This is both an evaluation of Chengdu Songpin Hotel and a comparison post of the three major luxury hotels in Chengdu. The location is super and the service is excellent. My two girls and I had a wonderful stay at Niccolo ChengDu for 3 nights. The staff is really very helpful and warm, we will definitely come to stay again.

Location is considered far away from the usual tourist spots that are located in the old town area. If one is not intended to travel to old town area (like us), then location is ok as it's just located next to a shopping mall with restaurants and spa shop. Service is fantastic especially we stayed at 6 different hotels during our 10 days trip. The contrast is obvious. If you are lucky like us, you will get to the LED show on the local twin tower which is an added entertainment bit. Breakfast spread is ok, taste wise average and service seems slow a bit. I got to admit I regreted to pay for breakfast of an additional guest.

The room was upgraded and we were contacted in advance to see if we were concerned about the hustle and bustle of the narrow alley during the day. When we checked in, we met Master Wang from Leshan.
