"Stayed for 3 nights, ate breakfast and dinner each day. The rooms are clean and don’t seem very old, I’m sure they are not new by any means which is testament to the upkeep of the place. The shower was good, decent pressure and plenty hot. There was a minibar in my room which was a nice touch. Not sure if that’s the standard. The gym is well equipped especially for a hotel gym, lots of machines and better than usual free weights selection for a hotel gym. The spinning area with the virtual cycle routes was also fantastic! The pool is clean but probably too warm to do any serious swimming in, nice to relax in after a tough day all the same. The restaurant was not cheap but in saying that I feel the food was worth the money. Nicely prepared and quality ingredients. Breakfast was also really good! The only thing that let the hotel down was the service was slow in the bar/restaurant. I’m not sure was this due to the fact it is a hotel geared towards rest and relaxation but I would have appreciated speedier service. The service while slow was good all the same and the staff were polite The hotel in general is very impressive and I would stay here again. "
"Spent almost a full month here on a business visit . Nice hotel but they rank themselves as 4 star superior and that’s a stretch . But it is nice , clean rooms , friendly staff and great food . Every dish I tried during the month was first class . Room housekeeping is a bit shoddy with glasses , laundry bags etc not being replaced as they’re used. Cushions for the bed left thrown on the floor . Could be better. Great gym and spa but here’s the strange thing . The gym is open 7am to 9pm Monday to Friday but only 9am to 3pm at the weekends . Not sure what the logic is there. I went down on Saturday at 3:30pm to use the gym only to find it locked up. But overall it is a very nice place to stay with great staff and a nice ambience . Also booked a business room for a meeting and that was very nice indeed. I’ll definitely be staying again. "
"On a road trip from Norway to the UK stopped overnight here - we will be coming back Fantastic rooms Great Spa and pool at 33c Good food Stair carpets could do with replacing but otherwise fantastic Our only disappointment was having to leave to continue our trip !"

"I had the charity suite which was one of the most interesting rooms I’ve ever had. Moderate size, the whole sink outside the bathroom was a little weird but hey, that’s what makes manna stand out- it’s unique character. It was the opposite of everything I’ve been used too- check in was super strange having a waiter do it for me, breakfast was 2 doors down the road, the room was quite interesting- shower and toilet in one, sink in the bedroom. The steps and oh then a little more. And I wouldn’t want it any other way- that’s what made the hotel so interesting . The waiter who checked me in to the hotel did it way quicker than most hotels and with such a smile- he was literally thankful I chose manna. A waiter. What a nice guy.....and the uniqueness of the hotel made it such a great stay. The staff were one of the nicest and genuine I’ve seen. I would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone."
"Really great boutique hotel with friendly staff, excellent restaurant service and elegant decor. Breakfast in the Blue was good, with perfect boiled eggs. I note the comments about small rooms, but I didn’t find that to be an issue. Good location - 10 mins from central station. "
"This hotel is placed in a beautiful fin du siecle mansion near the city centre. The hotel has spacious and well equipped rooms. The staff is friendly. Could do with some refurbishment. Some of the utilities in the room are getting older and might need an upgrade. And the fact that check in needs to be done at their other hotel down the road is not ideal. Still it is one of the best options in town."

"Hi, I’m a brutish tourist, who does not understand the functions of the Netherlands, this ranges from cigarette machines to buses. All of the staff here are lovely. Massive shout out to Brit, jost, mike and victor. All lovely characters. Mike is my G, he sorted me out when no one else could. So if you ever stay here remember the Asian man mike. He will genuinely make sure you have a fab trip. Mangment should deffo give this guy a pay rise or something coz he fab"
"A wonderful hotel in between hills and forest that makes you wonder if you are actually in the Netherlands. We enjoyed a mini suite there which was very nice with a terrace and view on the garden. The rooms are modern and new, though the building is old. A great ambiance. You can enjoy breakfast inside but also outside on the terrace. We booked it through a social deal coupon and we surprised by the quality of the hotel. You can rent a bike or take a wonderful walk through the area. A wonderful escape from all the business. Although the interior design of the hallways could be a bit more cosy."
"This hotel is located just outside Berg en Dal very close to the German border. Great place for hiking and also excellent for bussiness meetings. Parking can be a pain if there are a lot of meetings, but the rooms are kingsize, the breakfast selection excellent and the dinner options are great too. Free Wifi which you need as mobile phone reception is poor in this area. The scenery is marvellous, un-Dutch. Recommended."

"Stayed 5 nights in the top floor apartment with balcony, overlooking a tree lined boulevard, and in our case, with the sofa bed already set up to accommodate our third person daughter who was currently doing an overseas student placement at nearby Radboud University. Our room was spotless, as was the rest of the hotel, with efficient and friendly room servicing each day if required, and a self catering kitchen sufficient to prepare breakfasts and light meals. The hotel was just perfect for our needs, with a well stocked supermarket around the corner, and a location almost at the main gateway to the old town with numerous restaurants, cafes, shops and sites of interest all within easy walking distance. We were cosy, very comfortable and totally insulated from other guests, and there was very little external noise - we love our quiet and our room certainly provided that. John happily both collected us from, and dropped us of at, Nijmegen Station - and ferried our somewhat heavy luggage up the stairs - a much appreciated service plus. John, Lisa and his team were always friendly but unobtrusive, and quick to provide advice or information when needed. The recommendation to a fine Japanese restaurant a cab ride away made for a memorable 21st birthday celebration with our daughter - thanks John! Would not hesitate to stay at Hotel Oranjestaete again."
"We loved this hotel. John from hotel picked us up at train station. When we arrived he showed us everything in room and how things worked. He was very welcoming as was the young girl on the desk. I think her name was Liselotte. They made us feel right at home. The room was beautiful and very clean. Bed was very comfortable. They had a bottle of wine and peanuts for us as a welcome gift. There is a nice outdoor area to sit. There is a grocery store around the corner. Hotel is not far from center of town. We walked back to train station day we left and it is about a 15 minute walk. If we are ever back in Nijmegen we will definitely stay at hotel Oranjestaete. "
"I went to Nijmegen (from Toronto) to get my daughter set up for a university exchange. I always look for unique hotels, trying to avoid chains or large convention centre facilities. The Hotel Oranjestaete couldn't have been better. Comfortable, spacious, updated, tasteful plus the room (which was actually two rooms -- BR and kitchen/den with fold out couch) made you feel like you were staying local. The building was an old house and it still has a stately charm plus it was around the corner from shopping, groceries, bars and restaurants. Highly recommended."

"I have to say that room was so nice, clean and big enough. My only concern is hot water on shower is not so much at least on upper room 17. My problems to not put 5 starts were related food. I order some apperitives because arrive late and need something soft. It take very long to arrive and they make fails as put two spoon on same dish of totally different series and in a place like this that try to be poss it is not nice. Food is not cheap but looks correct. Breakfast is a theft because food on breakfast was not as good and extend to charge 14.5€. You can see on picture. Probably will come back but not use breakfast and food service "
"This hotel is excellent. The staff are very friendly and very helpful. The restaurant offers a great menu, and the food is delicious, not only for dinner but also for breakfast. The rooms are very quite and extremely comfortable. I really can not fault this hotel, without doubt one of the best in the area."
"It was about 2 years ago that I spend there many nights. It felt immediately like coming to a well-recognised place (cannot call it home because it isn't). We had a great room with stunning views and a bad with jacuzzi. Super friendly personnel. Great surroundings to walk, ..."

"We could not have been happier staying for a week at this hotel. The breakfast buffet was expansive and had something to try each day, we loved the orange juice maker! Decent work-out room, had lots of trails around the hotel for running and we could even have rented bikes to ride around if we had time. Fun animal barn on the grounds complete with miniature goats. The rooms were nice, decent sized for our stay, very comfortable. There was construction going on, but thankfully it was on the other side of the property. Parking was plentiful, hotel was easy to get to off the freeway. Dinners were delicious, we tried many of the menu items over our stay. The one time I received a very rare steak when I had ordered medium-well.They fixed this quickly. We also tried the desserts, loved them! The bar was open in the evenings, nice ambiance for a drink after a long day, and they were accommodating with serving bottles of wine to take to our rooms. Overall, we were very pleased with our week long stay at this property."
"Stayed here during a short family visit on a recommend, and I was nicely surprised. Check in was fast and no hassle, room had a comfy bed. Breakfast was great and so was dinner. Only negatives that I noticed; - no AC. My room was facing the sunshine so was very hot around 4Pm. I can’t imagine staying here in July months. So you had to open the window for some cooler air but then you heard the nearby loud freeway. - long hallways. It takes a while to walk to your room. In other words the layout is not the best. Only a small issue though - paper thin walls. Heard everyone around you, hallways etc. Overall for this price, very nice. Had it been a 300/night hotel it would have still gotten the same rating. "
"Staff is extremely friendly, polite and service oriented, doing everything they can and more, feels so comfortable:-). Cleaning needed to be supplemented here and there [shower floor [lime], toilet [stainy sitting], dust, lime]. Beds are OK. Breakfast nice and complete. Dinner a bit rushed and under Valk level. Room nicely furnished but individual climate control was missing. Temperature never got too high or low, but still... Overall a good 8 for price - quality. "
