I have visited Parramatta for work on quite a number of occasions now and despite there being many hotels for me to choose from - this is the only place I will stay. From the moment you arrive the staff are just wonderful. Thanks definitely need to go to Jessica, the last 2 times I have been greeted by her, I've been tired after my drive. The first time she gave me some snacks and suggested I go to my room, put my feet up and enjoy...this time I arrived to 44 degree heat and she immediately offered and handed me a cold bottle of water and made my check in a breeze each time. The rooms are clean and spacious and have everything your own home would have, plus more. The pool - I could have stayed by all day. This place is a must stay when in Parramatta.

Great location. A number of cafes and restaurants within a 1-2 minute walk from the hotel. There’s also a large Westfield shopping complex about a 10-minute walk away, with even more restaurants and retail stores for your perusing. For those taking public transport, Parramatta train station is a similar distance (shopping centre and train station are side-by-side), which is an easy/flat walk to and from the hotel.
During our stay, we were liaising with Claire, who was brilliant throughout. We had three rooms booked, and she looked after us all very well. The staff overall were friendly, and the rooms were renovated and modern. The buffet breakfast was not an overly large in selection, but a good amount of options to choose from.

I booked this night away to celebrate a special occasion The hotel was nice and ckean, but I felt like I paid for a five-star experience and received a three-star one. Room service was extremely expensive and glacial (1 hr 20 mins for a bottle of water and a can of ginger beer @$17.50). Overall, very little to complain about but nothing to rave about either.

More generally, the balcony and the other people's room. Hard to find if you don't drive. The price is acceptable. The toilet is old and the bathroom door is broken and not repaired. Need to be refurbished.

25 December 11:50pm I arrived at Hills Lodge after my husband had booked me in online. I requested an upgrade for my room which I mentioned I was willing and able to pay for but was informed I was in the last room available for the night a queen standard. This was a 15+ minutes conversation which matters because I had informed the front desk team I had just been discharged for severely swollen legs and high blood pressure needed to rest immediately. A lovely porter assisted me with my bags and acknowledged my interaction with front desk had been challenging and difficult to understand. When we arrived at the room the bed was not made the sheets were sloppy tucked under the pillows and the sheets werehanging out of the sides and there was a big dip in the middle like someone had been sitting there , I was SHOCKED I told the porter who tried to convince me the bed was made and it had just been made in a rush. I refused to settle in as I could tell it was an unmade bed , I then saw a bin with RUBBISH in it, 2 Pepsi cans, KFC packets and showed him, he checked the bathroom and saw towels on the rack and open soap at the sink. He apologised and told me he’d call reception to organise another room. He tried to convince me this was unusual for the hotel. I was still aghast as the cost did not correlate with this tardiness. The front desk then organised another room for me down the hall “an upgrade” they said. It was a suite with a separate lounge - however to my surprise I had been told there was no more rooms available when I checked in 30mins before and there’s no way they would have prepared a room in 20mins. The room was presentable but the curtain had a big red stain on it (forgot to take a picture) and the carpet dusty and old. I told my husband of my experience but because it was 1am on Boxing Day and the state of my body I had nowhere else to go. I stayed there till the morning and left early for personal reasons and thankful I did not have to stay another moment there. A few days later I called the hotel and told them my ordeal - the manager was polite but I was disappointed in how he kept trying to excuse the front desk’s behaviour. He told me how another guest had given the front desk guy a glowing review. I was not rude when I called him but just factual and encouraged him to make improvements for his team and in how they receive guests. His comments made me wonder why would the front desk treat me like that. I was unwell, with a baby in hospital and a husband away. Did I not deserve compassion and good customer service. It made me wonder was it the colour of my skin? I’ll never know but one thing I know is to encourage you to speak out if something looks wrong! You’re paying for this service and if you’re going to stay at Hills Lodge - good luck. I would not personally use my hard earned dollars to stay there. Very disappointed customer. Hills Lodge - excellence matters not sure how you got 4 stars but please DO BETTER!

Jacqueline from the restaurant is an asset. All staff were friendly and reliable, only negative is that there was a shortage of staff of an evening and for breakfast. We watched people enter and leave as they weren’t acknowledged by staff who were busy either getting orders or making coffee. There should be 1 person to meet, greet and sit while others are addressing customer needs. The wait for simple things sometimes was lengthy. At times we saw other tables insist on their orders coming out quickly as they were in a hurry and yet we waited over 45m for our order placed before them (& we were also on a time limit). The continental breakfast is not communicated (we had a full breakfast and didn’t realise we could access this table). Overall staff were great, but you really need an extra person morning and night.

Since the city was so busy with their massive event, we decided to move outside of the city and this hotel was the best choice that we made. It was really peaceful and we had our best sleep here which is the first time for the Sydney trip. The room is spacious with beautiful little details and amenities. In addition, the service is excellent too, Eranja the Front Office Manager has always been helpful during our stay! They also have a sought-after restaurant complex which was so great in terms of foods choices and quality, as well as the ambience, never seen something like this before in Sydney, it is a must try!

Great location, a short walk to the Town Centre (which by the way has to be one of the best shopping complexes I have been too), ample parking and very clean/modern/ comfortable room. Pool was handy for a quick dip and the gym looked like it had all the latest equipmemt. Lovely breakfast was included (for adult) and was taken next door at the adjoining Fiddler. Only downside was absence of room service, which I was advised was not available on weekends. All in all, very easy and enjoyable get away shopping trip which I enjoyed with my teenage daughter.

Great location based on my needs, travelling for work. Rooms were very spacious and clean and reception staff very friendly.
There is car parking also available at the property which was handy.

When I came back, the Door was ajar one of the nights of my stay. (Lucky nothing was stolen)
Hotel charged me extra for the stay without informing me and it is difficult to connect to the hotel to ask about this charge..
Room does not have toothbrush

The bed is very big, and it won't fall off when you turn over. I don't know why many beds in Australia are generally too small. The choice of this one depends on the size of the bed.

The pool was good and refreshing. Bed was nice but the hotel overall was abit hot as the AC was very weak. Got upgraded which was very good! Parking for free and buffet breakfast $24 if you pre book!

It feels like the hotel is a little old house, there is no elevator, and it is not friendly to people with a lot of luggage. I stayed for three nights, except for the pain of moving luggage, and the foreigner's service attitude was ok. However, it started to rain the next day, and when I slept, I found that there was a little water dripping from the ceiling on the bed. Although there were not many, the sleeping position was much smaller. We told the front desk the next morning and they said they would help us change a room. Because we were in a hurry to go out, we didn't let them change immediately, but when we came back in the afternoon, we found that they had changed our rooms and moved everything from our original room to the new one. Their work efficiency is good, but since we didn't tell them before we went out that they need to help us move things, they took the initiative to move our unpacked or open luggage to a new room. In this way, when we picked up the luggage, we found that the luggage was messy (they simply covered the luggage with the zipper in the middle compartment), and took some time to rearrange it by ourselves. Although I didn't lose anything, I was still uncomfortable.

The stay was very comfortable, so I booked the same for two days. The Australians were very real, so we had to change rooms, because it was a different order, the breakfast was average. There were only a dozen rooms at this point, which was relatively quiet and a good one stay
