9, rue de l'église, Malbuisson, Bourgogne-Franche-Comte, France
"this place was very nice. great view from the terrace and could enjoy the quietness and calmness of the place. great place to escape from the busy world. family suite was spacious . the only thing we never like is the breakfast. the food were good but the service is not. no one checks if theres a need to fill up the food on the table. we have to ask extra the reception to look for it. breakfast is not included in the room, so for extra payment for breakfast is not so worth it. and not even complimentary water in the room. "
"This hotel was the best surprise of our summer tour on which we visited 5 hotel. The rooms are in fact small apartments very spacious. They are very clean and well equipped. The balcony was very large and with a nice relaxing view over the lake. The swimming pool is also very nice, with good dimensions and also a nice view. The Spa is a little too small and only has 1 shower. The only regret is for not having a direct access to the lake which is just a few meters away."
"We stayed on night at the hotel. It is located at the lake and the rooms have a beautiful view on the lake. The reception personnel was very friendly and helpful. The rooms are spacious and functional. Breakfast was good. Overall, I can very much recommend the hotel. "

3, Place Saint-Pierre, Pontarlier, Bourgogne-Franche-Comte, France
"Nicely located in the old part of the city. Big terrace out front. Breakfast buffet was great....fresh fruit salad, huge croissants, cheeses, etc Our room was small but manageable. Wifi ok. I would stay here again."
"As a group of three friends we were hiking in the Jura. We had reserved to stay in this hotel by credit card, unfortunately a mistake by the hotel meant the room was double booked and we were shifted to the Kyriad on the industrial estate (which they did reserve on our behalf). However as walkers we had already covered 27km that day - on arriving in Pontarlier we had to walk an additional 45 mins to get to the hotel (and out again on the next day). We never saw the town centre as we were just too tired at the end of our day. We had to eat in chain restaurant next to the hotel. It was fine, but a far cry from the authentic experience we had hoped of."
"An ordinary hotel, nothing that really stands out. A little bit disturbing with the collage chock tight outside the Windows, but esrplugs helped save the night. But friendly service an great breakfast! "

Le Mont des Verrières, Verrieres-de-Joux, Bourgogne-Franche-Comte, France
"My wife and I just spent two nights at this new deluxe hideaway in an unspoiled corner of the Jura, between Pontarlier (F) and Fleurier (CH). The restoration of this old farm has been done with local skills in wood and stone, yet with many ultra-modern features like the lighting and bathroom controls. The huge garden terrace is set in fields, perfect for apéritifs, breakfast - or even a sauna in winter. The young staff team gave us perfect service and a light-hearted ambience. Also the cuisine is excellent and the wine cellar is extensive. We took the "chef's surprise menu" both evenings and discovered several original wines proposed as accompaniments. There are beautiful hiking trails and serious ski de fond pistes in winter. Overall this place is a real delight. But book early as they are getting to be known nowadays."
"The hotel is located on a top of a hill, between the Swiss and French border. The hotel itself and the rooms are amazingly decorated, chalet style, but all elements fit together, wood carved lamps, stone shower place, etc. The rooms look like the photo's. Staff was very friendly and made my stay a very welcome one. Next time Jura, I stay here again. The restaurant was amazing as well. The food was incredible."
"I visited the hotel in July for a work seminar and all attendees really enjoyed their 2-night stay. The restaurant was incredible, with very novel dishes and perfectly matching wines to complete the experience. The rooms very spacious and cute, with great wifi too, rounding-off a great blend of new technologies with traditional architecture. A real boutique experience."

65 Grande Rue, Malbuisson, Bourgogne-Franche-Comte, France
"I prefer smaller hotels so this was a bit large for my taste. However, it is well run with friendly staff and the views towards the lake, if you are on that side of the hotel, are attractive. Dinner was fine and reasonably priced and breakfast was exceptionally good with delicious fresh bread, home made jams and a wide range of other options. Oddly, for these days, our room only had a bath and no shower at all."
"The hotel restaurant was fully booked when we booked due in no small way to a coach party, so we were directed to one of their other eateries next door, Reataurant Du Frmage, which turned out to be rather pleasant. Our room was creaky but roomy, akthough with the 18 stairs plus the lift to the 2nd floor was a bit too much for my wife. Breakfast i the hotel restaurant was enjoyable with a view of the lake."
"I have enjoyed both visits to this hotel. The staff are pleasant and welcoming, the room comfortable and the food very good. It is a lovely area to visit and I hope to repeat the experience next year and as long as I can make the journey."

4 route des Gorges de Nouailles, Mouthier-Haute-Pierre, Bourgogne-Franche-Comte, France
"We stayed here with friends last week having booked demi pension through Logis de France. The hotel is in a beautiful setting overlooking the river. We were offered 3 menus at supper which we chose from. My husband’s local truite menu was excellent as was the other meals in the other menu. Service was good particularly from the young waiter. We were asked to settle our bill for the stay at the end of the evening as the owner said they don’t have the reception staffed in the morning, we were happy to comply. We were then presented with an enormous bill which was totally unrelated to that booked....obviously we expected drinks added but the bill was inflated with the room and separate dinner charges. We were expecting to pay the difference between the cheapest menu provided and the next choice up, around €5 more pp but this wasn’t the reason for the difference. The owner told us we couldn’t have the demi pension price as this was only for a 2 night stay and we were being charged @€200 more at least... Luckily I had photographed our booking contract with Logis and showed the owner. He told us to pay his bill in full & take up with Logis, we explained that we were happy to pay the bill as per our booking & they would need to deal with Logis as we would be unlikely to get our money back. The owner then became extremely abusive, waving his arms around agitated and complaining about ‘English tourists’ etc etc. This ranting continued saying we had to pay this over inflated bill, we reiterated we’re happy to pay as per contract, the owner then said he was calling the police...we said ok, he then stopped but continued his rant & abusive behaviour calling his burly chef out also. The young waiter was very embarrassed & tried to assist both in translation and negotiation, a one point we thought we were going to have to leave with nowhere to go at a late hour.... Such bad behaviour spoilt what would have been a lovely meal & stay, beware & check your bill if you stay there."

65 Grande Rue, Malbuisson, Bourgogne-Franche-Comte, France
"Our littlest lost the key to the room. This was very unfortunate, but I refuse to believe that this is the only time such an event has occurred. Huge drama, we were first told that the room had to remain unlocked for the whole day as there was no spare key (bear in mind there is also no front desk so anyone can walk in off the street, additionally there is no safe in the room). Later in the evening, they found to their surprise that the cleaner had a key. We were given that key but told we had to pay for the lock to be changed. Room is fine but exceedingly hot and there are no blinds on one window so kids were woken by the dawn. To put this into perspective, I am sure there are ruder staff at hotels. Nevertheless, it was surprising."

RN57 LA VRINE, Vuillecin, Bourgogne-Franche-Comte, France
"This hotel is right next to the N57 which is busy with traffic during the day. However, the walls are thick and the windows are very effectively double-glazed so it is calm and tranquil inside! It made an ideal over-night stop on the way to Switzerland. This is a "Logis" hotel, and so is individual and not "chain". Comfortable, good food and good value!"

68 rue de Salins, Pontarlier, Bourgogne-Franche-Comte, France
"Arrived without booking and the hotel was full. Decided to stay in the adjoining Ibis Budget and the room was clean well air conditioned and good value for money. We took a table in the Hotel Ibis having eaten there a few years back and written a shining report of the dining experience. This time however was not the same. Food was adequate but the choice was limited. The staff were pleasant (obviously some were new and training) and overall the experience was reasonable but nothing to over enthuse about. Will probably choose another hotel next time on one of our frequent trips from the UK to Switzerland."
"Stayed here for one night. It was excellent value for money. We received a friendly welcome, the room was clean and the beds comfortable. We had a rather dreary view of the Géant supermarket next door but everything else was fine. Breakfast was fairly good and staff friendly. Parking is plentiful. "
"At least in this hotel you are not a expected guest, but if you are already there, then the staff will tolerate you. No trace of IBIS much promised sleep quality, old mattresses and in the morning back pain. All the bed was old, any additional pillow, and on towels was saved. I really do not remember when at last time we had so poor breakfast buffet. If you are a member of IBIS loyalty program then in this hotel you can not use your points, the staff ignore your rights."
