"First of all, let's talk about the view... it's truly breathtaking, front pretty much every room and every spot on the grounds. The location is really perfect to visit Cinque Terre by boat -- not too far from the marina at Bocca di Magra. Although it's not a brand new property, and the rooms (and especially the bathrooms) are small, the views and the grounds really make up for it. ... and then there's the staff. Everybody we met was absolutely outstanding and went above and beyond the call of duty. In particular, Claudia helped us book two amazing tours that I would not have found without her. And Serena found and shipped back to me the sunglasses I distractingly left behind -- something no other hotel I have stayed in would have done so kindly. One important note: the parking lot (where you park and/or get dropped off) is unmarked and is NOT within walking distance of the actual hotel, so please make sure you call them when you get to Montemarcello so they can point you to the parking and come and pick you up in one of their electric vehicles. All in all: highly recommended, should definitely be part of your bucket list."
"Beautiful hotel on the cliff of Montemarcello, with breathtaking views over Golfo dei Poeti. We were greeted at the parking by a charming man (who was the "working" owner ;-) ) and transported to the hotel with an electric mini-car. Rooms are large and bright. Beds are excellent and bathroom not large but well-appointed. Staff is extremely friendly and knowledgable. Breakfast is excellent on the terrace overlooking the Golfo. Diner was due to low season only a sort of snacks and bites, but well presented and with excellent price/quality. Again the "working owner" was helpful at presenting some good italian wines. The hotel is quite expensive; but that's the case for all hotels in the region. But it's a special place and for us a memorable stay."
"My wife and I drove here and stayed for 3 nights in Sept 2018. We relaxed the day we arrived, had a spa day and toured cinque terre on another day. Cinque Terre gets Disneyland level crowded - but still worth seeing especially by traveling via boat. So staying at a quite place with beautiful views was very much appreciated. We had breakfast and dinner here all three days and the restaurant food, service and views were highlights of our two week trip."
