"We found the Arras while planning a weekend getaway to Asheville. We're familiar with AVL but not specifically where this hotel was, but based on the photos and the Kimpton reputation (along with the great promo room rate they were offering), we booked it. This is actually in the former BB&T tower in the center of town that they stripped down and refitted. It's gorgeous and literally centrally located. The staff was so helpful and nice from the moment we walked in till the moment we left. Rooms are modern and very tastefully done. The only issue we initially had was finding the actual entrance to drive into once we got there. After circling the block, we figured out it's on Patton Ave across from Farmburger. They were still finishing up some exterior construction when we got there, so it may be more clearly marked now. We will definitely stay here again. Very very pleased."
"Usually we rent a cabin in the mountains when we travel up that way, but the last 3 times we had made plans to stay in hotels downtown so we could enjoy all that Asheville has to offer without driving 30-40 minutes each way to get to our place. This hotel was clean, the staff was nice, and the room had a nice view of DT and we were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go, and when we did need our car it was a quick wait. It is valet only so just keep that in mind when you book."
"Recently opened property centrally located on Pack Place in downtown Asheville. Absolutely beautiful, with stunning art installations by local artists. One of the prettiest rooms we've ever stayed in. Staff is courteous and welcoming to a fault. Many restaurants/galleries/entertainment within easy walking distance. We parked the car and didn't touch it for 3 days."

"Stay Report 11/7 to 11/9 Location: Pretty good if you have a car.  It's located right by the entrance to the Biltmore Estate.  Nearby are a number of shops and some fast food restaurants.  Downtown Asheville is an easy 5-10 minute drive away.  It's also very close to I-40 which makes it easy to get around the area.  If you're looking to walk to the usual drinkeries and eateries it isn't the best choice (the Aloft and Renaissance are better for that) but if you want a quieter spot it's great.  Hotel: Very lovely.  It doesn't look like much from the street but it's absolutely gorgeous on the inside.  It's decorated in a rustic hunting theme with antlers and heads on the wall.  There's a lot of local art in the corridors and common areas and a wonderful grand lobby with a fireplace as well as a really nice restaurant and bar.  Do note parking is limited to valet and it's an unfortunate $27 a night.  Check In: I was thanked for being Titanium and given continental breakfast coupons for each day along with a $10 F&B credit.  Nice to see the hotel hasn't cut breakfast benefits. Room: I was unable to use a SNA or get an upgrade but the room I booked was very nice.  Two comfortable Queen beds, desk, large TV and a great bathroom with bath and separate shower.  Annoyingly the TV wasn't an InternetTV but that's my lone complaint. Dining: Excellent service every time we were in the bar and they made great cocktails and had a very good menu with a hunting lodge them to it which meant for some exotic meats.  The breakfast coupons were $10 towards the menu which I was happy with. This hotel is expensive (I paid 60,000 points per night vs. $550 cash) but it was well worth it.  I look forward to returning. "
"We love staying at the Grand Bohemian, Asheville. From the minute you enter the door we feel like you have entered a grand hunting lodge. Massive roaring fire in the lobby with cozy couches. Tuck yourself into one of the leather chairs while dining on a fabulous breakfast, dinner or after dinner beverage. Enjoy wrapping yourself in one of their silky robes after soaking in the huge bathtub in your room. Pure luxury. We have visited here on several occasions and will return! Look for some of their great off-season specials!"
"When in Asheville, my wife and I enjoy staying at the Grand Bohemian. While it looks and feels like a 19th century hunting lodge, it is actually a modern 21st century hotel. Relatively small, it is very intimate with impeccable service and delicious food. It is in a very convenient location in Biltmore Village. It is within a short walking distance of many restaurants and boutique shops and across the street from the entrance to the Biltmore Estate. And, only a short 5 minute drive from downtown Asheville."

"My husband and I stayed here in November for a long weekend and loved it! The hotel has a very modern feel, yet still comfortable. The room had the most amazing view I've ever seen! Huge windows overlooking the city and out to the blue ridge mountains - it was the best thing to wake up to every morning... not to mention breakfast at Hemingway's restaurant on their 4th floor was delicious and soo filling. The bluetooth mirror in the bathroom was a nice touch, and the beds were super comfy. Not to mention they gave us a complimentary glass of champagne when we checked in and the staff was all very friendly! They also offer valet parking, which is really convenient since literally everything in town is walkable from the hotel. We had a great trip thanks to Cambria and can't wait to visit again!"
"We were looking for a hotel in downtown. Cambria did not disappoint. This hotel is in walking distance to all the shops and resturants. The hotel staff were all super friendly and welcoming! Our room was super clean and perfect for a family of three. We had a mountain view and that was a surprise to wake up to every morning! Valet service and staff was impeccable. Our car was always ready within minutes. Security was top notch. The only down side was no pool, but that is coming from my 11 year old son. Highly recommend this hotel."
"Your hotel staff exemplary the epitome of customer service! Alec and Emory in the restaurant were fantastic! The associate who worked Saturday and Sunday morning was wonderful! I work in corporate meetings and travel and this is easily one of my favorite hotels! "

"Great location, no pet fee if you bring your pets, convenient parking and decent rooms. We like to stay here because of those reasons, however the front desk service specifically by the ladies since that’s all I’ve had, is horrible with the exception of Brittany who’s excellent and very helpful. The others dont greet you upon arrival, I’m a titanium member and they dont even attempt to upgrade without me asking and never even acknowledge or say “thanks for being a titanium member Ms”. I called the front desk and asked the lady if she can pull up my reservation and check something for me and she said “hold on” and transferred me to general reservations! Wtf! If I wanted to speak to gen reserv I would’ve called them! Such a lazy, IDGAF thing to do. Ask for Brittany if you want great service and hope she’s working that day. Always pleasant and super helpful taking time time to resolve questions/issues. Thank you Ms Brittany. Lastly, most Alofts have at least one microwave in the food area that customers can use. This one does not. For $50 or less this location should purchase one for guests use as it would be super helpful for everyone. Walking from Old Town coffee/bakery back to hotel having no where to heat my coffee and pastry sucks EVERY SINGLE TIME. I’ve heard other guests ask if one was available too. Just get one and watch your customers mention how much they appreciate it in the reviews."
"Got our room online at best rate and was pleasantly surprised when they bumped us to a corner room with mountain views on the 5th floor. Bed was comfortable and bathroom is very nicely appointed. Hotel and room was very clean and safe. On the downside, the light switches are VERY confusing and our AC unit was loud and had an annoying rattle that we couldn't fix. The room could use a small couch...or any type of comfortable chair. It is very modern decor, but the hard bench seat is good only for your suitcase, not as a comfortable seat. Nice location, that puts everything in downtown within easy walking distance."
"Loved loved loved this hotel. Location is perfect, you are in the heart of downtown with numerous restaurants and breweries within walking distance. Biltmore is a short drive away. The hotel is very well cleaned and maintained. The bar is open and a wonderful oasis with a fantastic bar tender. Overall this hotel is very convenient and staff is eager to make your stay a wonderful one. "

"If you want an authentic, quaint boutique and are trying to stay away from the larger chains, The Windsor won't disappoint. You can't beat this location in the heart of Broadway if you are in Asheville to walk to the local shops, restaurants, breweries downtown. The customized suites are very spacious and beautifully decorated, each with their own personal touches while keeping the historical feel with original exposed brick exterior walls and beautifully refinished hardwoods. Don't stay here if you are looking for large amenities, outside of a day-spa next door this is a true boutique (Although the YMCA is very close if you need to mix in a workout). If I could take this place with us on all of our future travels, I would do it without hesitation!!"
"My husband and I stayed here during the Covid-19 pandemic, and to be honest, I was afraid of traveling, but the stress of the last few months was getting to be too much, so we chose Asheville and I am SO happy we chose The Windsor for our stay! The staff was incredibly helpful and the hotel was clean (they have a sanitation rating of 100.0, I've never seen that!). They had sanitized pens, a sanitizing station for us to use, and I saw the staff cleaning and disinfecting constantly, and the room was spotless (and absolutely gorgeous)! I needed that break, I needed that hotel. I wish I could stay there every weekend!"
"We loved our stay at the Windsor Boutique Hotel! The staff was very helpful and the room was exactly what we wanted. It was beautifully appointed with plenty of room for 4 adults and the kitchen was equipped with service for 4 and a few items for cooking. Coffee that was locally roasted was a nice added touch. The Windsor is centrally located and an easy walk to shopping and many restaurants. Parking is just around the corner and very convenient. We would highly recommend this hotel!"

31 Woodfin Street, Asheville, North Carolina, United States
"Stay Report - 2/13 - 2/14 Location: The hotel is well located if you want to be in Downtown Asheville.  It's a hair to the north and east of some of the downtown fun but once you've parked your car you can walk to all of downtown.  It's also right near US 70 and I-240 so getting places and getting to the hotel is very easy.   Hotel: The hotel is an older property, and definitely looks that way from the outside, but the recent renovations have it looking really attractive on the inside.  There's either self parking for $14 or valet for $19 (you could probably try street parking but they enforce heavily in Asheville), there's a surprisingly large indoor pool and decent sized gym on the 2nd floor, a lobby restaurant and kind of disappointingly small bar in the lobby, a small store with curios and snacks and a Refresh Room which has free coffee, soda and water for elites.  Do note there can be long waits for elevators in the morning Check In: Only one agent was on duty when I arrived so I had to wait.  The second agent who came out didn't seem very knowledgeable and gave me information that contradicted what the other agent was saying and everything took a while.  Not what I wanted after a 3.5 hour drive. Room: Pretty nice.  Desk area, large SmarTV, comfortable bed with outlets next to it and a nice sitting area.  The bathroom while renovated is still pretty small though.  Wifi was spotty especially in the morning when it stopped working entirely.  Thankfully soundproofing was good. Breakfast: Incredible.  This was a real surprise as I eat at many of the same old buffets you find everywhere and this one was actually decent.  There was an omelet bar, the usual breakfast meats including great bacon but also biscuits and gravy, meat and vegetable frittatas and some other fun choices.  And service was incredible, each guest gets a small mango smoothie with breakfast and the staff were amazing.  This was the best part of the stay. Overall it's a bit of an older hotel but the location and the breakfast make it worth a stay.  I'd be back. "
"First time in Asheville.3 nights stay. All staff are friendly and welcoming. Hotel has a pool and hot tub which is a huge plus. The gym has everything you need to do a nice workout. The lobby is beautiful and warm to chill or work. We were in room #711. Beautiful view of the mountains and the sky is stunning... Parking is $15 a night and they also have valet service. Walking distance to restaurants and stores. We had breakfast one morning : either a la carte or full buffet. Staff was friendly. No housekeeping service. only by request( due to covid). We will back!"
"Five stars for Willie who checked us in! Upon learning that it was my birthday, he upgraded our room to a higher floor and mountain view, he gave us $10 to spend at the bar, he gave us a certificate for breakfast, complimentary parking, and when we got back from dinner, there was chocolate birthday cake waiting in our room! He really made our stay extra special! Our room and bed were very comfortable. Great location. I would definitely stay here again."

"I am shocked my any bad review of this property. It is fantastic. I was surprised at the price of the room for size if the room. We stayed in the 2 bedroom suite. It’s a mini apartment with with bathrooms, full kitchen, small dining area and living room with a fire place. If you are staying for multiple days, it would be awesome. We were a family of 5 and everyone had space (including a sleeper sofa). This has an outdoor seating area as well. Fireplace was easy to use and awesome. (as a Floridian-we never get or use fireplaces… So it was a treat) Plenty of restaurants are super close (within a mile) and grocery stores less than 2 miles. It’s super close to Biltmore for convenience. Loads of parking. No pets. Non-smoking, unless you take a pretty good walk from your property. Overall-GREAT stay. "
"Spent one night in a three bedroom unit. With only a few exceptions we were very pleased with the accommodations after a six hour drive, arriving after midnight. We didn’t have to be at an appointment until 10 A.M. and were thinking we could sleep in as we arrived so late. Starting around 6:00 A.M. (5 our time), we found out how thin the floors were as we were awakened by kids running and stomping in the unit above. Attempted to call the office, just to find out the wall phone wasn’t operational. Tapping on the ceiling didn’t help. Using cell phone to contact the office, they said they would take care of the noise. After a while, the running slowed down, but never stopped. Everything else was okay, but be aware of no sound insulation between units."
"My sister and I travel frequently, and loved staying at the Residence at Biltmore. We each had our own room and own bathroom. Perfect clean little kitchen and living room. It will make you feel right at home! Loved the balcony. It was beautifully spotless, great bedding, comfy furniture, and great service! Yes, the building itself is older, but the apartment room was perfect. It's unique, fun, and quiet! Wish I could throw in an extra couple of stars for the rating."

"I spent an entire day researching hotel and Airbnb options for a trip to Asheville, NC. I plan on doing some road trips around scenic areas of the US. I decided to join the IHG rewards program and take advantage of collecting points for my stays. After much research, I chose the Hotel Indigo based on their location, and tried to book online...nothing happened when I clicked reserve. I called the reservations number on the webpage and was greeted with the message, "nobody is available to assist you, goodbye." There was no direct hotel contact information anywhere on their website. I reached out to social media (Facebook) because I knew they tend to be responsive. They connected me to the IHG online chat, which directed me to the hotel website. I called the hotel directly and told them at this point I was frustrated. We went through the reservation process, and he asked me what is the rate I see online. I told him, and he said that rate is wrong...which is why you could not reserve. He now made their problem, my fault. Their website displayed the wrong rate and he had no interest in honoring it, or helping me. I emailed the management, who took over a day to respond to me with the message...call us, and we'll help you. Why would I make additional effort at this point to stay at their hotel? I booked a beautiful full condo Airbnb closer to downtown for less money. The process was easy and fast. I'll cancel my IHG membership because of their complete lack of customer service."
"I loved the view from my room. The bed was comfortable and I did not wake congested or stuffy. Hotel has a water filter dispensing machine. Valet parking was great although I do prefer to park myself most of the time. The shower was nice and big. I do wish it had more shower heads though since it was so big. The hotel was basically across the street from Grove arcade. "
"Firstly, I travel for a living and spend about 250 nights a year on the road. Every time I stay at this hotel it exceeds my expectations. the staff is nice, rooms are beautiful and exceptionally clean, nice little bar down in lobby and ice machines with water purifiers. This is definitely my go to spot in Asheville."
