The service is excellent. The breakfast is delicious. The scenery is extremely beautiful. It should be the best-decorated hotel in Osaka. The service attitude is enthusiastic. It is just too troublesome for minors to check in alone.

Really incredible. Highest quality, very comfortable. Breakfast buffet selection was incredible. The city view from our room and from the lobby is worth the fee in itself.

We stayed for 5 nights at Mimaru Shinsaibashi East - it was the largest hotel room we’ve ever been in Japan. The rooms were clean, tasteful, and they thought of everything - I especially loved that you could rent items like an Apple TV, UNO cards etc. They also gave you coins to redeem for little things like sake tastings and snacks which was very fun. The hotel is centrally located and surrounded by eateries, convenience stores and it’s around the corner from a 24hour supermarket - it’s a really great option for a family. It is a short 5 minute walk from the main Shinsaibashi shopping strip, and 10 minutes to the Glico man. I would definitely try to stay here again when I come back to Osaka!

Great location, walking distance to heart of the city. Rooms are nice and clean. Perfect for family with kids. Staffs are extremely friendly and helpful, helped me to call a cab many times. Kitchen are fully equipped with knife, cooking pan, sink, plates. silverware, microwave, frig and even dish soap. Highly recommended.

Stayed 2 nights at the Ritz Carlton earlier in the week during my first business trip to Japan after Covid. Must confess that was really impressed. Excellent service, great staff and in general hotel very well equipped. Room was spacious, clean, with a great bed allowing for very good night sleep, very good performing wifi, great bathroom very well equipped including a very nice set of salt for the bath. Definitely hotel gives a lot of attention to detail and you can see it during your stay. There was an air purifier in my room, which was a bit noisy, so I had to unplug it during the night. This didn't bother me at all, but maybe something to check by the hotel management. All in all, perfect stay. Will definitely return on my next trip to Osaka.

Just a great experience in every regard. Our room was high grade with a wonderful view of the city. Linen and furnishings are excellent. Staff couldn’t be nicer and more helpful. The gym is high grade and the pool is huge with a hot tub. There are three very, very good restaurants. Prices are up there but in this case you get what you pay for. And a special shout out to Simon Finch, relationship manager. He meet us at the door and while we waited for our room gave us a tour of the facility. He always seem to be there when we had a question or needed assistance. Because of our experience here together with Simon’s attention I’m officially switching allegiance from Hyatt to the Ritz.

We had such a warm welcome every time we entered the hotel. Such friendly staff. The room was clean and very comfortable for our family of five. Super close to Yotsubashi station and also easily accessible from the Midosuji line, if you are coming from the Shinkansen (which we were). There is a FamilyMart right next door and a supermarket and McDonald's around the corner. Also walking distance from the Dotonbori area. It was our first time staying at a Mimaru hotel, but based on our experience, we would definitely stay there again. Thank you.

The hotel was about 10mins walk from Shinsaibashi. The room was clean and quite spacious for Japanese standard. The hotel staff were helpful and polite, and very kind to children (which is great because it’s a family-friendly hotel). A few front desk staff were fluent in English.

We stayed in the Family Theatre Apartment for 4 nights... Room was large but not very clean and unfortunately, there was no daily housekeeping, only daily emptying of trash bins and replacement of towels (the hotel sent many email to remind us of it haha). Housekeeping is scbeduled once every 3 nights, however at check-in, we already spotted dust trapped between the walls and furniture, found a bedroom slipper stuck below the bed and stayed there throughout our stay even after the housekeeping on our 4th day. There was no luggage stand so we placed them on the floor, lots of cloth-hangers provided in the wardrobe, essential toiletries were available at the reception area, so were the coffee and tea sachets etc. Love the kitchen and proper fridge (with freezer) and all the necessary cooking utensils... The staff at the front desk were very friendly and helpful, we were referred to a folder comprising all the recommended places to go and places to eat - not all restaurants were really great though. Location was good... Family Mart is nearby, Orange Street is just opposite, 15 minutes walk to Dontonburi, Shinsaibashi and Namba Station. There are a few big public carparks nearby too. Wish the housekeeping could be improved p.s. the chambermaid isn't friendly and doesn't greet anyone - this is unusual in the Japanese culture.

We stayed with 4 family members. I was able to spend my trip to Osaka comfortably. [Good points] 1. I wanted to go to Ame Village, so it was very close and comfortable. 2. There was a table for 4 people to sit down and I was able to take out and enjoy eating. 3. 3. The bath and toilet were separate and the bath was large and comfortable. 4. Wi-Fi was also comfortable. (Sometimes the speed is slow at other hotels and cannot be used) 5. The room was clean. 6. I parked my car in the affiliated parking lot, so I got a parking ticket for 1,000 yen. 7. I was able to use the Osaka Welcome Campaign. [I was at a loss] 1. I was in trouble because I didn't have my pajamas in the room, but I rented it at the front desk. (Free) There is nothing wrong with it! It is confirmed to repeat! !!

We stayed from 10-17 March 2023 in the Theater room with bunk beds. The baby crib was already in our room when we checked in (great for containing the 1 year old while we unpacked) and the room was clean and spacious which made our stay very comfortable. Location was very close to a subway station and getting to the airport was very straight-forward (just needed to change trains once.) There was enough room for my 1 year old to run around, Family Mart & Lawson within 1 min walking distance, great for getting the next day's breakfast too! On weekdays, there will be a food truck parked outside the hotel selling coffee and crepes/hotdogs. Unfortunately we did not purchase from the food truck though the menu looks enticing. Front desk closes from 10pm-7am, so take note to those who have to check in between those timings. Toiletries are provided at the lobby area and soap in the room's VERY SPACIOUS bathroom. There was also a humidifier in the bedroom so it made my flu more bearable too. We also want to take this time to compliment Ms Nagumi & Mr Devon Wanzu from Front Desk. My husband sustained an eye injury (15 mins after checking in) when our luggage buckle snapped and hit his eye. Ms Nagumi came all the way from the hotel to the eye clinic to do translation (she stayed with us for 3 hours) & Mr Devon Wanzu accompanied my husband to the emergency hospital and actually stayed with him until 2am. We will forever be grateful for both of them and made our very stressful ordeal less so.

Alert to the guests who would arrive late night. The front desk is not 24-hours!!!!! I and my friends reserved for the accommodation between 7 Jan and 9 Jan while I am the only person who would check in on 8 Jan. In the reservation, all guests with our name were stated clearly and my friends told the front desk that I would check-in in the evening on 8 Jan during their check in. They also reminded the front desk once again in the afternoon of 8 Jan. However, the nightmare came when I arrived. Due to the flight delayed, I arrived the hotel at 1am on 9 Jan. I understood the entrance was closed after midnight so I pressed the the bell. Mr Ueda came out after my second press which was almost 5 mins for me to stand at the entrance. I expressed that I would like to check in but he was questioning on me and said “NO CHECK IN”. He did not check anything and did not ask my passport for checking in the system. I believe my name was in the reservation. He emphasised more than once that there was NO CHECK IN. It showed his unprofessionalism. He was so rude, impolite and felt annoying at that moment. He finally realised that I was the guest until my friend came to the lobby picking me up. The hardware of the hotel is good. The room is clean and well-equipped. One the contrary, the software is ridiculous . The staff was not professional and well -trained. Mr Ueda even could not speak a basic English. If you can speak Japanese well and check-in at the daytime, this hotel would be a great choice. Otherwise, it would not a good recommendation.

My family has a good experience with the service and location. It's unfortunate that they're planning to remove the in-room washing machine, which could be a drawback for future stays. Hopefully, they consider replacing it with an alternative amenity.

Staff was kind to give me a corner room. Great view. Location convenient yet quiet. Price includes breakfast and the right to use the gym, swimming pool, hot bath and steam room. Money well spent.

Reviews From Real Travelers
Concierge: We emailed the hotel weeks in advance of our stay to assist with bookings. Weeks would pass before they would respond, and multiple follow up emails were required to get a response. They did successfully book one 3 Michelin star restaurant to which we owe them significant credit. However, when we arrived and asked basic requests such as where to find restaurants or stores, the concierge was usually very short and had no suggestions. We were better off consulting Google maps. And this for a 5 star concierge service? In addition, the English skills of many of the concierge staff were extremely limited. While I know some Japanese, it should not be required at a hotel of this calibre. In fact, when visiting Japan, a 5 star hotel should have fluent English speakers for most front facing staff. Hotel Condition: The hotel has significant and noticeable wear and tear. We were in a Grand Deluxe Suite and when I arrived, a man was literally gluing on a piece of the door that had torn off. The woodwork throughout the suite was heavily scratched and dented including tables. The carpet was worn thin, and the sofa's velvet exterior was worn. In any event, for a hotel suite whose copay was $500+ per night, this was disappointing. Check out Process: The check out process was extremely troubling and disappointing. We asked for a Butler to assist with bags multiple times, and even after 45 minutes they did not come up to our room to collect our bags. This resulted in us having to drag our bags down to the lobby ourselves, as we were rushing for a Shinkansen train. Normally, this would have been fine, but we had a lot of luggage. The significantly wait time for luggage assistance is not characteristic of a St. Regis. Hidden Taxes and No Final Folio Provided: The hotel has some hidden taxes associated with rooms that have copays for upgrades. While we expected to pay 50,000 yen per night + about 37,000 yen in total taxes (about 5600 yen per night in tax), we did not expect too many additional taxes. Yet there was another 6500 or so taxes per night in taxes we were assessed. Even after numerous attempts, the hotel never sent a final folio nor explained the charges which is all I asked. General Impressions: The hotel seems poorly managed with a ”choatic” vibe in which there is not only no personalized guests are vying for the attention for concierge staff who are stretched too thin with minimal English skills. While I understand this is a busy time for the hotel, the hotel should not be having any difficulty meeting basic demands of elite members even when they are at capacity. The hotel felt more like a 3-4 star hotel than a St. Regis. Among St. Regis hotels, this one was a major disappointment.

We stayed for one night at the St Regis Osaka for my husband’s 60th birthday and were treated like royalty! We were even upgraded to the 2000 sf Royal Suite which was, without a doubt, the most luxurious and beautiful hotel accommodations we have ever had (see pictures!) The concierge was wonderful and helped me plan a small cake, champagne and towel art to be set up in our room for after dinner. My husband loved it! He also enjoyed the Shogun Bloody Mary. We have stayed at many St Regis hotels and he always likes to try the Bloody Mary unique to each location. I think this one is his new favorite! Thank you for a perfect stay and wonderful birthday celebration!!! PS - Also of note, the hotel is a short walk to the upscale shopping area.
