3 Europa Road, Gibraltar, Gibraltar
"It’s not bad that after I cleaned it the next day, there was a smell of nail polish that was heavy and heavy. Breakfast had to be paid for by yourself. You can also choose a sea view room with breakfast. It is very nice and large and has a large sofa balcony. It is also great to see the price of the sea It’s reasonable to have a bus stop and traffic is convenient"
"The balcony of the room is the largest one on the floor. It has a good view towards the hotel. The hotel facilities are complete and the sanitation is OK. Even the facilities are slightly older, the environment and comfort are OK. Breakfast is not particularly rich."
"Very good hotel on the hillside with nice sea view and good service"

Ocean Village, Gibraltar, Gibraltar
"Eating out from the hotel is very convenient, but the room type booked may not be particularly good. The hotel comes with a casino. On a rainy day, you can use the spa to play a slot machine at the hotel. Taking pictures is really beautiful!"

Nº8,ALCALDE JUAN NUÑEZ STREET, Tarifa, Andalusia, Spain
"The hotel is beautifully maintained and decorated in a light and airy Moroccan style. I had a sea view room which looks out onto the marina rather than the beach. My room was extremely clean and full of all the amenities I needed. The beds are very comfortable with memory foam pillows. The only thing missing was a complimentary bottle of water, which is a small detail, but one I really like. Fantastic hammam and spa in the basement and beautiful rooftop pool where they serve drinks. The pool is extremely unusual in that it has some sort of bouncy soft floor, other than the very edge, which is a glass bottom overlooking the street, so certainly an innovative design. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. We stayed a couple of weeks after the place reopened after Covid lockdown and they were still getting the hang of the breakfast. You get a huge selection of things brought to your table as there is no buffet - personally I would prefer to be able to order a couple of items from a menu, which would save food. The hotel is about a five minute walk from the old town of Tarifa on one side and the huge beach on the other, so right in the heart of things. The windows overlooking the main road and marina are extremely soundproof, which as a light sleeper, I really appreciated."
"We had an excellent three nights ( more on this later!) and the location is perfect opposite the Port. The old town is no more than a 5. minute walk and then to access the beaches its 5 mins the other way. The rooms are excellent and very environmentally considered. Good size bathrooms, well appointed bedrooms and an excellent terrace made it delightful. The breakfasts are very good with friendly staff and a great range of hot and cold food. We also used the car parking space which had plenty of room. We had planned to stay four nights but had to leave after three and there was no problem with cancelling the last night and no charge. Thank you for showing how customer services really can work. This was a brilliant stay and we will be back...excellent"
"We stayed here for 7 nights over Christmas and had a wonderful restful break. The hotel is new, clean and wonderfully decorated in a Moroccan/ minimalist style. We had 3 rooms - 2 overlooking the internal courtyard and one with a balcony facing the ferry Harbour. The view from the balcony and the rooftop pool deck were spectacular. We upgraded to a junior suit after 2 nights as our children enjoyed watching the boats from our balcony and the standard room was a bit small for all of us. The upgrade was a taken care of easily and without any fuss. The breakfast buffet was super and the fresh bread and pastries were a hit with all. We also enjoyed the freshly made scrambled eggs or omelets made to order. The Menü for other meals was short but included enough options for all - our vegetarian and fussy eaters were all happy. Meals were all fresh and delicious. And the spa... what a wonderful restful place to end a day outdoors. Beautifully decorated and calming. Worth the 15€ for 2 hours. We will be back. "

21-23 Devil's Tower Road, Gibraltar, Gibraltar
"I have stayed at many hotels in the IHG group over the years, including a number of Holiday Inn Express locations. This is easily one of the better ones, although the whole modus operandi of HIE is actually good. The notion of a free breakfast is not common, by any means, and the HIE breakfast is generally good. The location in Gibraltar is one of the first I have come across where they actually offer bacon with the scrambled egg and sausage/beans. I don’t know why so many of them shun bacon – after all, a cooked breakfast is not a cooked breakfast without bacon. So all credit to the HIE in Gibraltar for this. Otherwise, there is little to distinguish this venue from others in the series. You know what you will get, a compact but well-appointed room with not-too-much clothes storage space, but a double bed, flat-screen TV, shower room and a small movable desk and chair. It all works and this one is not much more than two years old, so it is all still pretty pristine. What separate this one (apart from the bacon) is the staff. They were all very accommodating, professional and downright friendly! The hotel is across the runway, a walk of 10 minutes or so, on the first street you will come to. It is close up to the towering Rock, so on one side your room widow will have a view of the Rock face, which is interesting in itself, for you can spot the little apertures where the 50 kilometers of tunnels have gun emplacements dating back to the Great Siege. We had a couple of days on that side and then asked to be moved to get the other view, which the hotel was happy to accommodate. That side overlooked the huge graveyard, the airport runway and the border and hills of Andalucia beyond. Some critics have complained about the ‘depressing’ graveyard aspect. It is actually a very interesting place to visit and has significant numbers of Commonwealth War Graves sections. We can watch the aircraft manoeuvre to land on the comparatively short Gibraltar Airport landing strip and we can follow the streams of people and traffic crossing the runway (when it isn’t closed for aircraft movement). Most of the businesses in Gib are served by people living across the border in the town of La Linea. Criticisms of the HIE? Few. Perhaps the absence of somewhere to it out in the sun (there is a small terrace on the first floor but it is at the side of the building opposite a housing block and the gap acts as a wind tunnel!). It is not a full-service hotel so you cannot expect more, but a little thought might have installed a sundeck on the flat roof, perhaps? Overall, nothing but thumbs up for this location."
"We decided to get married in Gibraltar as it would be a lot easier than in Spain. Part of the requirements was that we had to stay 1 night in Gibraltar either the night before or the night of the wedding. We opted for the night before and chose the holiday inn express. We had to pop in during the day to have a confirmation email sent to the registrar. We were greeted by Milly on the reception who could not have been more helpful. She sent the email whilst chatting to us and when she found out we were getting married she was so nice and showed a real interest. We arrived at 18:30 that evening and although we were 30 mins late for check in it was not a problem and the staff were attentive and very friendly. We had a very comfortable night, the room was very clean and the bed comfortable. In the morning we went to breakfast and although complying with social distancing etc there was a great selection of cereals, toast. Croissants, jams etc. There was also a great hot choice and the portions were very generous. When it came time to check out Milly was on duty again and she greeted us remembering this was our big day and saying she was excited for us and said please pop in again even if we are not staying in the hotel even just to say hi. On the whole you know what to expect from Holiday Inn but Milly and the other staff we had interactions with have definitely made our stay memorable and we will definitely stay again!"
"We booked hiex Gibraltar for our wedding. Original booking for 17 people. We received a special discounted rate, and paid a deposit. Ultimately, due to COVID our guests were unable to attend and it was just two of us. The deposit was used to pay for our stay and the balance returned to us. They even honoured the discounted rate. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The staff are friendly and helpful. The hotel is conveniently situated for the town. Cleanliness standards are high at this time with sanitizers and other precautions in evidence. The breakfast included in the price is very good."

Calle Comendador, 10, Tarifa, Andalusia, Spain
"We stayed here for three nights. Once you enter this little hotel, you enter an entire different world. The music, the smells, the furtnitures, everything is perfectly set to create an 1001 nights atmosphere. The breakfast was really good. Fresh and Good Quality food! Staff was very friendly and very willing to advice. We definitely recommend staying here if you are looking for an hotel with an extra touch"
"A beautiful little hotel in the heart of old town Tarifa. The staff were wonderful, helpful and informative. The hotel itself had lovely aromas throughout with subtle background music. Decorated in a wonderful Moroccan style and a lovely roof top terrace for breakfast- my only negative is that we didn’t book to stay longer. A wonderful stay- thank you so much 👍👍👍"
"Stayed here for 2 nights in a ground floor room. Loved the building itself and the roof top terrace. Great service and helpful staff, especially as we were able to leave our suitcase overnight when travelling to Tangier. Perfect location in the old town, just a few minutes walk from everything. We come to Tarifa a lot so would stay again but next time would choose one of the other rooms as our room was a little dark and small."

Avenida Batalla del Salado, 14, Tarifa, Andalusia, Spain
"As I live in Marbella I frequently visit Tariffa and stay and one of the many beach front hotels. This trip I wanted to be in the town centre and stayed at the Hotel CONVENTO and an excellent choice it was too!! Originally an old convent the hotel has been well restored and all rooms are very modern and clean. To be honest they are rather small so I would recommend upgrading to one of their small suites and in August this was only an extra 20€ a night. The hotel is in the centre of Tariffa and everywhere is under 10 minutes walk away. This is a very personable hotel and the owner himself walked us to the garage just 3 minutes from the hotel. For those who want to be in the middle of the historic places, restaurants and very lively night scene this is the place to stay. It could easily be a base for a short visit to Tangier as the ferry port is under an 10 minute walk."
"Very good location for visiting both Tarifa old town and for a day trip to Tangier. Hotel is an attractive old convent building. We selected the hotel due to the above and some good reviews. We found the rooms were adequate and the hotel has a charming ambiance. BUT - in our opinion it is very overpriced for a hotel graded as one star: 150 euros per room per night irrespective of room occupancy, Breakfast extra: 15 euros. Parking also extra in a cramped garage that requires multiple maneuvering to park/ext. Told the manager of some defects in one of our rooms (defective shower). He straight away became abusive and threatened to call the police!!! We couldn't wait to leave and strongly recommend that Tripadvisor readers avoid this hotel while under the present management. So disappointing, as the rest of our visit to Tarifa and Tangier was excellent."
"Arrived without booking a car parking place. In hindsight realised this was a mistake. However, the receptionist sorted it for us and valet parked the vehicle for us. It cost 15 Euros but this seemed to be the going rate overnight anyway. Hotel rooms were clean and generally good value for money. "

C/ Sancho Iv El Bravo 16, Tarifa, Andalusia, Spain
"We stayed here in December 2019. It was sublime and we can't stop thinking about it. Tarifa and Hotel Misiana really captured our hearts. The surf vibe of the town reminded us of home. We took a day trip to Tangier, which was also memorable. But Tarifa was the highlight and really a special place. We're already planning to go back once traveling abroad is safe again. The restaurant/bar was a particular favorite for us. It just all felt like home."
"It was a really nice hotel (clean, fresh, cozy, comfy beds) and the staff was very friendly. And of course the bar and breakfast is very nice with a cozy atmosphere and good service. But the big problem was that the hotel room is close to the street and you can hear everything that happens on the street and it’s normal in Spain that people eat late so it was very difficult to sleep so that wasn’t very nice... But the hotel, staff, beds, bar, room is fresh and nice so that I recommend but there is the problem with a lot of sounds from the street until very late at night..."
"We stayed here for 2 nights in October 2019. Loved the place, clean, roomy and quiet. Certainly has character and people working there are great. No mini fridge in a room, but this was not a problem for us. Good breakfast, walking distance to the port for ferry to Morocco. Finding Parking might take sometime so drop off your bags first."
