"In the middle of the law, private beach, room service, breakfast, location, health, resort projects, can be, the most convenient to drive, that is, the bill has to be seen clearly, and pay more attention to it."

"We have been going to Siesta Key Beach for many years and this is by far the BEST place we have ever stayed!! The resort is beautiful and the condos are stunning. Every detail in the condo was perfect. The condo had beautiful bedrooms, bathrooms and the kitchen is truly a designer kitchen with top of the line appliances. The pool area and beach are beautiful. This resort is the only one on the beach with a cabana bar. We enjoyed being able to order a cool beverage and light lunch. From the minute we checked in we were pampered! The fitness center had everything needed for a great workout. There's no need to hurry down to the beach to reserve chairs-the beach attendant takes care of everything. Plenty of chairs, umbrellas and sand toys for the kids. A perfect vacation. We will be back!"
"This was an amazing find. Super clean, great views, and an incredibly helpful staff. Every person was super helpful and kind throughout our stay. The room was gorgeous, clean, and modern. Unfortunately our air conditioning did not work so we were moved to another room during the trip. The manager was very helpful, accommodating, and professional in helping us. Cannot wait until our next trip to siesta key and we will definitely be staying here. "
"We stayed in a 3 bedroom Gulf view on the 5th floor and it was absolutely stunning! Very spacious, clean, and beautifully furnished. Beautiful property overall and great location. Great amenities. We went in mid-January and the resort was very quiet and not too busy whether hanging out at the pool or on the beach. Highly recommend. We plan on returning!!"

5325 Marina Drive, Holmes Beach, Florida, United States
"The room we had was setup and appointed nicely. 2 bedrooms on each side with common space in the middle. It appears to be a fairly new property and is in pretty good shape. The staff from at the front desk that we interfaced with were very courteous, but seemed to end there. I have 9 years and 900 nights at Marriott properties alone and know a well run property when I see it. I dont believe this one is. Being Titanium Elite, I requested a room upgrade. Knowing the rooms were all pretty much the same, except for the location or view, I thought that was a modest request. At check-in, they said they couldn't upgrade my room at all, except for a $75 per night fee. We decided to stay in the room they gave us, which as another reviewer noted, is more like an apartment complex versus a resort. One side faced the parking lot, the other side faced an adjacent business only a few feet away. There isn't much about this property to call it a resort in our opinions. We stayed 5 nights total. Upon check-in we were also informed that the restaurant was closed in the mornings except for Sunday brunch. They attempt to make up for this with a bag containing some orange juice, yogurt, apple, and stale-packaged croissant. Better than nothing I suppose, but a hot breakfast would have been nice. Night time staff and hotel security seems non existent as there was a very loud party until 5 am one night. Hotel was notified via message but didn’t respond until later that morning. Actually, they didn't respond to me at all, I heard a couple of the staff speaking about it mid-morning in the lobby so I mentioned that I was next door. They informed me that they received several other complaints and would go speak to the people in that room. Kinda late, as it was going on 11AM. They offered 1000 bonus points for my trouble. LOL, about an $8 value. I saw a familiar face later, she appeared to be a manager, and she recognized me and said the same thing. I replied saying that a refund of one nights points would make it right, and she agreed. Well, my stay posted already, but I haven't seen anything else from this. To make things worse, the same loud group and another loud group on the other side of our unit were up until 3AM the following night. We didn’t bother contacting hotel again since little response the prior night. Obviously they didn't learn anything from the prior nights complaints. Much noise could be heard outside and inside out unit. Almost finished, Housekeeping did not replenish empty toilet paper two days in a row, we had to call down to desk when we got back to room. Trash left right beside door when we arrived back to room after a long day out. It was moved about 15 ft overnight, right next to elevator and was there in the morning when we got up. Faucet water temperature fluctuates frequently between hot and cold. Hot water was coming out of cold side periodically and vice versa. Business center is advertised on their websit"
"We arrived around midnight, Giselle was so welcoming and thorough to get our check in quickly. Next day she gave us so much information around island. We travel a lot and I have to say she is one of the best front office supervisor. She also was able accommodate us with other needs for our friends who were arriving could hours later. She truly set our mood for our family vacation. Next day Matthew was very helpful with all our need, friendly and professional. This hotel has everything what you need in room. Clean, modern furniture, very very comfortable bed. Nothing to complain at all. Thank you very much to all staff. I will definitely come back and would strongly recommend this place to others."
"Great hotel if you need a lot of space. All of the rooms are actually suites with two bedrooms, a living room balcony and full kitchen. The room we stayed in was clean, well furnished and comfortable. It was nice to have a fridge, stove, and washer dryer. There were several limitations with the property overall. The restaurant is closed - the pool is not heated (water was like ice), no housekeeping (but you can call front desk if you need anything). The front desk is only staffed from 9am - 6pm, and they lock the property doors from 10pm to 9am. This was a problem as we went out early each morning to watch the sunrise, then when coming back to the property someone had to go in the side door, up the stairwell flight of stairs, come back around inside to let everyone else in. I understand locking the door at night, but should be open in the AM much earlier than 9am."

220 Sands Point Road, Longboat Key, Florida, United States
"Excellent beautiful gem in Florida’s Gulf coast. The facilities of this resort are fabulous. The golf courses are pristine . A tennis center. Everything you can request from a resort. The beach is great and very well managed and staffed. We had breakfast at the outside restaurant the three days we were there, and it was excellent and well serviced. Our one bedroom suite was excellent, recently renovated. The resort is very well staffed. During our stay the resort was not to full capacity as they are renovating some of the buildings. Hopefully the resort stays well serviced at full capacity. The only thing we need to mention is that the A/C in the room was somewhat unstable. It took a long time to get to the cool temp you desired. And hopefully they put the second elevator in building 2 in operation soon. We saw people working on it during our stay. Definitely when we go back to Longboat Key, the resort will be our first choice."
"Enjoyed a really great weekend on the beach at LBKC, made possible by the club staff members. Zach set us up on both Sat/Sun and checked back with us several times to make adjustments etc. - he was a huge help and a pleasure to speak with as well, which is especially appreciated in the current environment. Also, Jane was informative and gracious as always, and checked in on us several times as well. Again, an excellent couple of days - thank you!!"
"Excellent service by Jane and Zack. They set up chairs and umbrellas and are very friendly Great location, water is beautiful, lots of dolphin sightings. 6900 Gulf Dr, Holmes Beach, Florida, United States
"Nice sea-side hotel — perhaps a former motel in the midst of being reimagined and renovated. Side rooms have been redesigned and are lovely. Rooms facing the Gulf have not yet been renovated, so still have the retro feel, yet gorgeous view. Staff is super accommodating and kind. We stayed in Room 39, which we liked, although a loud pump or air conditioning unit above us was quite present; it kind of became background noise after a while. A major suggestion I have for the hotel — and all area tourist destinations — is to be as eco-friendly as possible. Many visitors seek to vacation as sustainably as possible, as more and more people become aware of their individual or collective carbon footprint (admittedly just driving or flying somewhere doesn’t help). While we can’t be perfect, we can’t do it alone, and tourist destinations can be a powerful ally in sustainability and keeping their area beauty clean and safe — it’s in their interest, after all, and makes them look good. When I asked where to recycle, nobody knew. There wasn’t any recycling there on site and they didn’t know where on Anna Maria Island one could do it. So, a simple addition to the welcome brochure in the rooms — or possibly a handout “Enjoying Beautiful Anna Maria Island Sustainably” once you check in. Explain where/what to recycle if not on the property. How about reusable metal water bottles and/or cotton tote bags with the Bali Hai logo on them? Given free at check-in or for sale for a low price. It would give the hotel extra publicity and build the eco-chic flair of the business. Instead of constantly using loud, gas-blowers on the walkways (which blow toxic particulate matter and exhaust all over), why not try a broom or electric gas blower? Instead of plastic straws, how about paper? It is becoming more and more chic to be Earth friendly, and many people like to know that the money they are spending doesn’t go partly toward unsustainable practices. Perhaps you could glean some helpful hints from other eco-minded hotels, or consult with the local sustainability committee? Some of these organizations might even be able to collaborate with you. There may even be tax incentives or a spotlight article in the newspaper (which would bring extra healthy publicity) for your initiatives. Thank you for the notice on being green concerning used towels. It is a start. Overall an excellent (albeit slightly expensive) place to stay. They are missing an opportunity though by not incorporating some very helpful, easy green ideas. We actually came because a member of our family needed cancer treatment nearby, so a nice place to recover. "
"Bali Hai is a beachside hotel that advertises as a fully renovated and rejuvenated, modernized property- but severely mis represents itself, as some of the most high dollar, beach facing rooms have yet to be renovated, and that is conveniently not mentioned (until you are charged $600 for one night and have to check into a room resembling a Howard Johnson with no forewarning or recourse). While the view softened the blow of how outdated (and dirty) the room was, unfortunately the customer service myself and my friend experienced while on the property of the Bali Hai hotel left us astonished and in awe of the fact that we had been charged SO much money for our stay. Not one employee appeared to be over the age of 21 years old, and if they were, they certainly did not act like it. We purchased Ice cream at the front desk and asked for spoons, only to be told they didn’t have any, why sell food when you have no utensils to offer your guests? We had to call the front desk to get a wifi password, and waited on hold for 15 minutes, we went into the bar to get a drink and waited unattended for gaps of time for the bartender to return. At check in, we specifically asked what time check out was, as the email specified 10am, and we were verbally told we could check out at 1pm the next day. At 10:30am the next morning, someone knocked on our door and said checkout was at 10am (which we would have been fine with, had the front desk not negated this information the day before and told us 1pm). We quickly rushed to grab our things and went to check out. We were met with a crabby, disgruntled employee who mockingly asked us ‘how was everything’- the second we started to vocalize our discontent (with the room, and the sub par service we had received)- the employee dismissed us, pulled the key from our hand and turned her back to us. Ive experienced more polished customer service in a 7-11. We asked to speak to a manager as this behavior left us (two professionals trying to have a relaxing girls weekend away from our busy careers and families), completely astonished, the manager was not on property but called us (an hour and a half later) and had worse of an attitude than the employee, not to mention completely defended the behavior of the employee. The manager even said that she pulled security footage and saw that we checked out late- which felt like a massive invasion of privacy. My recommendation to Bali Hai- if you want to market yourselves as a modernized, zen oasis on the beach, you should finish your renovations, or at least make it clear that some rooms are FAR from renovated, and hire a staff that can uphold these forward thinking values and put a real emphasis on customer service. There was also absolutely no recycling on property which was unacceptable from a hotel trying to portray itself as modern."
"Me and my husband of 10 years had the most amazing time at The Bali Hai. We made our reservation months prior with Andrea, who was super sweet and helpful. When we arrived there was a bottle of wine and lovely card wishing us a Happy Anniversary. I cant believe she remembered! A little gesture like that goes a long way. The next day we were able to thank her and she recommended one of our now favorite restaurants on Anna Maria Island. This trip was hands down the best! Everyone was friendly, the beach was so calm and relaxing and the room was gorgeous! We had such a great time. I just want to thank Andrea and all the staff at Bali Hai for making this trip so special!"

"This is my second stay at the Sarasota Westin. I stayed for 9 days in the month of January 2020 and am presently halfway through my second stay of 7 nights in March 2020. What I appreciate the most about the Westin Hotel is the beautiful scent as one walks through the doors and the atmosphere of calmness and tranquility. The front door opens and as one enters one immediately senses that vacation has begun. Front desk personnel are happy, smiling and very attentive to each guest treating you as a special individual and addressing all your needs and questions. I particularly mention Maria Andersen at the front desk who has especially gone out of her way to make my stay memorable and incredible. My requests for additional hangers in my closet and the need for more towels were addressed promptly and with the same care as if I was a member of her family. Questions about airport transportation were answered with accuracy and specificity. She is a rare find and her pleasant personality makes staying at the Westin a true pleasure. My reservations on both occasions were handled with excellence by front desk manager Kendall Stone and she took time to place me in a beautiful room on both occasions. Meals at the hotel restaraunt Epoq were excellent with the onion soup, avocado salad, the impossible burger, and the beef tenderloin just to mention a few items. Breakfast is excellent at the Westin with an excellent buffet or individual selections. I particularly loved the eggs Benedict with a side of fresh fruit. If you are fortunate enough to have your server be Gina, Rose, or Mary then your breakfast experience will be even more pleasant due to their excellent attentiveness and service and their pleasant personalities. The Westin shuttle driven by very kind individuals especially Elder and Glenn is an added bonus to ones stay providing trips to the beach, St. Armand's circle, Main Street Sarasota and various places within a 3 mile radius. My review would not be complete without mention of the 19th floor pool and poolside bar with amazing views of Sarasota, incredible sunset views and excellent drinks. Staying at Westin Sarasota will truly be an incredible experience."
"This should be a 4 star hotel but the customer service has been horrific. We checked in to find hair in the sink and fresh pee on the toilet. They offered us $50 resort credit - fine. But the lack of surprise or concern, in the middle of the corona virus outbreak was alarming. The second day we got new towels but the beds weren’t made. The gentleman at the front desk responded with”did you leave something on the bed?” We did not. Once again as Marriott platinum elite members, I continue to be unimpressed with the Westin brand across the country. Then we had a travel alert on our credit card. They immediately turned off our keys so my family sat in the hallway while I went down to square up our bill and get new keys. We went to dinner and came back to our keys turned off again! After not having made any charges at the hotel since settling up with them just hours before. The new manager on duty said he was trying to figure out our account - so he turned off our keys. The attitude I was given was palpable, and was smugly told “you’d be surprised.” Meanwhile once again my family is sitting on the hallway floor outside our room at 9:30 pm. I’ve never been treated with such disdain by hotel staff, and I’ve never had our keys turned off so immediately - and twice in one day - when we are fully paid up. Incredibly disappointing to say the least. On a positive note, we have enjoyed the shuttle driver Glen. He has been a bright spot in our stay. But we will not return to this hotel."
"My wife and I were in Fort Myers to watch our son play college baseball and drove an hour north from the fields to specifically stay once again at the Westin Sarasota. We were greeted at check-in by Maria who was absolutely wonderful, welcoming and helpful in getting us the best available room. We had a great weekend and loved the rooftop restaurant and bar, the only complaint from me would be the $30 a night valet fee. I then had a reservation at a neighboring hotel (that was recommended by a friend) after 1 night I decided to come back to the Westin where I was recognized and warmly greeted once again by Maria! She is a true asset to the company and a fantastic representative of the hotel! -Mark D 1404"

"Located in the Lido Bay of Sarasota, the hotel is close to the island's shopping and leisure area and has a beautiful environment. It is about 10 minutes drive from downtown. The hotel has a private beach, because there is red algae pollution during this time, there is no sea. Before the stay, the hotel will remind you to confirm whether you want to stay. The room has a large fridge and simple kitchenware, a microwave and a dishwasher, perfect for cooking."

1255 North Palm Avenue, Sarasota, Florida, United States
"Firstly, the hotel is conveniently located to all things in the downtown area of Sarasota. The hotel is a lovely space filled with art work. However, unfortunately we had 4 nights of very disturbed sleep. We could hear the television in the room beside us - I am assuming their television is mounted on the wall that our bed was against. We were awakened by loud snoring from the same room on 2 different nights - different guests. The very loud group on Saturday and Sunday evening was a wedding party. We called the front desk twice that night. I may be a light sleeper but my husband is not and he was awoken by the snoring and partying. The hotel manager (Egemen) was empathetic and we did receive a credit for 1 night but the hotel was full and there was no where to move us - which would not necessarily have solved anything. We did appreciate his sincere apologies and desire to make things better. This is a structural problem. The walls are too thin or not properly insulated. You cannot force another guest from their room for loud snoring so calling the front desk would not have served any purpose. So in the end we were disappointed. We did have 3 nights without all those disturbances but half our stay did not include a good night’s sleep. We chose the hotel for the reviews and a description of ‘exceptional.” I would not call it that if you can’t sleep soundly. Also, the on site restaurant is very understaffed. The lovely staff and hostess did their best but there simply was not enough staff to get tables cleared to then seat more guests and get orders into the kitchen in a timely manner. The food was very good but it was too long an investment of time and not because the existing staff weren’t working their hardest. Although the hotel was a lovely space and the staff friendly and helpful, I would not recommend the hotel without a serious warning about the lack of sound proofing. You could get lucky and not have “loud” people beside you but I would not take that chance again. We had read a couple reviews which did note the lack of quiet and we should have paid better attention to those reviews. Bikes are available at the hotel. There are 4 bikes and they are bikes you would pass by at a garage sale or flea market. They should have been replaced years ago. That seems like a cheap enough fix. Apparently new bikes are on order but why they wouldn’t have been prepared for tourists at a busy time of year is not understandable. We had headed out on the clunkers but had to return because one of the bikes had a bent fender and a near flat tire. We laughed that locks were provided....I don’t think there was any risk of these bikes being stolen."
"Checked in on Monday which we found out later is the slowest day for this hotel. I don't doubt that since we experienced very little service. The hotel itself is beautiful and the rooms are large and very clean. In fact upon check-in our room door had a sanitation guarantee sticker and this gave us peace of mind during these times. Upon arrival we saw no valet service, Front Desk rep seemed to be new since he couldn't answer many of our questions. When we visited the pool the young lady at the pool bar couldn't suggest any drinks. Just said she had a mango frozen drink. She handed over the QR code for us to look at the menu and when we tried to order items from it she said it wasn't available. But all this was on arrival day. The next day the service was completely different! The Front Desk was helpful, informative, friendly, etc, we saw there was in fact valet service and the gentleman at the pool bar was AMAZING!! This hotel provides you with beach towels, beach chairs and even a cooler. Starting in November they will have transportation service to the beach as well! I will definitely give this hotel another chance!"
"Beautiful hotel with impressive service and great decor - art themes were appreciated throughout the property. The roof top level was also something we enjoyed - had a first-rate bartender... kudos to Sinbad! He was hilarious and made us feel right at home and set-up a great atmosphere upfront. Made even better drinks. Will return for sure!"

2000 Gulf Drive North, Bradenton Beach, Florida, United States
"This little inn on Anna Maria Island was exactly what we were looking for. It isn't new and shiny, and our bungalow was small and quaint, but we knew that from reading the description and reviews. It was perfect for what we wanted on this vacation - on the beach, quiet and smaller. (Sometimes we love a luxurious, splashy resort, and other times we like more casual and understated; Bungalow Beach Resort is definitely the latter, and it was just right!) We stayed in 103-Coconut which has a porch that looks out toward the ocean. We were only a few steps further away from the beach than the four units that beachfront. The unit was somewhat dated, but true to pictures on their website, so no surprises. It was clean and comfortable. We had no issues with noise at all. The location is the biggest draw, and it can't be beat! The beach here is beautiful, with wonderfully soft sand; some areas of the beach further down would get crowded, especially over the weekend, but the area in front of the resort seemed less congested. The lounge chairs facing the ocean are great, and we spent a few hours each day there. The pool is tiny, but we came for the ocean, so that didn't bother us. The beach stretches for miles in either direction, and we walked on it every day to breakfast - one option on the beach and several others a little further in town. We were supposed to have our sheets changed on day 3, but during our 5 night stay, this never happened. Not a big deal, but if that's the policy, it should have been done. There were a few things in the bungalow that were brought to management's attention - broken bathroom fan and burned out light bulb - that should have been taken care of but weren't. Minor things, but had they been done, I definitely would have given a fifth star. If you want a low key and relaxing place to stay on your vacation, this is a wonderful spot, and I highly recommend it!"
"Best kept secret. In an era where beach vacations are hotel rooms and 10 story condos , this place provides the charm and escape that you've been looking for. My husband and I felt like we were worlds away despite just a short flight from philly. As if the sunset views and sand at your doorstep arent enough , the location is prime - walking distance from many restaurants and on the free trolley path. Book and you wont regret it !! Just fyi , the pool is small "
"I really enjoyed the hospitality. the staff were super. This is an older place with lots of charm. The room was very clean as was the property. Beautiful beach!!! The property was a tropical setting with fire pit and grills. They provide lawn chairs on the beach nice gesture"
