Top 10 Cragside Hotels

Second visit to this great hotel in an historic building. Reception staff are consistently excellent, friendly and helpful (apologies I am not sure of the girl who helped us out during our stay, but she was super professional). Restaurant staff are also super - front of house, and all the team superb. The rooms are spacious and very clean. The bar is fab and a great space to relax. Only one minor suggestion is to give the coffee bar staff some professional barista training - it’s a plus point for the hotel to have a good coffee bar.

Not bad, a little far from the train station, but close to the river, there are many bars. But the hotel is a bit old. There is a good English breakfast shop and ice cream shop nearby. Enjoyed experience. Took advantage of a paid for upgrade and the room was excellent. Generally, the upgrades were great (free parking), however, as part of the upgrade we got drink vouchers (6 x drinks per couple over two days). This was a bit footery as the choice of drinks was very limited (either bottled beer or glass of certain wines). I prefer draught beer and my wife doesn't partucularly like wine so we struggled what to choose. Buffet breakfasts are either hit or miss and on this occasion our experience was plenty of choice but the hot Buffet was luke warm at best. That said it is a really good hotel in a great location and catered for all our needs

We have had an absolutely amazing stay at Ramside to celebrate my 50th Birthday. We stayed in a treehouse which was utterly superb and took my breath away!! Beautiful interiors and furnishings along with wonderful outdoor area with your own hot tub and sauna...a truly wonderful experience. The service is second to none. The concierge was literally on tap to take you to and from the main hotel. Nothing was ever a problem. The main Spa pool had plenty of seating and limitless supply of towels, robes and flip flops to make you relaxed and comfortable. The Fusion Restaurant was fabulous too. 9 of us ate at the restaurant, the food was served piping hot in beautiful Asian inspired bowls and plates and looked utterly mouthwatering and tasted delicious, we couldn't fault it....The cocktails are gorgeous too I can highly recommend the strawberry breeze for any gin lovers out there! Wow!! A huge thank you, to the wonderful dedicated staff at Ramside, for making our weekend just perfect and one to remember...We will be back!!

We wanted to celebrate our wedding anniversary by visiting somewhere new …. We were not disappointed in the least by our choice. The moment we entered reception we were warmly greeted by Holly and she also escorted us to The Apartment suite we had booked. Fabulous room and terrace area with amazing views which set the tone for our 3 day stay. In fact, a number of staff are worth a mention from the cleaning team, breakfast staff and restaurant staff ( Lyndsey, Katy and Rachael) Thank you all for your friendly hospitality 👍👍

Good value if you stay for 7 plus nights on a long stay rate. Was happy with the size and facilities in my Queen room, however it was very hot and the aircon didn't work. The hotel is set in different (linked)buildings and one of the buildings was noticeably hotter both times I've stayed there in April and May. Both times the hotel upgraded me to a room on the riverside which is much cooler (with working air con) and with a view of the river. The housekeeping staff are friendly and nothing is too much trouble. Lots of choice for breakfast and buffet kept topped up. Really enjoyed my stay - both times. Great location too!

At 1pm on February 13th, London time, I took a taxi from Newcastle Airport to the hotel. As a result, at another place, the counter operator swiped my child's card for the first time. I could n’t make it out. The child thought there was a problem with the card, and then swiped it with my card. The swipe successfully printed the document. Spend 420 pounds and deposit 200 pounds. Then I walked with luggage for half an hour to the place where I stayed. The location of the hotel is very good, right next to the train station. There are three bedrooms and one living room. The problem was on March 5th, the credit card repayment, I found out how much the child's credit card repayment amount, check the bill, gosh! The child's two cards were deducted four times for 420 pounds for a total of 1680 pounds, and my card was deducted for 420 pounds and 200 pounds deposit. It has been happening for almost 20 days. If I did n’t check the bill, the extra money was lost and the hotel was not found for 20 days. With Ctrip feedback, Ctrip is very serious and efficient, and asked me The transmission certificate and feedback said that as long as the information is complete, if the hotel has not dealt with it, Ctrip will repay the loan first. Things are still being processed, reminding passengers to check in in the future must be careful to swipe the card, to see the text message reminder, later discovered that there are text message reminders to charge four times, but just hurriedly thought that the card is problematic and did not pay attention. Although I believe that the British merchants will not knowingly, but the front desk staff is so unskilled, I did not find feedback to Ctrip or me afterwards, and took the initiative to refund. I think this hotel service can only score zero points (the hotel apartment usually does not see the staff, the front desk is the only time).

15 mins by car to Newcastle nothing around in walkable distance however an amazing restful place. Beautiful nature, good food and amazing service!
