"The location is right off the highway. It's within walking distance to the bus stop and within driving distance to a large mall and restaurants. It was very convenient. The lobby wasn't clearly labeled but it was the first building when you enter the parking lot. All the buildings look the same. Parking felt limited but I had no issues getting a spot close to my building. I felt very safe in this area. I was able to check-in early. I think it was about noon. The front desk person was very kind and got me in quickly. They assigned me to a 2nd floor room overlooking the pool, which was closed due to the coronavirus. The fitness room was closed, also. My room was clean. The full kitchen had everything plus coffee and popcorn. The bathroom had shampoo, conditioner, and bar soap. There was a lot of square footage and closet space. The king bed was comfortable with nice pillows. Heat & AC worked perfectly. Lighting was good. They also have the local paper and the Wall Street Journal every day. Breakfast was a to-go bag. There was a small muffin, an orange, packaged boiled eggs, and a small granola bar. Check-out was at noon."
"I stayed at this property a few nights with family during a recent road trip. We have stayed in Residence Inn's before primarily because of the huge rooms with separate bedrooms and full kitchens. These are great for families and this type of space is virtually unheard of at other competing chains. This Residence Inn was perfectly located, easy to get to, and very close to the mall and other shopping, groceries, and food options. This property, however, is in need of a refurbishment and it appeared to be in the process of being updated. Our suite was very well used but serviceable. The refrigerator was not cold and while this wasn't a big issue during this trip, did limit our ability to keep a few items we did bring and any leftovers from meals. There were also a few items missing from the kitchen that are typically present at other Residence Inn's. A cold breakfast in a to go bag was provided which was a nice gesture however at this point not sure why Marriott properties haven't transitioned back to offering more items and a hot breakfast. We stayed at other establishments during this road trip which did provide hot breakfasts. Visitors should be aware the property is very close to the interstate and the road noise is obvious however in the room it was covered up by the sound of the fan. Overall the value for the space was great and once this property is refurbished it will be a great place to stay."
"I'm a Marriott guy, nearly 950 nights there so this old school Res Inn design of detached buildings consisting of 4-8 units doesn't bother me at all, actually kind of like them. This hotel seems pretty clean and close to many things but also a major roadway. The lobby "Market" was very poorly stocked so don't depend on picking up an item of interest there. Also be advised the breakfast is closed at 9am and the staff descends on the buffet at 8:50am to eat the remaining food while other staff takes the rest of it away, starting with the utensils. The bacon was nice and crispy though! I was put in the closest room to the road/freeway and for me it wasn't a deal killer but my biz partner would have lost his mind. The road did wake me up in the morning. One of the best perks to a Res Inn is the microwave popcorn, of course this Res Inn didn't have that. This hotel is pretty average for hotels, maybe a touch under that for Res Inns. I'd stay here again if needed but I'll look around first."

"New modern hotel. As a Marriott Titanium Elite (supposed to get an upgrade) I was given a standard 2nd floor room eye level to the cars on the adjacent very close highway. Had to go back downstairs and get a room on a higher floor facing the shopping center parking lot. In a hotel like this, I wasn't expecting a suite, but I also thought I wouldn't get one of the worst rooms. since they were not sold out. Second room was ok, clean no thrills. On three separate occasions there was No Hot Water for about 5 minutes each time. Not sure how a new hotel can be designed like that. Lobby booths with TV were a nice touch, but on both evenings they were not cleaned & had left over garbage in them. Limited food service & times. I think I came downstairs a little after 10am & they had no food service. I was offered "some left in the pot." The good news is there is a Starbucks & other food places across the parking lot. Better breakfast at Vitality Bowls also in the same parking lot. This is a first world problem & a minor annoyance- but as a Titanium Elite I am entitled to two $10 credits per day. They couldn't put the credits on my account to use against incidentals (like other hotels do) & they didn't have actual paper vouchers (again like other hotels). They told me when I made a purchase to just tell the front desk. So I went to buy water on the way out they told me I had to use the whole credit for each day at once time. So I had to buy $20 in water and snacks all at once. It really wasn't worth the effort. The hotel is close to area colleges. All in all, If you don't expect much, and you can get a room not facing the highway, its not a bad choice for a basic stay."
"This Courtyard is centrally located and is a great place to stay. It's a new hotel and the rooms are very modern and clean. The gym is better than most hotel gyms and even has a spin bike. What makes this hotel great are the employees. From the front desk staff to the Bistro team, everyone is so friendly and works hard to provide excellent service. And the Bistro food is really, really good. The chicken pot pie is outstanding! This is my fifth stay at this hotel and will always stay here when I'm in the Lou! The only problem is that this hotel sells out frequently, which is a true testament to the hotel and staff quality."
"We find a hotel for NYE every year. So we chose this location because it was near Dillard’s and the sale was happening the next morning. My husband didn’t care for the night staff. The doors were already locked when we arrived and they looked at us hitting the intercom button a while before they thought to let us in. Other than that, i have no complaints about the hotel. Our room was what we expected. Hotel was quiet and we had a great evening."

"Wanted a weekend staycation and it was perfect. Great Friendly staff, shower was one of my favorite things about it, it was in a prime location. The only thing that Dayton rate five stars was the breakfast, with the pandemic we understand the Buffay not being available, but the sack breakfast they provided was a banana and a banana muffin, no drinks, cereal, nothing else. Other than that we really enjoyed ourselves."

"Compared with Chinese hotels, of course, all kinds of things are not used to it. The bed is very easy to hit the feet. There are no toiletries such as toothbrushes, but it is very emotional. The health environment is actually good. It is worth living once."

"We stayed at Home2Suites for three nights. We originally planned for two nights until our car was broken into in the hotel parking lot at 5am. We were notified that morning quickly after someone had reported it and Tonia was more than helpful, courteous, and professional. She went out of her way to help us contact the police and make sure we didn’t need anything. Because of the break in, we were forced to stay another night, unable to make the 5 hour trip home. We were reassured our second night would be comped by the hotel for what happened. In the meantime, we also received help cleaning the car and area from Adis who was great. Later that day, there were undercover cops who came to find more about what happened that night. We definitely felt left in the dark on what exactly happened to our car overnight in the parking lot and there was a lack of information given to us about what the hotel management found out from security footage. We were worried about our car all night as it sat in the parking lot again, this time without a window. We finally got it fixed on our own the following morning and proceeded to check - out. We asked for the bill and saw that we had been charged for all 3 nights, though we were told we would be comped for the second night because of what happened. We proceeded to inform the assistant manager that we were told we would get the second night back and she said that nobody ran that by management, they aren’t liable for anything that happens in the parking lot, and that she could not do that for us. We have stayed at the Home2Suites several times while in the St. Louis area but I do not think we will return. After what happened we no longer feel safe leaving our car in an unsecured parking lot and though we did have some help from a few friendly workers at the hotel, we definitely would have liked to have seen more sympathy and care from management."
"This hotel is really close to the highway and therefore to anywhere we wanted to go in St.Louis. We arrived at night and didn't even realize we could see the Arch from our room until the next morning. Such an added bonus! The staff is friendly and helpful...breakfast was tasty and rooms are clean as a whistle. Great option..I love the Home2 Suites!"
"Very friendly front desk and breakfast staff. Immaculately clean hotel room. Guests and staff were responsible with mask-wearing and social distancing. Pool was very clean and they used a reservation policy in order to keep the crowd at the pool to 10 or fewer people. Plenty of space to eat outdoors while maintaining social distance."

"I had the pleasure of staying at the Seven Gables Inn last month. This hotel has recently been remodeled and has managed to keep all of it's charm. It is quaint and comfortable, you feel as though you are staying in a European hotel. It is a great location as you are in Clayton which has lots of bars and restuarants and your about 15 minutes to downtown. They offer valet/self parking for $17 a day and you can come and go as you please. There is a wonderful patio out back. The staff is friendly and helpful, especially Kayla Evans the general manager. I had originally planned to stay three nights but cut my trip a day short due to Covid 19. I am looking forward to my next stay in September."
"I came to St. Louis to be with my Mom who had a stroke. I needed a hotel where I would feel comfortable, have room to work and relax, and most of all, feel taken care of. The Seven Gables Inn had a suite that was well appointed yet comfortable, clean and even had a large and beautifully done bathroom. Most important was the staff who are kind and go above and beyond to be friendly and helpful. I want to specially mention Laura at the front desk, Naomi who runs the food services and a very nice super tall man who brought us towels etc. If you are looking for a charming hotel punctuated by warmth and kindness, this is the place."
" Rate was $150 before taxes not including a parking fee of $17 before taxes; this fee was regardless of whether you used "valet" parking or self - park, in the small lot right across the street from the hotel. The room had NO dresser, a closet which contained a refrigerator, a coffee pot, two small open shelves, and two small rods for that held enough space for only 4 hung garments above the refrigerator. The bathroom had an electrified toilet with a heated seat and bidet function. The motor was continually running so we disabled it to avoid the sound of the running motor. The large mirror over the bathroom sink had a non working TV imbedded in it leaving us with about 1/3 of the viewing area of th mirror. They must have received many complaints about that so they include a free-standing "dressing" mirror so you can actually see for shaving/makeup/dressing purposes. The shower was nothing short of dangerous as its floor was terribly slippery. Apparently they were either complained to about this or had guests fall because they has safety bars all over each of the three sides of the shower. I asked the front desk for a rubber floor mat which they said they didn't have but gave me an extra shower towel for the floor of the shower. The breakfast was good and included in the room rate. Housekeeping neglected to replenish the coffee packets and cups used with the room's coffee pot. All in all a sad experience."

"The bed is big, you can sleep four people, the location is good, but there is no hall around, it is not convenient to drive, only the hotel hall, the price is the same as the outside, the room is OK, no toothbrush, no slippers."
"Very clean hotel and close to I70."
