The hotel is very cost-effective, the room is clean and tidy, the location is good, next to the Yale green space, choose the high floor, you can also see the sea. There are a lot of restaurants around, and there is a good taste of Sichuan cuisine, and the business is very prosperous.

The hotel is very good, the surrounding transportation is convenient, in the city center, walking to Yale for a few minutes.

The Graduate at New Haven has a great friendly professional staff team who were courteous and helpful. Everything is kept very clean and efficiently run. Be aware that there is no restaurant in the hotel, only a cafe. That is probably the only drawback, but there are plenty of other places to eat located very close by.

Take the child to school, and the daughter likes the style of the room. You can walk to Yale. The hotel can help with parking for $ 30 a day. There are Chinese restaurants near the hotel, not expensive and taste good

I just returned from spending 2 of my free night awards. Many hotels will assign the worst room when paying this way and this was definitely not the case here. Due to all the negative reviews I read, I was a bit nervous and called the hotel and spoke to a couple of people. They were very honest about what to expect. In fact, although it could use an update, the room was just fine (and I'm picky) and totally immaculate. I had white socks on and my socks were just as white walking around the room. Actually, I was shocked that it was so clean and there wasn't a speck of dust anywhere. Now to the best part, the staff. They are wonderful and extremely friendly and helpful. There never was a shortage of staff either. Every person I encountered had a smile on their face and couldn't be happier to help. I enjoyed just chatting with them. I only gave the Courtyard 4 stars instead of 5 because the rooms are not that large , they charge for parking and basic toiletries are provided. We found the location convenient for walking around during both day and evening. I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

I’m currently staying in this hotel and just wanted to “pen” my review before I left and life made me forget to write it. This is a lovely hotel. First things first, I’m staying in a clean and well appointed king guest room with one of the most comfortable beds I’ve ever slept in. The bathroom is large and clean. The view is nice and the tv is huge. The lobby bar/restaurant is great. I’ve had both of my evening meals there as well as one breakfast. Try the Margarita Flatbread. The bar tender on duty on Sunday night made me an On Point Moscow Mule. The front desk staff has been extremely friendly and checkin was fast and effieicent. I think this hotel has gotten short changed with some of the reviews below. This is a great hotel in an excellent walkable location. 5 Stars!

Reviews From Real Travelers
The last time I stayed at this hotel was in June when I had an appointment at a nearby medical building. At that time, I had difficulty showering in the morning because the lower border of the shower directed water out into the hotel room instead of back into the shower. I used every towel in the bathroom to try to mop up the mess on the bathroom floor and ran to keep my appointment. As I approached the room where my appointment was, I heard another woman explaining that she was late because of the same problem with the shower in her hotel room. When visiting the hotel this week, I was happy to see that the bathroom was remodeled with a sturdy class door leading to the shower. Unfortunately this time I struggled with water temperature and finally resorted to taking a lukewarm shower. The front desk sent a man to look at the hot water problem and her suggested that I run the water for 5 to 10 minutes before showering. The problems with showering are unfortunate because this is a lovely hotel, clean, nicely decorated, comfortable, and quiet. The staff are polite and ready to help. Since I am visiting the area for medical appointments, it is important that I bathe before the appointments and this has been a bit of a problem during my two stays at this hotel. I would try staying at this hotel one more time because I believe it has the potential to be a hotel deserving of a higher rating.

This hotel looks promising when you walk in, with high ceilings, spacious, airy common areas, and subtly modernistic décor. First, the good points about my week-long stay: the staff was friendly, check-in was fast, the room was clean, and it was nice to have daily housekeeping, which I had started to think was a relic of the past. I also liked the spaciousness of the suite I was given, with its vaulted ceiling and full kitchen area with sink, microwave, dishwasher and stand-up refrigerator--downright luxurious! The included breakfast every day was welcome--I especially enjoyed the plentiful fresh fruit bar. How often do you see fresh (not frozen) berries at a hotel breakfast bar? However, what started as minor annoyances became major gripes as the week went on. Some lights in the room didn't work, and a few switches appeared to be dummies, controlling nothing. The bathroom venting fan ran continuously and loudly, so much so that I had to keep the door shut. When I complained maintenance staff did come to look at it but afterward I still couldn't turn it off, though in fairness it did seem somewhat quieter--maybe it's not supposed to be switched off? Which leads me to the biggest complaint of all, the noise. I was assigned a room on the ground floor in a well trafficked corridor, adjacent to a door that led outside to the parking lot. Every time someone came in that door or entered or left one a nearby room I would hear a loud ”thunk!” as a heavy latch fell into place. I could actually feel the room wall shake every time this happened. If an establishment is going to install doors that swing shut so hard, the acoustic treatment of all the walls needs to be a lot better. By the end of the week I was desperate for some uninterrupted sleep, and couldn't even use the earplugs I had brought with me because housekeeping had thrown them away one morning. If I were ever to try this place again (not sure I will) I would make sure I got a room not on the ground floor and way off in a corner somewhere.

Gorgeous, large new room complete with kitchen and sitting area. Plenty of compliments teas and coffee in the room and really cozy large room for free breakfast off the lobby. First floor room also had very high ceilings. Would absolutely stay here again next time in the area to see family.

the room was clean and didn't look like a motel it felt like I was really on vacation although I only stayed in my hometown. The desk was accommodating and the breakfast was a plus gave me the option to choose a variety of things. This place had a pool and a workout room close to the highway and a few restaurants it's a live place so you won't feel like you're lacking excitement.if you're looking for a nice place to stay this is definitely it me and my boyfriend wanted to go somewhere that was nice in that had nice linen. It was a great stay hoping to stay again if I can find a discount.

I would have given 5 stars because as in all Hampton Inn we found ourselves very well. The usual room full of comfort and great the right. Flat TV and with all channels. Coffee in the room. Iron and beautiful shower. However, there was a problem with breakfast for the two mornings we stayed, the first opened with two and a half hours late, and the second morning was not served because of a problem with breakfast staff. But thanks to Son of the reception we managed to eat cereals and toast with marble.

When I visited Yale University, I stayed for one night, not far from Yale University, and the transportation was convenient. The free parking lot was sufficient. Breakfast is good in a similar hotel.

This is a really great option for a hotel in the New Haven. The hotel was clean (lobby, public areas and rooms), the room itself was very large and had a fridge, microwave, coffee area, convenient to heat up leftovers. It is very close to I-95 so an easy hop on the highway to get where you need to go quickly. It also has one of the better hotel breakfasts I have seen in a really long time, with decent yogurt (not sugar laden garbage) real bacon and eggs and delicious home made muffins. It is a 5 min drive from downtown Branford, which has cute restaurants and shops. The only reason for not giving this a 5 star, is that I reserve that rating for luxury hotels only. I highly recommend this.

We stayed this past weekend for one night (thankfully) and while entering the hotel front doors we were suddenly greeted by a huge construction site upon arrival. Now I understand properties update but this was over the top and the property should shut down to fully complete the renovations rather than continue to book without disclosing the information during the reservation process. This is not a good business practice and fair to consumers. First, the major renovations should be noted prior to booking as it is throughout the whole hotel and is causing major hazards and multiple inconveniences throughout the stay including plastic sheets hanging throughout the halls causing confusion as to where to go and trouble navigating with children and luggage, wet paint in many areas, carpeting taped down or ripped up and rolled in the middle of the hallway, high scaffolds blocking entrances, loud construction tools being used, dust flying throughout the hotel, no front check in area, no convenience shop to purchase drinks etc. Since we had already paid and it was after 4:00 we had no other option but to stay. We hoped our rooms would be a different story than what we encountered in the lobby and halls. When we entered the two rooms we booked we noticed they were outdated, however knowing now they were being renovated we gave them the benefit of the doubt. However while we were in the rooms we noticed many things completely unacceptable, such as lights not working (including the lights right next to the door when you entered), black mold in the high corners of the bathroom, food left from previous guests under the ottoman (which means they did not move them while cleaning), no soap left in the bathroom soap dispenser, broken shower doors and shower head, hair in corners of the bathroom and shower area, paint peeling and chipped off of the wall and the AC unit not cooling with a mildew smell. We also heard people yelling out by the pool area overnight and noticed one person sleeping out in the chairs. Needless to say we barley slept and left as early as possible the next day. While we were leaving the front desk staff or person sitting down looking at a phone near what would be the area of a front desk barley even looked up to acknowledge us all packed up early and checking out. Never once did they apologize for any issues that were clearly going on at their hotel. Be aware of the positive reviews on their main site and other sites and if you do need to book a room, clearly ask about their renovation status.

I've stayed here before as I work with UI next door. I was pleased to see that the exterior renovations were complete as this was a much needed upgrade. This pleasure ended quickly when I met your front desk agent. In all my years of traveling, this was perhaps the most rude and least hospitable interaction I've ever had. Your employee was sitting in the lobby on her phone when I walked in and begrudgingly walked to the desk when I arrived. It is a major pet peeve of mine to arrive to an unmanned front desk - as if a guest arrival is a distraction or interruption of some other activity. It's literally the most important interaction with a guest and sets the tone for the whole stay. When the front desk person made her way over, I was simply greeted with ”last name” and then ”points or market item”. There was no ”hello” or attempt at friendliness. This was a super surly and downright hostile interaction. No smile, no eye contact, no offer of directions to the room, no nothing except the absolute bare minimum amount of effort to get me a key and get her back to her chair in the corner and to her Instagram or TikTok. I witnessed an identical interaction with another guest an hour or so later when I made my way back from Outback. Charging some water to the room resulted in a similar ”name on the room” interaction when I spoke to her. The renovation is OK inside, but the rooms aren't any better. Were they even done? Stained chairs and old carpet, etc. I don't say this often, but the lady at the front desk needs to find a new job or be disciplined. I can't put into words how nasty she was and at a minimum she should have another role at the hotel. It was that bad and ridiculous and there's absolutely no excuse for her behavior. In my future travels to UI (3-4 times a year), I'll stay elsewhere probably - simply based on this interaction. How much business is this toxic person losing you?

The service of the hotel is very warm. The boy who entertained us was an Indian boy who was very friendly and smiled very kindly. Since we couldn't find the heating switch, he took the initiative to go upstairs to help us. The hotel has free parking spaces. There are many fast food options nearby, such as McDonald’s and Subway. In addition, there is a Wal-Mart supermarket opposite the hotel. It is also very convenient to buy some living supplies. The only regret is that there seems to be none in the Wal-Mart supermarket. Hot food. The hotel's facilities are relatively old, especially the heating noise is very loud, I even suspected that I was sitting on an airplane when the heating was turned on. Outside the window, it is adjacent to Highway 95. Although the traffic is convenient, it is still a bit noisy. Not enough of these did not affect our rest. It was very hard to drive all the way from Boston. The breakfast is very American and there are quite a few choices. In summary, overall praise should be given.
- DONG
The hotel is relatively clean! The staff is enthusiastic! Breakfast is generally the same every day! McDonald’s is across the road, Wal-Mart is 5 minutes’ walk away, and the hotel is Subway
