Our experience at this hotel was just phenomenal! Tarek at the front desk deserves a raise! I communicated with him through the phone as we were arriving super early and his honesty of possibly having a room ready helped us Taylor the beginning of our trip. We were able to check in early with him and we received a following up call from Tarek 5mn after entering the room, as he wanted to make sure we were happy with our room and that he was there if we needed him. Even during a very busy period he made the time to sort through all our requests. Such service makes the difference and that convinced us to come back in the future. The views from the higher floors are amazing. The room was clean and the perfect size for our 5 night stay. The bar/restaurant always had a great vibe both a breakfast and dinner; the serving sizes were large and we were very pleased. The lobby area is very well done and smells really nice! Only little downside was there was no business center and we needed to print some stuff . However, Tarek offered immediately to print our documents. We had such a fantastic stay and felt being taken care of throughout the whole stay, will surely be returning!

FAHAD (Night Manager) is just amazing! No issue to small. So helpful and friendly, just an amazing guy. I stay here all the time with colleagues and like the hotel but Fahad makes it so extra special and the reason I come back!! Any hotel would benefit from this guy.

Who wants to meet the quiet side of London outside the centre will feel comfortable in this charming 19th-century hotel in the southwest Wimbledon district. It is certainly a hotel for private travellers, but who knows many hotel chains as a business traveller will not see any more such differences and may perhaps have another experience. I personally like the traditional English style of the rooms. In the bathroom, modern equipment connects with historically attractive elements of wall and floor tiles in a harmonious way. I ordered food in the room, which was very good. I also liked breakfast. The staff was very friendly and expert in all areas. The receptionist (I think Angela?) surprised me with an upgrade to a junior suite with views on the park. I think it's not better. Thank you again.

Recommended! Near the famous Wimbledon tennis court, surrounded by the famous big house mansion area, the hotel is in a large park, very quiet, old and heavy furniture, push the window to see the park's large lawn and walk, walk the dog Locals of dogs, small bars and small restaurants in the downstairs lobby are also very British, and you can recommend them to the local style hotel. The disadvantage is that it is a bit far from the city center, and the traffic time is about 40 minutes of traffic time.

It didn't meet expectations and transportation was not very convenient, if you need to choose subway travel. We were three adults and four children, and the rooms were scattered and very small. A master bedroom has a toilet. It looks like the washbasin should be the same size as a washbasin. Basically wash your face and brush your teeth. All the water is spilled on the floor. In addition, we are on the first floor, next to the road, not quiet enough. The other two children slept in the extra bed in the living room. The most unacceptable thing was the floor-to-ceiling glass windows on the first floor. The blinds were installed. Those curtains were outdated and they were not covered at all. Fortunately, the children lived. If it is an adult staying, it is estimated that you have to wear a coat to sleep, and you have to make up in your mind countless times. Someone will cut the window while you are asleep. Have been to London many times, this stay is really not recommended!

It was a very unpleasant experience,
When arriving at the apartment, the person in charge said that the payment from Trip.com was not received,
So we can't give us a room, we have to pay the price of the room on the day to get in.
In the end, the price of the day was paid.
Later, I called Trip.com to find out, but could not deal with it in time, waiting for an email reply,
But so far I have not received an email reply, I am very dissatisfied and need to make a complaint.

If you're looking for a hotel to visit London, this is not the one. To give you an idea : Piccadilly Circus is about 1.5 hours to walk and about 45 minutes by taxi (expensive) and, if you're lucky, about the same by public transport (a mixture of walking, bus and tube... and a pain!) That said, if you need a hotel in this particlar area – which is actually nearer to Fulham than Sloane Square, then you could do much worse. The welcome was genuinely warm and we were made to feel appreciated. Despite checking in the previous day via the Hilton app., no room could be allocated, so we had to check in again at the front desk. The check in staff was charming and efficient and her trainee status was not evident. Our 6th floor room, well away from the renovation noise on the 1st floor felt, however, like a downgrade from the 'Queen' room we'd booked, as it had a double bed in it (150cm) – like Hampton Inns, which Hilton class as 2 categories below Doubletree. For Diamond members – who can expect room upgrades “up to a one bedroom suite” - this could be a disappointment. Queen beds are usually 160cm, doubles 150cm. If this hotel is selling doubles as queens, then I personally think this is a bit naughty of them. Also, despite the hotel stating that their 1st floor renovation work does not start before 9 a.m., they do not mention that the massive building project which half-encircles the hotel, starts well before this time and is constant throughout the day and, by the look of things, is destined to last for a long time yet. The room was clean, the bed comfortable although narrow and, apart from a few stains, the room was adequat for a one or two night stay. I wouldn't like to stay longer, as the bathroom is even smaller than a Hampton Inn – there's nowhere to put a toilet bag and nowhere to hang used towels. The shower unit is the same style as in Hamptons but much smaller than most. The toilet seat was loose and so was 'interesting' when using it, several plug sockets in the room did not work and the a/c and TV turned themseves off several times during our stay. Otherwise the room was well designed, with enough mirrors, work surface, chair, safe etc. and fridge that gets things cold enough – if you are willing to wait about 18 hours, that is! Don't expect a good sleep – the doors are not sound-proofed and are paper-thin. Room doors are also constantly 'banging' shut due to the spring mechanism. The lobby bar is well stocked but has slighly frightening prices. We didn't try the restaurant – choosing a Middle-Eastern restaurant 5 minutes' walk away – but the food we saw looked to be well-presented and seemed to be of the fast food type. The breakfast was, to be totally frank, extremely disappointing. The quality was good but the choice was extremely poor for a Doubletree and, in comparison to the maybe 30 or 40 Doubletrees I've stayed in, is by far the worst breakfast 'spread' I've seen to date. No ham, no smoked salmon, not even any utensils for the

Stayed many times in this Hotel around 4 years ago due to high standards of staff and service. Unfortunately although the staff are still very professional and also friendly, the room standards have certainly dropped. You now have an empty space where the fridge used to be, sticks are provided instead of tea spoons for tea/coffee. Tissues run out after three uses, cupboard doors not aligned correctly so had to force shut. Under bed found sweet, dust and paper. Had to clean mirror, as it obviously had been wiped over with a dirty cloth and left to dry. Prices substantially increased since pandemic I believe.
Not what it was, hopefully just a blip and situation will improve as all other facilities including restaurant and location are excellent.

The room is very clean, the breakfast is good, authentic English breakfast, the front desk service is super good! In order to let us have a good rest, we specially arranged a room on the top floor near the inside. And it's very close to the subway station, so it's very convenient to go to London

Booked this for a visit to Kew Gardens Xmas event. Location good for that. Impressive facade and reception and pleasant dining room for breakfast. Used car park at rear which was rather cramped. Room was a bit disappointing. Blind disabled to avoid view of adjacent building site so no natural light. Small and unable to open small wardrobe door fully as it hit the bed. Nice tea/coffee making facilities but limited coffee pods (no decaf even when requested). Bed comfy and all clean and pleasant. With a few tweaks could be 5star.

Comfortable room with all the facilities needed, kettle, coffee maker (Tea Pigs😍) hairdryer, iron, ironing board, 📺. Comfortable bed and powerful hot shower. Pleasant staff. We didn’t have breakfast but it looked plentiful. The whole ambience was relaxing. Very well located for public transport (leave Richmond station at the side entrance and turn right).
