San Miguel, 28, Maro, Andalusia, Spain
"Excellent holiday, Nerja is marvellous. Hotel Playamaro very clean, very helpful staff, comfortable beds, lovely view, excellent aircon. Maro is a lovely village & we had a hire car to get into Nerja. Parking at Maro beach car park 100yards downhill ( nowhere near the beach!). However there was no fridge or kettle in the room & couldn't get Wifi to work in the annexe. Breakfast was rather limited - we bought a kettle for coffee in our room. The room was described as "promo" by "On the Beach" which didn't correspond with anything that the hotel published, so it was difficult to work out in advance what we had booked. Happy to return again."
"Fantastic views from our 2 balcony's, separate bedroom, breakfast either continental or bacon and scrambled eggs. Evening meal , not much choice as we had paid half board , but lovely.Outside tables if you want to eat outside. Good location for the caves. Town a 10 euro ride away or you can walk. Nerja is beautiful and lively with loads of shops and places to eat. I would recommend both hotel and location."
"We have stayed here twice both times out of season. Accomodation is basic but adequate and clean. Value for money and food very good. Rates seem on high side for main season but if you are looking for a good deal out of season and want a quiet hotel in a small village away from Nerja would recommend this one. Maro is quiet place and pleasant enough despite the local habit of turning the dogs out and letting them mess so tourists can tread in it. Bizarre lack of consideration. Apart from that no problems."

Almuñecar, 8, Nerja, Andalusia, Spain
"I originally booked another hotel on the booking, but I forgot to forget it. As a result, I booked this hotel more. I couldn't cancel the booking with Ctrip. I can only continue to live. According to the hotel's definition of children, two children are allowed to stay together. Yes, but at the front desk of the hotel, the front desk said that it can only accommodate 2 adults. Fortunately, Ctrip's customer service responded promptly and communicated with the hotel immediately. The result was a room that did not see the sea at all. This point was bad. The hotel has Elevator card can go to the beach, breakfast because children need to pay extra, parking is 14 euros"
"The breakfast is of good quality and the variety is small. The service is very good, but the facilities are old. The bed with a baby is a bit small, and the parking lot is quite big, 14 euros a night. The location of the hotel is fantastic, it is best to lie on the lawn to basking in the sun, in addition to the elevator to the beach, praise!"
"A bit of a hotel feeling, the beaches of Nerja are not like the beaches of tropical islands, the sand is still relatively thick. And the beach is full of people, a bit like a domestic beach. A little disappointed"

Paseo Balcón de Europa, s/n, Nerja, Andalusia, Spain
"We had a fabulous room with a terrace and sun loungers looking over the pool and out to sea, the scenery was amazing. The Hotel is right in the middle of the Balcon de Europa and attached to a lovely bar with views of the ocean that are out of this world. The staff were very friendly, the room had a little kitchenette, which was great, the room was very clean and beds very comfortable. You couldn’t ask for more!"

Calle Loma De La Cruz s/n, Frigiliana, Andalusia, Spain
"Lovely, small boutique hotel set on the side of the hill with amazing views to Nerja and the sea. We had a lovely welcome from Maria, who speaks excellent English, and is very engaging. We had a double room with a terrace, a lovely, big and comfortable bed and wonderful views. The pool is stunning and is also a great place to enjoy the view. Breakfast was very good, lots of choice and not too early. There are restaurants within walking distance if you want to eat out. A car is a necessity! We did have some difficulty finding the Hotel as Google Maps took us down some very tiny roads that were obviously not the right way. Had I followed the instructions that the Hotel sent we would have been fine. It is well worth emailing the Hotel and asking Maria for directions. Very quiet place within ten minutes of the bustle of Nerja and we had a very enjoyable stay."
"This is a lovely Posada accommodation 15 minutes walk outside the village of Frilliliana and off the beaten track so very quiet which suits us. Lots of couples there for the weekend as bank holiday in Spain and everything closed. View of town and valleys below to die for. Driving or taxi needed to locate but worth it. We walked to the village returning for dinner and had a beautiful meal - salmon for me risotto for my husband and both excellent. Wine by the glass €3. Lovely pool and space for relaxing. Lots of steps and hills in this area. "
"Rustic and absolutely charming! We really enjoyed our stay! La Posada Morisca is just a few minutes from the beautiful town of Frigiliana and about 22 minutes from Nerja. You will need a vehicle to get there. Hotel has parking, breakfast, and beautiful panoramic views of the town and coast. The pool area is nice too and friendly staff made us feel at home. "

Siroco, s/n, Nerja, Andalusia, Spain
"We booked hotel Al-andalus via a well known booking site. We arrived at the hotel around 9 p.m. following a long drive. Once we had booked in, we were taken for a short walk along a side street, adjacent to the hotel. When we arrived, it was clearly a small, basic apartment, rather than a hotel room, which we had booked. However, given it was quite late at night and we were tired, we decided to stay. My husband was in the shower when he asked me to look at what appeared to be black mould around the tiling. As he had already started to shower, I advised that he finish. I then inspected the shower and discovered black mould throughout the grouting of the tiles, along with cracked tiles. I rubbed the mould with my finger and it was easily removed. The drain of the shower was also covered in black mould. It was evident that the shower had not been clean for some considerable time. I then inspected the fridge and also discovered black, wet mould along the seal of the fridge. I informed a staff member and he came to look at the shower and fridge. He admitted that it was obvious these areas had not been cleaned. I requested another room. A few minutes later, he returned with a cleaner, carrying a bottle of bleach. I informed him that this was not good enough and we were not staying in the room. He said no other rooms were available. I then went to the reception to ask for a refund and that we were not staying at the hotel. The female staff member (quite likely the manager) blankly refused, stating that the shower had been used and the 'room' would have to be cleaned again! At this stage, I offered to pay a reasonable price for my husband using the shower. She refused and appeared disinterested! I informed her I would be complaining to the booking company. We left without any refund or apology. I have to state, that this is the worst hotel I have ever had the misfortune to visit. With so many hotels and other places to stay, in and around Nerja, I would give Andalus, a very 'wide berth'."
"We were recommended this hotel as a meeting point and managed to squeeze in a Menu Del Dia for lunch! The mixed salad was plentiful including the lovely fresh vibrant red local tomatoes. Main course was pretty good, chicken with garlic (we thought we would get grilled chicken breast - it didn't specify on the menu exactly what part of the chicken) in the end we were served chicken pieces (small thighs) the flavour was yummy, cooked with onions, red and green peppers and home made chips (definitely cooked in the meat juices and oils!) the bread came in handy to mop it all up! Dessert was nice; not too big - flan (which turned out to be like Creme Caramel and rice pudding! Drinks were not included, but still good value for money if you would like to fill up on an afternoon lunch! Nice setting with some pretty flower pots and views of the area. Worth a visit if you're hungry and in the area!"
"We only booked one night but decided to stay an extra night as they we very welcoming and the rooms very spacious and clean. It’s a good 30 / 40 minute walk to Nerja which we managed a few times. It’s along a main toad do not the most scenic. We ate breakfast in the hotel which was very cheap but a reasonable buffet and also because there are no other eateries near by except the cave restaurant. A bonus for us was that it offered free parking in the hotel. "

"We have stayed in a number of hotels and rental apartments in Nerja Luna de Nerja is a new addition and offers very comfortable and affordable rooms Centrally located it is perfect for couples for a week or less Cupboard space is a little Limited but otherwise rooms are very well equipped and spotlessly clean The owner/manager Nuttee was so helpful Overall an excellent place and great addition to Nerja's hotel options "
"We were a little apprehensive of staying in somewhere do central and small However the convenience of the location and cleanliness and quality of the Luna de Nerja more than made up for any misgivings In short the Hostal (misnomer if ever there was) offered everything we needed for our short stay The owner has an eye for quality furnishing Our bedroom was very comfortable Well worth returning and we will for sure"
