Rocaberti, S/N, Peralada, Catalonia, Spain
"This is a beautiful, relaxing spa hotel where all the rooms are named for different opera instead of having room numbers. We had a suite which I highly recommend - you have your very own private terrace (this is also the entrance to your room) which is a very good size and well appointed with comfortable furniture. The room itself was very spacious with a huge bed, a comfortable sitting area, a gorgeous bathroom and and a generous dressing area with enough space to actually unpack and breathe including an enormous mirror to dress by. The furnishings are simple and spa like but cozy at the same time. We did a couples spa treatment with a red wine jacuzzi and 4 hands couples massage. It was in a private room with lots of candles along the floor for romantic lighting. The room had a private jacuzzi, shower and sauna plus a bed for relaxing between treatments. At the end we were served a lovely heaping plate of fruit and cava while relaxing. It was truly a decadent, unforgettable experience. When we were done we also took advantage of the rest of the water areas of the spa which were tranquil and lovely as well. This hotel and spa were so wonderful that we even extended our stay. The staff are very kind and welcoming, they brought a delightful bottle of cava to our room in honor of our anniversary which was a truly lovely touch. I can't say enough about our stay, it felt magical to us and we hope to return some day."
"Nice hotel with golf course. Very professional handling of Covid measurements. Spacious rooms with large bathrooms and comfortable beds. The pool area could have a few more sun loungers as all were taken when we arrived at the pool. The service and food at the pool / garden restaurant was a bit poor. A bit of training and maybe some other dishes could make it much better. The main restaurant is great, nice design, friendly service and nice food. I bought two bottles of the delicious Peralada olive oil on departure and already wish I had bought more. "
"This is a very nice hotel with a golf, thus mainly attended by people playing golf... There is a nice and large swimming pool but there are not enough umbrellas and not enough loungers on a sunny day. The restaurant is very good. The staff is very friendly. They offer a bvery convinient free shuttle to the castle to listen to concerts during the summer festival."

Carrer Solitari 3, Cadaques, Catalonia, Spain
"We stayed in this hotel for 3 nights during September 2019. The hotel is located in the upper side of town, so you have beautiful views of the ocean and the town. It has a nice swimming pool and a good outside terrace to enjoy the daily breakfast. Our room had a small balcony overlooking the ocean. Rooms are well appointed and decorated in a modern way. However, our room was a little ran down. There is paid parking but at the time we went there, there was plenty of free parking just next to the hotel. It also has a restaurant but we did not eat there. Location is good to visit Cadaques and the bars. Staff is friendly. We had a very special rate for this hotel hence we decided to go. Otherwise, regular price is way too pricey and does not correspond to the services. If you get a good rate, why not give it a try. If not, there are other options in Cadaques just as good for at least half the price. JLT"
"We were fortunate to be guests at the Villa Gala in Cadaques and we must say that it was a true jewel of a discovery. After the energy and pace of Barcelona, we spent 3 magical days with the team at Villa Gala and they certainly made us feel welcome. From the beautiful breakfasts, outstanding lunches by the pool, directions to various places and restaurants to visit, they were extremely warm. We also loved our terrace overlooking the town church. We will be back again to experience this wonderful hospitality in this special part of the Costa Brava."
"Villa Gala is a gem in Cadaques, we enjoyed our weekend there. The location is perfect, the room was beautiful and comfortable with great design to maximise the space. All the rooms have views to the village and sea beyond, a very special location. Easy walk down to the village and all the restaurants. The breakfast was perfect and the pool and small outside area is beautifully designed as well. I'd stay again and highly recommend it to anyone."

Cami de les Corts s/n, Camp dels Pilans, L'Alt Emporda, Catalonia, Spain
"Hotel Moli is outstanding in terms of service, food and ambiance. This beautiful 200 year old flour mill has been restored and converted into a hotel and restaurant with an event area. They also grow some of their own veggies on site and there is a white horse that hangs out by the river that runs through the building. In fact, the hotel is so beautiful that we got engaged on the roof terrace facing the horse. Our room was exceptional. Very large and beautifully designed with thoughtful interfacing between the 200 year old elements and modern touches. There was a king sized bed and a huge bathroom. There is no lift but the building is only 2 stories high. We had the set lunch at the hotel for 22€ each which was amazing value given the quality of our food and the portion sizes. It also includes water and a bottle of wine. Breakfast was very very good too (15€) and they made an exception for us and let us have it an hour before their usual breakfast service starts. Staff were always extremely helpful, friendly and accommodating, they even brought us out back to see the horse when we asked about it. This hotel is extremely highly recommended and we will return not just for the memories but also for the exceptional food, service and hotel experience."
"Just a wonderful hotel. Lovely walks from the hotel. We turned right out of the hotel, up the lane, over the hill and the view is superb including the snow capped mountains. Irene on reception most helpful. Large room with good views. Good bath and shower and nice toiletries. The maitre d' (sorry did not get your name) and Alex in the restaurant most efficient. It was also very nice to meet the Chef/Patron. A nice touch. Food EXCELLENT but no vegetarian main course but OK if you are a Pescatarian! !! Beach five minute drive away. Hope that we will return one day soon."
"The building itself as a long and very interesting history (ask the staff if interested), it is remodeled to perfection with excellent taste, the rooms where well appointed with all the amenities you would expect from a true 4 star hotel, The breakfast was great, tasteful, fresh made to order, on the staff day off the owner made us breakfast ,we where the only one there this day. The staff is young an energetic and provide an outstanding service with a smile. The setting is peaceful, organic garden in the back, river running thru, this was one of the best part of our trip."

Carrer de Pianc, 3, Cadaques, Catalonia, Spain
"Our 7th stay in this small paradise sitting in the middle of Cadaquès... Owners, a Catalan and his great Belgian wife have created what you could consider beingThe perfect family hotel: - Location_Location-Location: best possible area in the village - Rooms are simple yet comfortable and of good taste (book the port view: a must!) - Staff is fantastic: pro and very friendly (has been incredible in setting-up anti-Covid rules) - Pool area is great, "niched" in the middle of the olive-trees with the perfect lunch option (do not miss the Sunday BBQ) Can'y wait to go back next year, or maybe before...?"
"Stayed in late October. Hotel was fantastic with lovely employees. Get a balcony room overlooking the sea and town. The view is great especially in early evening/dusk when all the lights come on. When I booked I didn't really care about the pool but my goodness sitting by the pool under the olive trees or having a peaceful lunch at the lovely restaurant was a highlight. Cadaques is a really lovely and charming town with very good reasonably priced restaurants. Can't wait to visit again."
"This place is cozy at the same time luxurious. You will enjoy the Balconies and the fantastic view of water. Not many beaches around bout you have one right in Front of Hotel. We made the reservation online and it’s recommended that you do booking online. Also the hotel will be closed for a few months during winter."

"Surrounded by vineyards, Sa Perafita is a charming 14th-century building located 10 minutes’ drive from Cadaqués. It offers attractive, air-conditioned rooms with a lounge, flat-screen TV and hydromassage shower. The rooms at Sa Perafita feature wood and soft tones. Each one has a kettle and offers views of the surrounding countryside. The hotel offers tasting sessions of its home-made wines. Massage services are also available. Sa Perafita is in the beautiful Cap de Creus Nature Reserve. Salvador Dalí’s summer house, which is now a museum, is 10 minutes’ drive away."

Raval de la Font, 5, Vilamaniscle, Catalonia, Spain
"We stayed here for a night on our leisurely way from Cadaques to Barcelona. The house is at the far end of a small town perched on a hill overlooking a beautiful Romanesque church and small cork forest. The house is an old farmhouse that has been lovingly (and somewhat lavishly) restored. The rooms are gorgeous, and the beds and linens extremely comfy. Nice as the setting was, the best part of our stay was the dinner. The hosts will make you dinner if you ask in advance. On this night, we were the only guests and so we had a single romantic table looking out over the valley serenaded by swallows. The food that Montse made for us was resolutely local, seasonal, and Catalan. Most magical was the stew of bacon, carrots and fresh favas. It tasted like the breeze that was blowing through the window on us. It really was a magical spot."
"Another great stay at Mas Vivent. As always, a very friendly greeting on arrival, a lovely cool, clean room, a wonderful breakfast in almost complete silence (only the birds make a noise!) and with a view out over the countryside, complimentary bottles of cool water for the day out....all small details that make a stay worthwhile. This time Xavier suggested a very pretty route from Roses to the virtually unspoiled Cala Joncols, along with ideas for where to eat and what to expect on the way. Very highly recommended - and well worth the visit. Try their offer of cooking for dinner with Montse - we had great fun and learned a great recipe that we still use. Gracies de nou Xavier i Montse!"

Avinguda de la Platja, 2, Roses, Catalonia, Spain
"We stayed at the Montecarlo Hotel for 1 night during the month of October. We had booked a double bed with the expectation of a three star hotel at the beach with excellent service. Entrance - The entrance of the hotel does give the impression that it requires some maintenance. The paintings even have holes (?) in them. Check-in - Opens from 14h00. When we checked-in, the receptionist gave us our keys to our room and it turned out our room did not look anything like the pictures (80's interior) and had 2 separate beds. When we moved back to the reception to inform her about this, she told us they were unfortunately fully booked and could provide no other options. We understood her point, but as we were on holiday and anticipated a double bed and proper amenities for the amount of money paid, we decided to cancel our booking. She was friendly and pleased to help us with this request, but after realizing the effort it took to process (being alone at the reception) she proposed an upgrade with a double bed and sea view. Tired, we took the room. Room - Allthough the room had a nice view, was clean and updated we did not anticipate the loud music from the hotel lounge below us. The music started at 20h00 went on till 0h30 midnight. Closing the window did not help.. The bed was a bit short (my height is 1.86 cm), but comfortable to lay on. Spa - The spa is accessible from 9h00 till 21h00. It is disconnected from the main hotel (you have to walk through the restaurant and go outside where people are eating and drinking) The pool was clean, although a bit small. Both sauna's smelled like mold and therefor we were unable to enjoy it. The following morning we had breakfast (open between 8h00-10h00). Though there is plenty of choice, the quality is lacking (stale bread, canned fruit and powdered coffee). Besides all of the above, we managed to make the best out of our stay. Based upon the above, we unfortunately cannot recommend the hotel. "
"I stayed in Montecarlo Hotel 3 times and was always happy with the room and service. The air conditioning working very well and quiet. The hotel is non smoking, but there were ash trays on the balconies. Decor is a bit classic but that is to be expected from a 3 *** hotel. There is a small swimming pool, sauna, and a hot bubble bath in a glass enclosure. Very good breakfast is included in the price of the room. The buffet style evening meal is good and varied. There is a live music evening in the restaurant downstairs until midnight. The staff is friendly and obliging. I literally cannot say anything negative about this hotel even if I wanted to. "
"Stayed here as part of the Newmarket Holidays 'little trains of the Pyrenees' holiday. Hotel seems to serve large groups of tourists from all countries, so the catering is rather basic and is on a self-service basis in huge restaurant. This can be overwhelming when a lot of tours come in all together. My room was at the side at the back of the hotel and I did not hear any of the music or traffic etc. It was clean and roomy. There was a 'side-on' view of Roses and the sea, which was fabulous. Reception staff did not seem to be comfortable in speaking English! However the location was great - right by the beach and promenade and near little touristy shops. The local bus stop to Roses is a few minutes away as is the Roses Express land train. The hotel is 'no frills' but I found it quite acceptable for a short stay. However, it is a dog friendly hotel and there were lots of them staying there!!!"

"After we have read the comments and watched the pictures we have to decide to spend our 17 days here. Personally I have a deeply email conversation with Carlos, that give me the last decision to choose this hotel more than other. He and his team are simply lovely and well prepared to make our journey comfortable, giving us many tips (resturants, places to see ...) and making us feel like at home. The hotel is amazing: we slept in the new area (first floor) with balcony. Everything is surrounded by nature and silence. We wanted relaxing and we have found what we needed. The swimming pool is also lovely and I used the garden around to training fitness and dancing also in the morning as well in the afternoon. The breakfast is something that I will miss: simply but accurate with season fruits and fresh breads. (don't forget to try the tomatoes: they are from the garden and they have an incredible taste). At the end, if you need a place where you can recharge your spirit and soil this is highly and strictly recommended. Ps: Carlos y el equipo, muchas gracias por todos! Los chicos de Alemania. A&J"
"Visited beginning of June 2017. Charismatic and stylish, I recommend this hotel for those who seek the perfectly peaceful holiday with yet so much to explore. Only about 40 minutes drive from Girona airport. The room was modern and clean. Beds comfortable. Hotel is situated in a very quiet area, yet only about 5 km from the beach. Car is a must. Rented car at Girona airport and explored whole coastline. If you have the time, visit Cadaques, picturesque city with best tapas. There were some nice bio stores near the hotel if you want to buy some local food. Hotel produces its own wine as well, you should definitely taste their red wine."
"We've just come back from Spain and this hotel was our home for 4 nights. It's exactly what you hope it is. Clean. New. Superb Staff. Tasty breakfast. Nice pool. Quiet at night. And despite how it might look, only about 5 minutes from the beach in a car. You do need a car here though. Couldn't recommend it enough, a great base for the area."
