An der Alster 72-79, Hamburg, Germany
"Waited 20 minutes for the luggage to arrive in the room, queued for 30 minutes with other guests, all missing their appointments, to get a seat for breakfast, ordered breakfast items, reminded 2 different staff, and haven’t received items even after 45 minutes, asked to talk to hotel manager, who wasn’t in the house, was made to wait another 20 minutes for a line manager to talk to me in a rather arrogant fashion, key card to the room wasn’t working, at check out it took equally long to receive the luggage while the staff was busy with internal Christmas card writings, with another talked-down farewell. Having stayed at the hotel several times, this is the first time this has happened. But the attitude is not acceptable even at a 1-star hostel. A discount of 25% was given (with the comment: “if that is what you can live with”."
"The hotel is located on the shore of Lake Astor, a few minutes walk from the main train station. The hotel's exterior is magnificent and the interior facilities are very tasteful. The service cannot be compared with the domestic five-star hotel, but it is not bad in Germany. The room is very spacious, there is a double sofa with a coffee table, the bathroom is dry and wet, and the soundproofing is very good. Breakfast is not rich, but the quality is very good, especially the freshly squeezed orange juice, very delicious."
"The old hotel is on the edge of Alster Lake, the location of the 2015 007 ~ to the city center is convenient to walk! Hotel service is still very good, although the hardware facilities are still very good! The taxi driver at the entrance of the hotel is also super pole nett! It’s a bit unpleasant because of the deposit when I left the store, but the attitude is still very polite and I think about it! It is also close to the train station and does not need to take a taxi for five minutes."
