of the restaurant. You don't need that kind of abuse over something so ridiculous"
"First we went to the satellite door. So we were told to drive around the block to the front lobby. The valets were great. Friendly and helpful. I stayed in the car because it was in the low 30’s. The front desk were told we were there for a company party. I had made the reservation through Marriott’s app. We are members. I had booked a king suite. Expecting that we might invite friends back for cocktails. So this is where it gets good.....We had to walk a city block and a half to get to our room. Literally we walked all the way back to the very back corner of the hotel. I always put on our profiles that we like top floors. I guess that wasn’t paid any attention to because we we on the second floor. We over looked two popular bars. Whoopy! No view of Broad Street. No view of the Savannah River. The living room space was all tiled floor with no soft anything, no area rug. The coffee table was pushed up against the couch. We walked the 1 1/2 city blocks back to the bar before the party. Meeting friends they joked at putting there drinks on our room. I said only if the were willing to walk all the way back to the back of the hotel. The food was good at the party. But it was only beer and wine. I drink neither. So we returned to our room rather early (it was a work party). Since the living room was so uninviting we sat on the bed and watched a movie. It must be a pet-friendly hotel. I have no problem with that. But the very last room in the hallway (next to ours) had a barking dog!!! People spilled out of the bars enjoying themselves and we heard every word. So..... Bad room placement, not a pleasant room, low floor no view, loud bars, and a barking dog. We are praying the company doesn't plan the next party there. They are very imaginative because the previous one was at the museum. "
"We stayed in this hotel for a family reunion. The hotel accompanied our family well. I loved the location on the water and the walkway. The staff was very accommodating. The location was great for getting around downtown August to museums and other points of interest."

"I’ve stay at the Marriott for their personal customer service. I am a Platinum Elite member. My company and I have literally spent thousands of dollars at the Marriott hotels over the years and I have been very pleased! I have stayed at higher tier, more expensive Marriotts and have received 100% better service and personal attention than the Augusta Residence Inn. The check-in was like an old motel 6, the room was hot and sheets and comforter was stained with yellow stains and I had to wait 10 minutes before the water in the shower got hot! I was livid! I was in a nightmare, “this couldn’t be a Marriott hotel. When I contacted the sales broker and gave her my grievances, she submitted them to the manager. I never heard from him until I went to the mixer and saw him and his staff watching CNN and making political jokes and laughing until I came to the desk. Then I felt VERY UNCOMFORTABLE!! I was in a nightmare! Never in my close to 210 stays at the Marriott hotels have I ever felt “less”! I asked him if he received the email about my concerns from Mrs Romanowski from room 335, and he said “what was the email about?” I was floored! Other managers at higher tier, more expensive Marriotts, would already know who I was and what I was talking about! Now I felt like an idiot! I explained to him who I was and what I had encountered with check in, my room, the water and A/C, he ALREADY had me pulled up! ! So he lied to me about the email. He already knew who I was. But this conversation was about HIM! He was the big dog! He was the “privileged manager” talking with a hotel patron. Every thing I was discussing with him, he had an answer! Policy this and policy that, and all Marriotts are different, blah blah blah! I wonder how many Marriotts has he spent money on and spent time away from his family? None! I stay on the road with my company and spend thousands a year. I expect exceptional service! I usually get it! Durham, NC Residence is a 5 Star hotel to me because I was treated like a King and was constantly amazed at how the manager went out of his way to make sure I was happy and comfortable! Tristan Davis, manager of the Augusta Residence Inn needs to be trained by that manager in Durham, NC and then go to Charlotte,NC and spend time with Steve to make sure he gets how to deliver on exceptional customer service! I’ve read his responses to the other customers who had complaints, and they all revolve around “his” character and “his” ego of being the best or better than what the customer perceived! I will be spending 10k on my business trip here in Augusta, Ga, and sadly it may not be here at my favorite hotel! The management team here needs to be trained better on Customer Service Technology as well as being better human beings. He a all about making money, making his margins and could care less of going the extra mile to ensure that his guest are 100% top priority! Bad service! Dirty rooms! No hot water! A/C struggles! Bad and very uncomfortable attem"
"Not sure I've stayed in a Residence Inn before as the large, suite-style room with 2 windows was unfamiliar. Large sitting area. Decent bed & lighting with USB & power plugs bedside. Kitchen area with counter/cabinets, small stove, microwave, dishwasher, sink & mid-size fridge/freezer. TV on swivel for bed viewing or sitting area. Bathroom with tub/shower & toilet in closable room and vanity/sink connecting to main room would allow two to get ready & avoid a shower-fogged mirror. Place looked clean & felt safe. Free, open-air parking. Minor peeves, Coffee/tea station available during the included breakfast is not left "open" all day. Actual mugs & glasses in room (are they really clean?). As such, I actually prefer the cheap, but wrapped, plastic cups for hotel use. The ice bucket had no lid - not a big deal. Also, ice machine is on 1st floor, making for a hike if you want ice. Overall, a good overnighter."
"The facility is located in a place that is easily accessible and close to many area attractions. Check -in process was great. Staff were very courteous. However, the room door was faulty and difficult to open. Staff member didn’t offer to fix the door or place us in another room"

"The hotel is about 9 months old. The atmosphere was nice, relaxing, and inviting. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The fitness room is amazing; and I don’t even like exercising, but did. Lol. The room was great. The room was clean and comfortable. The pictures you see on the website for this location are true pictures. The lobby nice, up to date, and clean. There are two tabletop fireplaces outsides to sit by at night. Breakfast was very nice. I loved the omelettes. There was OJ, apple juice, several milk types to include almond milk. There was coffee, cereal, toast, boiled eggs, scrambled eggs, a breakfast potato mix, eggs, sausage, apples, & French toast. Breakfast is FREE, so it was more than adequate. There’s not much to do or see on Broadway Street. It is quiet in this area. There are eating places up and down the street. There is a nail shop across the street. Great service. There is a Beauty supply store across the street as well. There are some nice people in there. (Be careful, owner is not quick to own prices if marked incorrectly). The shuttle will take you anywhere within 5 miles free. 5 miles is their limit. There is a mall approximately 15 minutes away. I enjoyed my Lyft ride from and back to the airport. The charge from airport to hotel was a little less than 15.00. There is an airport for Augusta, GA; it the ATL airport. The General Manager was always available, ready and willing to assist. The staff was very pleasant. Housekeeping was very pleasant and helpful. I would definitely stay here again! There are NO like CVS’s and Walgreens in the immediate area; therefore, you will pay 3.00 for a 20oz. soda if you so desire one. Ice cream, I chose the cookie with ice cream inside, 4.00. Smile. There is a Starbucks coffee machine in lobby (for a charge); but there are coffee pots, coffee (free) in the rooms. There is a roof-top bar, not a drinker, so I never went up there; however, people were coming in just to go up there. It is on the 8th floor. There is NO POOL AT THIS LOCATION! I had a room with kitchen, the works, and there was NO BATH TUB, just a shower. My stay was relaxing and enjoyable! I hope this helps!"
"I called Friday morning to book a room for that night. The front desk answered all my questions and was very helpful with booking the room. When I got to the hotel the staff was extremely friendly and the hotel was sparkling clean. The rooms were wonderful, we had great views, and the beds were very comfortable! But my absolute favorite part was the bar downstairs and the bartender Christina. We live in North Augusta and I believe she is the best bartender around. She made excellent drinks, made sure everyone at the bar was always happy, and had great Conversations with everyone. We will definitely be back!"
"Stayed here for a night in town with my wife for a quick getaway and try my brothers new restaurant, Pi dapple Ink Tavern. My wife’s birthday was coming up and I asked if they could just write happy birthday on something and leave it in the room. They ended up writing a nice card and left a goody bag of candy for her. If they take the time to do something nice like that, I imagine that they enjoy their jobs and take great care of the property. The bed and pillows were super comfortable and the room was very clean. Location was perfect with a short walk to every where. 13/10, would stay again!"

"I have been a Hilton Honors Diamond member for as long as I can remember, and I have stayed at this property several times during the past 5 years. But this past Friday night was my last. My main issue? I checked in but forgot about grabbing my 2 complimentary bottled waters (a Diamond member perk) before heading to the room. When I called down to the front desk asking whether I should get my water at the desk or at the lobby canteen, I was informed by Tiffany that they do not provide water anymore. I told her that was “interesting” since I stayed in Hilton properties the previous 7 nights and had no issues with any of the other hotels giving out water. (BTW, I stayed the prior nights at the Hampton Inn in Fayetteville GA, Hilton Garden Inn Gainesville FL, Hampton Inn & Suites in Lake Worth FL and the Hilton Garden Inn in Tifton GA…all great hotels). I hung up the phone and fumed for a minute before I called back down again, bit my tongue, and politely asked for the General Manager by name. Tiffany informed me that he wouldn’t be in until the next morning. I replied that I was going to leave a poor review online unless she rectified the situation. Her response was that the General Manager had given her the directive not to give out water to anyone and she could do nothing about it. I told her I would proceed with the poor review to which she flippantly remarked, “okay, no problem”. Wow. The next morning, I noticed hair in my shower and experienced a non-existent breakfast since all the brown bags were gone. I surmised management of this property is cutting back on basic Hilton promises to save money. It is a shame, because this Hampton Inn and Suites was one of the nicer properties in the Hilton family. Yet, I suggest to keep moving and find another customer-centric hotel in which to stay while in Augusta, GA. I am hoping the General Manager doesn’t respond to my review offering to redeem themselves in the future. Your staff had that chance…and failed. I won’t be back."
"The hotel makes a great first impression. Nice, modern entrance, well-appointed lobby, and a very professional yet friendly desk staff. Just a few dinks keep it from getting 5 dots. The room appeared to be very clean .... until I dropped something under the desk and saw the mildew on the wall. The bed was very comfortable to sit on and lay on to watch TV .... but my wife and I agreed that it was too firm to get a good night's sleep. And I realize that Covid-19 makes serving a complimentary breakfast tricky . The hotel did a nice job of providing a boxed breakfast with 2 hard-boiled eggs, a container of yogurt, and a bagel ... but was surprised that the only beverages were coffee and hot tea. Anything else had to be purchased. Offering individual boxes of cereal and containers of milk would have provided a nice option and swould still be safe. And the breakfast dink ... they have two toasters for the bagels. But if both are used at the same time it trips the circuit and someone has to crawl under the table and reset it to use either."
"This is a very good hotel. The room is spacious with a desk and seating area, the bathroom is also a very good size. The beds are comfortable. The staff is polite and nice. I would give Hampton Inn five stars but I am disappointed with the breakfast. Because of coronavirus the hotel makes ready to go packages for the guests. The package contains muffins, a cookie, and a bottle of water. You can also take mandarins, cereal and milk. The breakfast was exactly the same every day. no varieties. Last two days of our stay there was no yogurt. I believe breakfast could be better and should vary from day to day. Also the number of towels should be equal or more than the number of guests in the room, the guests should not have to ask for more towels. Everything else was fine."
