I booked and had card preauthorize to cover for a single night tariff for Dec 27. Upon arrival at this motel I was informed by the owner/ proprietor that, since I emanated from Greater Sydney, the room could not be offered to me. This was the policy of this particular business and they can operate how it pleases them. However, travel within NSW for residents outside the Northern Beaches and Penrith was not restricted by the NSW Government So I was free to seek accommodation in a regional town and made the booking in good faith. Since no mentioned was made about the restrictions placed on Sydney residents by this particular motel on Trip.com. I was caught unawares and left stranded. So there appears to have been a breakdown in communication between this particular premises and the booking agent (Trip.com)
