I booked this hotel through Hotels.com using my tesco reward points. So I only had to pay taxes. I stayed from Wed-Mon in the middle of July. I was sent the long way around to this hotel by google maps but when I said to the receptionist that I wouldn’t be able to walk that way at night she corrected me and it was only a short climb up the steps to the train station. I arrived at 11am and was just expecting to use the toilet and leave my luggage. But Estella said my room was ready and so I went straight up to the 9 floor. My room was right over the train lines but with the windows shut you did not hear them. A huge bed, lovely shower and a fridge. The bed was very comfortable. I needed to get to De Meern to see friends and Estella pointed me in the right direction for a lovely walk which took 60 minutes in the lovely countryside. Breakfast was great and and even though the hotel was full there were no queues for breakfast. Throughout my stay all staff were kind and polite. My only negatives and they are so small was when I asked for more regular coffee reception didn’t have again and the cup holder on the ice machine was nearly always empty. Overall I have had a excellent stay and I will be back.

We really enjoyed staying at this hotel. The family room was spacious with separate bedrooms and two bathrooms. Beds very comfortable. Great location a short distance from the central train station. The swimming pool is moderately sized but perfect for us. Refreshing after a warm day. The breakfast was varied and delicious.

Modern duplex room type, suitable for young people. Good service. A bit out of the old city center but within walking distance. The surrounding environment of the nearby canal is excellent.
recommend.

The hotel has a nice location, rooms and service. It can be reached by foot from the train station. Except for the surrounding Turkish area, the others are very good.

I travelled with a coach party for a weekend stay Fri-Mon. The journey took longer than expected so the coach driver rang the hotel to say we wouldn’t make our slot for dinner at 7pm but we would be there by 7.30. When we got there our dinner was not ready. They brought out some cold starters that were very nice but we had a long wait for the mains. When they did arrive there was very little for a coach party of 45 people. I am a vegetarian and there was nothing for me apart from plain vegetables, chips, dry spaghetti and rice. I complained and was told there would be veggie options the following night. I have no idea if there were any because there was nothing to tell you what each dish was and nobody to ask!! Every night the food ran out quickly and there was no-one around to refill things. The staff were conspicuous by their absence. Based on the food we were offered there is no way this is a 4 star hotel.

The hotel is very good. Breakfast is plentiful. The room is large. The toilet and bath are separate.

Only steps away from the Utrecht Central Station, this Hampton Inn is extremely convenient if traveling by train. Amsterdam and AMS are about a 30 minute train ride. The hotel is located inside a shopping mall which is very safe and secure. The old canal area, with its many shops, bars, and restaurants are also just a very short walk away. Rooms are typical for this hotel brand, but maybe a bit smaller if you are accustomed to American sized rooms. The free breakfast can be crowded at peek hours. However, the quality of the breakfast is outstanding for a select service hotel.

The hotel is on the first floor of a big new shopping centre just across the road from the central railway station and is well signposted. The rooms are accessed by an efficient lift. The rooms are modern, clean and comfortable with efficient air conditioning. The main town of Utrecht is just out of the back door of the shopping mall and so is very convenient. The staff were welcoming and very helpful. There was a delicious breakfast with a waffle maker which was fun to use.

We stayed at the Karol V for 4 nights and we were very impressed with the location, staff and general quality of the hotel. It was easy to find and parking is available. Our room was in the new Roman wing and was light, airy, quiet and very comfortable. We had drinks in the beautiful gardens and dinner in the Bistro, both delightful. The location is perfect for exploring the old town on foot and we didn’t need the car at all. We visited Amsterdam for the day by train which was interesting but very busy. We were glad to return to the tranquility of the Karol V and Utrecht.

Overall a nice hotel good location but yesterday we tried to have dinner in the Bistro at 6.30. It was empty but we were told it was fully booked. We went into town and had a pleasant meal by the canal. We came back at 7,45. There were four tables being served outside and it was empty inside. How bizarre. Strange that a 5 star hotel doesn’t want to sell food

Day-ahead traveled in a club event in Beesd.
Therefore, a night sleeping here, a large room, as well as bed, the kisses are soft, and that must be a taste for me, no problem and a great sleep. The bathroom was also fine on towels after this was moderate, since there was only 1 large towel for 2 people. But 2 very small was less. Breakfast was also fine in this form so very thickly satisfied

Good service. Free parking in the garage. Near the crash roads and at Utrecht. Have eaten once in the restaurant and that was fine. Rooms and bathroom were clean. If we went on that way again, I would certainly stay in this hotel again.

Great location. Close to lots of shops and easy access to the bus services. Off a busy street but room was quiet. Nice sized room with all the basic things you will need. I didn't have the breakfast but it is available for purchase separately and looked quite nice. Overall a lovely stay and would consider it again in the future.

Breakfast is not provided, no extra bed is available, standard room with double bed, small children should be able to. The location is good and quiet. Although I live on the ground floor, it is quiet and has a great rest. Environmental sanitation is also possible, in short the experience is good.
