Conditions are OK, MOTEL facilities are a bit old
- 张
Stayed Nov 2022. It was terrible. I had made a booking but they didn't have it on their system. I 'think' they only had one room left and were'trying' to help me, but they were mumbling to each other and were very broad in their accent 🥴 I did not have time to look for anything else as I was leaving right away for a function. I cdnt open curtains as there was no privacy. There was a mattress on top of a wardrobe which had no doors? The bathroom was the same design as a pic I saw on booking.com but nowhere near to being in the same condition. It was not very clean or professionally presented at all. I owned a motel (sold recently) and that room would not even rate on the AAA Tourism scale! They would not accept it. The front garden was overgrown with grass and ****s and not a good look on driving in. If I had had time to find something else I definitely would have. $150 for one person 🥴 No value for money at all. I would definitely NOT recommend it, especially for families. Right on a very busy road, but it wasn't noisy.

Lovely quiet spot only about 5kms from Chirnside park shopping centre. Room was generously sized with lovely views over the golf course and the local roos popping past for their morning constitutional. Bed was really comfortable. It is time for the rooms to be updated though they are looking tired. Steak in the bar was great and breakfast had lots of options. Staff were friendly and helpful. Hot tips: check before arrival if restaurants are open and ask for a room on 3rd floor overlooking the golf course.

Enjoyed two nights at this hotel whilst visiting friends in Melbourne. The hotel is geared for conferences rather than tourists during the week and seems very quiet at night although clearly there were other guests. Very nicely situated peacefully in the Melbourne hills and away from the bustling city. Excellent value for money, with considerate and helpful staff.

We recently spent 2 nights here & booked via booking.com. The hotel stands out like a gold shimmery beacon in a flat landscape but there is no signage to indicate how to access the place. It’s mainly occupied by residents so isn’t like a conventional hotel - this isn’t obvious at booking. There is no contact number so after doing laps of the block I ran out to the front door to see a mobile number for the manager on duty. He opened the underground car park door & we parked. Then checked in where he told us that there was no parking associated with our booking. He ended up finding a spot 20 minutes later. The room was nice. New, clean & had everything you need. The indoor pool needs to be prebooked which wasn’t told to us and the reception hours were different to what the print out of information they gave us at check in. The area has plenty of Asian cuisine options and little else. Finding a coffee or a cafe for breakfast on the Saturday morning was impossible - there’s just nothing open (except maccas). Overall everything was just too difficult & not smooth. Last thing you want after traveling for 12 hours.

Our family comprising 4 adults + 1 toddler and 1 infant stayed 3 nites in a 2 bedroom apartment. A baby cot was provided as per our request. Apartment was fully furnished with fully equipped kitchen plus washer/dryer machine. And so we’re able to cook meals and do laundry. BoxHill Central Shopping Mall is just next door and there are plenty of eateries around the hotel. The hotel is about 45 mins drive from Melbourne airport. There wasn’t any more parking available for us so we’d to park along the road and at the train station under the shopping mall (free parking). Overall, it was a comfortable stay.

A good set up with parking available, admittedly you pay a fee but an good option. I couldn’t get the TV to work but it was fixed very quickly by friendly staff. No instructions on how to navigate the TV etc…. Would be nice to have a book with info about restaurant etc…close by. There was. Bit of noise both inside and outside the hotel which was disappointing as I went there for peace and quiet. Overall a good experience with room for improvements

Stayed at the hotel many times. This time I upgraded the room type. The view from the balcony is great. The hotel has paid parking, and you can also park on the streets nearby. The surrounding environment is also good

The Sebel Ringwood has so many good points. It’s close to transport, shops and restaurants. It offers full king-size beds, and a large bathroom with a night-light. It’s set up for modern travel – we were able to charge all our devices at once from the numerous power points and USB plugs. The staff are overall very professional. So we will definitely stay at the Sebel again. The one downside was breakfast. We had to make an early start, so we were pleased to see that breakfast starts at 6 am on a weekday. It didn’t work as planned. There’s no buffet, we ordered cooked meals. There was only one cook, he hadn’t prepared in advance, so he ambled in and out of the storeroom getting ingredients, and our breakfasts arrived close to 6:30. My portion turned out to be very small, so I went looking for fruit. There’s none! No fruit salad, no bowl of bananas and oranges, nothing! So I left the hotel hungry. Because breakfast had taken so long, we had to rush to brush our teeth, do a final pack, and hurry to catch our train. I would much prefer what I’ve seen in other hotels of the same standard, where there’s a buffet plus a cook who makes to order dishes like omelettes, scrambled eggs, or full English. Before I forget, breakfast at the Sebel included freshly squeezed orange juice and coffee from an espresso machine, which were both very good.

From the moment I checked in I felt this was going to be a great experience..... and it was...... Exceeded my expectations. The reception staff were all delightful and my room #305 was just great..... Super quiet and SO very spacious with everything you could ask for. From fridge, microwave, Nespresso coffee machine, 2 TV's, small balcony, plenty of wardrobe space & SUPER comfy bed. A very happy camper !!!! Thank you once again all staff at Sebel Ringwood. 10/10

Good environment, good location
- Judy
On arrival on Friday afternoon, I was asked for my credit card, which is not unusual, and I provided it. Subsequently, I discovered that the motel immediately debited the card with the sum of $676.00. I had made a reservation for a King Room but was shown a Double (Room 33). When I question it, the receptionist told me that the motel guarantees accommodation but not the type. In other words, irrespective of what I may have “booked”, I would have to take what I was given; Subsequently, the receptionist “discovered” that they had a spare King Room and shifted us to it (Room 28). There was no toilet paper or tissues and there was a patina of dust on all surfaces; Daily housekeeping services apparently did not extend to emptying the bins or anything more than simply pulling up the top sheet of the bed and replacing towels; On the Monday morning, the toilet blocked and as we left for the day’s outing we reported it to reception; When we returned to the motel on Monday evening, it was discovered that nothing had been done in the room at all. We went down to reception to report and the tall (Korean?) chap on the desk said he would organise someone to attend to the matters “later”. When we questioned how long “later” meant, he became quite aggressive and said he would shift us to an adjoining room and gave us the key (to Room 29). That room did not appear to have been occupied for some considerable time. There were no towels, washers, toilet paper, tissues, tea, milk, etc. These we subsequently obtained; A chap occupying a room on the same level reported to us that his room had been infested with mice and he had had to shift and was demanding a discount; We decided that we also should be entitled to a discount and the following occurred: The (Korean?) receptionist said that problems with housekeeping and plumbing were not their responsibility; We enquired about what rate we had been charged and were told it was the standard rate. We pointed out that according to their website, the standard rate was $140.00 per night. The receptionist ignored that completely and said we had been charged $169.00 for Friday and Saturday nights and $140.00 for Sunday and Monday nights. I asked for my credit card statement and discovered that I had been charged $169.00 for all four nights. The receptionist refused to discuss the matter further and concluded by saying “you have paid the bill and we are not changing it”.

Firstly the staff were awesome! So helpful and welcoming. We stayed in a standard room for 2 nights. The room was really clean and very comfortable with a good size bar fridge and very comfortable bed. Modern bathroom with a large shower. We would definitely stay again.

Stayed from Friday evening for the weekend was a lovely experience. I felt like a queen staying there. Room was great except for being a bit stuffy. Staff were very pleasant and accommodating food was fit for a queen. Only fault I would have is when asked how to use coffee machine staff did not no how to use and outside could do with some repairs. But highly recommend for somewhere to stay and would definitely stay there again. Thanks to all at Caturbury International Hotel.

This hotel located in Ringwood and around 30 minutes drive to Yarra valley or Dandenong area.
The hotel located above major shopping centre so it’s convenience, location also next to train station.
Room are spacious and bed are comfortable.
Parking is available for $10 per night.
The only downside is they do not provide room cleaning on Sunday so If you stay 2 night like us, from Saturday to Monday, you won’t get the room serviced as they don’t have housekeeper on Sunday.
Very strange rule and it was not inform when we made the booking
