"Bad Ragaz Grand resort is indeed Grand. You get the ' upgrade ' push upon check in, as rooms can be VERY different in size and atmosphere.I ended up upgrading for 200 CHF per night, but my honest feeling was that such a great resort can skip that sale pitch. The dining room Olive DOr does not treat the detox program guests in a respectful manner in my opinion,I just had to look around to see what service regular guests were getting, and what I got.It felt is if a favor was done by hosting me there.Nothing rude or negative, just a feeling of being ignored, with even one evening dish not served at all.For 30 min I was at my table waiting in vain, but no one bothered to check on me. From that day on it was only in room dining for me. Also the final bill upon check out had many add ons and mistakes that truely shocked me,like charging me for a trip I didn't take etc. Check your bill well when you leave.Swiss accuracy did not play a roll there. Apart from that the facility is gorgeous, the warn pool is heaven, and all personnel is polite and welcoming. Despite the efforts of management to say they were 'sorry' , it was not really genuine, some managers find it hard to deal with criticism.Pitty. I enjoyed most of my time there. Will I return? Def not."
"This is one the best thermal resorts I have never been!! The hotel is composed by several buildings and is close to the “public” thermal bath “Tamina thermen”. The hotel is a true 5 stars hotel with a top class service: everyone is very friendly and helpful. I was there for Christmas and there were a lot of decorations. As hotel guest you can use the private Spa of the hotel and the famous “Helenabad” that is closed to the public and reserved only for hotel guest. Food is top: a lot of restaurant with a wonderful service. Room was ok even I prefer modern furniture there is nothing to complain about. Breakfast super with a great choice of food. I’m Swiss and I believe this is one of the best hotels of our country! Strongly recommended!!!"
"I have stayed in this hotel for more than 8 times and it never fails to charm me. The newly renovated suites are enchanting , the breakfast is fantastic and the Spa is one of its kind . If you like nature and mountains, you will love the views from the balcony of the hotel rooms. If you are looking for a place to rest and relax, this is the best place."

"We came for the second time in Maiensasshotel Guarda Val for the week-end and had the same wonderful experience as the first time. Wonderful room, tastefully, cosy and uniquely decorated. We relaxed twice in the hot pot under the open sky: Friday just the two of us, Saturday together with an unknown couple with which we almost made friends. First evening we eat in the restaurant with local specialities, second in the Gourmet one. Both were absolutely great. The gourmet one takes quite a long time, but it is definitely worthwhile. The breakfast is a feast and it seems that for lots of guests it is one of the main reasons to come here. The service is efficient, competent and very friendly. It is the best place to experience intact, the beauty of the old Swiss traditional landscape. One can hike, bike, walk, ski, sled or simply enjoy wellness."
"We had a lovely 3 night package including breakfast 2 dinners and a wellness experience. The food was fantastic as was their wellness experience. I've read feedback from others that there is no pool and I agree this would be fantastic, but if you're feeling brave Heidisee is a little way down the mountain for summer visitors! It's perfect if you like good food, good wine, hiking and mountain views. I hope to visit again."
"We stayed here as part of a large wedding group. Our room was a family room in the main building and it was excellent. If you like the rustic atmosphere as opposed to stainless steel and glass then this is the place. Friends of ours had a room over the road and again it was lovely. The staff were very friendly and helpful. This place is not cheap but is certainly worth the money. "

"In June I stayed at Valbella Resort for two nights, and overall my experience was very pleasant. My room was really great, big and modern (in the house next to the Spa). Breakfast was good, but I am not sure how safe the buffet is in those COVID-19 times ? At lunch and dinner the food in the restaurant was okay and tasty, but a bit greasy and not over the top (the last time I stayed at Valbella Resort, it was of much higher quality). However, there was one service member who is really charming and makes everything possible, which made it a great experience (he is Italian speaking, but I unfortunately dont remember his name). The indoor pool is lovely and I enjoyed it once again. However - there where many families with very young children staying there at the same time as myself. Which is of course perfectly fine. What I didnt like however - there are age rules for using the pools, and they were totally ignored. Babies in the whirlpool which should be used only for children over 3 years for example. I do worry about hygiene in such matters. I was also worried about social distancing, which in the indoor pool on the first day was really difficult, as a grandpa and his grand son were basically using the whole pool, swimming back and forth all over the place, and taking absolutely not regard to other people (which was only myself, so it would have been really easy to avoid this situation). I dont want to be paranoid, but I also dont want to get COVID-19 because such of something that can really be avoided. I understand that you cant control what silly people do. But I wish you would take this more seriously, and I think there is some potential for that ?"
"Valbella In is the most beautiful place I have Ever been to. It is a big family resort With two Restaraunts, Two Kids clubs, Two sides of the resort, a Ski training for kids, free parking, mini escalator for skiing and even Roger federer lives near by! The food is Amazing! Recommend for family vacation."
"My friend and I spent a weekend in Valbella Resort, in a standard room. First of all the room did not turn out to be like on the pictures on the website- far from modern, not nicely decorated nor well equipped. Apparently this part of the hotel is to be renovated in the future. When we asked at reception, apparently it was already an upgrade from what we had booked... For this price one can get an amazing room in a design hotel with two terraces and Matterhorn view in Zermatt... Perhaps because it is the end of the season, they seemed to run out of decaf coffee (a room has an Espresso machine), when I asked for a tea instead they delivered it in the room but charged extra. Very nice breakfast, home made Youghurt, fresh juice, good selection of cheese, meat, eggs etc,. Just staff running in a super stressful way- this does not help with a nice relaxing Sunday morning. Good the weather was nice and we could benefit from the tennis court being part of the resort. Overall, pretty disappointing, standard below the stars given. "

"I'm still impressed by the Schweizerhof hotel! I received a voucher from my former colleagues (farewell gift), and last weekend, I finally spent two amazing days in Lenzerheide. LOCATION: very central, directly at the bus station "Lenzerheide/Lai, Post); perfect for travelling by train/bus. ROOMS: There are different types of rooms. If you can afford it, I strongly recommend an Alpenchic room: very spacious, stylish, bright, terrace/balcony with sun lounger, bathtub, shower, separate toilet, very comfortable bed, complimentary tea selection ... I was very happy with the room! STAFF/SERVICE: extremely cordial, very attentive, helpful and well organised staff; on Sunday morning, they had the two big Swiss Sunday newspapers ("NZZ am Sonntag" and "Sonntagszeitung"), and you could take a copy with you; the checkout was extremely efficient – thanks again (we had to catch our bus) BREAKFAST: OMG, one of the biggest and most amazing breakfast buffets I've ever seen! You'll find _everything_ you could possibly wish for. I went for fresh fruit, muesli (granola, nuts, dried fruit etc.), soy milk, vegan yoghurt, pancakes and tea (Länggass Tee). The bread selection looked amazing, but I couldn't eat anything more ;-) There's a whole gluten free corner, and there are a lot of vegan options too."
"We rented a condo at the Schweitzerhof for 7 people. They have access to the hotel facilities which are great. The ski rooms to store you equipment and big and relatively convenient location between where you park your car and the front entrance to catch the bus to the ski hill. The pool was nice and the kids had a great time. The provided some pool toys which was a nice touch. The steam-bath was good and while we did not use the jacuzzi as we had kids the adults using looked like they were enjoying it after a day of skiing. The lady who helped us with the rental was superb for check in and check out. The location is perfect to rent ski equipment from across the street and catch the bus to the ski lift. We had a kitchen so we cooked our own meals and the grocery store is a short walk from the front entrance. I would recommend this hotel and for a large group to rent one of the attached condos but you may need to look online for it as I do not know if you can rent one through the hotel. The town has a fairy forest event in December with lights and food stalls and nightly music which is a great time but a bit expensive if you want to visit more than once. "
"I stayed at Hotel Schweizerhof in Lenzerheide with family for 2 nights in mid-August 2019. Overall, the hotel was good. Here are a few observations of my stay: 1) Good location in the middle of town, 2) The hotel staff is friendly and provide all the information needed when asked, 3) Free parking is abundant at a close open area, 4) Nostalchic rooms are recently renovated modern rooms which are spacious and have all the basic amenities one may need, 5) The buffet breakfast is abundant and has many choices. We tried dinner at the hotel and the dishes were delicious as well, 6) Good choice of in-room TV channels, 7) Free Wi-Fi across the hotel with good speed and reliability."

"We spent an amazing time at the Posthotel Valbella! The staff was attentive and friendly throughout our stay. The room was hold in a typical "Grison-Style" and had an unbelievable view over the alps. They also seem to be famous in this area for their amazingly delishous pizzas and Italian cuisine. We enjoyed every second of our stay in Valbella and are definitely going to come back!"
"The Fondue was the most disgusting fondue we ever had. First It tasted like nothing. After our complain the chef made a new one. He spiced it up with salt and garlic. ( no one puts salt in a Fondue! ) Unfortunately we could taste the grains of salt and the big pieces of garlic. It was just a miserabel experience. I found it very sad that the hotel can not hire Swiss chefs to cook real Swiss food! I Would not recommend the Fondue to anyone there. Our son had a pizza and it was ok."
"They are massively understaffed. As a consequence everybody is stressed to the max. They can only survive because this is a tourist destination and people don't come back twice. Don't go there for the restaurant."

"The spa and wellness area is wonderful after a day of skiing with a heated outdoor brine bath with jets for every part of your skiing muscles and 5 steam & sauna rooms. It has 3 restaurants and the staff are all friendly. I had a ski injury on the first day and the manager, Kathrin Zacharias, really looked after me; finding me a doctor and giving me lifts and setting aside an area I can work in the morning whilst my husband was out skiing. We discussed restaurants in the area and she gave me good tips and helped me book all of them. I had a wonderful stay despite my injury and will happily return the next time. The hotel is centrally located and just across the road from the main bus station, one of the big ski shops and is in walking distance to most restaurants in the area. The room is on the small side but it’s nicely decorated and clean with a nice view of the mountains. Breakfast was good and it has a great outdoor area for après-ski. "
"We stay for a few days in this nice hotel. The rooms, Lobby, Lounge is made in a warm woody style one feels comfortable with. The Spa area is big enough with several saunas, very clean and relaxing quite. We booked including dinner and where warmly welcomed in the Heid-Stübli (as the other two restaurants where closed). Here a small recommendation. For half-board guest it's a bit tricky to select three or four dishes as it is quite traditional Swiss food which is a bit "heavy". I would add two or three changing options to the menu for a nice twist in the selections. Nevertheless the food was delicious no complain about the kitchen itself :-). Also the stuff was very friendly in the whole hotel. Perfect place for relaxing"
"Savvy travelers know full well that prices at Swiss winter resorts are unsurpassed in Europe. Thus the guest expects a four star hotel like this one to meet quite high standards in every respect. The positive first: a very good garage with ample space and even reserved spots by name, nice bathrooms, a good location in the center of town, friendly staff. The rooms are nice, but not there yet - they lack electric plugs at desktop or night table level, and are not particularly large. Also, the design of the hotel is rather confusing and it's not easy to know one's way around. Lastly, there isn't enough elevator capacity. Can't say anything about the spa, as I didn't make use of it."

"This is a lovely little boutique hotel. Comfy with friendly service in a great setting. Brilliant views, even the drive there was special. We stayed in a little "princess in the tower" room with wood paneling and great atmosphere. Room rent includes a 4 hour visit in the Tamina Thermal bath which we recommend thoroughly. We also booked the dinner option and were surprised by the variety and the concept of bringing several small dishes to savior different tastes with many of the products used were self made. Same for the breakfast. Generous, great choices and homemade jams. Extra Bonus from June till September: There is a brilliant lightshow in the Tamina Canyon - the Light Ragaz (every year). Don't miss this or try to include it in your visit. The hotel will arrange the tickets and you save a few euros...a MUST DO! Go treat yourself! "
"This small but professional hotel is not for showoffs or lovers of luxury, but it provides all the traveler’s needs quite elegantly. During our stay we had drinks in the bar and a lovely, comfortable outdoor nook. One evening tents had been erected adjacently for a lovely wedding, and there is a pleasant restaurant as well. The staff speaks English and French as well as German, and is very helpful, especially the very nice owner Patrick. The hotel evidently does quite well, as the fine cars of the guests make an interesting display, but the price seems quite reasonable for the quality and lovely location. There is also a spa and sizeable pool, but we did not sample them."
"At first glance, it looks like the hotel is more likely to appeal to car enthusiasts than to spa guests of the Tamina Therme. The ambience throughout the hotel is reasonable anachronistic, the room worn out but with a contemporary very nice spacious bathroom. The wellness area with its wonderful garden view of the valley is very generous and invites to linger a little longer, hadn't there been the noise level produced by the motorway nearby, facing the adjoining free way. High impact in the truest sense, which one cannot elude. Surprisingly, Housekeeping staff does not provide bath towels and bathrobes upon the guest's wish, daily fresh towels are not regular supplied to tamina spa guests only for the in-house swimming pool area. The hotel aims to a different target, breakfast, usually served early, consists of lower priced segment convenience food and manufactured products. The fruit salad was not freshly prepared, instead of thermal water, tap water ... the most exciting thing was the egg cooker! "

"I just spend a weekend with friends in Arosa. I loved the place. Certainly, it is not a hotel with lots of amentities. But what we needed, was a place to sleep and breakfast. The reception area in a store is nicely made, the rooms are renovated and look really nice with a great shower. The breakfast was much more than I expected - but best of all was the staff. All of them were so welcoming and accomodating. The hospitality is second to none. Definitely a place to go back again."

"Went to Maienfeld to visit the Heidiland. The hotel was very convenient and around 3 minutes walk from the train station. Hotel itself is big situated in a small and quiet village. Room was good with very basic amenities. Nice hotel and with WiFi. Nice garden as well and our room was facing it. Will definitely stay here again if visiting heidiland again. "
