"The Anchor In is a favorite of ours on the Cape! The location is perfect for watching the harbor activity. Plenty of shops and restaurants are within minutes of the property. The bedding was exceptionally comfortable and the continental breakfast was very nice, and relaxing with some tables overlooking the harbor. Also, the staff is very friendly! You will not be disappointed if you stay here!"
"Wonderful family run business. Rooms were very tastefully decorated and very homely. Everything you need was available apart from a kettle of your from the UK for your cups of tea. However a short walk to the breakfast area was all facilities for drinks. WiFi good, parking and perfect location to be by the sea but also a short walk into the Main Street! "
"This hotel offered friendly helpful service, the rooms were spotless and comfortable. My wife and I had a restful and relaxing get away and look forward to our next visit. From the initial phone call through check out we were treated in a kind professional and friendly manner. Highly recommend the Anchor-in "

"Nice and quiet. Owner is very pleasant. It's a "no frills" motel but that is why it's such a great rate. It's clean, cozy and perfect for a Cape getaway. Bed is comphy and shower hot. It's a safe & clean place to lay your head. I travel weekly for business and these budget chains are doing better to earn clients than the "big dogs". I'd choose this Knights over my last $199 Marriott stay. Why? because at the end of the day it's all about laying your head down for a night and that's it. The bed and pillow at Knights was just as good as the Marriott. The Shower too. Heck is was even quieter. No pool but you're on Cape Cod surrounded by water folks... It doesn't deserve minus stars for that. I really think a lot of you are too hotel spoiled. For $56 a night you're not going to find to many places with eggs, waffles, big screen tvs, workout centers and hot tubs like most of you rant about. But if you're lucky enough to find a clean, safe room that doesn't leave your body itching after your stay for less than $65 now a days you should NOT be whining. There's a fire pit over the filled in pool which is cool. Use it with your family & friends and enjoy some laughs, stories or the stars above. Pools are over rated. It's off the hustle & bustle of Hyannis which is great considering the traffic headaches this area offers. I'll be back for business & time off. ++ little things that could improve. Removal of webs and dust on exterior of rooms. Perhaps a good pressure washing. Repaint of parking lines & numbers. Remove some of the clutter in the rooms. My room was great but had 4 night stands and a 2 chairs. Suggestion, print-out a tv channel lineup as most folks will not know (also offer the HBO package or similar - Comcast will give you a professional savings rate) *My only gripe is that I understand why your group everyone into one side so that it's easier to clean the next day but if a guest specifically asks for a room with little to no neighbors if possible and you state that it is "the weekend" but there is a whole side of the motel not in use you may want to try and do that for him.... After a 14 hour drive a night with less doors opening/closing & AC running all night would have been nice. My only complaint but still very accommodating host."
"This motel was clean, safe, and the owners were so kind and fun to get to know. The location is near everything, 10 mins from downtown Hyannis and less than 10 from beaches. When we needed more soap, Tp, etc., the owners got us them right away. I felt safe there, which is the first motel I can say that with. I can't say enough good things about the owners, truly personable and really kind to us. First motel I would come back to, and I hope I do next year!"
"Stayed @ the Knights Inn for 1 night this past weekend. The Inn is located a few minutes off of the Rte 6 Hyannis exit and easy to get to. Was warmly greeted and made to feel welcome and comfortable immediately during the very easy check-in. The room had a Queen sized bed, Mini-Fridge, Cable TV and a good sized bathroom. Heat came from a wall mounted Heat-Pump which was a bit noisy during the night. Parking is a bit tight and it could be difficult if trying to park a large vehicle. There was a continental breakfast included consisting of Coffee, Pastries, Cereal and Fresh Fruit. The staff were all very pleasant and cordial. Would Happily stay @ the Knights Inn, Osterville again."

"I agree with the last review. I honestly want to give it zero starts but that’s not possible. First of all at most I would say it’s a low end motel, not hotel and suites. I arrived on August 17th for a three night stay, my expectations weren’t too high based on the mixed reviews that I read but based on the 475.00 per night price for balcony courtyard pool view which should really be called parking lot view since that’s exactly what it was I was hoping that the reviews ware exaggerated, they surely weren’t. I am not one to really write reviews but I had to. When we arrived our room was ready which was great so I thought. We were given room 108, when I opened the door and walked i. I was totally turned off by the terrible smell in the room, next I see a wall full of bugs which were coming in from a gap in the door, I immediately asked to be moved to another room which they did. Now they move me to the 2nd floor to a loft room which was a better room but was still smelly and dirty. The little balcony was disgusting, you were afraid to sit on the chairs in the balcony cause I was afraid I would fall, cheap junk. I didn’t sleep all night, my experience was terrible. I must say I always stay at nice hotels and don’t mind spending $500 a night but this was a disgrace. The reason I chose this location was to be on the beach which was the worst beach I have ever seen. I understand that they don’t put the seaweed there but they could try to clean up and groom the sand, it was horrible. They didn’t even have many Beach chairs. The pool was also so small, online they make everything look so nice, their pictures are so deceiving. I woke up the next morning and told them I needed to check out, they said I could stay at their sister hotel in Hyannis which I did. A better hotel with lots of restaurants around a much nicer pool. The resort could be updated and cleaner but for $220 a night it was fine. I wish they would have had a room available in the new tower it was very nice. Great location right across the street from the harbor, nice little cafe with great coffee across the street. What I realized is that both hotels are poorly managed, doesn’t seem like anyone really cares. I definitely expected more being in Cape Cod. Next time I will stay in Chatham, great town and beautiful Hotels. All I can say to people is do your research and don’t stay at this dump."
"My husband and I were a little concerned going after reading the reviews. I have to say that we all enjoyed our stay. My younger son loved the loft space- his own bed, tv and balcony. We didn’t have any problems during our stay. The room was clean, etc. The location was great, too! We would definitely go back!"
"We just stayed at the Oceanmist over Labor Day weekend. We had booked a “Loft Suite Two Queens with Sleeper Sofa Ocean View” category room. We paid a good amount of money for a parking lot view as you can see in the picture. If you looked to the left you could see the ocean but to me, this should be considered a partial ocean view. When I expressed my disappointment to the Manager, she did not feel my Parking lot view room was labeled incorrectly. Don’t waste your money. Property is ok but don’t bother upgrading your room and paying the extra cost. I am completely disappointed considering the amount of money I just dropped..."

"We have been here several times and have enjoyed it. We also enjoyed this trip but there were a few issues that bothered me this trip. We were early arriving , so we were told that we could go to the water park and we would be called or texted when our room was ready. I never got the text. When I went back to the desk, I was told that our room had been ready for a while and he didn't know why we weren't notified. That was a bit annoying as we could have been in our room earlier. The second issue was the amount of chlorine used in the water park. I totally get that they have to use extra chlorine due to the amount of people using the water park. But from the minute we walked into the park, our eyes watered and it ma de the whole experience unpleasant. We definately spent less time in the waterpark than we usually would due to that. It may even be something that keeps us from coming back in the future. Definately more ventilation is needed, on both sides but most definately on the "older" side. We had never been there on a weekend before so we were not suprised that is was crowded. But not so crowded that we couldn't find tubes for the lazy river or go down the slides. "
"We went for the first time recently and we were not disappointed! Everything was so much fun and the kids were very happy. We really loved both the indoor and outdoor pools, how the water changes colors with the lights, the arcade (the woman who was working both days was an absolute gem!), and the Hearth and Kettle restaurant (the cranberry pancakes were AMAZING!). The rooms were clean and the staff was friendly. We had nothing but an all around great time! We will definitely be planning a return trip! "
"I had a great time. The rooms were nice and big and clean. The staff members were always friendly in the hotel and at the eating areas and the staff by the pool area were also very nice. The food was good and also nice area to go later in the day and relax for drinks. I love the arcades for the kids when the weather outside i not good and the different activities for the kids through out the day is awesome."

"My wife and I spent four nights at the the Red Jacket Beach Resort just recently. A well needed getaway during this pandemic. Initially we were somewhat apprehensive about travelling. In the end we were glad we did. We were fortunate to be upgraded to an oceanfront room 267, Thank you Hollie. We had visited the property a few times in the past with great experiences. This visit was no different. The room was exceptionally clean. The views spectacular. It was apparent that extra measures and precautions were taken with the guests health in mind. Hand sanitizer dispensers were visible throughout the resort. I observed staff members disinfecting common areas at various times. All staff members were masked at all times throughout our stay. The resort had discontinued daily housekeeping cleaning, We were certainly fine with that. Any request for extra towels or supplies were met in a timely manner. The grounds as always were pristine. It was nice to see Patrick the groundskeeper who I have spoken with during our previous visits over the years. He thanked us for visiting and as always offered dining suggestions in the area. My wife and I had considered spending another night at the property. We would have but we missed our grandchildren too much. lol. There is nothing that I can say that we didn't like about our stay. We always look forward to visiting the Cape. When we do there is no other place that we would consider. Thank you to everyone at Red Jacket that made our stay a memorable and enjoyable one. Look forward to returning."
"My wife and I celebrated our wedding anniversary and enjoyed a two-day stay at the spectacular Red Jacket Inn on the Cape. Given the times,It must be said that the resort and staff strictly adhere to all protocols related to Covid/19. And at no time did we feel uncomfortable as a guest. During our stay, we were fortunate to occupy an ocean front room with balcony and were able to enjoy the sound and magnificent views of the ocean. Although we had great weather, the indoor pool is always available in the event of rain. With the weather still relatively mild, very comfy lounge chairs are available after a walk on the white sandy beach. The restaurant offers takeout and food orders are turned around very quickly. Should you want to venture out, Hyannis is a quick drive and offers a multitude of shops and restaurants to visit. We will look forward to returning to this great venue in the future."
"Spectacular location, facilities top notch with indoor/outdoor pools plus hot tub, in house restaurant and tavern. Wish there was a better fitness room with more equipment. Staff was cordial, friendly and attentive to guests' needs. The only problem was it was the last weekend the Resort was open for the season and that also happened to be the annual gathering of the Havard Business School somethingorother, needless to say the loud and obnoxious antics continued into the early moring...I guess to be expected from the wanttobe adults....could have been worst. Other than that a wonderful place to stay with a great beach, super staff and plenty to do."

"I want to share my recent experience at this hotel so you decide if it’s for you. My severely disabled adult daughter traveled with me. I requested an early check in since it’s Covid time and I was hoping to keep her out of public toilets when I change her diaper. After reading recent reviews, I realized it probably wouldn’t happen. We arrived around 1:30 and I asked if the room was ready could we check in? The manager was trying to oblige and got on the radio and told them to clean the room for us. ( Gave me a bad feeling knowing someone had been in the room right before us, my Covid paranoia setting in). I was told the room would be ready at 2:30, it wasn’t. This scene repeated itself a couple times and the room was finally ready at four. I want to back up and add when I went to the desk at 3 pm, like instructed. I expressed my concern that I couldn’t even get her in the building and had no place to change her diaper. ( there is a flight of stairs leading to the lobby). They gave me a parking placard to put on dashboard and told me where to park for the room. So we went there and waited, I changed her diaper on the back seat of the car. At four we got into the room and at this point I’m wondering just how clean is it?! I was happy with the room and the little “balcony outside “. One of my complaints is NO Shower curtain on the roll in shower. NONE. Even the cruise ships have a curtain along with a drain in the middle of the floor. What a mess, water everywhere. On the second day while enjoying the little balcony a Range Rover pulled up, the happy family got out with suitcases in hand. It wasn’t even noon!!! So my daughter and I walked down the street and around the front of the hotel so I could talk with the front desk. (There is no other way, except driving, to get from the accessible room 320 to the lobby, every path ends in stairs) . So that walk follows a road that leads to the front of the hotel. When we got to the lobby a different woman was at the desk. I voiced my complaints regarding the day before, indicating they don’t even have a way for her to enter the building, I have to leave her out front. The woman tells me “yes we have a elevator behind you that goes to the street and a bathroom down the hallway “ WOW! Would have been nice if one of the three people that were behind the desk the day before had told me!!!!!! You can’t see the elevator, it’s hidden nicely in a corner, which is good so kids don’t play with it. But you need to tell your wheelchair users ! The hotel was very convenient to the ferries and the JFK memorial park was down the road. The center of town we had to drive to (good luck finding wheelchair accessible street parking) most of the restaurants were downtown. I don’t know if there is any comparable hotel in the area with a roll in shower. Oh they use a temp agency for their cleaning, that’s probably why no one listened to the manager and cleaned the room."
"Recently a friend and I made a day trip to the island of Nantucket, Mass. and not wanting to drive back home to R.I. in the dark, we booked a night’s stay at the Hyannis Harbor Hotel conveniently located across from the HyLine ferry dock. It turned out to be a great decision. The hotel’s parking area is made safe by accessing with our hotel pass key and we were also able to park fairly close to our room. Both the bedroom and bathroom were clean, spacious and well lit. A fridge, coffeemaker, safe and iron were provided. Our biggest surprise were the hotel’s plush, cozy bathrobes awaiting us. The lobby with its fireplace and comfortable seating was perfect for relaxing and looking out to the harbor. Shanice, the concierge, was professional, polite and very helpful. Being women “of a certain age”, we don’t have fancy gadgets or apps so we asked Shanice if she would print out the directions for our drive home in the morning. She very kindly had the directions ready for us when we returned from dinner. I would not hesitate to recommend the Hyannis Harbor Hotel and would definitely book with them again."
"My husband and I have stayed at this hotel at least once a year, sometimes twice, especially since they built the year round building. We always book a suite when available. We were actually there in February, then went back Sept 7-11. We stayed in the premium suite and were very disappointed in the cleanliness of our room!! When we first walked in, we did not get that fresh, clean smell. It was like nobody had stayed in that room for a while, so they did not do much to clean it!! After the first night, we noticed the sheets did not have a fresh smell either, so I asked for new ones, and changed the bed myself. When I took the sheets off, there was a stain on the mattress pad!! There were handprints all over the inside of the slider in the living room, quite a bit of mold in the shower and stains on the rug in the bathroom! We told the clerk at the desk on the way out, she said she would pass that along. In these days of Covid, cleaning should be at a higher standard, not a lower one!! When I got home I wrote an email to the General Manager of this hotel, I still have not had an acknowledgement of that email!! I was very frustrated that I got no response at all , so after 10 days of not hearing back I sent an email to the Director of Operations at Newport Hotel Group, that owns this hotel. That was Sept 22, and I still have not heard anything from him either. This is not an inexpensive hotel to stay at, and it is very frustrating when you have an issue and no one will even acknowledge your emails. I don't know if we will even stay here again."

"We booked last minute with very few options available to us as a family of 5.we wanted the option of indoor and outdoor pool as we knew a cold front was on its way in. The staff has been wonderful! Very polite and accommodating! Before we originally booked I did call and ask about booking for 5 in a 2 queen bed room and they said not a problem they will just put a roll away in the room for the 5th person. There is no housekeeping until you check out so they leave you bags to put your garbage and linens in the hallway. You stop to the front desk and they replace what you need. Very easy! I don’t wake up early enough for breakfast but my husband and one daughter do, they love it.... say the woman are so pleasant and everything is so clearly labeled that it is a breeze to order your breakfast with them! The complaints I do have Is with the up-keep of the whole room. The shower head and curtain rod are falling off, bathroom is on the smaller side. The rugs need an update, many stains and smells musty. The bathroom door and the hallway door stick horribly, so Sometimes my kids get stuck in there and have to yell for help to get out! Lol! The hallways are always so hot and musty! So the staff is wonderful here, but these rooms need updates!!!!"
"The place was lovely and the staff very polite. I remember mentioning to them that it was our wedding anniversary. SURPRISE they prepared a very romantic room for us. The room was very clean, and smelled good. We stay on a king’s bedroom, with view of the bay, and it wasn’t too expensive. The breakfast was simple but good, you could actually made your own waffles. This place is not too fancy, but is nice and cozy, especially for a weekend getaway on the winter time"
"Came here for a getaway with my husband and let me tell you that this place is so romantic and cozy. We are planning another trip here. You have to go the Bar there, they have dollars pinned on the ceiling from everyone that has visited the place. "

"We stopped here overnight on our way to Bar Harbor Maine. It was at night when we checked in, so didn't get to see much of the place until the next morning. After getting up went outside to explore and boy what a place. The LOCATION of it right on the beach is unbeleiveable. We also ate breakfast at their resturant there. Great buffet and the service staff were very nice. The rooms are a little dated but it is the LOCATION!"
"We stayed here four nights on a recent trip to Cape Cod. It’s a great place to stay. Right on the beach which is manicured and beautiful. Our room was very comfortable. The breakfast buffet is top notch. Some of our mornings started out cool so it was a welcome sight and smell to walk into the buffet area to bacon, eggs and coffee. Staff is top notch too."
"As others have said, the rooms are dated (and a couple of things broke), but I really enjoyed my stay there. Bed was comfortable, big balcony with chairs and lounger, nice pool, lovely beach with free chairs and towels, The beach was very good for swimming. I wasn't there with kids, but it would be great for families. Movies on the lawn at night, etc. It was all quite lovely."

"Resort has a nice location on a river, (I think it's the Mill River) on Cape Cod. This part of Cape Cod is very commercial, lots of traffic, but OK if you like shopping. You do have to drive to get to the beaches. The nearest one we liked was Seagull Beach. The resort has an outdoor pool but it was closed when we were there. There is an indoor pool but it was a very long walk from our unit. Our unit was nice and clean. Liked having two bathrooms. It is unfortunate that you cannot cook in your unit except with microwave and toaster. There is no dishwasher so in the days of Covid we just bought paper goods and plastic cutlery. The coffeemaker is a Keurig so we could not use the coffee we had brought from home. Luckily, there is a breakfast restaurant across the street and a Dunkin Donuts about a half mile away. We had a view of the parking lot, but the little patio/porch off our bedroom was nice to sit on and people watch. "
"Can’t believe i chose the Cove at random and i’m glad i did..went in not expecting much but went home pleased..the moment we checked in with Venton he made us feel welcome and at home already..place is very clean, comfortable, our room is very nice, place is accessible to everything even the town center..all attractions are nearby and can’t wait to come back and next time during summer.."
"The resort was clean ,the people were friendly. The pool area was great. The exercise room was a little small but workable. The restaurant attached to the resort had wonderful food and great cocktails. Overall it was a wonderful experience."
