"Stayed for 3 nights, ate breakfast and dinner each day. The rooms are clean and don’t seem very old, I’m sure they are not new by any means which is testament to the upkeep of the place. The shower was good, decent pressure and plenty hot. There was a minibar in my room which was a nice touch. Not sure if that’s the standard. The gym is well equipped especially for a hotel gym, lots of machines and better than usual free weights selection for a hotel gym. The spinning area with the virtual cycle routes was also fantastic! The pool is clean but probably too warm to do any serious swimming in, nice to relax in after a tough day all the same. The restaurant was not cheap but in saying that I feel the food was worth the money. Nicely prepared and quality ingredients. Breakfast was also really good! The only thing that let the hotel down was the service was slow in the bar/restaurant. I’m not sure was this due to the fact it is a hotel geared towards rest and relaxation but I would have appreciated speedier service. The service while slow was good all the same and the staff were polite The hotel in general is very impressive and I would stay here again. "
"Spent almost a full month here on a business visit . Nice hotel but they rank themselves as 4 star superior and that’s a stretch . But it is nice , clean rooms , friendly staff and great food . Every dish I tried during the month was first class . Room housekeeping is a bit shoddy with glasses , laundry bags etc not being replaced as they’re used. Cushions for the bed left thrown on the floor . Could be better. Great gym and spa but here’s the strange thing . The gym is open 7am to 9pm Monday to Friday but only 9am to 3pm at the weekends . Not sure what the logic is there. I went down on Saturday at 3:30pm to use the gym only to find it locked up. But overall it is a very nice place to stay with great staff and a nice ambience . Also booked a business room for a meeting and that was very nice indeed. I’ll definitely be staying again. "
"On a road trip from Norway to the UK stopped overnight here - we will be coming back Fantastic rooms Great Spa and pool at 33c Good food Stair carpets could do with replacing but otherwise fantastic Our only disappointment was having to leave to continue our trip !"

"4-night stay with two dinners Nice building in a gorgeous park. We had booked a Superior room in the main building and got an upgrad upon arrival. Large corner room on the second floor with 2 large windows with small balconies on two sides with a lovely view on the park. Large room with a quirky decoration. The room was not clean : long dark hair on the red armchair, stained carpet. Two velvet upholstered nightstands (!?!) with stains and dust. Very large dusty plush toy on the wardrobe (!?!). Very small wardrobe where we could not hang all our clothes. The room is spacious thus plenty of space for a larger closet. It was very hot during our stay, also at night. There was no air-conditioning and the two small fans did not help to cool down the room ... and stirred the dust. The style less and outdated bathroom needs urgent renovation! Mold on the shower tiles. There was hair in the shower and a used cotton swab on the floor when we checked in the room. Persistent mold smell in the room and in the bathroom even with wide open windows. Breakfast buffet : very little choice and no variation. Slow refill, empty trays or with little left over. We had dinner twice at La Belle Source restaurant. It was excellent and very professional. Nice décor and ambiance. Extremely friendly and helpful staff and friendly manager/owner. Very expensive room (5 star hotel) for what you get."
"An unusual hotel, former manor house converted into a hotel. My room was 2nd floor so in the roof. Ok for me as I'm not the tallest person in world. Anyone over 1.85m might find themselves stooping a lot and turning on the light in the middle of the night before getting out of bed will prevent unwanted head-ceiling encounters. Room was great, very comfortable and clean although could benefit from a proper desk to work at. The restaurant was good and the food very, very nice. Also the way they do Arnhem gin was great. Possibly too good as the temptation to keep ordering was very strong. Finally everyone there was very friendly, genuine seemingly unforced friendly, and extremely helpful. If I ever get the chance to return to Arnhem, this is where I'm staying."
"This was our fourth visit to this hotel on a wooded estate near the beautiful "National Park The Hoge Veluwe." We booked the 3 days Veluwe arrangement in a spacious junior suite in the main-building which overlooks the driveway. The restaurant has been tastefully modernised in January this year. The food was excellent as usual. The very knowlegable sommelier gave pleasant and expert advice over matching wine for every course. We already made another reservation for later this year!"

"I had the charity suite which was one of the most interesting rooms I’ve ever had. Moderate size, the whole sink outside the bathroom was a little weird but hey, that’s what makes manna stand out- it’s unique character. It was the opposite of everything I’ve been used too- check in was super strange having a waiter do it for me, breakfast was 2 doors down the road, the room was quite interesting- shower and toilet in one, sink in the bedroom. The steps and oh then a little more. And I wouldn’t want it any other way- that’s what made the hotel so interesting . The waiter who checked me in to the hotel did it way quicker than most hotels and with such a smile- he was literally thankful I chose manna. A waiter. What a nice guy.....and the uniqueness of the hotel made it such a great stay. The staff were one of the nicest and genuine I’ve seen. I would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone."
"Really great boutique hotel with friendly staff, excellent restaurant service and elegant decor. Breakfast in the Blue was good, with perfect boiled eggs. I note the comments about small rooms, but I didn’t find that to be an issue. Good location - 10 mins from central station. "
"This hotel is placed in a beautiful fin du siecle mansion near the city centre. The hotel has spacious and well equipped rooms. The staff is friendly. Could do with some refurbishment. Some of the utilities in the room are getting older and might need an upgrade. And the fact that check in needs to be done at their other hotel down the road is not ideal. Still it is one of the best options in town."

"We did a pre booking, As my wife arrive in the evening and i know this hotel has no service i went in the morning to the hotel to do the check in, what takes also 45 minutes The problem in this hotel is the check in staff is also the operator, when people want to check in , you say hello i want to check they will not say anything as they have a head set and they are talking to other people who are on the phone, in my check in i have to listen to 4 phone calls , from people till you blood start to boil. i told them next time i do telephone check in, due they are talking on the phone with other people that's why there is no focus, they made a mistake with my check in, when i came back at night at 23:00hr i have to wait for one hour as they phone girl who checked me in give me the wrong room ( a lower category as i booked ) and that room i booked luckily i had copy of my booking, when i show the person on night duty my booking. He said this morning they made a mistake and this night duty person was so slow he said he had to do everything again. after exact one hour i had the key. than when we came to the room the key did not work have to go down again, i complained about the bad service of the hotel, he apologize he said the morning staff made a mistake, i told him do you know why , they are to busy talking on the phone to others than focusing on the check in job, they worse is the check out time , the same girls talk on the phone and let you wait and even there are many people to check out, when you are in the hurry you are listing to all these phone calls, this the ONLY hotel where i see check-in and operator and handling house phone calls all in one on the reception desk. i guess this is saving staff cost but this is bad. be advised !!! note also when you need room slipper you pay extra , you need bath rope you need to pay extra Than the second thing is the house keeping this is one of the worse housekeeping i even have seen and we travel a lot. believe it or not i was ones in the room when they do the room, i had a shock and complained on the reception the same phone talking girls , when i complained , the girl answered i dont think so , i ask here so you dont believe , than she said no they are not so bad. i told here placing pillows and bed sheets and duvee's on the dirty floor is oke,and later you sleep on to it, than place it back place towels outside the door on the carpet floor is oke and later you have to dry yourself with it, i told what kind of hygiene standaard you have here, as hardly any body speak Dutch, i guess you have outsource company who does housekeeping she said yes than i said no wonder. Than in the evening we came back they forgot to make up the room, there where no amenities, we called down around 22:45 and ask for amenities and towels, the night duty said, house keeping works only till 15:00hr. come down and get it from the reception i said nobody to bring as i am ready for shower, he said no i am always alone "
"Only stayed the night and checked in late, so couldn’t appreciate the restaurant, bar, gym, sauna or attached casino Check in was friendly and efficient - although downside was having to go back down to reception after the room key didn’t work Wasn’t an issue as I was too busy enjoying the lovely decor in the hotel - I like its stylish contemporary feel Room itself was extremely spacious and with the facilities you require Love the walk in shower too Breakfast spread was very good and decent variety Happily recommend this place "
"Situated in the heart of the Gelderland province, the hotel allows for a central hub for day trips into the heart of the Netherlands, and even Western Germany. I was surprised by how nice the hotel is. Very modern and large, well appointed rooms. While a minor detail, the staff, while extremely friendly, also tended to be a little slow. The breakfast buffet was really nice, but the room service menu was extremely limited. There is an indoor pool on the top floor, a small exercise room and a spa. The hours that they’re open though were limited. I would have preferred to exercise in the morning before we left for the day, but the exercise room did not open until 8am; considering though that it is situated over guest rooms, it makes perfect sense. Overall, the hotel was truly nice and we would happily stay there again."

"What a property! When I first saw the location of this hotel, out in the boonies, I was a little leary. When you first step inside it is wow and stays that way until you leave. The staff is great and the lounge and restaurant meet the standards expected of an excellent property."
"I had several days holiday and stayed at 4 different VdV properties, including VdV Arnhem. The room and amenities were as expected; comfortable, clean and with a special atmosphere that is uniquely VdV, which I have come to appreciate when traveling in Europe. However, I was very surprised by the poor attitude and offensive rudeness of the staff @ Arnhem, specifically with regard to the restaurant and dining experience. Because of this, I cancelled my pre-paid breakfasts and enjoyed excellent dinners at a nearby restaurant not associated with the hotel. I won't return to this hotel for fear that the staff is not up to par with the usual friendly and personal experience I have come to expect from other VdV hotels and restaurants. I hope other travellers will not have the same experience."
"A nic hotel, friendly staf, and good food, spacious room. And flexibele with the boeking dates. Do nog expecr a modern hightech place butgood quality at a Good Price. Well located at no cost for the car"

"Hi, I’m a brutish tourist, who does not understand the functions of the Netherlands, this ranges from cigarette machines to buses. All of the staff here are lovely. Massive shout out to Brit, jost, mike and victor. All lovely characters. Mike is my G, he sorted me out when no one else could. So if you ever stay here remember the Asian man mike. He will genuinely make sure you have a fab trip. Mangment should deffo give this guy a pay rise or something coz he fab"
"A wonderful hotel in between hills and forest that makes you wonder if you are actually in the Netherlands. We enjoyed a mini suite there which was very nice with a terrace and view on the garden. The rooms are modern and new, though the building is old. A great ambiance. You can enjoy breakfast inside but also outside on the terrace. We booked it through a social deal coupon and we surprised by the quality of the hotel. You can rent a bike or take a wonderful walk through the area. A wonderful escape from all the business. Although the interior design of the hallways could be a bit more cosy."
"This hotel is located just outside Berg en Dal very close to the German border. Great place for hiking and also excellent for bussiness meetings. Parking can be a pain if there are a lot of meetings, but the rooms are kingsize, the breakfast selection excellent and the dinner options are great too. Free Wifi which you need as mobile phone reception is poor in this area. The scenery is marvellous, un-Dutch. Recommended."
