It's pretty easy to find, and it's easy to find after following the navigation. Self check-in and check-out, the service was not felt. There is a 24-hour convenience store not far from the hotel, so it is convenient, and the pots and pans in the room are quite complete, so breakfast can be done by yourself. The price-performance ratio of three bedrooms and one hall is ok, one bedroom is more expensive

My husband and I came to The Malcom Hotel to attend his cousin's wedding. The hotel is beautifully made. The hotel staff are always welcoming with a smile. The concierge desk was awesome in their recommendations of what to do on a raining day and what tour we must do while in Canmore. It is also walking distance from the City Center of Canmore. It was a great one week stay!

Scheduled a week at the Malcolm from June 11th-16th after being it being recommended by a friend. Top to bottom an incredible experience. A huge thank you to the staff for their hard work and diligence in making this experience one to remember. We’ll definitely be back.

Apartment hotel, there is a kitchen to cook, the environment is good, not far from the high speed, there is a supermarket nearby is convenient, there is a safeway not far from the car, a slightly larger supermarket, a few gas stations nearby. The hotel has underground and ground parking. The fly in the ointment is that when you check out, you have already prepaid the room rate, and you have swiped the room rate from the credit card. The communication was confirmed to be delayed for nearly an hour. Everything else is fine.

The hotel has no breakfast, but the family suite has a kitchen. It is very convenient to cook for yourself. The front desk is very warm. The room is large, our master bedroom has a bathroom, and there is a guest bathroom, standard two-bedroom, suitable for elderly people with children. But be careful to throw away the rubbish in your room. Free parking

The hotel is very good, the room is bigger, you can cook your own food, in addition to seasoning, pots and pans. There is a sofa bed, so you can sleep up to two big and two small, there is a parking lot on the ground and on the ground. There are many wild bunny in the grass around the hotel. You can buy some carrots to feed the rabbit with your child. It is very fun! Didn't have breakfast at the hotel, so I can't comment
- YING
The room is big enough, the kitchen is complete, the indoor parking lot, the front desk is directly swiped into the parking garage after check-in, find the corresponding room type parking, then there is the corresponding floor on the elevator, convenient, not far from Banff, about 20 km The highway is very fast, in fact, the scenery here is also very good.

My friends and I booked a 3 bedroom through Expedia. When we arrived, it was a tiny 2 bedroom suite, with not enough beds or room for us to sit together. Unfortunately, because it was booked through Expedia, we had to deal directly with Expedia and the owner of the suite which was a huge hassle and spent hours of our time trying to fix the situation. The hotel rents suites by owners, as well as suites owned by the hotel. After not getting far with Expedia nor the suite owner, we talked to the manager Aaron, and he was able to get us into a significantly larger suite. He did what he could to accommodate us, and it cost us less than what Expedia charged for a much smaller unit. The suite was amazing, very comfortable beds and had lots of room for our girls weekend away. The kitchen was perfect and had everything we needed. We will definitely stay here again, and will be sure to book directly with the hotel.

Had a wonderful stay with my dog. Great corner suite with easy access to take my dog out. Enjoyed the hot tub in the afternoon as very busy in the evenings. Staff were great answering all my questions when booking. Looking forward to coming in the summer to explore the trails nearby as quite icy when I stayed.

Drive all the way from Vancouver, all the hotel reservations are good, but this hotel is the best! The suite we booked was so big, spacious, clean and welcoming! The facilities are quite complete, including washing machines, dryers, dishwashers and more. The kitchen is quite large and there is no shortage of kitchen supplies. The pots and knives are all Zhuangliren, big-name goods, easy to use and clean. There are coffee makers, microwave ovens, and traditional Chinese kettles, even dish cloths and detergents. They are so thoughtful and complete! In a foreign country, we made a lot of delicious food for ourselves during the three days we stayed. The front desk service is great, although the language is not spoken, but I feel a great affinity from the smile, and the check-in is quite fast. You can see the snow-capped mountains and beautiful scenery outside the window of the room. There is a park near the hotel, which is very beautiful! Canmore is about 20 kilometers from Banff, but the town is not only beautiful, but also very quiet. The main thing is that the same room will be much cheaper than Banff, and parking is convenient. It is the best choice for self-driving friends. Thank you to all the staff for your excellent service! Cost-effective, highly recommended

Very nice, I like this one-bedroom suite with kitchen and balcony. It is very convenient to live, as well as laundry and drying equipment. I will stay here next time. The hotel is about ten minutes drive from Banff town, the price is much more affordable than Banff, recommended

This review is based solely on the cost we paid for this stay. The long and short, I wanted to take my wife somewhere nice for her birthday. We are on a limited budge but I figured I could spend a little extra as its her birthday. We came across .... and admittedly lured in by the nice pictures with a private romantic view of the mountains. My wife, who worked 15 years in hospitality asked a couple of times for a room with a nice view of the mountains like the one in the pictures. We were assured we had the best view. When we pulled up we were a bit let down seeing it was right off the main road. Not a deal breaker but we pictured something more secluded. We were not allowed to check in early. Once gain, not a deal breaker but it would have been nice. We walked around town and when it came time for check in, we were very unpleasantly surprised. The rooms, average size with 2 queen bed were clean. The bathroom clean with a nice view and a heated floor. But what we we most upset with was the lack of privacy. When you open the door the 2 beds are right there in front of the window where everyone walks by. My wife and I had hopes of spending the mornings in bed, with the view of the mountains as told. We did have the view but everyone walking buy had a clear view of us in the window. We called Expedia and asked if the had anything else which the didn't and they could not help us much since it was booked third party. To add insult to injury we immediately went back and looked on Expedia to see the pictures we were lured in by. The exact same stay, days and everything was $300 less. We immediately asked Expedia if we could get a price match but they said they only do that with their competitors, not their site. and it is only before you pay. The room was already booked. This was not what we were hoping for in the least. In all fairness, it is a nice clean newly renovated place. It is centrally located near may stores and hikes. The view of the mountain from the balcony is great. The little table and chairs are great to have a little meal and some one. If the rooms were $150 to $175 tops, I would give this place 4.5 starts. But we paid 1500 USD for 5 nights. We could have stayed in Banff for that cost or $100 more and had more privacy which is what we wanted. I wish we would have read Joel B review post from June before we booked this room. For the cost it was a major let down. Especially since we found comparable places to stay close if not in Banff. This was a quickly planned surprise trip. We paid literally for not following up and using due diligence. I do photography on the side. I should have known better. Who ever took the pictures earned their money on this one. None of them are fake, But the angles are just right. If the prices ever go down to what I mentioned, you getting a great deal. Just no privacy.

This is not a hotel. By any standard. This is a classic motel, whether the property wants it to be seen that way or not. And, it is a DUMP. My wife and I, plus visiting family, were booked to stay here last week. In the lead-up to the stay, I had one decent interaction with a property employee (Julie) when I booked. And, it was all downhill from there. We booked both their three-bedroom apartment (only one onsite) and an additional suite. As check-in arrived, we received numerous emails and texts to complete the process online. This escalated to a text from Julie asking when we were going to check-in. I called Julie the day of our arrival; from the get-go she was terse, but I'm used to dealing with difficult personalities. She asked when I was checking in; I told her we'd check in when we arrived (in person). She proceeded to tell me ”this would slow things down” (how?). I then told her we were having a picnic in Banff. Since we had just come off a long hike, it was around 1:30 pm, which is 2.5 hours before normal check-in. I asked if we could check in a bit early so everyone could shower and rest up for a dinner we had planned. No. I politely pushed. Firm no. Then Julie was rude to me and I shut down. I gave one-word responses and concluded the call (though she tried to be a bit nicer when she saw I shut down to one-word responses). We drove to Canmore, arriving at the property around 3 pm. To be certain, this is a MOTEL, NOT A HOTEL. We were on property for about ten minutes. The tiny front desk reception room was locked. At 3:00 pm. There was nobody staffing the desk. We looked around a bit and realized there were no amenities except a covered hot tub. A gentleman then came out and spoke with my wife. We asked to see the apartment because we were already unsure as to whether or not we'd be staying (judging by the exterior of the property). Firm no. Apparently, the cleaners were cleaning the apartment, but there were no cleaners in sight. My wife asked if the property was a motel. The gentleman explained that it ”used to be a motel” but now it was a ”hotel” (how?). She asked what amenities were available at the property. He asked, ”as in what do you get in your room?” I assumed that he meant the mini shampoos or otherwise. To be certain, THERE ARE NO AMENITIES ON SITE OTHER THAN THE HOT TUB AND THAT LOOKED LIKE A GROSS SPOT AND DIDN'T EVEN SEEM OPEN. At this point, with not being able to see the unit, my wife and I made the decision to not stay at this property. We had previously stayed with another local hotel, so I was very lucky to walk into this property, share this story, and be accommodated with four rooms for two nights on very short notice. Once we settled into the new hotel, we spent some time in downtown Canmore and around our new hotel. I shared our story a few times and, as it turns out, the locals all know the Lamphouse as a ”BAIT AND SWITCH.” If you don't know what that is, it's when a property portrays itself as one thing online,

great place as your basecamp to explore banff national park and calgary, the room is large with kitchen and washer, highly recommended. it is pricy but so are the rest of other hotels/lodge in the area and a bit cheaper compared to hotels in banff. Clean and well maintained 👍

The room is clean and tidy. There is an underground parking lot for parking, which is very convenient. You can also cook some food yourself. Tableware, dishwasher, and cooking equipment are all available. I will stay here again next time.

The appearance of the apartment is not new, but the interior decoration is very good and the facilities are complete. Electric fireplace adjustable. The waiter was also nice and cleaned up every day. Before leaving, I forgot to leave a tip, a little embarrassed. In short, I live very well. I feel that developed countries are just a penny and a lot of money. The children are very happy.

The rooms are large, double bathrooms, full kitchen facilities, laundry, and stoves for a relaxing break. Surrounded by the mountains of the Rocky Mountains, the hotel offers a view.
