Top 10 Burgoyne Hotels

Our first stay in Richmond and whilst the King's Head had it's faults we liked it and would return. The hotel could not be better located on the market place in the centre of Richmond, and building itself is a splendid mix of traditional with a more contemporary bar and restaurant area. Our room was a standard double which was clean, comfortable and well appointed. Any failings could be put down to the historic nature of the building, and therefore forgiven. Service for breakfast was on the tardy side of relaxed, but when it arrived the food was very nice, this was also the case for dinner but here one of our main courses left a little to be be desired on the taste front.

We stayed here for our last night of our holiday and we were gutted we didn’t book two nights as this is the most beautiful hotel! Everything about this hotel is so beautiful including the staff they were all very welcoming and we had the best time. One thing I will say is we had lunch and dinner in the Terrance and we were really disappointed, both lunch and dinner were a disaster service was poor very poor and the waiting times were ridiculous. I would recommend eating in the hotel as the breakfast was lovely and everyone was so lovely. We will 100% be visiting again when we’re back up this way as it’s a long 6 hours for us but honestly worth a stay!

We are just back from a fantastic stay at the hotel. We could not fault a thing! All the staff were so friendly and helpful. The hotel is beautifully decorated and pristine. Someone has a very good idea of design, it was lovely. We ate at McLeods and Blossom and the food was excellent at both. The spa was amazing, we had warm sunny weather which was a massive bonus. Sitting in the outside bubble pools in the sunshine, overlooking the stunning lake and Yorkshire Dales with a glass of Prosecco in hand, was delightful. I can’t wait to go back!
