The Fasano is truly the personification of a luxury hotel. The centrally located property is a magnificent structure to begin with. All areas are elegantly but not too formally appointed with an air of casual sophistication. The roof top pool and bar area is breathtaking by day and enchanting by night and the adjacent spa small but top notch. My room, a junior suite was large by any standard. It accommodated a beautifully appointed siting, work and sleeping areas and had an exquisite bathroom. The hard wood floor was gorgeous and the bed, linens and amenities top quality. The lighting was subdued and easily controllable. My only complaint was the water temperature at the shower was only cool. I loved the chic staff uniforms and the personnel were effervescent. I only ate breakfast in the restaurant but the buffet was scrumptious. The coffee was remarkable. I thought it a bit odd that you had request smoked salmon rather than have it placed on the buffet. Overall the Fasano fits the bill as a world class luxury Hotel that I highly recssommend.

Centrally located with breathtaking views over Salvador bay, I would highly recommend this hotel, in my opinion the best in the Fasano group. Greatly appreciated the amazing, friendly staff. Special mentions for Gabrielly at the front desk, and the two concierges, Christine and Matheus. They were welcoming, efficient and always available when needed. Rooftop pool and bar are perfect to chill out at the end of the afternoon for a gorgeous sunset.

The room I booked includes breakfast. After eating, let me sign the room number and I signed it. Later, the front desk charged me for breakfast. It said that it was and the sign was not paid. The bed was a bit too soft and uncomfortable to sleep.

The most charming boutique hotel in the heart of Pelourinho! Both the room and bathroom were beautiful and spacious, with a mini fridge, safe (although ours was broken) and large cupboard. The rooms are named after Portuguese explorers rather than the more common room numbers, which was very fitting for the colonial style interiors of the hotel. Staff were so welcoming and very friendly. Breakfast is served at your table - tick sheet menu - and includes various cereals, drinks, bread, cakes as well as Bahian specialties. There is a small plunge pool, which we didn’t get a chance to use. We couldn’t have asked for a better location; we were able to walk through the historic centre, with both the funicular and elevator serving the lower city close by. Lots of eateries and fantastic musical entertainment right outside the hotel - music stops around 10-10.30pm. It is a short walk across the cobblestones to the main Pelourinho square, which pays homage to Michael Jackson who shot a music video there. A (steepish) walk past the church takes you to the rainbow street of San Antonio, with plenty more restaurant/bar options. Would absolutely stay here again. Highly recommended!

This was one of the highlights of my trip! Such a lovely hotel, I stayed there at the beginning and end of my trip in Salvador. It is the perfect boutique hotel in the heart of Pelourinho in Salvador. It is right next door to the Sao Francisco church and a short walk to some of the highlights of Salvador and Pelourinho. The hotel is in the colonial style, with unique rooms each named after a different Portuguese colony. The hotel had beautiful artifacts and touches in each room, making you feel like you're staying at a friend's home in Salvador. I was there in October, which made for very lovely weather during the day and in the evening. There were some tourists, but it wasn't too crowded. A lovely breakfast each morning with items unique to Bahia. Highly, highly recommend. Ana, Javier and all of the staff were super welcoming and helpful, even arranging a ride from the airport for me. I was working remotely from the hotel, and it provided a great, calm space for meetings. There is a small, cute pool in the courtyard as well.

This hotel is a fantastic place with a great staff. They have adapted to the constraints of the pandemic and provide excellent customer service and a wide range of amenities. Every morning at breakfast I was greeted by the dining room manager, Jaciara, who is incredibly professional. The staff in the dining area go above and beyond. Cassia is one of the best in the dining room and seems to know what someone needs before they do. The location is close to many attractions but far enough away to get a good night's sleep. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The property is spotless. My one and only critique is that the smart TV's in the room do not connect to the internet. Watching Netflix on my laptop is the worst thing that happened, and that was really no big deal. Overall the place is amazing!

We stayed here two different times while we were in Salvador. I have nothing but positive things to say about it- especially the staff. The breakfast buffet is plentiful and excellent and the location is central. The rooms are dark and quiet with comfortable beds . The shower is hot and has good water pressure. Aila at the front desk was so wonderful. She recommended things and helped us book some things in Portuguese that we didn’t understand . We are grateful for her patience , good attitude and wonderful English ! My husband left his wallet in our room and not only was it returned to us, it had all the cash and contents still in it. They are trustworthy with the guests experience in mind. Highly recommended staying here while in Bahia!

For the British amongst you .. think travel lodge / premier inn and that what this is . It’s basic , and old basic . We had the top floor sea-view room . It’s basic . Just a sheet on the bed a small old chair and tiny table . No tea or coffee making ( probably because of Covid ). A weird layout in the room I think to try to accommodate the view Travel lodge style wardrobe and shelving . If you are looking for a lovely romantic break I do not recommend this place . All that said it’s a nice location by the sea with a beach. ( no beds) The pool is small but nice . Again a bit 3 star . The staff are all excellent I can speak Portuguese so I’m not sure about how well they cater if you can’t speak Portuguese. This is not where the historical attractions of Salvador are , for that you need to take a bus or a taxi . There are lots of places to eat or drink in the evening nearby so you isn’t need to go anywhere at night if you don’t want to . The breakfast was ok . Again think travel lodge . All self service . No English tea . Personally I world definitely not stay here again or recommend it , but it depends on what you are expecting. If you are a foreigner visiting Salvador .. I would say stay in the central area in a small pousada.. do 2 nights , see the sights then go to a proper beach resort. They are about 50k away . This place is not one thing or the other .

i have stayed here several times and always have a good feeling. the rooms are clean, bright and with a sea view. the area is safe and has many options for eating out. in the hotel the breakfast is great, abudant and efficient. the pool area is spectacular but needs more shade both from the sun and from the rain with the frequent showers that salvador has. a problem i had was quickly solved ny heltor the manager. thank you.

This hotel is simple but it has everything you need. The pool is great and the internet connection by the pool works better than the rooms. It is located near restaurants, bars, groceries stores, and pharmacies. Breakfast could improve. I wish they had more local tropical fruits. However, breakfast is simple but well served. Located just steps from the beach, which is calm and not lots of waves. Good for kids.

Excellent location near everything, but the room service is very bad, it is only that past bed and bed-removing, we stayed 8 days the bed linen was only exchanged because it was requested at the reception 3 times, the towels they exchange at least every two days was said, in fact they exchanged at every 4 days and when they collected they did not leave the new. Our room had no phone call we asked from the first day to the last day to put and nothing, TV takes bad without sign. breakfast OK. The only wonder is the location of the rest I don't indicate. It is much more worth paying a higher value and staying in something more dignified.

Wonderful clean new hotel with great service. The breakfast is delicious with a large variety of food. The swimming pool is very nice and the hotel grounds are massive and well kept. There are several friendly iguanas crawling around and even a couple of cats.

It is good to see this traditional point in Salvador refurbished and offering a good experience to the guest. It is an amazing area with a comfortable and functional envieronment. I am positively surprised with my stay there.

The hotel stopped in time, I was there a few years ago and I stayed in a very good room, great bed, airy, this time it was a little frustrating, the room q I left to desire, the furniture q they call guards clothes or something like, they are c old wood smell, the table, chairs and the comfort near the bed tbm are requesting for upgrade, the air conditioning still eh wall, an unsupportable noise and the smell was not very good .... As a positive point in the large mirrors rooms and the bathroom had no problems, although the bath area is small ...... and my girlfriend was happy c the quality of the cover ..... The tbm fridgebar deserves to be exchanged, but it works ... The pool and pool area are abandoned, I prefer and a walk on the beach, the deception pq q would stay relaxing in the hotel pool, but without conditions, vc does not feel the least willing to stay in the pool area .... Morning breakfast eh only acceptable......

We went to friends to curt Salvador, as soon as we went up pro room we already faced the super dirty corridor, with a sticked floor look like dry lama. When we entered the room we were already strange because the joke was out of the bathroom, which is not practical, when we lifted the bed linen was full of hair, it seemed not to have been exchanged. We asked for a room exchange at the reception and they took care of us (the only positive point are the sympathetic staff) and exchanged our room, it was less worse, the shower even with the closed box the water went out, The energy fell about 2x and then missed at once, the channels were not picking up TV. On the next day at the morning breakfast we arrived at 9:00 and had almost nothing, we asked about the repas and they would not rest because they said the coffee was finished at 9:30 and we were informed that it would go to 10:00: The girl told me they don't work with cheese, people, the basics of a breakfast. The lift was not working at some time, and the garden of the room that doesn't cover the whole window, as the sun came up the room is clear, I do not recommend, bad experience.
