We decided to go to Vancouver for Christmas and new year 2023 with my family. the snow had made it extremely difficult to get to Vancouver from Atlanta Ga and to connect in Toronto. WestJet lost my wife's ticket and even though she held the ticket to the plane, they would not let her in. so we got separated. my wife found only one ticket the next day so she insisted that I go so we can be actually together on Christmas. I took all the luggage and my passport and headed on to Vancouver. after 9 hours, including a 3-hour delay on the runway, I arrived at the hotel at 3 am. I can't tell you how miserable I felt. I was sleep deprived, hungry, and emotional as I did not have my family on Christmas Eve and ETC. Nonetheless, I was happy to arrive at the hotel, so I can take a shower and order some food. I went to check in and showed my passport and it was all good until James asked for my credit card. I took my phone out to tap for accidentals since all my cards are on my apple pay. He said I have to have the actual card if I want to sleep there tonight. I told him we have fully paid through Expedia for 9 nights and my wife has the physical cards, but she'll be here in the morning. James said it was hotel policy and I can't even be on the property anymore. i asked to speak to the manager and he yelled at me ”I am the manager”. all of a sudden two security guys show up and I was speechless. these guys did not say a word. although I felt like they felt sorry for me. I could not believe how we got escalated this far. So after 10 minutes of trying to reason with James, he agreed to let me sleep on a two-person couch in the basement lobby. they had good couches in the main lobby. but he said I have to be under his supervision. at 6 am he woke me up and I have to get up as guests were arriving. I told him I was one of his guests and he said we'll see. The next day, the day manager said hello and heard what happened. That was literally it. they all moved on. So to be clear, we had paid in full to a Forbes 5-star hotel, and this hotel treated us like nobodies because i did not carry a physical card at the time. I understand you have policies, but whatever happened to customer service? How much damage can I do? you cant have a 25-year-old guy in a black suit run your customer service department who lacks simple principles of customer service and understands the grey in black and white policies. Honestly, this probably falls back on corporate's lack of training and lack of recruitment of top talent. I really hope that the brand manager reads this review and does something about it.

Regardless of service or location, the top three hotels in the urban area, if arranged for a room with a large balcony, it would be even more perfect.

This hotel could be so much better, especially for the price. On the positive side, the staff, including the concierge, Lisa, and the whole crew on the G floor are outstanding - the most friendly and helpful people. My suite was comfortable and quiet. The king size bed was firm. The air conditioner works well. The bathroom is big. The hotel location is good, near museums and Yaletown, with restaurants and boutiques nearby. The gym and the pool area are also good and, not many hotels in the city have an outdoor pool. The negatives are the extreme neglect regarding renovation and cleaning. For example, with COVID still an issue, after I checked in and stayed the first night in the hotel, I found an empty bottle of water behind the sofa and an used and dirty shirt near the bed. I did not noticed it immediately, because I arrived at 2 am and went straight to bed. To get my room cleaned daily was an ordeal. The hotel apologizes for being understaffed, but the prices were high, around CAD $5.500 for a week’s stay. If you cannot deliver the service, you should not be charging for it, The carpets and the curtains look old, dirty and shabby in the room and common areas. But by far the worse things about the Hilton Vancouver are the elevators. It is not unusual to wait 15 minutes, I am not exaggerating, to go from your floor to the lobby. I understand there is a shortage of workers in Vancouver, but some of the disappointing features of the Hilton could, in my opinion, be addressed by management that cares and is committed to providing guests with what they deserve based on their rates.

Yes, this hotel is expensive, but so is everything right at this moment in time. If its within your budget, you will enjoy your stay here. Despite the universal shortage of staff plaguing the service industry in Canada and the U,S., the staff at this Hilton couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. This includes he excellent onsite restaurant for breakfast, drinks and dinner. The staff there was outstanding. This hotel has underground parking with self parking in and out privileges at a cost per day. Valet is more. Our suite was well designed and the hotel location cannot be beat. We will not hesitate to make this our hotel during our return visit.

There is no restaurant, breakfast can only be eaten in the room, parking is expensive and you have to pay for it yourself.

Small boutique hotel with few rooms. The hotel location is good and quiet. Hotel service is good, chocolate and water will be delivered at night. The toiletries are a sample of L'Occitane and the replenishment is timely. The only downside is that breakfast is the same every day, but the waiters are very kind. Especially a staff member named Dom who was very good to us!

Great staff, super friendly and welcoming. Greeted with 3 front desk staff, very accommodating and parking was easy. The hotel is very clean, the rooms were super tidy and we were happy with the ambiance of the hotel. Breakfast was fresh, fruit and French toast. Loved the Lotions and shampoos. I give the hotel a 5***** star overall!

The location of the hotel is very core, next to the trump building. The hotel service is very good, with luggage, the front desk is very warm, and also introduced us to Vancouver's play places and food. After communicating with the front desk, I also changed the room with a bathtub. The overall evaluation was very good. The room was very clean. The only thing that is not very good is that the hotel can only be valet parking, 45 knives after tax, others are good.

Hotel location is good, one step away from shopping and restaurants in the city center, less than half an hour to the airport. The room is new and the bathroom is very large. The service attitude is first-class, from the front desk to the cleaning to the concierge are very polite, will stay here next time.

The location is great, located right next to Stanley Park!
I paid an additional amount and upgraded to harbor view.
If the weather is nice, be sure to choose a room with a view!
It’s worth the extra money!
The default is wall view.
But is it because I expected too much from the service?
I requested a repayment from the restaurant due to the use of a coupon.
He said he couldn't do it because the bill had already been closed and that it was the manager's decision.
In this regard, guidance was very insufficient.
Other than that, I am satisfied!

It’s a bit old and more like a resort,,, not hotel,, but the location and outside view are the best!!!! Staffs are nice, too!!! Gonna come back again. See the outside view of the hotel!

We stayed for 3 nights on our last leg of our Canada trip. Me and my partner and 21 year old son. The hotel was busy as it fell on Canada day weekend. We were on the 9th floor and the view was of building works opposite but it was quiet. We added an extra night and reception were very accommodating and even arriving early they allowed us to check in and dump our bags in the room. The pool is small but nice. We had it to ourselves. Shame no hot tub though that would of been a nice addition. Hotel is very close to the sky train to get to the airport and saved us getting taxis as it was very easy journey. Nice location on Howe street for the port and shopping. I would go again

In the city center, it is convenient to go to Canada Place, Gas Town, etc., and there are a lot of delicious food around. For public transportation, you can go to the subway station to buy a one-day bus pass, and you can go anywhere. To Suspension Bridge Park, you can take the park's free bus, which starts at Canada Square.
