"Breakfast is so-so, I don’t know if I can add an extra bed, I can bring children! The best thing about the hotel is its good location, the so-called city center with free parking! In terms of cost performance, it is still very good, but I really want to find a real five-star hotel in China."
"The hotel is very good and convenient, it should be the best hotel in the area."

"Decided to get away for a few days and take a break from life. We chose this hotel because of the large suites and perfect location. From the moment we entered the lobby we could tell the staff here is taking the necessary precautions to make sure everything is clean. From the lobby to the hallways and especially the rooms. Not only can you see how important cleanliness is to this staff we also saw the hotel staff constantly sanitizing and wearing masks to keep everyone safe! Thank you very much for maintaining a clean hotel and also making me and my family feel at home!! These pictures are just a little glimpse into the effort and pride this staff takes in this hotel!"
"Have some very serious regrets about bypassing the Hilton Homewood brand in favor of regular Hilton hotels and Hampton Inns although these two are just as comfortable and well designed, the Homewood brand definitely delivers on their home-away-from-home promises. This location has all the kitchen appliances (not in miniatures), stove, stove top, big fat microwave oven, and a full size fridge (did I miss something? Complete set of dishware and kitchen tools including oven mitts. Just BYOB and some grub and you'll feel right at home. "
"The stay at this hotel was really good. Starting off with breakfast. The ladies who serve breakfast were very nice and accommodating. The evening service was a huge bonus and was such a good time. The rooms are very spacious. The gym was manageable. And overall I love this place and if I was ever in the area again I would stay here again. And at the front desk Ron was incredible."

"My family and i. Rented 2 rooms. Friday 18 and checked out sunday sep 20th. The rooms were clean cozy. Anthony at the reception desk. Was phenomenal. Attentive. Helpful ,friendly and polite. It only a 10 or 15 minute drive to virginia beach. Free parking across the street. The only con i would have is the pillows where thin and uncomfortable "
"Our stay was not bad but not as nice as our previous stay a few years ago. I'll begin with the good. The hotel, for us, was in a great location. Several restaurants are in within a 2 block radius. Tupelo Honey(great southern cuisine), Einstein Bagels, Shake Shack, Cheese Cake Factory, Bahama Breeze and Ruth Chris Steak House. Five Below, Ulta, Bed Bath and Beyond are across the street. There is also a mall across the street as well. Virginia Beach is about a 10 to 15 minute drive which was fine for us. The few bad things were the hotel seemed to go down a bit. The outside trash was overflowing and we had to alert front desk twice. The front desk receptionist were not as welcoming as the last time aside from Aja who was great! She gave us several great recommendations. We understood that the pool and restaurant was not open due to covid, so that was fine. The rooms were not bad and were spacious enough. Beds were comfortable also. I would just suggest better customer service from front desk and staying on top of hotel appearance. We still enjoyed our stay immensely!"
"I often look at trip advisor to see how service was and how well they treated their honors members. Since if I'm going to be loyal to Hilton, I may as well stay at one that seems to appreciate they're honors members. When I checked in, I wasn't recognized for my status as a diamond member. I was just told they couldn't upgrade me despite there being 4 different room upgraded room types available for me to purchase online, which is their choice. I heard them turning a couple of other people down, saying they hoped to fill the rooms, though at the end of the night, there were still 3 room type upgrades available online. They didn't explain breakfast/that there was no breakfast until I showed up for breakfast, or anything else. I just gave me my key and water and said my room number and where the elevator was. As far as the hotel goes, if you're not primarily here for the beach, it's in a great location downtown close to lots of food/coffee and shopping the rooms were clean though this hotel does not have the Lysol stickers that most Hiltons do in the season of COVID."

"I just want to say, this hotel gets a 10/10 for cleanliness. Their was hardly any dirt or dust anywhere in the entire hotel. Hand sanitizer stations at nearly every floor and at every entrance. The room itself smelled like Lysol and other cleaning products which made me feel insanely COMFORTABLE. Each room had a special sticker on the door that when you opened the door, broke the seal of the sticker letting you know the last people in the room were the cleaning crew. The room was SPOTLESS and immaculate. The door was sealed extremely well and almost no air from the hallway could get underneath the door into your room. The remotes were wrapped in plastic, and there were complimentary sanitizing napkins on the coffee table. We stayed in a King Suite with a corner river view. The view was so beautiful I could cry. The A/C kept us cold when needed, and quickly warmed us up when the temperature dropped. The staff was extra friendly! Very attentive and quick. Every staff member greeted us and treated us like family almost. We had dinner brought up to our room from “Saltine”. Which is a fabulous restaurant on the first floor of the hotel. The service was 10/10. Our meals were absolutely divine! The only 2 cons were that there was no microwave, and the parking garage is not owned by the hotel. So if you need a parking receipt for tax purposes, you’d have to walk to the City of Norfolk transportation (?) building about a block away to obtain a receipt. Overall, I give this hotel a 10/10. I did not want to leave. I will be staying here again soon, and likely every time I visit the area!"
"I recently stayed at the The Main from October 16th to November 1st for work. The Hotel is back to being what you’d expect from a Hilton. The front desk was exceptionally, especially Tamika the manager and Jasmine! I called after I had checked out to get an itemized bill for my business and they stayed on the phone for an hour helping me out. As for the actual stay, room service is back up and running from the Saltine downstairs, which is “salty”, so if you have high blood pressure tell them to hold the salt! Otherwise the food was delicious! The hotel was clean, and hand sanitizer at the front desk and by the elevators. Due to the pandemic when I needed towels, coffee, tea or even a new Keurig maker, the front desk was on top of it. I declined any cleaning services because of COVID and that works for me. You can just put things in a bag outside your door and call the front desk. Yes the parking is expensive and yes the lobby is on the second floor while the elevators are on the third, it’s still a solid hotel with room service and a great view! Right next to the interstate so you can head off! Will be staying here again! Thanks Jasmine!!"
"Christopher Kern was my waiter/Bartender tonight. First off let me say his wine knowledge and menu expertise was immaculate. From the first time he touched the table I was so impressed with Christopher’s ability to guide us through the menu and help assist me with my menu and wine selections for the evening. I wish there were more professional servers in this industry like Chris. I eat out 3 times a week and I am a certified sommelier and I have never experienced impeccable service and an experience like this before. I will recommend Chris to anyone and everyone I know. He makes the restaurant exceptional and I cannot wait to come back. Hats off and congratulations for a job well done Chris. Thanks for making this a night I will always remember. Christopher Kern is amazing and the best waiter:bartender at grain In Norfolk."

777 Waterside Drive, Norfolk, Virginia, United States
"Visited the Sheraton recently on a business trip. The valet and check-in at lobby were very pleasant and all staff were friendly and helpful! The room was in great condition and had a beautiful view. We had made reservations for a group at the waterside restaurant within the hotel. Its a beautiful restaurant. Unfortunately is not adequately staffed. Our waiter tried his best, but service was extremely slow. They even were out of menus until other tables ordered (And I swear to you the restaurant was only sat at 50% capacity). It was clear the management just isnt prepared and adequately staffed for a normal restaurant crowd. The bartender was not friendly at all. Food was ok. Breakfast buffet and a la carte service was much better than the evening before. The fitness center was outstanding. The hotel itself is beautiful and all staff were so friendly. The valet...made the best impression. Both checking in and out. They were super friendly and helpful with all our luggage. I would stay again, but probably plan to eat dinner at another location."
"I moved from Va in 2007 and stay at this hotel everytime I return home. After this stay, I will not be returning to this hotel. I came here to bury my dad and just wanted a clean and quiet place to lay down at night. Night 1: we get in our room and noticed that there were black and brown stains on the white shams and bed skirt. We decided to just sleep in the other bed for the night. When we got in the other bed there were RED stains on the white blanket. I immediately called downstairs and the clerk say "that's gross! We can move you to another room" That was the last thing we wanted bc we had to now pack up and move a family of 4. We get to the other room and notice dirty bed skirts AGAIN, but sucked it up bc it was after midnight at this time. The next day when we woke up (and could see cleary) we spotted trash and dead roaches beside the bed. I immediately went downstairs to complain! The manager, Ryan, with a nasty attitude (like it was my fault), offered to move me into a THIRD room and comp 1/2 of ONE night and refund my parking. Which IMO was nowhere near my troubles. As of today, not only did Ryan NOT do what he promised, but I was charged approximately $20 MORE than my full price amount!! I will never return to a Marriott/Sherton hotel."
"We greatly enjoyed our stay this weekend. The location was perfect to walk to restaurants and museums, the room was clean, the gym is decent, and the food was good, but we were most impressed by the staff. They were all very friendly and helpful, from the people who checked us in to the housekeeping staff, to the wait staff, and managers. We will definitely return."

201 Granby Street, Norfolk, Virginia, United States
"On the corner of Granby and City Hall, the Glass Light restaurant is in the lobby of the Marriott Glass Light Hotel. It's a small, sleek place featuring cool glass art pieces, including a huge rabbit at the bar! I enjoyed brunch and had the salmon tartine from the small plate menu and the crab cake benedict from the main menu. The salmon was great and came on toast with cream cheese and was topped with avocado, hard boiled egg shavings, and pickled shallots. As tasty as the salmon was, the highlight of the meal was the crab cake benedict, which included a side of greens and a hashbrown patty. The eggs were poached perfectly and were still warm, which I loved compared to poached eggs placed in an ice bath to stop the cooking. The very tasty hollandaise topped the crab cake and eggs into excellent bites. The biggest surprise for me was the hashbrown patty... I normally steer away from these as, beyond the crispy exterior, I normally find hashbrowns to be mushy and flavorless inside, but not the hashbrowns here! The crispy exterior was paired nicely with appropriately seasoned, softer, and flavorful potatoes on the inside. Again, a great surprise for me. Overall, brunch at the Glass Light was an outstanding experience in a convenient and welcome addition to the Granby foodie scene. My server, Marissa, was attentive and friendly... ask for her! I'll definitely be back soon to try the dinner offerings!"
"This hotel is beautiful, clean, and located perfectly downtown. Moe’s is a quick walk next door. Starbucks is a block up. The Nauticus Museum and USS Wisconsin exhibit is just a short walk along with all kinds of restaurants and markets, Nick checked us in and he was the nicest! The rooms are pretty fancy shmancy but comfortable. We were on the 7th floor. Our view wasn’t great but who cares. We didn’t spend our time looking out the windows but when we did, we just waved to the people across the street in their nice apartments. We spent some time in the restaurant area after hours enjoying some cocktails. Their Tim Collins cocktail is good! We ordered room service once. Just desserts. Yes, It came quickly. Yes, it was expensive. ~$40 for two petit but gourmet desserts. They kept bottles of water stocked in the fridges in the common area on our floor. That came in super handy. We opted out of housekeeping services our first full day there with our do not disturb sign on the door. However, we removed it the second morning on our way out but came back to our room just how we left it. No big deal. Not sure if they have scaled back on housekeeping services during COVID but it’s possible I missed that communication. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay here and will likely choose to stay here again whenever in town. "
"The heart of historic Norfolk. We were welcomed very warmly by Valentina at check-in. After a pleasant and very efficient arrival, we were happy to find our room impeccably clean, and well appointed. I especially appreciated the creative design elements and upgraded in-room coffee offering (Illy brand). The hotel was ideally located in downtown Norfolk, perfect for tourists like us, who were checking out the city for the first time. Everything was within walking distance (light rail, waterfront, shopping, dining). While on property, everyone we came in contact with was always smiling, and willing to assist with anything we may need. Upon departure, the lady at the desk was so nice! I am so annoyed I completely forgot her name, but she was awesome. She wished us well, asked if we enjoyed our stay, and welcomed us back in the future, a really nice touch! You can tell the staff really cares. The city has several other “standard” style hotels nearby, but if you want a genuine and uniquely luxurious experience, I would highly recommend choosing the Glass Light."
