"We were looking for a getaway for our anniversary that was close but not too close to home with great amenities nearby. We have always liked the Homewood properties. Due to whatever factors that day of check in, the hotel was sold out so the manager, Kaitlin Gay contacted me by phone to confirm our stay. She asked what was bringing us there I told her we were doing an anniversary getaway. Upon check in, Kaitlin greeted us warmly. When we arrived at our suite, Kaitlin had arranged flowers and wine. This is EXCEPTIONAL customer service (sadly so lacking everywhere today but especially in the hotel market). We loved our stay and would highly recommend this property."
"Wonderful property! My special needs daughter and I stopped here on our way from Virginia to Atlanta. It was a nice half way point. It was the first time I took advantage of the Complimentary Dinner/social time. The food was much better than I had imagined it would be. The evening's event was BINGO and they allowed my daughter to participate. She ended up winning both games! The suite we stayed in was spacious, comfortable, and very clean. It was nice to stay at this property because it is a nice distance from the highway so you do not experience the highway noise. The staff was very friendly and we would definitely stay here again on another trip!"
"My room was not ready at check in. They gave me what was readily available, but thus room did not have enough towels for the 4 of us and there was only 1 roll of almost empty toilet tissue. The breakfast staff was not friendly. The room was clean and very comfy, though. Front desk staff helpful and courteous. Still not a bad experience, just expected more from a Hilton, which is where we normally stay. The Embassy Suites was booked, so this was the next best thing"

"I've been staying here multiple times per year for the last 5-6 years and I almost never have issues and when I do the staff ALWAYS takes care of it immediately. I would not stay anywhere other than this hotel anytime I am in this area. "
"We celebrated our 2 year anniversary! We wanted to stay at this hotel because it was the place where we first met. When we told them that we were celebrating, they gave us free hot breakfast, but the Best part was the amazing Jacuzzi"
"The hotel was in a convenient location. It was clean and the bed was comfortable. The lobby was under construction but they had it set up where it was really no bother to us checking in and walking through."

"First problem was when I made the reservation through the 800 number and they told me the hotel still had most of the amenities open but with restrictions. I tried to call the actual hotel front desk and waited for 26minutes before hanging up. We got there and were told the restaurant was closed completely and the fitness room was also closed. The pool is open with 20 people capacity. We got to the room and while I enjoyed the two separate rooms, it did seem a bit small from what we’re used to. Breakfast was a jimmy dean biscuit that you heat up in the microwave or cereal. A place like this should’ve had a fresh cooked meal that you pick up and take back to the room in my opinion. VERY low on the bar! The first morning there we had all the living area lights cut off as well as the bathroom lights. We were leaving so we told the front desk guy about the issue and he wrote down our room number and said he would get someone up there to take a look. We come back 4 hours later and asked the other guy and he said no note was made and the engineer person wouldn’t be there for another 30min! He offered to switch our room but we were checking out the next day and have two kids so we had way too much stuff to just move for such a short stay. We go to the room and decided that we we not paying SO much for half of the room to be unusable, 30 minutes or not. All the damage was done at that point. Also, earlier that morning my husband found weed in the elevator! Thankfully we were able to check out and are getting refunded for the second night. This was our first time staying at a Hilton and we were very excited from the photos on the site, we will not stay at Hilton anywhere ever again! This hotel could do a MUCH better job at explaining on their site of what is open and what is not! And the food is honestly just embarrassing! They have a wonderful setup but yet serve breakfast in a brown paper bag?! Room service could be available or an order Togo situation....literally ANYTHING else would be better! Overall the entire place was a huge joke! It also took over 2 weeks to finally get our refund! Apparently I had to call to confirm through the 800 number that we were supposed to be refunded. Then after I did that, those people then said it would be another 3-5 business days, well it was actually another 7 business days! I’ve never had issues using a choice hotel and this is the first and last time I stray away from them!"
"I have stayed at this hotel in the past and upon arrival, it was obvious this hotel has significantly deteriorated. I should have cancelled our reservation and stayed at another hotel. 1. They charge $8 for parking. The 3 other hotels in the same location do not charge for parking. I inquired about the fee and was told it was due to the convention center. I pointed out the convention center was empty but could not get the fee waived. Again, I should have left and stayed at another hotel. 2. Everything with the exception of the pool is shut down. I called before our stay and was informed the pool was open with limited capacity and that hot breakfast choices would be offered that could be taken back to our room. I inquired further about the breakfast and was told we would be offered hot options. Their hot options are a biscuit you take back to your room and heat up in the microwave. 3. The pool was ice cold to the point you could not stay in the pool for any length of time. Other guests tried to get in the pool and all commented how cold it was. Each guest immediately got out of the pool and left. We stayed in the pool for 5 minutes and when I returned the key to the front desk, I informed the staff the pool was too cold. They ignored my comment. 4. There is a "sitting area" outside of the pool. Most of the chairs have been removed due to COVID. Upon entering outside, there were chicken bones someone had eaten and left on the concrete along with a dead bird. I informed the front desk and once again, I was given a blank stare and was told o.k. 5. Room - upon arrival, the air was not working in the room and you needed to be a body builder to open the door. We called the front desk and they sent maintenance to the room. The maintenance person was very nice and fixed the issue with the air in the room. He noticed the issue with the door and stated there was nothing he could do for the door - the door is a fire safety issue as it would get stuck. The door to the closet would not stay closed, the wallpaper in the room in peeling from the walls and the beds are not comfortable (mattresses are very hard). For the money I was charged to stay at this hotel, I could have saved myself $30-50 dollars staying at one of the 3 hotels next to this Embassy Suites. Lesson learned - stay away from this hotel."
" Location was perfect for visiting The Speedway club and a local gun range. The spa staff does an excellent job and will listen carefully to what you require for your services purchased. A free shuttle service within a three mile range of the hotel was a great feature and I used it."

"It was quiet, pretty clean and check in/out were really easy. The room was decently sized with average bathroom. Walls are very thin, outlet plugs and some lights didn’t work. Best part of my stay was the bed. It was so comfortable and i slept really well. This was a good stay for a quick trip. "

"I came to the area primarily to go to Razzoo's Cajun Café and this was a great hotel nearby. Lots of room in the suite and the staff were all friendly. The kitchen was fully equipped with full size fridge, stove, microwave, toaster. Even pots and pans, dishes and things like a colander and bowls were provided. There was a beautiful fireplace in the living room (hint: there's not a remote for it, the controls are on the wall nearby). Loved the water pressure in the tub/shower and the fact that there were plenty of shelves. A handheld shower wand would have made it perfect :-). The living room couch, while practical for hotel use in a leather like covering, wasn't the most comfortable however. I also lamented the lack of a guide for the tv channels or a guide for the hotel itself. The most critical issue I had was upon arrival when attempting to find the door for the lobby/check in! What looked like the "front" of the hotel was not, it's on the "end". I can't be the first person to have difficulty with this - an illuminated visible sign pointing to the lobby location is highly suggested."
"This hotel is renovated and provides just what you need for a short stay or extended stay. The lobby, hallways and rooms are clean, the rooms offer a small kitchen to cook your own meals or heat up a little something, and the beds are comfortable. I highly recommend this property."
"The staff are very efficient, and always clean rooms and lobby. The outdoor seating area is nice as well to hang out at after a long day of shopping at the outlet mall which is just a little ways up the road from the inn. As well as some great eating places nearby."

"I just wanted to take a minute and let the readers know how wonderful our experience was with this hotel and Shantee. We arrived on Thursday morning after traveling to attend the AutoFair. We arrived super early and just wanted to get our barrings straight so we would know where we were. When we went in to just say hi and see if and when we would be able to check in a little early, thinking we would have a few hours to burn Shantee was able to get us checked in right then. This made us super happy as we had been up on the road since 5am and had some rambunctious kiddos. The room was super clean and comfortable. We were about 5-10 min from SOOOOO MUCH. This was exactly what we were looking for on this quick trip! Thank you!! We hope to see you all again in APRIL. "
"Excellent place to stay! 4th floor very quiet. Very clean. Close to Mall. Supreme staff!!! Supplied everything I needed. Outdoor nature path. Clean and easily accessible workout room. SPOTTY INTERNET for most of my stay. Not dependable."
"Staff was friendly, check in was simple, room was clean with a huge bathroom, favorite part of the room was the smart tv, easy setup for game system. Would definitely recommend this hotel to friends and family"

"Room was clean and had new Bed, furniture and TV. It had cool blinds instead of the curtains which I loved. Front desk is super friendly. Due to the area being so busy, it was awesome to have restaurants within walking distance. Especially because we had trouble finding parking at the restaurants because they were so busy. Might want to go to dinner a little early to allow for wait time. No noise issues in our room. We rested well. Price could have been a little cheaper but figured it was due to being right off I-85 and being so close to the Concord Mills Mall. Would like to have seen Mountain Dew in their vending area."
"My stay at the Holiday Inn Express Charlotte - Concord / I-85 was outstanding! The front desk was great in helping me check in quickly. My room was spacious, clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. The breakfast was very tasty, too! I will be staying at this hotel again when I am in the area again on business."
"Enjoyed our stay in a remodeled room with a new bed. Very clean and comfortable and especially liked the black-out window shades along with the light filtering shades. Nice touch. The breakfast buffet with warm cinnamon rolls was great too. "

"My family stayed here for one night while in town attending a martial arts tournament. We were quite underwhelmed by our hotel experience. To start off, when checking in, I attempted to ask the front desk associate if she had directions available to the Carrabas Arena and Events Center (the hotel's website touts that it is 12 miles from the event center); the associate interrupted part way through and stated something to the effect of "don't bother, I don't know." She had been polite and professional up to this point, so it was a little bit of a shock to receive this response. To cap off our front desk experience, she did not direct us how to find the elevator or our room, so we were left to wander through the lobby and hallways on our own until we found our way. The room itself was a huge disappointment. We reserved a King Suite for our family (2 adults, 2 children). The room was so small we could not walk around without bumping into one another, and I had to walk sideways to reach access one side of the King Bed in the "bedroom". The "living space" featured a couch with a pull out twin trundle bed. Once the trundle bed was pulled out, no one could access the front door or the bathroom without walking across the bed - it literally took up all of the walkway space from the front door to the king bed. I'm no fire marshal, but this seems like a fire code violation to me. Also, we had a room on the side away from traffic, but it did not help silence the traffic noise. The hotel has the look of an older hotel that the chain is attempting to make look new - new wallpaper in the bathroom that is already peeling, fixtures and tile that are new but don't quite match, and patchy paint jobs throughout. We did try out the indoor pool - word to the wise, it is NOT heated. My children were disappointed as we had to pull them out after a few minutes so they wouldn't get hypothermia in the cold indoor pool area. We would not choose to stay here again - spend the extra few dollars and stay at a nearby higher end chain."
"Front desk was very efficient. Checkin was smooth. Suite was not as large as some but very clean and adequate. Breakfast area was always clean and food choices were varied. It is off the beaten path with a variety of other hotels in the area. "
"We stayed here during one of our daughter's gymnastics meets. Hotel was very nice, clean, and as quiet as can be with 30+ kids running about. Staff was very accommodating and attentive. Anything we needed was available immediately, and the staff followed up to make sure everything we needed was provided in a timely manner and that it met our expectations. This hotel has one of the most customer service oriented staff of any hotel we have stayed at in the past 4 years. From the front desk staff to the room cleaning staff they were great! We will stay here again if in the area. "
