Reviews From Real Travelers
We chose the Hilton Dalaman for our family holiday during October half term, and it exceeded our expectations in many ways. Location: The beautifully maintained hotel offers a touch of luxury, especially in the Lake House Villas where we stayed. The surroundings and atmosphere were perfect for a family getaway. Dining: The dining experience was fantastic with a plethora of food choices. Special mention to the attentive waiter in the Breeze Bar who shared a personal touch about his upcoming wedding in Morocco. Cleanliness and Maintenance: Throughout our stay, the hotel was spotless. The attention to cleanliness added to the overall appeal of the resort. Accessibility: The buggy service was a convenient way to navigate the expansive resort, making it easy to explore different areas, including getting to and from the villas. Entertainment and Activities: The evening shows were truly impressive, with big productions that captivated both adults and kids. The water slides were a highlight for our children, and the variety of food options and the on-site ”zoo” (more like a farm) added to the entertainment. Atmosphere: The friendly family vibe was great, although the presence of many British visitors might be a factor to consider depending on your preference. Upgrades and Room Experience: We upgraded to the Lake House Villas, a decision that significantly enhanced our experience. The garden room, while okay, felt a bit dated and small. Some maintenance issues, like failing taps in the main restaurant toilets, could use attention. Minor Improvements: While the majority of the pools were a bit cold, you eventually adapt. It's worth noting that there was no complimentary à la carte meal, which differs from other all-inclusive experiences in Turkey. Recommendation: Despite some minor points, Hilton Dalaman stands out as a 5-star resort. It's one of the best all-inclusives I've experienced, and I highly recommend it for a luxurious family retreat.

Pros 1. The lake House suites are beautiful 2. The a la carte restaurants are fantastic. We tried the Italian and Indian. 3. The entertainment at nights was mostly good quality 4. The beach is beautiful 5. The waterparks are great and the fact they have one for smaller guests is fantastic 6. The kids pool is heated 7. Buffet had a good selection at all services and was kept warm 8. Drink selections were excellent 9. Lunch options were great. There were a few to choose from 10. Each block of Lake House suites has a jacuzzi pool and cafe/bar which was lovely and quiet and made our afternoons 11. The hotel and grounds were spotless. This Is the only holiday I have gone on and not had dirty feet once after walking around the grounds/room without shoes Cons 1. Lake House suites don't have a lot of storage for a family of 4 (upstairs) 2. Our Lake House suite didn't get any sun at all during the day 3. The pool areas are very busy, even in October, which means you have to play 'reserve the sunbed' 4. Main pools are very cold and the heated mini pool at the waterpark is overcrowded and therefore really dirty 5. The areas around the main pool which don't have mats down are VERY slippy. Seen lots of people fall and we had an incident ourselves resulting in stitches 6. Buffet restaurant very busy at times and could be difficult to get a table (we were a party of 6) Overall, this was a fantastic holiday and somewhere we would return to. There were way more pros than cons. I would say that the Lake House suites and Lake House cafe/bar area made it for us. We were able to get away from the bustle of the main hotel which was very busy. I'm not sure we would have enjoyed it as much if we had been staying in the main hotel.... Take the upgrade, you won't regret it!

The hotel is quite nice and located in the most central part of this lovely little coastal town. Our experience unfortunately was not so nice. For one, the hotel is not accessible by car and in a pedestrian zone. This was not notified on the booking site nor the hotel website. This was sorted out as the hotel has golf cart from potential parking areas however it would be smoother if this is clarified in advance. Next our room AC was not working and again this a unnecessary time consuming aggravation that the hotel could avoid by having better maintenance. However, once finally settled into our second room we were then pleased with our choice. Rooms are smart and well furnished. Location is top. Don’t expect a view of the Sea here though, too many boats docked in the Marina blocks any view.

The staff are very rosy, knowledgeable about everything. Heat welcome and the environment is waiting for you. The rooms were very clean and regular. Breakfast really worth trying. You can provide transport as you want with free parking and golf car service.

Stayed here for a few days while looking at property locally. A small, smart stylish hotel with helpful staff. Ideally positioned for many local restaurants within walking distance, right by the marina with a huge amount of boating activity going on. We did not have a hire car but parking did not look terribly easy. Great typical Turkish breakfast included including a lovely omelette if you wanted it. Nothing too much trouble for the staff, all rooms have effective aircon. and a great sea/marina view. We greatly enjoyed our few days here.

Marina Bay Gocek is a very good place to stay if you are in Göcek! The location is really close to centre, stunning views right from my room. The staff were incredibly attentive, and the room was comfortable. Also the delicious breakfast served each morning was one of the best. I left feeling refreshed and happy from this place!

Reviews From Real Travelers
What we liked: The hotel is super clean. Our room was great, big and beautiful. We walked with barefoot on the floor, because of the cleanliness. The bathroom big enough and clean. The products in the bathroom are from L'Occitane, a premium manufacturer of shampoos and cosmetics. The surrounding of the hotel is very pleasing. Everywhere colorful plants, flowers and trees. The setup is just amazing a little bit of Italy (Toskana) and Thailand. Carefully decorated with a high degree of pleasing details. The pool area is just as amazing as the rest. The pool itself is filled with warm water. There are enough towels and sun lounger. Don't miss the amazing sunset. Just beautiful. In summary, if you want to avoid the crowded place and appreciate privacy this is the place to be. Staff is very friendly. You get a fresh cocktail and a plate of fresh fruits as a welcome gift. What we did not like: As much as we liked the hotel the breakfast and the service was not able to keep u with the rest of the hotel. Breakfast with one word was catastrophic. To put it in perspective. The hotel has ”only” 11 rooms. So the amount of guest waiting for their breakfast is more than managable. They only had one official waiter. The selection was really bad. Some jams, which we did not like. Some sausage with eggs (turkish dish), olives. That's it. No chocolate cream or cream cheese. What really was disappointing was that we constanly had to ask for bread. It was as if they intentionally wanted to annoy the guests. As the waiter always brought one or two slices of bread. Even other guest were really pissed of. The ”highlight” was that we asked for orange juice, which was not fresh, it was packed. They did not tell us, that orange juice is not for free. So it came in surprise to us when we checked out. Nobody told us. This is a scam. They had filter coffee and instant coffee as well as coffee from a coffee machine. The filter coffee was for free. Unfortunately the filter caffee was not always available. Instead they provided us with instant coffee powder, which was also billed at checkout. Again nobody told us, that this will cost, let alone, that it is more than rude to sell instant coffee. In summary the breakfast does not match the price tag and is disappointing. Not a good way of starting into the day. Eating at the hotel restaurant is kind of gambling. There is no information available regarding the available dishes and of course price tag. You have to ask. And I can tell you, the price will depend on who is asking. This is ridiculous and does not suit the ”wanna be” high quality of the rest. The hotel is accessible by a gate. You drive with your own car into the premise. Driving in and out is annoying, as you have to wait until somebody notice that you want to drive in or out (precious time is wasted). In summary, this hotel could achieve 10 of 10 points, by changing litte. Breakfast is no rocketscience. Staff is really friendly but not always

We loved our stay at Zigo’s. The hotel is beautiful with stunning gardens. It really does feel like a slice of Tuscany. The Turkish breakfast was a particular highlight with everything you could possibly want and more - fresh breads, börek, hellim, cucumber, tomatoes, homemade jams... We loved trying the homemade cherry and pomegranate juices too. The hotel was Covid conscientious - our suitcases were sanitised as soon as we arrived, and there were packs of masks and antibacterial wipes in the rooms which was a nice touch. The rooms are beautifully furnished and super comfortable. Hande very generously upgraded our room when we had a small issue with the water in our original room. All of the staff were super accommodating and kind. The housekeeping in particular was excellent - the room was spotless throughout our stay. One night they arranged a beautiful dinner table for us outside with candles for dinner as a surprise. We were looking for a few days of downtime so we didn’t venture outside the hotel, but if you’re visiting and would like to explore the area it’s best to have a car. The pool is the perfect place to relax and read, and most importantly was really clean and well-maintained, with very comfortable and stylish seating all around. We’ll definitely be returning and look forward to seeing the hotel prosper!!

Reviews From Real Travelers
Having stayed here back in 2019, and been really impressed, we chose to come back during our first post-COVID foreign holiday. Initial impressions at reception, with the lack of welcome and very cursory tour of the hotel's facilities en route to our room, were not good. While the room had been made up, the decor looked tired, and air conditioning had not been set to a comfortable level. We stayed for 6 nights and by the end were not disappointed to leave. Too many staff throughout the hotel, with a few exceptions, lacked customer skills and did not greet guests when passing, rather avoiding interaction. Most of the staff serving at breakfast time appeared undertrained, and purely reactive, having to be approached and asked for water glasses to be filled, and coffee brought to the table. Rather than anticipating gust needs they tended to cluster together, chatting, seeing their role as collecting plates. The breakfast buffet offering was underwhelming and more worthy of a less expensive hotel. The only positive was the cooking of omelettes to order. We did not eat lunch or dinner at the hotel. We did not have to wait long for buggy rides to and from the beach. For a private beach we were disappointed that while boats were allowed to moor close offshore, and there seemed to be no attempt to regulate the speed of vessels, nor the distance they kept from the swimming area. The incessant passing of yachts and other vessels, resulting noise and waves, detracted from the swimming experience. We were surprised that while on the beach we were never approached by staff to ask if we wanted anything. To get water we had to walk to the kiosk and pay an inflated price, whereas I would have expected that water would be supplied free by a hotel of this type.On one occasion a dog was able to encroach upon what is supposed to be a dog-free beach without any visible action by staff. While the beach is a private one it is possible for day-trippers to pay for entry, undermining claims of exclusivity. Our biggest disappointment was with the housekeeping off our room. We found the mattress uncomfortable and, after the first night, approached reception to ask whether a mattress topper could be fitted. The initial reaction to our request was less than positive and we had to have a number of visits before it was agreed something would be done. We found communicating with reception staff re this difficult as their understanding of English was less than we would have expected for their role. A duvet was put on top of the mattress and this proved adequate although another request for a top sheet to be fitted required numerous interactions with reception before it was fitted and when bedding was changed was removed. We also had to contact reception after housekeeping failed to replenish complimentary bottles of water. We used the hotel pool but later in the afternoon found we were the victims of biting insects, and saw no attempts at insect control in the water

Have stayed at The D Resort many times and can honestly say it gets better every time, every member of staff are lovely, friendly and welcoming, and also remember you from your last visit. With Every stay you are made to feel special as if it’s your first time. We had great views over the marina from our balcony. Amazing breakfast with so much choice, fantastic Breeze restaurant and beautiful white sandy beach.. absolute paradise. Looking forward to next year.
