Av. Adeje 300, 11, Adeje, Canary Islands, Spain
"Initially booked for one night direct with H10 as we were staying in an apartment in Puerto de la Cruz, driving around the island and fancied one night to chill. Went online the morning before due to go and found a 25% code meaning we got a privilege suite all inclusive for £265 for one night, so decided to do the 2 nights! Got to the hotel around midday and the room was already ready which was great as we had advised we would be there around lunch time. Could pay for the room for the Friday (2 separate bookings) but did manage to stay in the same room as they were in the same category. The hotel is split into 3 blocks, block 3 being for Privilege and has the rooftop infinity pool and bar at the top of this block. Underground parking is also offered exclusively for privilege customers, accessed around the side of block 3, with your room keycard for access, lift directly up to our floor. The room was fantastic! The suite is huge, with 2 bathrooms and plenty of storage cupboards. Huge living room with TV and minibar area and then a large bedroom with stunning views of the sea. Absolutely loved the room, simply decorated and with a hot tub on the wrap around terrace. We were room 3417. Only gripes were no hairdryer, called down and had to call down 2 more times and send my fiancé to go and see where it was to bump into the maid bringing one up, all in all 45 minutes. I couldn’t wash my hair without a hair dryer and this delayed us. Rooftop pool is stunning and with it being a small infinity pool it does get warmed up nicely by the sun (I think it is heated too) bar area nice and a few tables and chairs to sit if you didn’t want to sit on a lounger. Very well presented. Privilege restaurant closed our first night which we weren’t made aware of at check in, nor the fact we had to book into any of the restaurants which was not great. Ate in the Italian as the Japanese also closed and had a lovely piece of cod, fiancé had the pasta. Service was fantastic. Almost everything is available on the privilege all inclusive, other than some of the more expensive wines and expensive vodkas etc. Tried the privilege restaurant the second night and thoroughly enjoyed the meals we had and again the wine. We would happily return to this hotel again, room and privilege really are worth paying the extra to me and my partner and we have done this before with the H10 Esmerelda in Fuerteventura. "
"There are very few hotels in the world where you can visit and feel instantly part of the family, H10 Atlantic Sunset is one of them. I have reviewed this five-star hotel before as 5* and am happy to do so again despite not being able to revisit just yet. Throughout the entire Coronavirus pandemic the hotel family have worked tirelessly to ensure that my needs and expectations are met without hesitation or quarrel. Initially I was due to spend my 30th birthday at AS but of course this was not possible, so the family worked hard for me to ensure that my booking could be reallocated to another date to suit me, completely free of charge, taking into account my preference for the suite that I book. After 4 changes, both occupancy level and dates, they still remain happy to assist me and that is absolutely what matters to me. Personalisation and customer service are key. Although every single member of the family deserves praise I would like to send my special thanks to a selection of people: Marc Balañá for his outstanding attention to detail and personalistion, Carolien van Oorschot for her impeccable customer service and the way in which she represents H10, Iago Cela for his continual professional assistance and for taking an interest in my photography at the hotel; and finally Lucia Toledo... who has had to put up with me CONSTANTLY annoying her with my requests. She has always remained determined to help, polite and ready to spread happiness to the guests of H10 AS. I sincerely hope that Jordi Espelt, CEO of H10, reads this and that the family at H10 AS receive the congratulations they deserve. See you all again in October (I hope!)"
"We enjoyed our stay at the fabulous H10 Atlantic Sunset hotel despite the impending threat of Coronavirus. The staff were fantastic in making us feel safe and welcome despite the challenges faced by the virus. I hope they all stay safe and secure in their jobs as the outbreak unfolds. The hotel is beautiful. Our room and the lovely infinity pool were the highlights. The staff were fantastic in making our holiday extra relaxing. Special mention goes to Enzo, Georgia and Merida of the entertainment team for their daily exercise classes. We were lucky enough to benefit from some demonstration massages that Enzo organised in conjunction with the SPA . The Flamenco night was the highlight of the evening entertainment. The low numbers of guests meant that there was little atmosphere at the evening events. Better stage lighting in the theatre would also help create a better atmosphere. We ate every evening in the Market Place buffet restaurant. The food was fresh and varied but not particularly exciting. The themed Mexican evening and the feast of langoustines were the most memorable aspects of the dinners. The proximity to the stop for the 471 bus into Adeje and Los Cristianos was useful as was the hotel’s own shuttle. There is a limited amount to do in the area adjacent to the hotel. The exception is the excellent Roca Negra bar which is great for a sundowner cocktail or a meal. We enjoyed the Italian daily special dishes on the day of our departure. I hope to return to this hotel and Tenerife in the future. Best wishes to the staff at these difficult times."

"Another idyllic visit to the Salome (our fifth to date with more to come). All the best features have been retained post-refurb and those aspects that were marginally less than perfect have been improved. We were slightly concerned about the Skandi minimalist rooms before this February stay (we haven't visited since the refurb) but we need not have been. Our room was luxurious, comfortable and with heavenly sea-views. The tranquillity of the Salome "compound" was as relaxing as ever with warm pool and Jacuzzi (yes, almost unique in the Canaries actually to have a warm swimming pool!) and the plentiful supply of sunbeds and umbrellas meant that there was no unseemly "bagging" of space at 7.0 a.m! This time we went across the road to the Spa and had, what we both agreed, was the best massage ever - not cheap but worth every Euro.Amazingly relaxing. Our concierge, Francisco (Frank) was wonderful and nothing was too much trouble and he was ably supported by Kim (lovely to see you again Kim) and Alex. Frank had spent some time in the market town nearest us (Chepstow) and totally "got" my desperation to watch the 6 Nations (even offering to screen it in the Cinema complex for me, if needs be!). Unfortunately Wales lost but our divine stay at the Salome meant that everybody felt like a winner. Many thanks (we will return!) and best wishes to Richard on the health front - we missed you, so get well soon. Dr and Mrs N H Williams"
"Well first off ,huge thanks to Kim /Alejandro/Frank/Valentina for all their help as our flights were cancelled due to the sandstorm & jet 2 were close to useless with information. So this is our 4th visit to this amazing tranquil paradise, the hotel is all white which is very peaceful & calming ,it is immaculate so well done to the amazing housekeeping staff & maintenance .we are very fortunate to come here these last few years & each time it feels like coming home ,I really can't think anything to find fault with ,the Salome is just perfect, from a lovely welcome bottle of cava in your room to the comfy beds, breakfast on the terrace with a glass of moet if you feel like it,at the pool you need never leave your Sun lounger as at the touch of a button you can have anything delivered to you ,there's also the extra little touches like the cool towels /the mid morning aperatife we had delicious mozzarella& tomato skewer ,overall the Salome vibe is relaxing ,so head here to chill you won't be disappointed."
"Well, just back from what must be either our 6th or 7th visit to Salomé. Prior to discovering this wee oasis, we had holidayed 6 times @ Casas Ducale in Hotel Bahía Del Duque. Salomé is, for us, far superior and we wouldn’t consider now staying anywhere else in Costa Adeje. The rooms are lovely, everything is spotlessly clean. Pool area is fantastic and great sun deck areas with fab loungers, towels and bar service. We always stay bed & breakfast ( which is beautifully served in our own very tranquil area) but chose to dine in Zeus buffet on a few evenings. Food was delicious, and excellent choices. What really makes this holiday is the level of wonderful service from delightful staff, from housekeeping to managerial levels. Kim, ably assisted by Alejandro, and the butlers Fran, Elsa and Valentina, ensure that everything is 100% What more can I say? I don’t actually want to share Salomé with anybody else! Roll on November!"

Calle La Costa, s/n,Alcala, Guia de Isora, Canary Islands, Spain
"This is a really attractive, well laid out and located hotel, with beautiful gardens, several lovely pools and fabulous sea views from the grounds and some of the bars/restaurants. The rooms/bathrooms are nicely and stylishly furnished. The staff (particularly at Red Level, but also throughout the hotel) are friendly, fun and attentive. It is a huge hotel, and obviously does big events there, but the layout means you rarely feel overwhelmed - there are lots of lovely areas to relax in. Our only real gripe was about the food and restaurant system. It may well have been a seasonal thing (early March), and exacerbated by coronavirus disruption, but we got very confused about which restaurants were open and when, and by the limited choice on some evenings. A big thing is made about needing to book everything (you don't really want that stress on holiday!), but when you arrive, lots of empty tables! I'm afraid the 'signature' gourmet restaurant 'La Terrace' was a serious disappointment. The view and ambience is terrific, but the food was much too fussy and missed the mark. The portions are tiny, the fish just not fresh, and the pudding was a gloopy and sickly mess - honestly, the meal made us feel nauseous afterwards and most of the next day. Please - you have so much potential in this restaurant and this place - the food could be just beautifully cooked, classic, local and fresh food. Again, this hotel has a lot to recommend it, but a few things really need sorting."
"Despite the limitations imposed by Covid, my husband and I spent our honeymoon at this stunning hotel. THe attention to detail was faultless. The room was comfortable: the mattress was wonderful. The toiletries were by Clarins. At receptions, Francesca and Gala were outstanding in their efforts to make our stay unforgettable - and they succeeded. Every member of the staff wore a mask at all times, uncomplaining. Cleaning and disinfecting were constant - for example, every pane of glass was washed and polished late into the night and at early morning. As soon as a guest walked away from a table, the table and chairs were cleaned and sanitised. Although the hotel can hold 1.500 people, the landscaping made every corner into a lush and welcoming discovery. During my entire week, I never encountered a leaf of lettuce. The buffet, the Oasis Grill and the Duo steakhouse offered innovative and imaginative dishes. My husband and I would return in a heartbeat."
"We stayed in the hotel for 4 days and really enjoyed our stay. Because of the red level upgrade, we were able to enjoy an elaborated a la carte breakfast, free water and coffee during the whole day, snacks and free (alcoholic drinks) between 5.30pm and 6.30pm. We had a half board stay and enjoyed the restaurant options, we went both to Duo and Oasis. Also the amount and sizes of the pools were great. They were all open, even though there were less guests due to COVID-19. The staff was also very friendly and helpful! Only small remark: there were a lot of Spanish speaking guests and the staff assumes that everyone can understand Spanish. Sometimes it would be good to first ask."

"We booked a 4-night stay at Baobab Suites very last minute through secret escapes. The hotel is in a lovely area of Tenerife, and only a 10 minute (although very steep) walk to the beach with crystal clear and warm water, which appears to be popular with locals. We were kindly upgraded to a much larger room with a big kitchen, separate bedroom, and a sun-soaked terrace facing the garden (Divinity Eden). After realising we had been upgraded we asked if we could be moved back to our original, much smaller studio room after one night, as this had a shared pool on the balcony. This was organised for us within a few hours. We had to share the pool with two rooms on either side of us, but we only heard someone in it once, so we basically had it to ourselves. It appeared small at first but was surprisingly large and great to do a few lengths or jump into from your terrace as a break from the 30-degree heat. Both of our rooms were lovely, with massive, comfy beds and lovely walk-in showers. Although the buffet breakfast was closed, we ordered for the next day off a long list of options to be served in our room. We are always nervous when going abroad as we are vegan and it can sometimes be hard to find food. We did not struggle to eat at Baobab Suites at all, with soya/almond milk, fruit, bread, jam, cereal and beans available for breakfast and a beyond burger available in the restaurant or for room service. The bar was also lovely on an evening for a cocktail, and the staff working there were friendly and accomodating. In terms of COVID-19, we felt extremely safe. There was hand sanitiser available all around the hotel, and as with everywhere in Spain, masks are mandatory at all times, even down the street, a lovely change from the UK. We were even expected to wear them to accept room service, which we were happy about. The entire place was extremely clean and hygienic, and as the hotel was quite quiet we had no issues with social distancing. I would definitely recommend Baobab Suites for a stay in Tenerife!!"
"A second wonderful stay at the Baobab Suites – even/ especially in these crazy times. Don’t let Covid or quarantine put you off, I felt safer in Tenerife than I do at my local supermarket. It’s worth the quarantine! The hotel has adapted well, with masks worn by everyone and lots of hand sanitiser everywhere. Sadly the restaurant is shut for now, which is a real shame, but the suites are so spacious eating breakfast in them was fine. The breakfast did get a little repetitive, and we missed the huge variety of the old breakfast, but these are unprecedented times, so it really wasn’t an issue. Plus they’d try and accommodate anything extra you asked for (like waffles, bacon and raw eggs so you could cook them anyway you liked). The children’s club was also shut, which again was a shame but expected. The gym and wellness centre are open though. We had a few beauty treatments and they were so, so good. Last year we went half-board, but this year we just did B&B and ate out/ got takeaway every night. There are some really great restaurants around; lots of reasonably priced, good places in The Duke centre down the road, and lovely spots on the beach which were a bit pricier. The staff, all of them, are friendly and can’t do enough to help. We’re already planning our visit next year, and can’t wait to be back. Thank you for a truly wonderful stay!"
"My partner and friend stayed in a One Bedroom Suite with private pool. The rooms were great, very modern and clean. Plenty of space so perfect for small families with or without the pool. The private pool is a great little extra if you want a bit of piece and quiet or just don't want to leave your room area. This would be ideal for a young family who like to travel and stick to routine as it has everything you could need in the room to not have to leave. Hotel itself is great. Good grounds, decent position and not far from the beach. The only downside was the food. On half board you are limited to where and what you can eat which wasn't made fully clear at the start and there wasn't an compromise. While we will return we shall only do so on a room only basis or if they changed there dining options to give better choice even if it was at a small supplement. "

"I am a passionate of hôtels and I had always thought that the day I had come to Tenerife I would stay at Bahia del Duque. To be honest we are not passionate of big hotels or resorts but it’s true that BdD delivers the perfect holiday experience. Once you arrive you are welcome by friendly porters, perfectly dressed in their typical uniforms. Check in was fast and then we were quickly escorted to our room with one of their buggy. The room was very spacious, perfectly appointed. Traditional and modern at same time. Breakfast in the morning was HUGE. Never seen something like that! A lot of food...and always friendly staff. The pools are large. Only one is heated but we could have a quick swim also in the cold one. In February! The beach is just out of the garden gates: 2 mètres and you have your foot in the sand! The beach is managed by the hotel but it’s not included and local people can use it too. The prices are cheap. We used the spa for one day and it was very nice (especially the massage). There is a little charge for it, definitely worth as you have a peaceful and exclusive experience. The service in the resort is always present, not oppressive, very professional and friendly. The night we arrived Tenerife suffered a thunderstorm of sand coming from the Sahara (locals call it Calita) something extraordinarily strong, that impacted all the streets, hotels, gardens. But starting the following morning, all the staff were working hard to fix everything. And they did it very quickly! Since I love hotels, I had a tour in all the five stars property around BdD and, to be honest, no one looked better to me. We were very curious to see the Ritz Carlton Abama so we want there for dinner once. Despite it is very posh and modern, it was like “lost in the middle of nowhere”, with a sense of total isolation. So, we would chose BdD again for its position (walking distance to local bars, restaurants), the beautiful promenade in front of it for a perfect run and, overall, for the relaxed and friendly atmosphere: it will grant you a perfect holiday!"
"I had a fantastic stay. The hotel is large & it took me a little while to get my bearings, but it made for happy exploration. The design of the hotel won’t be everyone’s cup of tea, indeed, I’m not normally a fan of big scale, pastiche type properties, but it’s all done so beautifully & with no expense spared, in the style of a Spanish colonial village. It’s set in acres of mature, tiered garden, with little bridges here & there, flamboyant staircases & myriad nooks & lounging spaces. The hotel has direct access to Playa del Duque, which is public of course, as is the case across Spain. My room was in the Casa Ducales quarter & was absolutely gorgeous, decorated to a very high standard, with a supremely comfy bed, & small terrace plus additional Juliet balcony. Bathrooms are luxurious in Ducales with excellent showers & a generous selection of toiletries. Staff were outstandingly helpful at all times, providing friendly but professional service. The hotel has a dizzying array of restaurants but sadly many were shuttered during my mid Covid stay. It was a shame not to see the place at full buzz, but the upside was a tranquil, low pressure vibe. Breakfast was a decent buffet spread & my dinner at their Italian Restaurant, Trattoria pretty good. The hotel is a short cab ride to La Caleta & Playa del Las America’s so there’s lots of dining options close by. The hotel is very well run, absolutely immaculate & hot on Covid security. I really enjoyed my stay & felt very pleased with my choice."
"Long overdue review on the sensational Bahia del Duque as we stayed in July and seeing Tenerife come out of quarantine last week made me remember what a wonderful week we had. If you are looking for a 5 star resort on the sea in the most gorgeous part of Tenerife then Bahia del Duque is for you. This was our 1st visit to Tenerife as our go to travel company Design Holidays recommended it and we had a super offer. We loved it so much we are going back in 2021 100%"
