"My wife and I decided to take a last minute baby-moon to Newport. We stayed in the Tudor Suite. The room was wonderful, it was well appointed and made with quality. The service was exceptional before, during, and after our stay. A week before our reservation the concierge called me to confirm we had no changes in our plan, if we required reservations to any restaurant and whether we had any other requests for our stay. Every one of our requests was accommodated during our stay and after check out they held our luggage, car, and allowed us to continue using their car service so that we could go exploring for a while longer . When my very pregnant wife got hungry in the late afternoon one of the days The Café at Chanler sat us down and still served us even though they were closed in preparation for dinner service. The car service proved to be very useful and excellent, showing up within a few minutes of being called and comfortably ferrying between our destinations around town and then back to the hotel. Coming during the off season was nice too as none of the attractions were crowded, we had a clam and enjoyable experience. There are quite a few amenities available at the Chanler some which are at an extra cost but well worth it. We had a truly wonderful time and hope to stay at The Chanler again at our earliest opportunity."
"We stayed in one of the garden rooms, it had separate entrance, private jacuzzi, and a cute terrace with table. Though the room was small, it was beautifully furnished and had a lovely bathroom with shower jets and jetted tub. We stayed with 2 kids and really enjoyed it. When I called to book, spoke to someone who was extremely helpful, answered all my covid questions and helped me choose the best room for my family. Great service at this hotel, perfect location off the cliff walk. They provided beach chairs and towels for us when we asked. Only thing that could have been better was having a concierge to help recommend and make dining reservations for us, but it wasn’t a big deal. Would definitely stay again. "
"Outstanding Weekend Stay at the Chanler. Absolutely top notch accommodations. Staff was friendly and very attentive to our needs. Limo service around the city was certainly a highlight. A full breakfast was included in the package and it was very good. Felt like an Inn but with 5 star service. It is a bit on the expensive side but if your looking for a first class experience, the Chanler is a great option."

"We (my husband, dog and myself) stayed at the Pelham court this past Thursday into Friday (1/24) and I cannot say enough about the accommodations, staff and location. We had gone to Newport for the sad loss of of a dear family elder. The hotel is right in the centre of town. Walking distance to all important places. Including Saint Mary’s church (where jfk married Jackie) and The Moorings ( a famous restaurant on the water) we arrived late Thursday evening and the staff was sure to let us know what to expect for late check-in. To our surprise they had upgraded our studio to a 1BR suite. This act of kindness and generosity really warmed our hearts. The suite was beautiful. So well appointed. Tumbled marble bathroom with sea glass colored accents. Plush towels and a oh so comfy bed. The kitchen has everything you may need and even a gas fireplace. The colors are warm, calming and modern. This place is gorgeous. The courtyard that greets you is truly colonial upon entry from parking. Yes, parking. What a great bonus for the location. Lastly the continental breakfast was delicious. Nespresso coffee machine, warm bagels and fresh pastries. We want to thank the staff for making a difficult visit so wonderful. I will be sure to tell everyone how great the Pelham court is. Maddy, Bill and Thurman (the dog)"
"This place is amazing! I stayed in a one-bedroom apartment. Very clean, spacious. My friends booked a one-bedroom and were upgraded to a two-bedroom, which was such a nice surprise. Jay, Kayla and Francesca were very helpful and caring to our needs everyday. Location couldn't be better: it in the middle of action but on side street, so you do not get the noise and traffic of Thames St. If you have a dog, this is the friendliest place and very convenient, with a nice park on next block. With COVID-19 safety is always on our minds, I felt very safe staying here. Cleaning was on everyday, fresh towels and lines provided by the door (no cleaning inside was perfect!), all communication was done by text.. Did I mention parking? Yes, parking is right next to apartments so made it easy to unload/load. Kitchen had the basics, could use some more furnishing but did not hurt as I didn't cook much. I strongly recommend this place and am very thankful for it. So much that I already made reservations for next stay :)"
"This beautiful facility is a delightful collection of great rooms with the best location in Newport. With a great staff attending to every need our stay was thoroughly enjoyable. Our extended family stayed in multiple rooms and apartments and had a great week enjoying all that Newport has to offer while returning to Pelham Court’s warmth and comfort for treasured family time. We’ll be back..."

"We were disappointed in our stay. When we booked, we specifically selected "water view" and the room was advertised as having 2 "queen" beds. Although perhaps both were technically true, we certainly felt ripped off. The view we had was actually into the atrium where you could technically see the water through a window all the way across the atrium - a couple hundred feet away. The beds may have been bigger than full but were at least 6" less than a typical 60" wide queen. Since we paid extra for the view we didn't feel it was worth the price. The room out of that context was nice, but it had no complementary bottled water or coffee and at checkout we were told that was due to Covid somehow which made no sense to us. The walls were also pretty thin and it felt like someone was flushing the toiled right next to me while I was in bed. Overall it was clean and the staff was friendly but it was not what we expected for $700/night."
"Great experience, some rooms can accommodate an extra bed, but ask the hotel in advance. The location is very good, although you can't see the sea directly, but in the harbor, a few steps is a street of many shops. Convenience. excellent service."
"The location is very good, the lobby is very special, the room is very comfortable and the bed is very convenient. Suitable for family fun."

"WOW! Where to start? My fiance and I booked a 2 night stay at the Cleveland House Inn through AirBnB and got a great deal. The night before we were supposed to leave for our trip I called the front desk to inquire about the parking situation and if we would need to bring bath towels or not. Thewoman who I spoke to asked for my name and date of stay so that she could verify my reservation, which she did. She then asked what time I would be checking in, but told me it was more than okay to check in before our scheduled 3pm time and that she would see me tomorrow. Please keep in mind before you continue reading - we live 4 hours away from Newport and we had this booked for over a month. My fiance and I were packing our things in the car when we received a call from Rick, who claims that this reservation must be "fraudulent" (his words, not mine!) and that there was a mistake and we would not be allowed to stay and the room was no longer available. I asked him what happened, obviously concerned that the MANAGER AND OWNER OF THE INN is claiming this is fraudulent and is using his information on AirBnB to give people discounts. Well, if anyone at all who knows how AirBnB works knows this is a lie. Only Rick himself could create this listing on their site as he needed to verify that he is a real person - this means he needed to provide his license/government ID and other personal information only he would have. Rick then changes his story and tells us that if we want to stay at the Cleveland House we need to pay more money. We were obviously unwilling to pay more since we already paid and confirmed this reservation. Because we said no, Rick thought he was doing us a favor by telling us he can get us a room at a hotel 20 min away in Middletown, which was disgusting and also double the price per night. Again, we refused; we booked with Rick, why should we go somewhere else and pay more money? I cannot describe how RUDE, ACCUSATORY, AND DEMEANING Rick was to me, my fiance, my mother who tried to call and help us out. He became demeaning by calling us "idiots" and that "we would regret this". He also said he would "maybe give [us] a refund". I've never experienced such HORRIBLE, UNPROFESSIONAL customer service, or lack thereof. I then spent literally 8 hours on the phone with AirBnB and my bank to try to get a refund and write a complaint about Rick. The unbelievable part is that Rick would not answer either of their calls. I believe he didn't check the prices he listed on AirBnB until the morning of, knew it was a holiday weekend and also Newport, where someone else would be foolishly willing to pay more money. A few things I want to make a point of here: 1. If this was "fraudulent" wouldn't Rick be more concerned that someone is claiming his identity and somehow hacking his computer reservation system. 2. Let's play Devil's Advocate and assume that Rick truly doesn't know how AirBnB works, isn't the customer always right? How is a mistake that YO"
"Stayed for one night and was super easy to check in/check out. The Inn owner (Rick) greeted us, upgraded our room to a king for free, led us to a spot to park, gave us some good advice and then a lady showed us to to the room (which was in the next door property). Our room was on the 3rd floor (no elevator) but that’s not an issue for us and the owner checked to ensure that was ok. The room was clean and comfortable. Absolutely no complaints. The Inn is in a perfect location in the center of town - walking distance to everything. Bonus: my husband forgot his wallet in the room and we called enquiring abt it an hour after we checked out. Rick called back within 10 mins letting me know they had the wallet and it was in a safe space. Overall very happy with our stay!"
"Rooms are small but intimate. Great breakfast, walking distance to movie theater, downtown area, shops, etc.... Robert the caretaker, great person, easy to work with. We strongly recommend this place if you are in the Northeast.."

"The location of the hotel is OK, next to the ferry terminal, the view outside the hotel is good, breakfast at your own expense, very general, the lobby is bar-style, drinking mainly, not suitable for parents, suitable for people who like to drink a bar, the hotel does not provide drinking water, We rushed to the nearby supermarket to buy drinking water, and deducted a deposit of 250 knives a day. It should be convenient for those who like to drink. We booked a sea view room, but it is still different from the sea view room on Ctrip. The slanting window edge, crowded in the corner of the window to see the seascape, there is no space for two people to sit, and in the Ctrip platform reservation, before leaving the store to pay a 35 knives, saying that the third-party platform did not count Hotel accommodation costs, this little ninety-nine makes people feel very bad! ! For the first time in my life, I encountered this weird situation! Friendly reminder: In fact, there are similar and more square view hotels on both sides of the hotel! After visiting a circle, I found out that I regret it!"
