We spent two nights at this hotel. Because it seemed very unsafe to leave the property. We ate all of our meals there. Most of them were good. But when we went to the sky bar for dinner, we got scammed. We asked the bartender for two glasses of a Chardonnay. He told us he did not have it by the glass. So we asked to see the wine list to see if we could order a bottle. He then checked the refrigerator at the bar and took out three bottles of white wine. One of them was Chardonnay, and the other two were Sauvignon blanc. We asked him how much the bottle of Chardonnay was he said he did not know and he checked the wine list, but it was not on the list according to him He made several phone calls and inquiries to find out how much the bottle of wine was. After about 15 minutes with no answer and the wine sitting there getting warm and us wanting to have a drink, we asked him to just go ahead and open it because we had looked at the wine list and the wines listed were mostly around $60. The wine was fine, but certainly nothing great. When we got the check, they charged us about $250 for the bottle of wine. We were stunned. We enjoy wine, but I can honestly say we have never had a bottle of wine that cost $250. Especially one that was pulled out of the refrigerator at the bar. It didn’t even come from a wine cellar. When we questioned it, another woman who I assume was a manager came over and pointed to the wine list and showed us that it was the one that was marked $1,100,000 Madagascar That equates to about $250. They had already taken the bottle away so we couldn’t even question whether that was the same bottle but either way there is certainly a question why they couldn’t find the price for the bottle that we had if it was right there on the wine list. I think they just scammed us. The rest of the hotel stay was nice the rooms were fine and the Spa technicians were really excellent Breakfast buffet was good as well. But I would never send anybody to this hotel, knowing that they feel comfortable scamming. Guests. It was an awful feeling.

My wife and i stayed here twice while travelling around Madagascar in September. The accommodation was very clean and of a very good standard. Staff were very helpful and friendly, the restaurant provided good food in the evening as well as an excellent breakfast with plenty of choices and there was some live music in the evening. It is in a really good location, walking distance to the main market area, as well as close to several sights. We would unhesitatingly stay here again and definitely recommend it.

The breakfast is good, the location is very good, very close to the factory, driving only 10 minutes. When you go, you will meet National Day and watch the best place for fireworks show!

I have stayed ２ times so far. Although it is an old hotel, the location is good and you can be satisfied with the hotel services such as breakfast, sports gym and spa. However, at midnight, the hotel staff had invaded with the key. At 2:30 midnight from August 19th to 20th, 2023, a male hotel staff used the key to enter the room with a woman. When I yelled, they hurried out, and for a while they were quarreling in the hallway, and then the staff called, ”I'm sorry I opened it because I thought it was an empty room.” The next day I went to the front desk to complain, but it was not reported and it seemed to be erased among the staff. So far there is no official apology from the hotel. Those who stay should put chairs or suitcases in front of the door and be careful not to physically open the door. I have stayed here twice now. On August 19-20, 2023, a male hotel staff member entered the room with a female using a duplicate key at 2:30 a.m. When I yelled at them, they left in a hurry and argued in the hallway for a while. Later, I received a phone call and stuff saying, ”I thought it was an empty room and opened it, I'm sorry.” The next day, Sunday morning I went to the front desk to complain, but it was not reported to reception and seemed to have been hushed among the staff. So far, there has been no formal apology from the hotel. Those who are staying at the hotel should be vigilant to make sure that the door cannot be physically opened by placing a chair or suitcase in front of the door.

Je me sens très mal à écrire ce commentaire parce que le staff est excellent, le ptt déjeuner très bon, le check in/out rapid et gentil, super nettoyage, mais... Le group ACCOR/ Ibis au Madagascar ne suit pas les mêmes règles de respect de l'environnement, du personnel et des commonautes comme il fait en Europe. Dans toute les chambres il y'a shampoo, gel douche et savon comme échantillon en plastique (pas les bouteilles rechargeables comme en UE). Il n'y a aucune politique du respect environmental et des communautés qui soit partagée avec les clients. Il n'y a pas l'option de ne pas faire laver les serviettes tous les jours (presque partout en Europe). Même ils te donne une bouteille plastique d'eau tous le jours (très bienvenue pour la santé mais vraiment une fabrique de plastique) quand il pourrait mettre des dispensers d'eau à chaque étage, à côté de l'ascenseur, avec vente de bouteilles pas en plastique à la réception (mieux si produit par une de commonautes autour de l'hôtel et marqués 'je respect la nature du Madagascar”. Je pourrai ajouter bcp des conseils pratiques qui sont déjà là normalité presque partout, ou il y a une conscience basique de l'importance de respecter notre planète, mais ils ne sont pas pour IBIS, dans un paradis pour la nature, la biodiversité et les commonautes indigènes comme le Madagascar. Et je n'entre pas à parler du gaspillage de nourriture, même quand il y a poverté extrême et famine au Madagascar. Sí tu penses que la beauté de la nature du Madagascar est à préserver et protéger, comme la qualité de la vie des ses enfants, donc tu devra repenser la choix du IBIS Antananarive.

My wife and I spent one night at Le Relais des Plateaux on the way to Antsiranana/Diego Suarez. Our stay was very short as we arrived late from the Air France flight and left very early. However, it was enough to take note that Le Relais des Plateaux is a very good option for a stay in Antananarivo. The shuttle waited for us at the terminal. As our flight was leaving very early in the morning the driver agreed to take us to the hotel without waiting for the last passengers to come which was a nice attention. Check-in was fast and efficient. The room was very spacious - so was the bathroom - clean and comfortable. As we had to leave the hotel at 4:00 AM a breakfast box had been prepared to our attention. I definitely recommend Le Relais des Plateaux for a stay in Antananarivo, especially to those who have to remain in the vicinity of the airport.
